Austria Haus Hotel

My wife and I sayed here for a ski vacation. We really enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect located right at the covered bridge, and close to the shopping and dining in Vail village and only 5 min walk to the Gondola. Our bedroom was cozy and clean, staff is very friendly, and the continental breakfast was just what we needed to grab a quick bite prior to hitting the slopes (unless you prefer to spend $100 at a fancy sit down place). The heated bathroom floors are fabulous and we utilized the humidifier present in the closet. Only con was you could hear the town shuttles running outside until 1am with a room facing the roadway. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub were much needed amenities and both very clean and nice. The hotel was right across the street from our shared airport shuttle drop off at the Vail transportation center. We used the 8150 ski shop across the way at the Mountain Haus for our rentals and they stored our skis each night. We will be choosing this place again on our next trip!

As a repeat guest the experience was as good or better than before ( it was just at the end of Covid restrictions). Parking is expensive at $60 per night but that’s Vail where there is no convenient parking. Will definitely return and recommend!

Great resort with a full breakfast included to get you ready for the slopes. Easily walkable to Gondola One. Great heated hot tub and pool overlooking the mountain to relax in after skiing.

Beautiful hotel, great location in vail village. Breakfast was good, pool looks over the creek, valet parking is convenient.

First off there were several positives! Great location, manager very friendly, breakfast was amazing. On the down side… Most of the things in our room did not work, all valet parked cars the windows are left down. When I requested my car they brought someone else’s, then I loaded all my own luggage. The woman supposed to help with activities at concierge desk was horribly rude and didn’t want to be bothered. The walls were not cleaned as walls were dirty though the rest of the room seemed very clean. More Helpful to select guests and it was obvious. My child was injured as the pool has little specks of glass in the wall that are coming out and a piece was jammed under her toe. Staff at time seemed mostly concerned with looking in pool. I had to yell at two grown men to get me a first aid kit for my bleeding child multiplie times before they went looking for one. Another guest brought me items to help in same amount of time. Then as soon as the employees got the glass from me they disappeared and had nothing else to say to us.When we requested a receipt we were told since we booked through Expedia that they won’t give us a receipt we have to ask Expedia. They also informed us since we booked through Expedia none of the amenities were covered so we were going to be up charged a resort fee for not booking directly. This was supposed to be waived upon setting up our Hyatt account but was not I stead they said they would drop it due to my child being injured but we had to complain

Hotel is centrally located, great breakfast, a little outdated no bar but very close to all shops restaurants and bus transportation to ski lift.

Great staff (Paula, Eva, and Kim—concierge and Paul at front desk). Wonderful breakfast included. Nice location in Vail Village near restaurants and shopping. Decent limited selection of wine, beer, and liquor at the small bar. Pool and hot tub overlooking the river. Easy access to hiking. Parking is pricey ($40 per night) but cheaper that other options in public garage ($65/24 hours). Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful property! Room felt very luxurious and immaculate. Beds felt like high end linens were used. Bath towels and robes were soft and comfy. Walk to Gondola took us 5 minutes with ski boots on. They have a complimentary ski valet at the gondola so you don’t have to carry your ski equipment back and forth. Breakfast was made to order omelettes our first day and scrambled eggs & sausage the next. There was also a huge variety of other breakfast foods. Parking was $60 a day. That was a shocker and unexpected! There were no other parking options.

Austria Haus has a terrific location by the Gore Creek in Vail Village. Amazing restaurants and shopping; love the pool and hot tub above the Creek!

This is hotel was well maintained and had an European feel. It was clean hotel. A European breakfast with meats, cheeses and yogurt was included which was nice.

The Austria Haus is absolutely charming and impeccably clean. The staff is extremely accommodating and prompt in assisting with any request. The rooms are large, and the linens and pillows are first-rate. With lovely breakfasts and views, this is our hotel of choice in Vail.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Austria Haus! We had a King suite for 3 nights that had a Murphy bed, as well as sofa bed. The bathroom floors are heated, which is perfect after coming home from the slopes! The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast provided was different every day and a great perk before getting outdoors for the rest of the day. The staff is also wonderfully accommodating and kind. We will absolutely be returning here in the future!

The location relative to the base station as well as restaurants is good. The hotel has a bit of a dated feel to it, the elevators are slow and so noisy that we heard them well in our room. The breakfast, at this nightly rate, is definitely not living up to expectations, I’ve had much better breakfast options in places that cost a fraction of the cost of the Austria Haus.

The Austria Haus is absolutely charming and impeccably clean. The staff is extremely accommodating and prompt in assisting with any request. The rooms are large, and the linens and pillows are first-rate. With lovely breakfasts and views, this is our hotel of choice in Vail.

First off there were several positives! Great location, manager very friendly, breakfast was amazing. On the down side… Most of the things in our room did not work, all valet parked cars the windows are left down. When I requested my car they brought someone else’s, then I loaded all my own luggage. Then as soon as the employees got the glass from me they disappeared and had nothing else to say to us.When we requested a receipt we were told since we booked through Expedia that they won’t give us a receipt we have to ask Expedia. This was an amazing hotel and the staff was simply the best we have EVER experienced! They took care of us in every way and made us feel more than welcome! So friendly and helpful!

Outstanding property and staff. I booked this and was not sure what the stay would be like. The staff is incredible. Breakfast is perfect and great selections. Only one comment regarding breakfast and coffee please offer a milk alternative (almond or oat milk). The cookies after skiing was a nice touch. Extremely clean rooms with all the comforts of home. Great location and the hot tub was perfect. The service and staff was the best I have ever experienced even better than 5 star properties. I cannot say enough about this property and the staff. They were THE kindness and most professional staff I have ever encountered at any property I have stayed. They went above and beyond and treated us like family. I highly recommend this property to stay. Bed was amazing, breakfast was exceptional, and the gentleman at the front desk was phenomenal. This will be my go to in Vail.

This hotel is in a great location. Rooms were clean. Staff was not as helpful as you might experience at a nicer hotel but they weren't bad. You get a reasonable hotel at a great location for a good price.
