Best Western Delta Inn

Parking was good. We didn’t eat breakfast there.

This is our regular hotel for travel between Little Rock Arkansas and Port Clinton Ohio. Convenient location and good service. We do miss the Happy Hour and snacks when we would check in but they allow our dog to stay with us so we are satisfied.

Parking was easy and secure, and the room was in nice condition and clean.

Bed was oh so comfortable ! We had our dog and the extra cost was very reasonable. $15.00 Breakfast was your normal hot breakfast . The biggest surprise was a happy hour ! Totally unexpected there !

The exercise equipment wasn't working properly and not in good condition.

Room was very nice. Great mattress. Only disappointment was that tha pool was down for renovation

Very nice property. Clean, comfortable, convenient, quiet and pet friendly. Nice happy hour in the lobby weekday evenings. Good hot breakfast with many options including gluten-free. We will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was fine. Our first room smelled so bad we were moved. Smelled moldy. Second smelled better but still not great. Room needs remodeling, old worn furniture. Staff was not friendly. Not a smile from them or a warm greeting. We stay at Best Westerns and usually have good luck. Not with this one. Would not recommend until building is remodeled.

Room had missing paint on walls, black spots in tub and missing grout. Breakfast was not good at all. I was really surprised because I only ever booked things on Hotels.com where the reviews say wonderful. I can’t imagine anyone calling this place. “Wonderful”. I would absolutely not stay at this chain of hotels ever again.

We stay here every year as we snowbird south. I had made my reservation and scheduled our stops when Mother Nature decided to dump the first measurable snowfall of the season in pretty much the whole Midwest. Traveling was expected to be dangerous so we decided to leave a day early and beat the storm. I reserved another night at the Best Western Delta in Effingham (so easy through Hotels.com) and when we checked in, the front desk gal was so pleasant. We asked if we could stay in the same room for both nights, (they were 2 separate reservations) and she did her magic. She even made sure that my rewards were applied to my rewards card. As going anywhere was out of the question, we hunkered down and watched the storm pass. We were so glad to have a safe, comfortable haven in our travels. Check in gal was very pleasant and accommodating. She even delivered extra pillows and a blanket to our room. The room was very clean and comfortable when we arrived. Nice job cleaning crew! The breakfast was way better than some of the other hotel chains we have experienced. The attendant did an excellent job in keeping food available and keeping things clean. Not to mention she had a very nice smile. All in all, I highly recommend the Best Western Delta Inn in Effingham, IL for a clean, pleasant, comfortable stay on your journeys. I felt that it was reasonably priced, and the desk staff was helpful. My room was not as clean as it could have been there was used soap in the shower soap dish, trash beside the vanity stand and pet kibble on the floor.

The building NEEDS maintenance. The toilet ran all night. I complained to the front desk, and no offer to change rooms. The building isn’t old, but has had no updates since built. Carpets were dirty. They had been vacuumed, but grime builds. Either clean or replace them. There were attempts to be a decent place, but lack of real maintenance was evident everywhere.

Everything was fine except there was a smell in our room and many things could use an upgrade. Very old and faded carpet, the tub need caulking, the walls could use a paint job.

Great breakfast. Super comfy beds. Digital thermostats in the rooms. Beds were really high off the ground, not so great for kids and short people.

Room could use some updating. Door to the room didn’t close all the way unless I pushed against it super hard.

Sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the room was small. Good breakfast.

Just okay. The room seemed pretty clean but the carpet was stained and walls missing paint. That’s not really a big deal when you just need a place to lay your head real fast. The room was air conditioned but was really humid and the ac loud. Not my favorite stay at a motel.

This hotel was highly rated which was why we picked it for our stay. The girl at the front desk was welcoming and check in went quickly with no issues. Our room looked clean, although was quite dark and had a stale odor. The bathroom looked clean and up to date, but later on when my husband decided to fill up the spa bathtub that we had booked the room for, he found dirt and bits floating around in the water, hence he decided not to use it. We just used the shower. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was great! The hotel just didn’t wow us. The spa tubs need a good deep clean!!

