The property is misrepresented in descriptions saying it has a restaurant. A bar with very limited hours and a bartender who serves microwaved and cold snacks as well as drinks is not a restaurant. And the bar was closed for one of our two nights for a “baby shower” party. The pool and gym were well equipped and nicely kept. The staff was mostly nice but clueless about events on the premises and amenities in the area. Our room was clean but depressingly bare: faux wood floors with no floor or wall coverings and a large expanse of empty space. The lighting was sparse and there were not enough electric outlets. No outlet on my side of the bed and so could not keep my phone in reach and charge it overnight. Finally, the property should advertise that it is dog friendly to warn off those who are not comfortable sharing a hotel with strange dogs. There were dogs everywhere and the lawns of the property was pockmarked with dog poop.

We enjoyed our stay. Booked two nights for The Big E. It was very convenient and enjoyed the nice goodie bag we received upon check in. Room was clean and comfortable. Only down side was the hotel bar is closed on Sunday’s and Mondays. In my opinion it should be open daily. Everyone should be able to enjoy the amenities the hotel has to offer everyday.. Other than that I highly recommend. It was perfect otherwise!

Really unhappy we had to pay for parking and that then we had to walk all the back to the parking lot to put a permit in our car. Then we feel the check in person put us in a room ALLLLL the way at the end of a long hallway, as I complained about the parking. Maybe. The hotel was actually quite beautiful but the layout with the long hallway with the only elevator at one end was not a good design.

Stay was fine. No issues with check in or staff. Plenty of towels room was clean. Pool was nice and good size. Looked a little stained and dirty around the exterior of pool wall, probably needs to be cleaned. Only complaint was large party with band was playing outside and could be heard past 9:30 PM.

The room has definitely been neglected. It was shabby, not well cleaned. There was dirt on the floor, drywall had chunks missing from it. The desk was clean. They also charge $7/ night to park in an open parking lot which is ridiculous. It's not in a city, it's not indoor parking.

The bed was so comfortable, the room was extremely clean. Staff was friendly. I spent 5 nights there over the holiday weekend, and room refresh was done twice as requested. Breakfast every day was a great selection. Eggs, meats, fruit, bagels, pastries, waffles. Outdoor pool looked clean. I didn't swim because the weather was rainy.

The rooms were very basic, no frills. The beds were in need of replacing, lumpy and sagging in areas. The ac was set at 75 and could not be changed. The bathroom had a rolling barn door that would not stay shut. The pub was closed for a private function. Adequate buffet breakfast, coffee was a decent. The adjoining room door kept getting stuck due to recently being painted.

Great hotel. Liked everything. Only thing that I didn’t enjoy was the barn door bathroom door. The gap and no lock on the door offered little privacy. Made use of the bathroom very awkward and uncomfortable. If travelling with someone you’re not extremely close with it may be an issue

The staff were good, and the hotel is clean and well maintained. There were just some really annoying aspects of the hotel. First the elevators were as cold as outside the entire time. The parking (charged for) lot is small relative to the hotel size and was hard to find parking if you were coming back after 4 pm. I got back at 5 pm one night and there were about 5 spots left at the very bottom of the hill in the lot. There is a sensor on the thermostat so that the heat doesn't run if there is no motion in the room. Do you know how fun it is to wake up to cold blowing air and a room you set at 72 being 65 degrees? At one point I had the heat set to 80, felt the cold blowing air and watched the thermostat go down from 73, 72,71, 70 and never had any warm air. A technician came and disconnected the wall thermostat from the unit and I was finally able to maintain it at a comfortable temperature. The final annoyance was the lack of tea options with caffeine. Most days I didn't find one at breakfast and had to ask for it. There was tons of decaf options though. I would not stay again.

Upon check in for our two rooms, we gave the hotel both our names and my drivers license. She proceeded to look up our reservations and stated we only had one room booked with a King bed. There were 8 of us! I said there is a mistake because I have my confirmations for 2 rooms with 2 Queen beds on the top floor (I paid more for the top floor). She continued to tell me what the third party sent them was different from what I had reserved and the hotel so full so nothing they could do. She then stated we were there on the wrong day as well and continued arguing even after showing her both reservation confirmations. She turned her computer screen around to prove her assertions. In doing so, thankfully, my husband saw the name on the reservation she was attempting to put us in was neither of our names! Reminder, she had my drivers license which clearly states my name to help in searching correctly. After a 15 minute ordeal of back and forth and stress, she finally located our correct rooms.

Checking in was not a good first impression. The desk clerk was not very “hospitable” He spoke very fast and seemed very irritated by my questions about handicap accessible rooms. When booking the room it listed in the amenities details that the two Queen bed room was handicap accessible. He said no and that the handicap accessible rooms were not available and this was all he had. I did not contact the property regarding this issues because it was listed in the description of the room I chose. I did not purchase the trip insurance because I thought I’d taken care of it online so leaving was not an option. I was also bummed that the restaurant on the property was not open on Mondays which means we had to go out for food. We checked in at 7:50 and had an infant with us.

I've made it 40 years of life without ever being informed that a hotel room that I booked (months prior) was not available. I figured it would HAVE to happen some day, but was not prepared for it yesterday when the Fairfield Inn and Suites contacted me to let me know that there was "some emergency" that required the people checking out of my room to extend their trip. I booked this room on February 13 because I'm a planner. So to receive a call 1.5 hours before I'm arriving from 4.5-5 hours away to be informed that they have relocated my reservation another 20 minutes further north -- was not a cool way to cap off an already frustrating drive. So, why the two stars? They did go to the extra effort to rebook us at the secondary hotel. A fact that they reminded me a few times during the call ... like they were somehow trying to reverse mind-eff me into being ok with this inconvenience. If you can somehow guarantee yourself a reservation here, or there are no other lodging options in a 20 minute radius, then I guess go here. Otherwise, you are taking a risk of being inconveniently moved at the last minute.

Great place to stay while visiting Six Flags with my granddaughter. The park opens at 11:00 and checkout is at 11:00 so very convenient. Also a great restaurant right next to the hotel.

Ran out of Dinner, when you are away from places to eat you need to have enough FOOD For your guests. My husband and I have been traveling since 5 AM driving from Nova Scotia. We did not want to get back in the car, we wanted to eat dinner at the hotel. There was one hamburger and one watery salad not sufficient.
