Bahama House - Daytona Beach Shores

Good hotel, a little older. Great location. Very friendly staff. Room was clean, and very comfortable. Downside: only one ice machine working in building and same with elevator. Underground parking was very tight area. Staff was good about telling you before you tried to park. Continental breakfast was only cold foods and very limited. Felt it was a good hotel and would definately stay again. Even with things not working, they were actively trying to get them working again.

Don’t plan to sleep in if staying here. Cleaning service will bang on your doors at 9 to clean room. Hotel was clean. Free breakfast was very limited on choices as well as the happy hour. Big disappointment is this hotel has no restaurant or bar. Outdoor area was very small and lacked shade. Rooms were very big , clean and our partial ocean view was amazing

The oceanfront room offered phenomenal views from the 8th floor. It was a large, clean room, and the staff was always pleasant. The pool and hot tub were very nice, and although many guests were using them, it didn’t feel overcrowded. I appreciated the location, as it was slightly removed from the congested tourist area of Daytona Beach. We'll definitely be back!

Small pool for such large amount of people, again no enough parking space for the amount of guesses.

Enjoyed our one night stay. The room was clean, bigger than expected, the beds were comfy, the pool and hot tub were wonderful also beautiful views of the ocean. I don't know if it was like this in every room but our ac unit was loud even when it stopped blowing it constantly made noise like wind blowing thru it. So to watch tv we had to turn it up pretty loud. It however helped to block out any other noise so it was helpful.

Stayed in an ocean front deluxe kitchenette, love the balcony. Full size fridge, microwave and 2 burner stove. Clean rooms and clean resort, they have daily continental breakfast and a managers happy hour. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sun deck facing the beach, there is beach access. Staff is great! Location is about 1.5 miles from the dayton pier. If i had a complaint it would be about the wi-fi, it was weak and spotty in our room. This is my go to dayton hotel

Booked this after staying at another hotel that was further away from the beach. The gym was great and the free breakfast was also. Great place and safe. Lots of cameras and ev charger. The ev charger saved me a lot of money. The staff, was especially friendly. The young man in the afternoons was knowledgeable and helpful.

We were so surprised at how nice the Bahama House is for the small price. Room was large. Furniture and mattress seemed brand new! Bed was actually comfortable! View from our "partial ocean view" room was great. Staff were indeed very friendly and helpful as I had read in other reviews. Only negative was low water pressure in the shower and not very hot water at the bathroom sink. But we weren't staying long enough to call maintenance. They worked fine. Tide was very high due to storms so we didnt spend a lot of time on the beach. However, during normal weather patterns there would be plenty of beach with nice sand to play in. I loved that we could walk right off the property onto miles of sand great for walking or jogging or just enjoying the warm ocean water. We didnt use the pool or hot tub, but they were very clean and heated to a nice temperature. I would absolutely come back.

Facility was ok. Front desk was very friendly. Breakfast space was congested and small with few options, person running breakfast area was less than friendly. Hot tub was roped off so unable to access that throughout our stay. Access to the beach was very easy from facility.

We had a deluxe waterfront room (801) and the view was great and the room was very large, clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was nice to have. The bathroom was clean and updated. Plenty of surface and underground parking. Enjoyed the daily happy hour and the continental breakfast. All staff were friendly and we would definitely stay again if in the area. My only negative comments / room for improvements would be new sheets and towels (one of our beds has holes in the sheets and 2 of our towels had holes) and the carpet transition from the bedroom to the balcony was too short and the tackstrip was exposed and my wife stepped on it.

The mold smell in our room killed our allergies. The room by looks was very clean however the smell of mold was very present. Would not recommend.

What a fantastic night sleep we had. Waking up to the sound of crashing waves made our stay perfect. Staff was amazing, and always very helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping staff was awesome!! So kind and thorough. Pool area was fantastic. Such a clean place to spend our vacation. We plan to visit again. It’s our new Daytona Beach go-to!

Large room, clean stairs, very clean rooms and pool area.

This was our second stay here and we were pleased both times. Hotel is very clean. Staff is very friendly. No hidden fees. They offer a continental breakfast and a happy hour daily which is hard to find beachfront. We will definitely be back.

Nice front desk helpers. Continental breakfast was ok. The jacuzzi was green. They told us we had to park a second car across the street, but there was plenty of parking in the underground garage. My daughter stepped on glass in our room, so the floors were not cleaned well.

Very clean resort with friendly staff, great continental breakfast and cocktail hour. Easy access to beach and beach area is easy to walk on.

The hotel was very clean. The beds, and linens on the beds were exceptional. The hospitality was amazing. We HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Even the choice of soap was lovely. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Property was close to the beach and had some good amenities. The only issue we had was finding a cockroach in our room and having to check out early due to not wanting to risk staying there and finding more. We only found one but was not taking any chances.

Check in was great. Partial ocean view was beautiful. Room was clean but if you don’t get a kitchen there is no coffee or cups.

I really enjoyed the fantastic 10th floor full view of the beach! Our kitchenette was awesome, clean, and appreciated for 3/4 size fridge and freezer. Beds were very comfortable. Sounds of the waves were so relaxing at any time.

Comfortable beds, amazing views, convenient location! Only thing I’d complain about is lack of water pressure in the shower, other than that it was great. I’d definitely stay there again, great price for what you get!!

