Luxury Beachfront Condo At Krystal Grand Resort - Newly Remodeled & Newly Furnished

Property was great! Buffet and a la carts door was also great. The only con was the lack of nightlife and trying to find a pool bed at the adult pool was next to impossible, you have to reserve a spot by 6:00am. Otherwise you were at the beach or family pool.

Infinity pool was gorgeous except saving chair situation. Impossible to get chairs unless you were there are 5:00 am. Nothing to do in the evenings after dinner. Entertainment was early and focused on the kids. Music in lobby or sky bar in evenings would have been nice and shows at 9:00 for adults after dinner

One of the restaurants was closed during our visits and the others rotated days off. Buffet theme changed somewhat daily but good staples remained most days. Foods were labeled with potential allergy information, but Vegetarian dishes were not. We never went hungry or had any complaints about food quality over the week. Pools were clean and large, one adults only. Loungers were reserved by people putting they're belongings on them so need to be early to find a spot. Pools side bars and restaurants were well equipt and busy. Beach was clean with loungers, about a 30min walk to the next town. Rooms were clean but overall a little touch-up and maintainance required throughout the hotel. We had a swim-out suite and many tiles were missing, plaster and paint looking tired and chipped in areas. There were cleaners in the pools most days though. My only real complaint was that our room was very noisy. We could here everything that happened in the cafe next door, and during the night -presumably the cleaning crew - would drag heavy furniture across the floors waking us up daily. I would return again. Staff were friendly, food was great and the location was perfect

Great pool. Staff was great. Not enough chairs and tables in lobby and common areas for casual gathering for games etc. Food was good. Restaurant reservstion system poor app didnt work properly. Beach very dirty. Garbage. Not cleaned and maintained properly cigarette butts all through sand. Need proper siting chairs for beach

A nice resort. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Pools close really early at like 8 pm. There is an adult 'pool'on the rooftop that was more like a wading pool and it was pretty dirty. Once one bae to hang out at in the lobby. Not a lot to do or places to hangout after dinner.

Property looks worn down. Pool tiles missing. Areas around pool get super slippery. Very very very limited umbrellas around pool and at the beach. Food is average at best. Reservations for restaurants are impossible to get and even if restaurant is empty they will not sit you or help you with a reservation. Ice cream machine only comes on for 1hour and they will cut you off when it is empty. Will not stay here again.

This was our first time staying at the Krystal. We are seniors. We usually stay at a 5 star resort and decided to try a different place this year. We knew this was a resort that served families and we had to adjust our expectations. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and gracious. We were impressed with how tasty the food was at the buffet. However, they seemed to run out of food often. The adult pool was nice, but it was kind of a long, treacherous walk to get there. The facility seemed older than it actually was and needed many repairs...the tile floor was chipped and broken in many areas. The tables in the buffet were wobbly and often had no settings in place, and were dirty. They didn't seem to have enough staff available to keep up with the number of people cycling through. We realized that the buffet was a place to eat and not dine. (We were accustomed to tablecloths being used, along with cloth napkins for at least the evening meal.) Our room had a great view of the ocean and overlooked the family pools. Each night, there was an entertainment stage set up in the courtyard right below our room. We were on the 6th floor and the music was loud. Our experience was not that favorable and we probably won't return.

The pool & restaurant staff were amazing. The food was great. The issue we had was not being able to get a chair by the adult pool ( or on the beachfront) . We were told no reservations for the lounge chairs. The pool concierges were great and found us chairs for 2 days and we found chairs for 3 days. So for 14 days we could only get chairs for 5 of those days. We paid a great dollar for two weeks and expected better treatment. If you say no lounge chair reservations, it should be enforced with a system in place to watch over this situation. It would alleviate a lot of the frustration.

You couldn't get a seat because hotel allowed people to put hats, books and towels to save seating when most of the time they weren't there till late afternoon. We went down at 7A.M. and almost every chair was taken. Need rules.

