Fairfield Inn & Suites Joliet North/Plainfield

I have never seen such flimsy toilet paper. Where do they get these? There was hardly any toiletries in the bathrooms.

Solo female traveler. Front lot very well lit. Had to park in back. It was pretty much pitch dark black. Only.one lighting pole,at edge of lot worked . Very unsafe.

Beds were very uncomfortable. Mattress needs to be replaced. Very soft.

Great hotel. Just for breakfast, food is not enough. The chairs need to buy new ones.

Would NEVER stay at this hotel again. Checked in and began unloading our luggage only to find that the door could not be locked upon exiting. Called the front desk to inform them, they asked for the Room number and when told responded "Oh, THAT room. You just have to pull on the door hard." indicating that they knew there was a problem before our arrival. We tried it again, with the same result and the front desk clerk came up and tried it, but it still couldn't be locked. They sent Maintenance up who were unable to fix it and said they would have to come back the next day. The Front Desk Clerk informed us that they did not have any other rooms for us to move to (even though we were there 15 minutes after check-in) and would not be able to reduce our rate despite not being able to lock the door! She told us that the Manager had authorized us to get 10,000 Reward Points instead, but this has not happened almost a month after our stay. While we were OK to stay there when we could lock the door from inside, we could not go out to dinner nor could we both load / unload our car together. The combination of a Hotel Room that could not be locked, them knowing it in advance and doing nothing, and their unwillingness to do anything to make up for the inconvenience made this a TERRIBLE Hotel Stay. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
