This hotel is SW of downtown Ocala, in the cluster of hotels just off I75. It is very convenient to the World Equestrian Center, about a 15 minutes drive North. The room was attractive, clean and everything worked (lights, TV, microwave, refrigerator). TV channel selection was better than usual (CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, ESPN, etc) Ample hot water and towels. The lobby area was large with seating options for ~ 40 people with a low noise level to enjoy breakfast. In the evening the same area served drinks. The highway noise did not enter the room. The pool looked good but the weather (60*F) did not encourage it's use.

Too many renovations going on that nobody informed us of. No elevator to go down only up, stairs cut off, no ice machines. Doors slam when someone goes into or out of their rooms, walls are paper thin.

The Deluxe Room with pool view was nice, especially for the price point. What we didn’t like was we were told to drive around to entrance A and entrance A was out of order. So we went to the next entrance which worked but the elevator was out of order. Then the ice machine was out of order. All of those items were out of order for all three days we were there. Our impression is the hotel needs some upkeep.

Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and the mattress was comfortable. The pool was clean but we noticed the outside areas were not very well maintained around the entrances and sidewalks.

It was disappointing to see that the fire pit was not working and the washers were out of service. We had to fix the shower curtain rod in our room, and the drainage was terrible. The tub filled while trying to get a shower This was a 3 day stop to house hunt in the area, some of the amenities were the reason we picked here. The staff was wonderful, but maintenance could have been better.

I was surprised to see the condition of the rooms considering the price of the hotel. I had to change rooms because my original room was so musty and smelly. It felt like being in a cheap motel room. The carpet was old and looked dirty.

I like that it's in a convenient area to get to and from Orlando/Tampa Airport, dining and shops. I have been going for quite a few years now to get my medical checks and actually recovered here after surgery and the cleanliness of the rooms has definitely declined. Our room was cleaned once over a 5 day period and this has happened the last 3 times. There is an amazing chef at this location and his cooked breakfast is the best. I was given a cold soup one night and it was removed from my bill and they gave me my grilled cheese sandwich complimentary because of it. My only real issue is the cleanliness of the rooms. Our smelled like urine and I think it was because the a/c was dirty. The cupboard doors were also dirty to the laundry cupboard and there was a yellow stain on the pull out couch. I know that carpet is probably used for sound proofing but I think all rooms could be cleaned a lot better without it. It definitely looks like it's been a while since it's been professionally cleaned.

The front desk woman was absolutely a joy! Very welcoming and professional! The beds were clean. It was in a convenient area but it was really hot in the hallways, our room smelled like mold, there was some hair and toothpaste splatters on the sink and tissue holder. No tissues in box just the one they pull up to make it look fancy. They also started knocking on doors at 9am to clean when we weren’t checked out and checkout isn’t even until noon. There were also some sketch characters camping out in the parking lot where our balcony overlooked.

Upgraded our room to have a balcony, seemed nice. It wasn’t! The room smelled of smoke, the balcony looked out to a parking lot and my reservation for a king bed became 3 doubles. Hotel was sold out so I was stuck!

This hotel charges what a Marriott cost but is like Howard Johnson hotel no upgrades to entertainment like smart tv very small tv. Old and rusty machine. Very old carpet. House keeping doesn’t even come during stay like they should I had to call for service. Check out time they are asking are you leaving early I would not stay here again.

When we checked in we were told we were upgraded, our room had a balcony that over looked a parking lot and smelled like smoke. I reserved a king bed and got 2 doubles and i was told they were sold out so couldn’t change rooms…. So much for the upgrade ☹️

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The toilet didn't fluch too well, had to hold the handle down for a good 30 seconds to flush. Our room was advertised with a mini fridge and microwave, and it didn't have that. There was also supposed to be a continental breakfast and there was not one.