The property was beautiful and the staff was helpful and courteous. There was only one concern. It was the flooring around the pool areas that when wet was very slippery.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Krystal. Here’s the good-overall property was maintained beautifully and the adult pool and washroom facilities were maintained perfectly. I loved the activities and the staff were amazing. The bars were stocked with a good assortment of drinks and alcohol and the bartenders were always friendly and accommodating. Here’s the “opportunities”-our room was very run down and needed a refresh and the housecleaning staff did the bare minimum to keep our room clean. Overall the food was just okay. We couldn’t get any reservations in the restaurants other than the Mexican cafe and we had to eat at 10:00. The buffet was hit and miss. Some days it was really good and some days it wasn’t. That being said I could always find something to eat. Overall I felt that there were too many people in the resort as at one point we had to wait a 1/2 hour to get a table(especially in the morning). Overall 4/5 stars. Thank you to all of the staff who made our stay very memorable.

This was the DIRTIEST place I’ve ever stayed. It was incredibly overcrowded. The open buffet was old, disgusting and had flies everywhere. There was trash all over the resort. The room looked like it wasn’t even cleaned. There were hairballs and dirt inside the bed. The staff opened our door while we were changing (they didn’t knock either) and said “oh wanted to make sure you were in here” then walked away.

The place was insanely busy and dirty. Not a relaxing stay. Loud music constantly, dirty used plates and cups all over the resort. The food was subpar and the restaurants were worse than the buffet.

Krystal Grand was very clean with workers always working to maintain cleanliness. So friendly and helpful even with language difference. It can get very loud with activities and music. The food was adequate but not exceptional. Most appreciated was the workers and hospitality! Pools were great, both family pool and adult pool with ocean views! The beach was safe and accessible! Highly recommend for an all inclusive resort!

First room they put us in was a view of an alley and the next resort's a/c system. Room was VERY moldy smelling. Smell was awful.Ground floor, small window with no screen. Smallest bathroom you ever saw. Told us it was "resort view". It was worse than a Motel 6. Totally unusable. The next day they moved us into a new room no smell. Normal size room. Very satisfied with that one. .

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit worried about my stay. However, I can say I was very pleased. The staff were friendly, the grounds were clean. The rooms were attended to daily and restocked. There was not a large selection of places to eat, but you were not going hungry. People will always find a reason to write a negative review. Would there be more selection at a Riu?? Of course, but it is high we quality food? No. Of your expecting 5 star food all inclusives may not be your thing. What we saved staying here made it possible to do and see more than we ever have. Thank you for a great time. If we make it back to puerto vallarta we would stay again

Very very dirty. There was mold in the room even in the chairs!!!! Good service.

This property wasn’t what we excepted. Our stay was no were as great as the pictures. The room we arrived to was dirty. The mini fridge had finger prints everywhere and there was dust/ trash on the floor. The first night our bathroom sink clogged up. We stayed up until 1AM for the maintenance man to tell us we had to change rooms because they were unable to unclog it. The room stunk like swear all night. The next morning we packed to switch rooms only to be told that they did not have any rooms available for us until 4PM. The service at PB was horrible. We were asked to either go back into that room or stay in the hospitality room. We had to leave all our luggage in a locker room until we were given a room after 4PM. The food was not as great as picture either. The buffet fruit had mold in it and most of the food was either gone or tasted bad. The snacks stands were probably the most we ate as food was always great. At the end we ended up upgrading to a room on the bottom floor with the pool, the service was much better and cleaning ladies were very attentive.

Buyer beware! Outdated property! AC didn’t work on many occasions & was never fixed ! I called front desk 3 times & still never got ac fixed !! Food was bland .Dont expect AC in any of the restaurants either, or cold salads . Bell bar & restaurant staff were excellent . Very misleading pictures . Will never stay here again. Not one to leave bad reviews but don’t want anyone to be misled like I was by all the 10 star ratings . It’s always best to stick with Marriott Hyatt & Hilton brands as those properties usually come through . Pool was very warm & gross .

