I would not stay here again. There was no working internet, the pool is closed in the evening, the pool was cold and dirty, they lock up the pool area which closes off a sitting area, the cushions in the sitting area by the pool were very dirty and ripped, the room floors walls and draperies were dirty, maintenance was unkept. Overall this place was misleading and I did not receive what it said I would.

I have pictures of the busted electric sockets, burn holes in our blankets, dirty. Definitely not as pictured. We were sent to our room, key didnt work twice, turns out, wrong room. The pool closed not long after we got there so didnt get to swim. Luckily it was just a one night stay. Elevator didnt work.

The pool area is lovely and staff was exceptional. We were not informed that they were closing the pool for a private party and we had no access from 1pm until after 9 pm. The party was exceptionally loud with a DJ and loud music. We paid $10 @ night "resort fees" and had no access to the pool for one night. No hair dryer and the shower leaked. Not enough towels were available.TV had to be replaced and the maintenance man was exceptional.

For the price this place was a good deal. Disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance as that was the main reason we chose this hotel because we wanted to swim. But the room was clean. Staff was friendly.

The pool was awesome but I wish it stayed open later. It closes at dusk.

Pool out of service , rude staff

Great location! Bar is conveniently close to the pool. Missed the comedy club but all in all great time with some of the guests!

I had issues with the key to the room every day of my stay. Doors that didn’t work and elevator that didn’t work

I was not happy with the room. It was really dirty. The blankets the sheets were dirty. The bathroom super dirty I had to use my own towel because the one I got were dirty. I’m sorry to say this, but I really had bad experience and I will not stay there anymore, you guys need to do a lot of cleaning in those rooms those windows the border are so dirty. The AC unit is so dirty. I have to be moved from one room to the other because of the smell of cigarette and weed and it was not the smell was disgusting everywhere. The only thing that was looking nice was the pool everything else was disgusted 👎

This place was pretty gross. The walkways had trash and cigarette butts in various places. The rooms had faux wood floors that look nice in pictures, but nasty in person. The walls were dirty and scratched. The pool that looks so nice online wasn't that great. The people are the front were friendly. I hope I get my $100 deposit back and can't imagine what it was needed for. Wouldn't return there.

The rooms were dirty! My son walked around the room for 10 minutes and his feet were black. There was a dead roach on the bathroom floor. Luckily we only stayed one night but were too tired to try to find another hotel.

a day ago on Google I only gave it a one star because zero is not an option! The photos are completely false advertising. Our room looked nothing like the photos. The furniture was all broken and old. There were rusted metal bars sticking out from under the beds which was extremely dangerous with our toddler. The shower faucet did not fully close so it was just always running water and there were no working outlets so we could not charge our phones. The smell in the room was horrible as well. There are beer boxes, glasses and cans all over the property. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone. The doors, walls, and floor was filthy, I don’t think the property has been cleaned in months or even years. There are also no curtains on the windows so the lights from the hallway were shining in our eyes the entire night, not to mention the people doing donuts with their cars outside. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

The bed was comfortable and bug free. EVERYTHING else was horrid and filthy.

I arrived early the front desk clerk stated the room was not clean this was 3:49 pm check in was for 4pm. I was given room 209, upon entering the room it had the smell of bleach, however, the room was not clean including the bathroom. I saw roaches running on the wall and one of the night stand. I left.

Common area's are disgusting

The room was not clean, the towels were stained, baseboards was dirty, roaches was in the bathroom.

Bed was broken, very loud late at night due to people standing outside partying. Walls were dirty and floors where pretty gross

Terrible room condition

Area was dirty. The hotel looked like they used cheap labor to put the hotel upgrades together. Alot of the hotel looked like it was thrown together. Lights were unplugged plaster was over run, bed frames were crooked and off. No USB plugs, no desk. Microwave on top of a night stand with no access to a power receptacle...just poorly done.