The HVAC system was not operating properly. We were too cold the first night and the system was so noisy we couldn’t hear the TV or talk on the phone. We asked for help and the front desk did not reply or file a work order for more than a hour. The next day, the maintenance crew replaced our unit. We didn’t have time to switch rooms because we had other commitments. We stayed in our room as long as we could then left for other activities we had planned in advance. Also, the room was not lit well, too dark and uncomfortable. The furniture was not at all comfortable, very and uncomfortable. Most of the side chairs, Devan and beds must have been a little too vintage. They were hard and uncomfortable. The artwork was very nice. The rest of the room needed an overhaul. Bathroom was too small. For the money we paid, the hotel was not up to any standard we are accustomed to. Overall, they should keep homeless folks there instead of top dollar customers. However, staff was very nice.

Refused to sell us a drink at 9pm because she was done with her shift, there were 5 other guests waiting patiently and she just left. The front desk clerk ended up coming over and taking care of all of us. The night before check out, manager approved a late check out. My daughter was at a swim meet, we came back to the hotel at 11am and they locked us out of the hotel room. The front desk clerk told us we were checked out. We told her we have a late check out approved by the mgr. She said the room has already been cleaned. Asked her where is all our luggage? She said I don’t know and called hskpg. 25 minutes later the housekeeping supervisor comes to the front desk, speaks no English, disappears again. 15 min later my 15yo daughter goes up to the floor where our room was, our friends were staying next door. Maid walks by and lets my daughter in our room with out asking for ID. To discover NO THE ROOM WAS NEVER CLEANED, and the rest of us still in the lobby waiting now 45min for the front desk clerk and hskpg supervisor to get their stories straight. 1. We didn’t get the late check out as promised. 2. Front desk clerk lied to us about room being cleaned. 3. Housekeeping lets ppl in rooms with out asking for ID &verifying it’s their rm.

When we arrived, the hotel was full and there was no parking available. The sweet young lady at the front desk offered her parking spot to us, as she would be ending her shift shortly. She parked her car next door so we wouldn’t have to worry about being towed. She went above and beyond.

This property is under renovation. In most instances this is a good situation because hotels do need innovation and improvement from time to time. However, in this instance I was not aware that renovations were ongoing. This was mentioned to another guest at check-in. I was in my room around 6:00 the evening I checked in a kept hearing a drill. It would start and stop quickly so I wasn't sure of what I was hearing. I soon realized it was someone working in the room above me. The following morning, around 8:00 the drilling started again only louder. I called the front desk to ask if they could interrupt the drilling for at least an hour or two so I could rest until my morning appointment. I think the person I spoke to was just placating me because the drilling did not stop. When I checked out of the hotel, I suggested they notify guests when construction work would begin and end. I don't get the sense I was taken seriously. I started my day, not well-rested and frazzled.

This is the second time in just a couple months we have stayed at this hotel. The first time we had an issue with the fridge making this god awful high pitch buzzing sound. They were so quick to come and replace the whole mini fridge with another one. Issued solved quickly with no other issues. Super friendly and helpful. This weekend was just a quick stay. No issues, quiet, friendly staff. Everything is clean, room, facility indoor and outdoor. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff enter my room without my permission and stole my belongings. I had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and all. Come to find out the door doesn't shut all the way so one of the housekeeping staff took my belongings. I had to also switch rooms because the air and sliding door didn't work.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Ocala on 200. It was furnished nicely and had the location makes it super easy to get on and off I75. We have stayed here prior and have always been happy with our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean, quiet and comfortable hotel, with nice amenities. All the staff were very friendly, always saw people working, and the area has plenty of restaurants and things to do. There was a restaurant on site, which is very convenient. We didn't eat there but the menu looked good.

I would stay again. The price was right for the room. It was a little musty but the AC worked great. The bar and restaurant we good. I would stay again. I felt safe. The man who checked us in was very nice. I do wish the restaurant had more healthy foods. I was not disappointed. I truly thought the price of the room was very fair.