Our family loved the beach access and the pool was amazing. All of the staff was very friendly and our family room was huge. My only complaint was that the food was only mediocre. It wasn't bad but it was great either. We dined at the buffet and the restaurants. Overall, we had great experience at the Krystal grand Nuevo Vallarta.

This was a nice property. The staff was helpful and food/drink was available most of the time. I would stay again. The downside was the pools grout had black spots and seemed like they could be cleaner. Also, the shower in our room didn’t get very warm. However, our overall stay was good and being out first time in Mexico, we had a great vacation!

Staff was amazing! Very friendly always saying hi or good morning every time we saw them. The room was very clean. If I can mention two things that would make our next trip better is the beds are a little to hard for my liking and the room had a little bit smell of mold

Amazing view and location however wedding venue is directly below you and they are very very loud and after 4 weddings in a row, it becomes near unbearable.

Food options were limited but to be expected at an all inclusive. Beds were pretty comfortable and air conditioning is your best friend. Internet was very spotty and connection was not great. Transport was good we paid for a round trip service would highly recommend when coming to and from the airport. Overall was pretty good.

We enjoyed our stay at Krystal Grand, it met all of our needs perfectly. Being upgraded at arrival was a very pleasant surprise.

Our room was a little run down but the worst thing was the beds and pillows. We he food at the buffet was really really good. Got to eat at all the restaurants with with a little help from the altitude club for booking. Beach was incredible. Now seaweed like there is in Cancun. Could walk down in either direction. Pool was nice. It’s too bad the second pool is adult only. I feel like adults who cannot be around kids should go to an adult only resort. Coffee shop had long lines and the ice cream machine was only on from 2-3 each day.

Top notch service from beginning to end. Upgraded room and treated like Royalty. Our considered Josephine went out of her way to make us feel special. The trip wouldn't have been the same without her!

Amazing stay! The staff were wonderful. Special shout out to Arturo, Alejandro at the pool bar for making the trip extra special and making us feel like home. The buffet options were great, always hot and fresh. The food at Ayami were the highlight of our trip by far. Everything exceeded the other dishes as they came out. The housekeeping staff were also very efficient and came around twice offering to restock the mini fridge and provide fresh clean towels. We will be back.

Wi-Fi never worked. Our door card didn’t work the first 2 days which was such an inconvenience because we were in the 8th floor so we had to keep going downstairs. The QR code wasn’t working and when it did work it was impossible to make a reservation at the restaurants. The tour desk personnel-Patricia lied to my husband about getting a tour for a cheaper price if he signed up for a conference. The conference was a TIME SHARE conference. Not once did she mention TIME SHARE when she offered the tour. Me and her basically went back and forth about it for a while she told me we were obligated to go. When we showed up I told the other Time Share representative that Patricia obligated us to attend it at that point she told me we were free to go. Another thing that was bothersome was that the phone in our room was not working. We tried on & off for an hour to get room service and the phone sounded disconnected. Finally, if you want to get a good spot by the pool you have to go downstairs and put an item on the chair by 7 AM or else you won’t have a chair to sit on. I was extremely disappointed on this property and management.

Common areas of the property were well taken care of and impeccable. We upgraded to the Altitude package, and this allowed us a junior suite on the top floors with amazing views, and access to the Altitude suite,. Here we had access to coffee, tea, snacks, and alcohol at our pleasure. Excellent service from Yannecy in the Altitude suite. She booked us our a la carte reservations. Only downsides to the resort were the rooms needing updates, and the a la carte restaurants being hard to book, even with the Altitude package. The buffet had great food and good variety. Staff were extremely polite and welcoming. This resort seems to be very popular with fellow Canadians , as we found the majority of guests coming form Canada.

