Villa Del Palmar Flamingos Beach Resort & Spa

This was a beautiful, quiet resort with amazing food options and nice, but low-key, entertainment. The all-inclusive had buffet for breakfast, but the rest were high quality a la carte. The staff were friendly, the ocean fun to swim in, beautiful beach, and very clean & comfortable rooms. There were always chairs available on the beach and around the pool. The cleanest resort we've stayed at in Mexico. They do ask you to join them for their Time Share Presentation, but are ok if you say no. We went with our 3 teenagers and went on a snorkeling & ziplining tour - planned through the resort when we got there - and had a great time. The staff are very helpful & professional. They help you organize transportation and activities. It is not a busy, party resort. It was very relaxing!

The pool was unsafe to swim and from what we are hearing this has been an on going problem . The water was green due to Algae as the pumps were not working and it’s been like that for a few months now. There is absolutely no entertainment and the hotel pretty well is a ghost town at 8:30 at night. You would think Expedia would stop sending people to a resort like this due to water problems. We were at this resort for 10 days and not once were we in the pool . People were finding themselves with flu like symptoms because of the water conditions that they decided to swim in .

Property had elevator outages and construction going on. Would like to have known that upfront

Well property was being worked on quite a bit around the lobby, around the restaurants, and quite a few places other than that all was good. Just super loud. We also where sappose to get a gift from expedia but dodnt receive anything. This is 2nd location that jas happened to us at. Food was great and so was room service

Villa Del Palmar has been a favorite destination of ours for 20 years. The staff are the best!! Always quick to help and with a friendly smile. Many of them are like close friends. We look forward to seeing Agustine at the pool, Antonio and Louis always make us feel at home when they greet us at the front. Our only complaint was the condition of the resort was not as clean as years past. The pool was so cloudy, I would not put my head under water it was bad! I informed them several times. It was not fixed the whole 8 days we were there. The sidewalks around the pool did not look like they were being washed regularly. Having said that, we are planning on returning in the spring. Hopefully these were just temporary issues.

Muy bonito hotel, con una alberca suficientemente grande y con temperatura perfecta. La comida muy buena, y el personal muy atento. Volvería a regresar.

Property was excellent. Loungers around the pool were a challenge with lots reserved but not being used. We had a $350 room credit and we were not told it could not be used for tips. Overall excellent property though

Had a great time over Christmas with family. Octavio seemed to be our Hombre daily and kept the drinks and AguaChile flowing. The AM dance of pioneering for beach/pool chairs gets a bit crazy especially since folks will take advantage with multiple seats at 8am and show up around noon. Saw a couple screaming matches. Walked to close by Bucerías and stumbled home during sunset. It was like a dream. Mucho Gracias

We had an excellent stay at Villa Del Palmar Flamingos. There is only one pool but it is very big and the temperature control is great, making for a calm and relaxing swim at any time of the day and evening. The property is fairly small, you can walk around the entire area in 10 minutes or less. The beach is nice and breezy, with lots of loungers available. The restaurants were the highlight of our trip. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh and properly seasoned. Even though there weren't many restaurants, each had a decently sized menu with lots of variety so we did not repeat any meals in our 6-night stay. The staff service was a hit-and-miss. At some restaurants like the Sushi bar, we received excellent service. At others, the service was just so-so. The only somewhat unnerving experience was having to wait and sign the bill receipt at the end of each meal, despite opting for the all-inclusive option. It felt like they were tracking all of the food and beverages we consumed and were going to hand us a big bill at the end but this was not the case. The check-out was straightforward and there was no outstanding balance. The rooms are clean and spacious, but the TV tech is very outdated with no access to streaming services like Netflix. The AC was super COLD and worked flawlessly 24/7. Overall, this resort was greater value for the money and we had a great time.

Had a great time with the family, the place we had was spacious and had many amenities. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact the elevator during the time we stayed.

Sin agua fria en regaderas y lavamanos, se reporto tres veces, sin respuesta El piso de la habitacion sin limpiar, todo el polvo se queda en la planta de los pies. Sin amenidades, unicamente en alberca por un par de horas. Sin musica por lo menos ambiental Horarios de cierre de los restaurantes como si fueran oficinas de Gobierno, los empleados estaban mas preocupados de ya no atenderte desde 15 minutos antes del horario

We absolutely love staying at Villa del Palmar! The resort's location right on the ocean is unbeatable, and most of the rooms offer stunning ocean views. We had an amazing balcony with comfortable outdoor seating, perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The rooms are spacious with cozy beds, and the pool area is both beautiful and expansive, featuring plenty of comfortable lounge chairs. One of our favorite things is enjoying the ocean view while swimming in the pool. The pool staff is especially friendly and attentive—there’s always someone nearby to take your drink order. This was our second stay at Villa del Palmar, and we definitely plan to return. However, we did experience a few issues during this visit. Our room wasn’t as clean as expected upon arrival; we found some leftover food and debris on the floor, and the balcony furniture, bedside table, and desk were quite dusty. I ended up cleaning and sanitizing the space before we unpacked. Additionally, one of the recessed lights in our room was flickering. We reported it to the front desk the next morning, but unfortunately, it wasn’t addressed during our stay. On our last full day, we also didn’t receive fresh towels and had to track down a housekeeper, who was not very friendly. Despite these inconveniences, the beauty of the resort and the overall experience still made our stay enjoyable. We’re hopeful that these were isolated issues, and we’re looking forward to coming back again soon!