The infrastructure is to old and have issues

Pool was great! Beautiful waterfall, plenty of comfortable seating and shade. Our room smelt like a musty basement. Had to buy an air freshener. Our remote didn’t work but maintenance came and switched tvs and everything was fine. The location was awesome. Next to everything u need without a car. Walking distance to McDonald’s, Walgreens, chick-fil- A, and crane roost park. Overall a great wknd.

Too many things are wrong, just stay away from this hotel. Rooms had weed odor, linens were brown insgead of white, hallways and entrance to elevator had trash spread all over. Rooms don't have blackout curtains so you can't sleep all night because it's so bright. We even left a day earlier, it was preferable to loose the money for the extra day than going through the torture of another sleepless night.

Our stay was ok. The bed was comfortable the room was new and clean. The bathroom was not good. We believe there is a leak from the toilet and the shower was horrible, the water temperature was either boiling hot or cold. I actually burned my toes from the scalding hot water.

If you're in a bind and need cheap accommodations, this would be an option. I'm not at all a fussy traveler when it comes to these things but there are several things to note for those who are. This first issue comes with the area. I arrived very late at night and although the lobby was well-lit and welcoming, the surrounding area where my room was located was NOT. The parking lot was pitch dark and the 'porch lights' by the room doors were so dim, they barely casted a glow. Walking up the steps to my room, something became apparent. The upkeep was almost non-existent. Trash was all over the ground and stairwell, trashcans overflowed, the paint on the walls was chipping and cracking and the stairs were coated in a dark grimy texture. Thankfully my room was more or less fine. A cracked tub with squeaky water pressure, a little hair in the corner, nonexistent wifi with a TV that had hit and miss channel selection. If I had to quantify these aspects of my stay, I'd say the facilities/surrounding area gets a 3/10 and the room probably gets about a 6.5/10. If all you're gonna do is sleep here it's fine for 8 hours, but if you're 'staying' you should probably keep looking...

Service was terrible. The receptionist was not polite at checkout. What blew my mind before they can give me back my security deposit, They had to go check the room. I told her I had a flight to catch and she never came back I assume she called the front desk, 20 minutes later.

I didn't like it because it had a roach, in our room didn't feel safe, staff was good atending but the place need improvement as well.

Overall we had a good experience. Five stars for Ester and the rest of the team; they were very friendly and accommodating. They made the stay great. Thank you all!

Customer service was rude and dismissive upon arrival, and when we had an issue. Relief customer service, Chris, was more helpful. Outlets behind bed loose and unsafe. We were not happy with the room or the experience.

My key don’t worked, I went to reception and the person in front try me very bad, I asked for her name and her don’t gave me. She laughed and never fix me the problem. I called the police to got inside my room. I made a complaint at the reception but never received response.

While I appreciate the front desk staff's efforts, they were clearly overworked and the hotel's condition was unacceptable. My stay began badly. Upon arrival, the TV and phone in my assigned room were non-functional, and the toilet barely flushed. After a late-night room change, facilitated by the apologetic desk staff, I discovered the TV in the second room also didn't work, with a vague explanation that the cable "goes out." More concerning was the cleanliness. The room was visibly dirty, with dirt and hair found on the sheets. A late-night bathroom visit revealed a significant roach infestation. While I understand this is a budget hotel, basic cleanliness and pest control should be non-negotiable. Furthermore, the advertised "continental breakfast" was a complete misrepresentation. I specifically confirmed the breakfast offerings before booking and was told it included cereal, breakfast bars, fruit, yogurt, etc. At 8:30 AM, only milk, juice, and fruit were available. Ultimately, we slept fully clothed on top of the questionable sheets. This was, without exaggeration, one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I've ever had. I strongly advise potential guests to consider other options. Management needs to address these serious issues immediately.