The moment tee checked in we were harasses to go on a timeshare presentation. When we got to the room it was very average nothing really nice like a motel 8. The food was poor quality they only had 2 restaurants and it was difficult to get a reservation even though they had plenty of seats open. The restaurant has no air conditioning or it did not work. Rhe second restaurant we could not get a reservation for any of the 4 nights we stayed at the property. The pool were over crowded loud and trash everywhere. When you went to the beach you were harassed by vendors every 2 minutes. They had very few waiters for drinks. Most of the alcohol drinks were not. Very good. I would never recommend this hotel or come back no matter how cheap it is you will be disappointed. We travel a lot I would not give this property a 1 star review.

We just got back from our family vacation. We stayed at the Krystal Grand and our experience was just horrible! The waiters were very nice as well as the activity personnel, but customer service was horrible. The sinks were flooded and no one came to help until like 2 hrs. We got locked out of our room and let the front desk know and no one came to help until we became upset. They moved us to a different room that was not pleasant at all! Very bad experience! I do not recommend

We liked Josefina from concierge. Her professional service was beyond our expectations. Josefina was attentive with our needs. We are thankful to Josefina for the awesome spring break we had at Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta.

There I no place to site see are if the area. You got to take a bus to go to the malecón. And to see the colonial town. Other than that. Place is great.

This resort was beautiful with a large family pool, an adult only infinity pool with swim up bar and many umbrellas and loungers at the beachfront. The food in the buffet had lots of choices and was very good. We also enjoyed The Grill restaurant on two nights- one was Italian and the other was featuring steak kabobs. The grounds have lots of beautiful vegetation and there are lots of palm trees around the adult pool. Our room had a king bed with a large balcony that looked at the family pool and out towards the palms at the other pool. Some maintenance is needed on the room as towel bars, sink faucet and shower door all needed repair in the bathroom.

Pretty much everything is on site, don't have to leave, but plenty of fun things to do in PV. No nearby shops or restaurants. People that work there are wonderfully pleasant and helpful. Long open beach to walk along.

Not much vegiterian option. Not so great beach for small kids.

Updated location. Great place. Near the exit to the supermarkets in bucerias. The place itself is so relaxing. There were families, but they were great about having the families in their designated pool. The views were amazing and the service great. Quick check in and the room was wow. The view from the room, you could see the whole building plus the ocean. Only stayed here for one night. The grill restaurant staff was amazing, they accommodated us and the food there was exceptional. The buffet food was ok, lots of options for everyone so that’s a plus. They always had lots of veggies and fruit out to suit everyone’s needs.

Excellent! The only thing is that you need to take a uber/taxi to go to downtown and there are working on the bridge to go to the other side of the city (malecon) so is like a 25 minutes drive I had reservations for different activities in the city, so I had to pay for 2 rides per day. I took the bus once and it had AC so it was nice.

great condo right on the beach. location is good if you just want to hang out and relax. the place was clean and the description is spot on.

The beach is awesome, you can walk for miles. It is a quick walk to get to the town of Bucerias for shopping or dining.

Enjoyed a great 5-night stay an Krystal Grand in Nuevo Vallarta. Our ocean-front room had a great view, clean, and provided plenty of room. The buffet restaurant was always excellent with good variety. We also ate at two of the specialty restaurants (reservations required), and enjoyed them. The pools were clean, and not overly crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The food was fantastic. Disappointed that they only had one restaurant open all week until our last day! Need upgraded lounge chairs for the adult only pool very weathered. Housekeeping staff amazing, very clean. Little to no entertainment which was disappointing, what they had was geared more towards children.

Not a worthwhile stay. Property constantly ran out of items. Customer service was terrible and inconsistent. Son got food poisening on last day. Towels were so run down pool and bathrooms. Never was given enough towels by hotel room service staff. No hot water for first 3 days. Shower unit wouldnt stay on wall. Water leaked under shower door. Limited room amenities. No mirror in bedroom. Tiny closet. Limited food choices. Flys and wasps everywhere. Cafe alway ran out of items.