They do an amazing job of looking after the property. Very clean and well kept. The staff are awesome with friendly and prompt service. They go above and beyond in so many ways. Food was excellent with a nice variety for a smaller resort.

Service was not as fabulous as it has been in the past. Computer system was not working. Love the wrist band door keys but not how they hang down where they’re tightened (ended up in food several times). Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Dirty floors. Patio door didn’t lock. Food was okay. Theme nights were very loud from in the room with closed doors.

The property’s great. The staff were very attentive. We loved it. The only thing that was unpleasant was the drawers below the tv in our room. They smelled like rotten fish. We couldn’t use them. We informed housekeeping but it wasn’t anything they could fix. Needless to say, we kept it firmly shut during our stay. During the first day, we had to ask housekeeping to re-mop the floors. They were dirty. We also didn’t have conditioner in the dispenser. They did eventually handle those two issues. It was a pleasant experience.

Liked the view of the pools and resort. Very friendly staff. Clean and quiet.

This is a great family friendly resort. We had a nice family vacation. The rooms are clean, comfy beds and have a great balcony with an ocean view. Great servers, right on the beach! The Italian restaurant was our favorite! Cons… broken elevator made it challenging to get to our rooms. Not enough restaurants for the people. The Japanese restaurant was terrible!! Avoid it! Only one option for breakfast which is a Buffett. The tour guides are actually sales reps for tone shares! It’s more of a 3.5 start location

El hotel muy bien el cuarto no es viejo ni nada así. Todo bien. Me gusto que a diferencia de muchos hoteles Aqui sirven el desayuno de 7am-12pm, y aunque sea tarde, 12pm por ejemplo siempre encontré camastros libres y con sombrillas, porque hay muchas siempre alrededor de la alberca. Las sombrillas se mueven fácil con rueditas atras y adelante es lo único que requería hacer y siempre tuve camastro en sombra. Otra cosa que me gusto que no tienes que dar número y luego entregar con número las toallas, te la prestan en el toallero de la alberca y al final las pones en los cestos y listo. Sin complicaciones. El mar cerquita no tiene que caminar más que 1.5 min de la alberca a la playa. Y muy bonita la playa. De todo el hotel una regadera para quitar l arena era todo lo que no funcionó. Compre solo desayunos incluidos con Expedia y valió la pena. También me dieron mi botella de bienvenida y te dejaban tus chocolates a la hora de abrir camas para la noche. La habitación tenía cocineta, trastes para 4 personas, Micro, frigobqr, fregadero, cafetera, tostador, todo por si quieren hacer algo. Te regalan kit con tes, café y eso. Todo me gusto. Lo único que vi es que para quien tenga TI, considero poco variados los menús, las cartas no tenían mucha variedad y si es caro, alrededor de 300 pesos por opción, más bebidas de unos 100 pesos. Éramos 2 adultos y un niño, y a mi en lo personal Todos me trataron muy amables, desde la recepción , los meseros, por teléfono, mi salida y cuenta OK

Hotel is in excellent condition and the beach is amazing. Food and food and beverage service is great. The only 2 things is that air conditionate on room made too much noise, and they charge a 15% tip plus 16% tax on every bill (in Mexico service is charged separetely) so beware on double tipping when paying the bill.

It is a great option for a family plan, it's comfortable, has a great view and amenities. We had a great time!!!

Their wifi does not work. Little entertainment, no music playing or very low by pool area. Food was good but no buffet except breakfast. No reservations needed you have to wait if they are full.

For our first time at a resort I loved it! The staff was friendly and it was very clean. The ocean view was beautiful over the hot tub!

The property is beautiful and big, but also not so big that you don't feel comfortable letting the kids go down to the pool. My 10 yr olds met us at breakfast and by the pool and it felt very safe. The cleaning staff was very efficient. Everyday they cleaned and had a "night service" in case the room needs more towels or a "refresher" The all inclusive food is just that, all inclusive. There are a couple of items on a couple of the restaurant menus that are "premium" and aren't included. There is a timing issue, but if you plan accordingly you should be fine. Everyday for about an hr all the restaurants close to "switch over" from pool service to dining service. The day we arrived the kids had just gotten into the pool but they were so hungry from traveling all day, we tried to get them something to eat but everything was closed and they won't seat you in a bathing suit. So it was really hard and inconvenient. But we planned accordingly for the rest of our stay. The food is good. Some items are better than others but still very good. And there's variety. Not going to lie, the facility is a little outdated. Slow elevators, water running out after 2 ppl shower, no netflix on the tvs. But it's not a deal breaker. We'd definitely come back. The kids club is for 4 yrs and older, but they won't let parents stay and play with the kids. I didn’t want to leave my kids, but besides the pool there's nothing else for them to do. I wish i could've used the play area.

