Clarion Pointe Lakeland I-4

My family and I were in town for our youth football game and from the moment I stepped foot inside the building it smelt so good. It was clean & quiet. We checked in pretty late, after 11:30pm, & the front desk receptionist was polite and in great spirits. Although the boiled eggs wasn’t the greatest choice for breakfast, it still was an enjoyable morning meal. The beds were extra comfortable, the room was clean and smelt great, and the pool was clean and warm. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again if we have to come back this way.

Check in was quick and parking was great because we didn’t need a parking pass. The room was clean and the entire place smelled fresh. I would stay again!

We were only in town for a short stay. The staff was very helpful and the room was very clean. We had family stop by and say hi, and enjoy the pool, which was very quiet and clean! We would stay again.

Beautiful room! A lot of space. Nice lighting (not too bright, not too dim). Pool area was nice...a little small, but it fit the size of the hotel. The gym area was very clean, organized. The breakfast was nice. Nice selection of items. Our only complaint is that we only stayed one night!!!

Firness room tvs dont work and no remotes. Need tv to workout

Lets see. First the hotel had changed names. We were not told. Address was very hard to see. Small sigh visible from one direction only (not the way we were coming.) New name took up 3/4 of sigh. Old name Sleep Inn very small. Went to dinner when we got back 100% of parking lot was full, we were told to park next door at Cracker Barrel. Took a shower, wife went to open sliding glass door. It fell off the rollers. If I were not also in the bathroom it would have fallen and could have broken. If it were to have broken and cut her you would have one hell of a law suite. Breakfast was good. Room was nice and clean. Need tables on both sides of beds.

This was perfect for our stay and would recommend it highly. Staff was friendly and helpful. They are remodeling but in the midst it was pretty clean. I was able to appreciate that. Our room was very clean, loved the floors and no rugs in the room. This was a huge benefit as pollen is high and allergies triggered. Microwave and fridge available. There was some dust that had settled possibly from remodeling. But not bad. Fitness room and pool were great and clean as well. Flat tv was great but internet was not connecting to tv. The guy tried to fix but not successful which was a bummer, but not a deal breaker. So only live channels were available. Thankfully we had our devices. We didn’t have a chance to try free breakfast as we had an early event to attend. Thank you for your hospitality!

All the staff were amazing and nice at the front desk. Everything we needed help with, they were happy to help. Very pleasant experience. The room was out of soap, but that was the only thing we had an issue with. The washer and dryer are a little dated and didnt dry our clothes in an hour cycle, but they're connected to an app that helps you pay for the load and gives you a time for when it was done. Difinately would go there again!

Everything about the property was the worse I’ve seen. Shower was a trickle, toilet backed up several times, room VERY worn. Were with two other couples, their rooms also had issues. No A/C in lobby, pool broke, continental breakfast a joke.

The place felt run down as soon as you walk in the door. Furniture was falling apart. Elevator floor had a hole in it. Pool was closed for some reason. It didn't have a clean feeling. I'll never stay in another Sleep Inn again. There is a $125 charge that I don't know what it is for. I'm waiting to see if it comes off.

THEY HAD ROACHES IN THE BEDROOM, not safe environment, not good or clean breakfast, super limited.

Disgusting, dirty, bugs in room. Almost $400 a night, major rip off. Multiple customers with same complaints.

Huge clean room! Comfortable bed and a fantasticly humorous introduction to the hotel from the lady in reception.

The front office staff was very accommodating. We arrived to a room with dirty sheets. Not permanently stained dirty. Like touch it , and the first would smear dirty. She changed out the sheets while we were gone, but the new sheets were dirty as well. We unfolded one of the towels, and there was dirt inside of the towel. The carpet throughout the halls is severely soiled. I would never stay here again

The hotel was comfortable enough and appeared to be clean until i got to the bathroom. Hair everywhere! Yuck It totally disgusted me. Wont be back

How they made it so clean and it smelled so good and Special and the rooms were so Big and roomy I will tell my Friends and family to pick this Hotel in Lakeland Florida and peoples that work there they were so nice

Shower curtain was full of mildew. Was not able to take shower. Staff just said they were sorry. Homeless person sleeping in stairway. Pool blocked off out of order- has been for quite some time per staff.

Water faucet in the shower was backwards

The room needs a black out curtain because there was a very bright light right outside the room that shone into the room and let too much light inside. It was like it was daylight all night. Plus, the door to the bathroom was warped and the shower was not in good condition. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

It was a nice stay, just sucks that with kids we were not able use the tv. The casting did not work and then regular channels did not work either.