I stayed 7 nights,The food in a la carte was always very good, we couldn't try the mexican restaurant because they closed it for the last 4 nights that we stayed there. Buffet was also good, they rotate menus and the quesadillas at breskast time are something you MUST try!! Drinks were good too and they were always willing to prepare upon request even if they didnt know how to prepare it... my dad would get a spresso from.the cafeteria and had the bartender prepare him a carajillo drink, for example. Staff were friendly and housekeeper was very nice too! Expedia advertises the hotel has yoga but I was told there were not doing yoga due to lack of people wanting to do it but if I wanted to do yoga they could have a class for me, and so they did!! My 8 yrs old son loved the kids club and the stuff was very caring! Overall was a good experience,. I do have some observations. There are no water sports like kayaking, paddle boarding or body surfing and that's something people going to the beach may be looking for. There are SMOKING AREAS but one of them is just right NEXT to the KID'S CLUB!! for kids health it should be moved, maybe by the beach/adults pool area would be a good locating. Rooms need to be updated and would be nice if there was a microwave in the room since either you have dinner early in order to be able to see the show or after the show. In our case we had to make reservations at 6:30 and by 11 that the buffet was closed my husband and my kids were hungry

We were excited to stay here, but we were soon disappointed. The hotel states that they have 4 restaurants, but only the buffet is the one constant open. The other restaurants are not available on a daily. Maybe only one per night. You cannot make reservations in advance only the morning of. The pool’s tiles are coming apart (my baby cut her foot in it). The beds are hard and the hotel looks like it needs renovation (only some areas have gotten a little lift. One thing that we found a little strange was that the VIP check in area is in the basement. It’s at an inconvenient location to go access the premium drinks. I would say that I will not return to this place.

Poco personal, bebidas de baja calidad tanto mixologia como cerveza y café. La TV no funcionó, el wifi fue malo, La comida del buffet fue buena pero de los 3 restaurantes adicionales, solo abría uno, la espera era larga para ser atendido y la comida era la misma del buffet. Las actividades que ofrecen por la noche son de bajísimo nivel, poco interesantes y menos memorables. Esta es mi experiencia basada en mis gustos, recomiendo conocerlo pero no ir con demasiadas expectativas.

First, the good! The property is beautiful, the pools are lovely, it’s a great location on the beach in Nueva Nyarta, and the room was large, spacious and clean. But there were concerns that outweighed these features. The most important was concern for safety procedures regarding food handling. This was my fourth all-inclusive in Mexico, and by far the worst for food handling in terms of quality and safety. All four resorts were similarly rated by tour companies, so I was confident in booking this resort that I was getting a similar experience. My sister got Montezuma’s Revenge from the food and was sick for three days. We had not left the hotel in 36 hours so could not blame it on another location. We had stayed at another nearby all-inclusive two months previously, where food handling procedures were vastly different. In the previous hotel, staff checked the temperature of buffet foods regularly to ensure they had not spent too long sitting out in the warm weather. The restaurant food was much better than the buffet, although we had been given incorrect information on our check-in at the Altitude Club about the date and time to make dinner reservations. As a result we did not always get the reservations we had hoped for. I had asked for a call from the Altitude Club manager regarding this, but did not receive a call-back. Internet connection was another concern. The internet was often inaccessible or kept crashing. I would not return to any Krystal Resort.

The only thing I did not like it was the poor service at the bars. Low quality licorice and beer. Not enough personnel for the amount of visitors.

Buffet was very bad, the first few days they had the Buffet in a banquet hall in which you had to be seated with other families, also it seemed like they were understaffed. In one occasion we had to ask to have a table cleaned so we could sit down for breakfast and the waitress gave us a attitude. Also we paid for the upgraded room with bracelet and the area which was reserved for us by the pool was always occupied by other families without the upgraded brackets.
