This hotel is in need of upgrades big time. The bed and sheets were clean, but there were stains on the wall by where the garbage can would be and in the bathroom. The free breakfast could be improved as well. We paid $300 to stay here because of Illinois State University's late night graduation. That was way over-priced for this hotel.

Our room had a distasteful aroma. The floor was uneven in places and in general disrepair. The facility badly needs a facelift. The only saving grace was the young lady at the front desk. She went the extra mile make you feel welcome.

Nonsmoking room was clearly an old smoking room from the stifling stench that nearly knocked me off my feet when I walked in. There was actually crap on the walls around the toilet. There was mold in the refrigerator. I slept in my clothes and left after one night of a 2 night stay.

Our room was dank, smelled terrible, and the bathroom door didn't work. There was only one working outlet in the room. The TV had static on all 9 channels (whoopee 9 channels). Not sure what decade the hotel pictures were taken but it hasn't been updated in many years. Will never choose this property again. Breakfast was minimal/standard continental food.

The floor slants so steeply it was difficult to walk on! The side table was dirty. The bed sheet, blanket and spread were all folded separately in half so that you cant pull them up to get in. I had to remake the bed to get in! Who doesn’t know how to make s bed?!

The bathroom toilet continued to flush, towels were ripped, there was body wash in the bathroom from a previous guest. The room smelled of mildew and the air looked like it had mold in the vents. There was a door in the room with water damage and over all just felt dirty being in the room

Just felt gross, there were a couple bugs on the toilet, sink and floor. The floor was not clean along with the shower. The curtain was broken which wasn’t ideal either. After assessing the cleanliness of the room I just wasn’t able to get comfortable. Not really much of a problem with the staff breakfast or parking more of the actual room itself.

The only issue was with the TV. Apparently, the TV was not re-programmed after kids used the game system. I was kindly moved to another room across the hall - but I had to repack and move my things. Sound like this is a usual occurrence. You would think it would be part of a check list or something someone would check. After a long day driving, I just wanted to relax and watch a specific football game.

The front desk rep, unprompted by us, told us they would put us close to the front desk, essentially so we could feel more safe. AC unit didn't work. Since they were fully booked, they gave us a box fan at 1 in the morning when we couldn't sleep. Room felt 'grimey'. We are asking for a credit. We could camp with no AC for $30/night. You don't book a room if the AC doesn't work. Guaranteed one or more precious occupants of this room told them it didn't work.

Room was better than I thought it would be. Maybe it was just our room, but our shower was a disaster. It was ice cold unless you had it all the way on the hot side. Even then, it was scorching hot. Other than that. It was a pretty good visit

I travel a lot and the bed were the worst I have ever slept on. They had some plastic or something on them so everytime you moved, they “crinkled”. Also, the entire hotel was out of hot water. Not convienent when we’ve been standing in dirt for hours at a concert

I was supposed to check in Friday, but I was to tired to drive. I called to discuss my options and the man at the front desk was very nice and explained my options. I did arrive early Saturday morning and was kind enough to leave notes in the system so the check in went smoothly. This place is busy, yet quiet and orderly if that makes sense. I like it there! Just a good vibe.

Upon check in there was an elderly man, he messeed up my reservation and charged me 3 times. rooms were filthy with food in the refrigerator and when i told the stff at the front counter she began to yell at me. my daughter heard it all the way down the hall in her room. She said I brought the food there and put it in the fridge myself. lol never ever stay at this place!!!!

When I arrived, I almost didn't recognize the place. The parking lot was smooth and repaved; building painted a nice fresh color. Beautiful face lift it needed. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice! She was simply delightful, which set my visit off to a great start!

When I arrived frustrated and tired from driving. I was greeted by a beautiful, friendly lady. She immediately changed my bad mood to a happy one! She was nice & pleasant! Room was not the cleanest. Walls need to be cleaned. Furniture needs to be pulled out and cleaned behind. Bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was under whelming it consisted of cereal, toast bagels and waffles not really any hot breakfast items or protien options. Staff was friendly. It was a cheap room and served its purpose for the night.

Bring your own pillow, and your own WiFi (as any savvy travelor should). The property is clean and neat, but maintenance is not perfect. We changed rooms after finding a leak in the ceiling of our first room; the second room had a leak around the sink faucets but it was OK for one night. BTW the staff didn't ask, just immediately swapped us into an equivalent room when we informed them of the ceiling leak. The bed was OK, but the pillows were zero out of five. We slept but not as comfortably as we'd have liked. The shower/toilet closet is just that, a closet. The shower is comfortably sized and worked well; but that makes the toilet pretty cramped. Otherwise the furniture and appliances were fine; the refrigerator is bigger than I've seen in a comparably-priced room and worked very well; the freezer compartment actually froze things. The WiFi is unsecured, and my phone was upset that I'd even try to use it; but that's not unusual for public WiFi. Our verdict: this property is OK, but we probably won't stay there again until we've sampled a few of the other hotels in the area.

The room was filthy. There were ants everywhere. Doors were propped open leaving exterior doors unsecured both day and night. Attempts to request a room change were unsuccessful. Will never ever stay at this location again!

We didn’t have a coffee maker or anything. Bathroom was tiny. Breakfast was terrible. Waited 10 minutes at the front desk to check out and still no one came. Hallway was disgusting, bags of garbage up the stairs and it was after 6:00 pm. Definitely do not recommend it to anyone.