Staff was friendly and efficient, room was clean but did have a musky smell like an older hotel would. Breakfast was good for a grab and go that we needed. Bathroom shower had some staining and rusting but overall great for the price

Our room was very large, and everything looked newer and nice. The bathroom/bathtub just looked in a little need of help. Other than that, great stay

Quiet, comfortable room.

Fabulous check in from the wonderful receptionist who took time to explain where everything was in hotel and was very welcoming. Room was quite large and spacious with a wonderful comfortable bed. Our room was spotlessly clean only thing I would say was floor was quite sticky and not too clean after walking around in your socks. Not a big problem just a point. All in all very good

I booked and prepaid my stay through Hotels.com for $102.00 for one night, with only a $3 fee due at check-in. When I arrived at 9 PM, the front desk was empty. After ringing the bell multiple times, a staff member finally appeared and told me I had to pay $3 plus a $100 deposit — nearly double the price of my prepaid stay, and something never disclosed during booking. I explained to the staff that I just wanted to check in at 9:00 PM (not at 12:45 AM after my movie finished) and asked if I could pay the deposit when I returned. She refused and told me to drive to a gas station ATM — which upset me even more since there was no ATM in the hotel lobby. As I was on my way to the bank, I received a call saying they had canceled my reservation altogether — seemingly out of revenge because I told the staff member she was rude and inconsiderate. I also pointed out that I’ve stayed at other Hotels.com properties in Key West and never once had to leave a $100 deposit. This left my family and me without a room late at night. Thankfully, Best Western nearby checked us in immediately for $115 and did not require any deposit. This Clarion Pointe was rude, unprofessional, and completely ruined our plans. I will never stay here again and strongly recommend others avoid this property at all costs.

This is a great smaller hotel. Very clean, friendly staff; nice amenities and great location. The original hotel we booked was not a good choice and it was a refreshing change to move to this hotel. Very happy with everything.

I arrived late and left by 10am, so did not get to fully experience all of the amenities. Staff were very polite & helpful.

I had to call to let them know we would be arriving late the first night and the girl at the front desk was so kind, she said no problem, just get her safely. Rooms were very clean, beds and pillows very comfy, AC worked great!! Very attentive, friendly and kind staff. They truly care about your experience. Felt very safe here, no issues with parking. Breakfast was better than most with hot protein options as well as the normal waffles, cereal, bagels. Pool was clean and safe, water temp was perfect. Would definitely stay again!!

First, I want to say, the lady at the front desk was amazing and tried her best to be very helpful. But the hotel double charged me plus charged me for the deposit and couldn’t figure out how to fix their mistake. They left me without the money I had budgeted for the trip because it is now tied up in fraudulent hotel charges. This continues to be a huge issue causing problems with our trip. In addition, we were put in one of the renovated rooms, but there are no curtains, and the bright lights shining in the window made it seem like daylight all night long. Not super important, but the TV is so tiny you can’t really watch it laying in bed. And the noise from the highway is so loud you kind of need it. Overall, it was not a great experience and we stay in a lot of hotels. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

Finding the hotel was confusing . Location was good. Info on close food places would be helpful although crackle barrel right next door was good because of my late arrival. Info on tv, e.g. how to operate remote would have been helpful

The picture I saw made me a little skeptical about the area. I was wrong , the place was really good. Close to I-4, near several restaurants {like walking close}. It was next door to a hotel I stay at several months ago at a 1/3 higher rate.

Very clean facility with friendly and helpful staff. the breakfast (cold sausage and frozen boiled eggs) wasn't real up to par and the microwave in our room needs to be replaced. Other than that it was a good stay.

Property is newly renovated and in good shape. The problem I had was at breakfast. Not much of a hot selection. Grabbed a banana to take with me since there wasn’t much offered that I wanted to eat and the girl at the front desk told me I had to put the banana back because food is not allowed to leave the dining area. What kind of policy is it when you can’t walk away with a banana? Usually stay at Hilton properties but they were too expensive for this trip so I thought I would try this place. Obviously they are too cheap and penny pinching if they prohibit a customer from taking a banana out of the dining area to eat. NEVER AGAIN WITH CHOICE HOTELS.

The property has been recently renovated and they redid everything. It looks like a new hotel, very nice. We didn't visit the pool, so can't comment on that. Breakfast was OK, not a lot of variety, the reliable waffle machine is there, the eggs and bacon were not so good. Good coffee, juice, cereal and fruit choices.

The stay was great, had everything we needed and when we needed towels it was no hassle. Although the breakfast could have been better. In terms of variety maybe there could have been more options.

Hotel was great for a quick overnight stay. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. The only negative we encountered was the breakfast was disappointing. The eggs provided were awful. I would rate the breakfast 2 out of 10.