Staff was extremely rude and not very helpful at all. Ones first impression when they walk into a hotel should be one of feeling welcome. The people we encountered were not even remotely welcoming.

Front staff were friendly and helpful. Martin who was on breakfast was a great guy who we shared interest in soccer.

Jane, behind the front desk, went above and beyond during our stay! Anything we could possibly need, she was on it, and more! The housekeeping staff was just as nice! I HIGHLY recommend staying here! Upon arriving in the hotel, the room did specify I was getting 2 room seperate, superior room . When I get into the room was one room and I called front desk and told them what I was supposed to be getting and they said was lie and they were rude abt the whole thing and shouldn’t have said that. I wanted to leave but my room was paid already . Terrible service especially from the manager . She needs to learn how properly be trained on her job

Great time for Daytona 500. Giant cost and understandable but when you spend that type of money to use a room from 11pm to 11am only; you don’t expect the employee to deny you a glass of juice because it’s 10 minutes passed the breakfast time. It’s the small things.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bahama House! Our room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful ocean view. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit, always ready to assist with a smile. The location is perfect—just a short drive or walk to shopping, dining, and everything else you might need. While we did have a little trouble connecting our Smart TV to the hotel Wi-Fi, it honestly didn’t matter much—the kids were thrilled with the pool and spent hours playing on the beach just steps away. If you're looking for a relaxing, family-friendly hotel right on the beach, I highly recommend Bahama House. We'll definitely be back!

The front desk lady was rude upon checking it. She was very cold and not very inviting to the motel.

I was very disappointed at check-in. The lady that helped us was extremely rude and disrespectful. You may want to consider new staff to deal with your guest as they check in. She was very mouthy and extremely rude eating, smacking her mouth while eating talking to us.

I liked how customer friendly the staff and hotel was for me. I really enjoyed my vacation there. I also loved the handicap accessible ramps to the beach and the property. It made the difference in my vacation. I am using a power wheelchair.

Great location for the beach

My friend and I stayed at Bahama House for 5 nights in early March. We have no bad things to say about our stay here and both agreed we would book again if we return to Daytona Beach. All the staff were very friendly and approachable during our stay. There are tons of restaurants, grocery stores and things to do within walking distance as well as access to the beach from the pool area.

Honestly, this is a very nice hotel We stay in Daytona a lot, and this is one of the best hotels that we probably had and it was on the cheaper side they serve free complementary drinks and breakfast in the mornings. The only thing that bothered me was that it was a very long walk to the pier there and back was about 4 miles .but we had an oceanfront view room and it was really pretty. Right on the water. Can’t beat that! All of the staff They all seem very nice and friendly. We usually don’t have any room service or cleaning done in our room while we stay at hotels, but when we ask for extra towels and soaps, they were given to us and she was very nice we made sure to give her a tip . And we always make sure to leave the rooms nice and clean before we leave. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Continental Breakfast is very mediocre, but enough to get kids started I guess. Facility is getting a little dated, but they are keeping up with it well. Access to the beach is great. Far enough out of the hustle of the center of town to be out of that mess, but had to drive for food. Barely enough parking for everyone but we were able to squeeze in every day.

The beach view is perfect. The breakfast not so great. Just used to the other places we’ve always had scrambled eggs and meat at least. But the staff were excellent.

The hotel was attractive and appeared to have been recently renovated. Our room was spacious with very comfortable beds and was very clean. The only negative aspect was the continental breakfast. The coffee was good but the pastries were poor and the pancakes Were inedible.

I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY! We had an oceanfront family room with two queen beds & a kitchenette. PROS: The property is VERY CLEAN! The staff is very helpful & friendly. The parking under the hotel was great to keep our vehicle from baking in the sun. The property is RIGHT ON THE BEACH. The pool isn't huge, but it was perfect. There are lounge chairs & umbrellas with regular tables. There is a shower directly off the beach to rinse off & a shower near the hot tub. The pool closes at 10:00 pm, which we loved, so it wasn't loud in the evening. The continental breakfast is limited to fresh fruit (bananas/oranges), bagels, muffins, danish, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, milk, juices, coffee & pancakes. There are plenty of condiments for the bagels - jelly, peanut butter, butter, etc. CONS: The pillows were horrible. It's the ONLY complaint we had. They were SO BAD that it felt like you were sleeping on a pile of rocks. BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW! OTHER INFO: There are pool towels provided, but they are just that - small pool towels. If you want a fluffy beach towel, bring your own. As mentioned, bring your own pillow. There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel (which we liked), but our room had a full size refrigerator, so we stocked up on what we needed. Restaurants were close and convenient. If you love a full hot breakfast, DAYTONA DINER is excellent and very close to the hotel. Grocery stores are close. We had a car so it was perfect.

The bed was a little bit lumpy, and the comforters are very cheap quality, the breakfast was pretty rough, they had no protein, only had bananas, no others fruit.

Our stay was wonderful we enjoyed. We will come back again, but I will say the breakfast Needs some work.

I liked everything about this property but the breakfast. I would have liked a warm breakfast witg eggs and meat not just pancakes and bagels. Not much protein

Exellent location. Very nice to have a heated pool. But cannot say anything good about breakfast and particulary coffe.

Nearly everything was an amazing experience. The only small complaint would be the selection of food for breakfast. Adding a meat option or having a different style of eggs (currently hard-boiled only) would really help. Other than that, highly recommended hotel.