While there is really nothing outstanding about this property, there's nothing really wrong with it either. It's quiet enough, clean enough, comfortable enough to use as a one-night stopover between Chicago and Nashville. The pillows are half-sized pillows and have foam blocks inside. They were not what we'd use at home and not quite up to what I've experienced at other hotels. But they were ok. The bathroom fixtures are a bit dated.... they've been repainted and touched up several times over the last ...20 years? Nothing was broken or non-functioning. There was no obvious lack of cleanliness ...it's just showing the wear that 20 years of patrons would subject it to. The staff was very nice and courteous and the breakfast smelled great. We didn't get out of our room until just after 10:00 am so we didn't get to try it. (We rarely eat breakfast anyway) Overall, we'd stay here again, but we're also going to check out some of the other hotel properties in the area just to see if any of them are better for less money.

Room/hotel was clean and comfortable. But too close to highway and road noise.

Heard traffic all night long. TV had no sound. The only positive I have is the front desk lady was nice.

The mattress should have been replaced a long time ago. It was hard and had indentations from all the people who went before. The rooms were refurbished, but the tub was rusty and old.

Customer service and cleanliness was great. Taylor at the front desk was an absolute life saver and her customer service skills went above and beyond!! Will definitely be staying here again

Registration agent was slightly rude when I inquired about a crib. She was not friendly nor polite.

Clean, quiet. Desk attendant at check in was on phone for almost 5 mins when attempting to check in. Did not acknowledge my presence until off phone. Not cell phone, was on desk phone, but would have been nice to acknowledge me and apologize and ask to wait.

Had trouble checking in bc the virtual payment didn’t go through from Expedia. It was a huge drag after driving 14 hours. Front desk staff was very helpful though. Eidee made sure to resolve it.

The staff were terrible. At the reception, we didn't get a " hello" even after volunteered one. The first words items by the receptionist who had her mouth full of food was" name?" The gym had terrible equipment, with sticky, dirty buttons on the treadmill. Breakfast was the first I have ever had in a hotel that includes breakfast: no fruit at all, no unflavored oatmeal or any cereal other than kids ones, and no black tea. There was an empty box of black tea bags so I went to the reception asking if they had some and both ladies just repeated: black tea??? No! First time we have been unhappy with this hotel chain

Poor service. When I checked in (upon arrival), the receptionist answered no fewer than four phone calls, leaving me waiting at the counter for over 10 minutes!

Our check in took a quick minute and we were able to get to our room to rest after a long day of travel. The room was very clean along with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was prepped and ready for guests with lots of options. The mango infused vitamin water option along with the juices was a special treat. It was so refreshing and I’ve never seen it before at any other hotels. Will stay here again.

Expedia really let us down but the crew at Best Western were so friendly and helpful, they saved the day for us, they were awesome.

I liked all the dining choices in the area and easy access to the freeway. It was very quiet unlike my other experience at another hotel in the area. My room was very clean and comfy. I would definitely book there again when I travel to Missouri.

Honestly, we were traveling from Kansas to Michigan. We stayed at a casino hotel. You guys put them to shame. Just one night was amazing. Your beds were so much comfortable and slept like a baby. Staff was amazing and breakfast was good. Keep up the good work.

This is the first time in a long time that we stayed at a Best Western. We really enjoyed our visit with you. The room and bathroom were very clean. Everything worked properly. The check in staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was clean and the food was delicious. The assortment of hot and cold items was great. I loved the french toast, it was the first time I had this offering. We will probably stay there again on our way home. Keep up the good work.

The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and the only breakfast serving an Udi’s gluten free muffin compared to the last 50 hotels we’ve stayed at in the last 5 years since going gluten free! Thank you so very much for the unexpected treat!!

We make a trip to and from Lake Erie four times a year and this has been our regular stay at the Best Western. The feature that kept us coming back here was the little happy hour in the evening. This trip we were disappointed to find that they had discontinued it. We will probably look for another place to stop on our trip as a result.