Front desk service is terrible. Extremely slow

The service was amazing from the moment we walked through the doors to the day that we left everyone that worked there was so helpful and friendly 10 out of 10 would recommend and go back.

Las instalación del lugar son muy buenas, salvo que las personas que atienden en recepción son pésimas, no entienden las solicitudes y parece que les estás haciendo un favor. Incluso el restaurante el patrón tienen actitudes muy déspotas, nada comparado con los que trabajan en el restaurante Japonés. Definitivamente nunca volvería a regresar

Nice building and room The staff were great with the exception of the check in. It took 1 hour & 45 minutes to move four spots forward to make it to the check in desk. Then we were assigned a room already given to someone else. So we took a room for one night and changed to what was acceptable for a room for 13 nites the next day. Not enough staff ever at the front desk - should be prepared to staff up!

Pool was nice and clean! The welcoming staff was not welcoming, it’s presented as an all-inclusive but we had to give them our room numbers every time we asked for a drink or food items. For example, every time we were done at the pool, they would make us wait. Give us a bill that we have to sign, even though it’s inclusive resort. I understand that the whole resort is not all inclusive, but we had the wristbands that said it was we shouldn’t have to sign a bill every single time.

Great hotel, however check-in was absolutely horrible! Waited over an hour standing in the lobby to even get to the check-in desk. There was only a couple parties in front of us, but staff was extremely slow!!! Slowest check in that I’ve ever had!!!

If you are looking for good all-inclusive property then this is NOT good resort for you. The size of restaurants and server ability to serve you is a joke. They only serve to their members and treat you bad if you are not member. Stay away from this not so inclusive resort!

Front desk staff are very slow….. Building #2 had no elevator at all and they’ve gave my mom a room at 6th floor (she is 86 years old) !!! Have to talked to the manager and got her a room on the first floor after an hour :-((

Going to Villa Del Palmar Flamingos feels like going "home" and seeing all of your favorite people. Every employee from bellstand and front desk to housekeeping and wait staff are exemplary. My personal favorite is Augustin. He works the beach area and does everything to make beach days the best days. He even remembered me and my husband's names from our trip there last Christmas. In addition to the people, the property is perfect. It is immaculately landscaped, clean, calm, and has everything I needed for a perfect week. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I can't wait to go back myself!

Villas del Palmar is a lovely hotel. Nice pools, staff are wonderful, service is very very good from all staff. You can walk the beach. You can walk to Bucerias easily or take a cab. We would stay here again.

Villa del Palmar Flamingos is a beautiful resort! The staff is amazing, the restaurants in the property are very delicious, and it is a quiet area. Me & my family are beyond satisfied with our experience during this trip. Highly recommend this property as your next vacation option.

The resort is nice with an enormous pool and all ocean view rooms. Beach is nice. Location is far away from any activities outside the resort. So plan on a lot of taxi time if you are adventurous. I should have researched that better before booking. Service was good, but not quite excellent.

The hotel was clean, very safe, kids club was A . There was activity every day all day for the whole family. Food was excellent with multi option to choose from. Room was cleaned daily. Would definitely go back.

Superb food options & exceptional quality. Rooms could not be better equipped, perfect location for young families like us but perhaps a little too quiet for the twenty somethings.

The views are amazing. Beach is spectacular.

Habitaciones limpias y cómodas, piscina amplia, la comida y cena son a la carta y el servicio de meseros es lento y en el desayuno buffet hay poca variedad. Se averió el elevador al segundo día que llegué y no lo habilitaron de nuevo en toda mi estadía. Algunos bartender atienden de mala gana

It is a decent resort. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool area was well maintained and loungers were cleaned daily. The biggest issue we had with limited food options and same menu for vegetarians. We went to the same Italian restaurant for dinner which got boring. The food service was super slow. It also took a long 1-1.5 hrs to get food at Taco bar and El Patron. It was always an hour wait to get seated at the Italian restaurant. The staff seemed overworked and a bit rude at times.

Overall the property was amazing. Excellent food and drinks. Only problem was lunch was not included in all inclusive on last day.

There seems to be a shortage of staff around the hotel at times. From a simple check in taking around 20 mins to room service taking about an hour for a simple coffee and cake. Also, there was an illness outbreak when we were there. My family along with other guests had what seemed to be food poisoning. There isn't a lot to do in terms of activities and they don't pllay any music except from 1-3pm by the pool. Food options could be better as well. Lunch time at El Patron restaurant will take about 30 mins from the time you order to the time you get your food. Lastly, I was very upset to know that the staff doesn’t stock up your fridge with beverages the same day you arrive. The receptionist mentioned that it happens the next day once their beverage runners return in the morning. Unbelievable that they would say this seeing how expensive this hotel stay was.

Food here is top notch! Never had better food at an all inclusive. Love the layout of resort-so easy to get around. Beach is lovely. Staff/service unbeatable. Highly recommend!

I like the hotel and customer service but the problem was the restaurant. They don’t have buffet for lunch or dinner so there was always a line to get a table. They only have buffet for breakfast but still have to wait for a table because the location was not big enough.