Dirty rooms. Had water leak in our room and were not notified until we got back. Had to move to a different room without a pool view and we paid for a pool view. Asked for extra towels and blankets cuz they only gave us 2 for 4 people. Came in our room everyday and took our towels without asking. After waiting 9 hours we went down to get towels and blanket and person was rude and we did get mad. He made rude comment when he walked away. My husband found a bloody needle by the trash can and the guy at the desk didn’t care even tho there were kids around. Only 1 computer to check people in and there was always a line. I wouldn’t stay here again!! You shouldn’t have to ask multiple times for things. Also asked for a wake up call so we could catch out plane and the lady said ok. Set my alarm on my phone and no wake up call. When I called the front desk and said we didn’t get a wake up call she said so and hung up. Stay away from here unless you want a drug infested place. The only good thing was the pool and that isn’t enough for me to stay again. Whoever owns it needs to be aware of how it is being ran u less they just don’t care. We seen the reviews but decided to give it a try and get our own opinion and we should have went with the reviews said and stay away!!

This is obviously an older property but you can tell the management and staff work hard to make it as good as it can be. Beautiful pool and waterfall.

Someone tried to break into my rental in the parking lot

I loved the back area, the pool and sitting area very clean and beautiful. The front parking lot had a lot of people yelling and just hanging out in parking lot and stairs area all night some even there in the mornkng still.

As driving in we came across a guy who was on drugs and it was scary. Groups hanging in parking lot late at night. I stood there 2 years ago and it wasn’t like that

Love this place, 2nd stay in a month. Great location, parking area, restaurant's, shops, mall walking distance. Easy check in and out. Beautifully decorated in lobby, pool, rooms.

It is a place that have eating establishments in close vicinity.

Lady at the front desk was extremely nice. The room was okay. I was a little uneasy about the activity coming from the rooms facing the parking lot side. I almost stepped on a Syringe in the parking lot and there was a guy standing on the 2nd floor smoking Marijuana and then we saw drug addicts on the stairs getting high and that was all before we checked in. When we got out room...it was on the pool side and the everything was completely opposite. IDK maybe they keep that crowd on the outside. I did not feel safe leaving my vehicle there because was watching us as we were walking through the parking lot. My room was okay for a weekend stay for the price.

False advertising I will be seeking a full refund of my hotel stay. It is a home suite not a hotel. Swimming pool not available, restaurant not available, room didn’t even have hangers nor iron . I will be seeking a full refund.

So I had a trip to Florida to visit family. I was going to have some downtime, so I specifically searched for a hotel with a bar and activities. That's the ONLY reason I chose Opal. When I arrived to the empty hotel I was advised that the bar and comedy club were only open on Saturdays, I had to leave Friday morning. There was no explanation or sympathy from staff, they just reiterated there was nothing going on until after I had to go. I was charged a 20.00 resort fee that wasn't mentioned on the website as well as a 100.00 security deposit (none of which was mentioned in the site. So I get my keycard and walk to my room. The room and entire property is absolutely filthy. I'll share pics, but rusty dirty lamps and fixtures, literal fecal matter smeared on bathroom walls, a literal hole in the floor in bathroom, dirty curtains, tv that boasts 28 local channels, a pool with trash strewn around and ripped and filthy furniture. They never did turnover service on my room after night one, and many other issues! This is the most disgusting place I've ever been, I never felt safe, and there's nothing to justify a "RESORT" fee. Please don't give these scammers your money.

Very dirty, not all maintained the premesis. Bugs everywhere crawling. Continental breakfast was miserable. There is nothing to eat. Very limited and restricted. No hot water for drinking. As soon as you enter, look wise very attractive. If you walk out of the reception, every thing is dirty

No breakfast.

The only thing is nice there is the pool, I pick at room non smoking when we open the door smells so bad at cigarette, hotel said has at bar and restaurant was none was closed , hallways so dirty and walking on the stair so dirtier, at night couples yelling can’t sleep , is sad is at nice area but the hotel need at make over

The restaurant is closed and has been for a while. A lot of sketchy people walking around that come up and ask if you want or do drugs. The hot water does not work properly in the shower. Overall an awful place I would not recommend at all. The staff were not helpful. The rooms were disgusting there were blood stains on the floor. The pool hours are not correct and the pool seating area is filthy.
