Elevator broken and had to use the stairs, staying on the 4th floor. Fridge broken in room. Room not as clean as it should have been. People yelling and running in the halls. Breakfast was not a good variety as other hotels in Wichita. Furniture outdated. Hot tub full of dirt and cement pieces. Pool appears hasn’t been opened in years. Front desk rude.

This property is in shambles. The room was clean enough, but the hallways, common areas, and exterior were ROUGH. Common area bathrooms were something out of a nightmare. Main elevators were out of order, so we were forced to use service elevator, which looked like something out of a horror movie. Everything on this property looks as though it was broken and attempted to be repaired, or is actively broken. The staff was friendly enough, breakfast was included and edible, nothing special. The area surrounding the hotel is absolutely overrun with unhoused people. We stayed one night and just within the few times we were in the parking lot unloading and loading our vehicle we were approached three times by panhandlers. Super cheap, but beware, you get what you pay for (barely)

The shampoo and conditioner are in rigid little bottles that are impossible to squeeze out the contents . There was no airport shuttle as stated on web page but they did accommodate me after I insisted

Very poor condition for a hotel under the Wyndham name. I’d expect this from a highway motel for half the price. Breakfast was cereal, breads and some hot items made in bulk. Not necessarily fresh same day. Pool but no hot tub. No towels at the pool. In room towels had holes and a washcloth that had a grey color to it. No fan in the bathroom. No cleaning service even if you stay several days. No trash emptied etc even with no do not disturb signs up. Office seat in the room was cracked and peeling. If you haven’t slept on a lumpy bed, stop here-the ones in room 434 are perfectly lumpy. Oh and the door only closes if you pull it closed hard. Bathroom had rusted vents with water pooling under the paint on the walls.

We were on the 5th floor. When we got there 1 elevator was already out of service and the other was out by the end of the first day. The Ice machine was broken on the 6th and 5th floors. The Hot tub was mostly drained with some nasty water left in the bottom. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were mostly clean, NO BUGS! Felt really out of date. The room we booked showed a dinning table and the room we got did not have one. Parking lot has lots of homeless walking though. Got asked for money everytime we went to the car.

Dirty, unprepared and outdated - that’s how I would describe my family’s stay here. The first thing that struck me was the complete emptiness of the parking lot. At 8pm there were 3 cars…weird. The guy that checked us in was friendly, but barely spoke English so it was hard to understand him or communicate with him, nice guy though and he did his best. The hotel looks nice enough on the outside and in the hallways, but is dated. The room appeared decent too, but the two nearly empty toilet paper rolls, completely empty tissue box, disheveled towels, bed that feels like you are sinking into the abyss when you lay on it, my daughters clean socks that were turned black after walking around for 5 minutes, the office chair that was peeling like it had leprosy, etc, changed that perception. The elevator certainly had not been cleaned in months…years?? I didn’t even check out the free breakfast because the rest of the hotel made me squeamish (and we always partake of the free breakfast as a family of 6). Did I mention that we reserved the “King Suite”? Not kingly. Guh. This is NOT a 3 star hotel. This could be a place that Ryan Trahan goes to on a “1 star review series”.

The place was infested with cockroaches. As soon as we entered the building it smelled like sewage. The hallways were dirty and unkept. The towel for the room were minimal and they had the floor mats as hand towels. We ended up leaving the first night and accepting our losses. The room was roach infested, we grabbed our stuff and told the front desk. They didn’t seem shocked. They offered a different room but we declined.

There was human poop on the sidewalk. There was a strong odor of sewer/feces in the hotel. Don’t even go to the pool area. Smells like feces there too. Water drips in room. Felt like I was sleeping in a sunken down section of the bed. Daughter was afraid of elevators. She thought she was gonna get stuck or something worse. Couldn’t even stay the second night the odor the was so bad. I even read comments, I called and asked about the smell that was posted they acted dumb. So we still went. Never ever again. Please do not stay here.

Air conditioner kept making a noise all night long. The bed was very sunken, and in the middle, there was no shampoo in our room, and in our king size room, we were given one towel. We were extremely disappointed with our experience at the Wyndham Garden Downtown Wichita. The boutique hotel my fiancé and I usually stay at was booked so when looking for another option we decided on Wyndham Garden based on their reputation and proximity to our activities (near the other hotel in old Town). When we pulled up to the WG, it immediately looked shabby and upon entering and looking around, we were shocked by the state of the lobby area. The ceiling panels were sagging, visible water damage was everywhere, chipping paint, unfinished floors, baseboards missing, holes in walls..it was disconcerting but we were hoping the rooms were in better shape. Which they technically were-they were pretty clean. Clean sheets and towels, but everything was just adequate at best. Then we noticed the curtains were stained, the floor wasn’t as clean as we thought, And there was an exposed electrical panel right next to the bathtub! On top of all of this, it was $40 more expensive than the pristine, clean, spacious, comfortable hotel that has so many more generous amenities we usually stay at. Overall very disappointing, unsatisfactory, and would have never booked this if we had known it was not actually run by Wyndham, it is independently owned and run under the umbrella of Wyndham. This is not an experience of a $160/night hotel-it is what I would expect from a $49 roadside motel.

The room was in poor condition. The lights above the sink in the bathroom flickered on and off every time the switch was turned on. I stayed there two nights and I broke out in hives after the first night from whatever was on the sheets. Shower took forever to heat up. The wi-fi was terrible. I tried to do work while I was there and it kicked me off the wi-fi about every ten minutes. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

There was a $100 deposit when we got there. No ice bucket, kleenex out, no phone in room. Front desk said maid would bring bucket, never did. Decent breakfast, but had to stand to eat it, as all the tables were full. The a/c worked well

We have been here several times. And never any issues. Always clean. This time however we got in from KC late evening therefore a late check-in. We requested the latest possible check out time as we could and even stated we’d pay the fees. We were told latest could be 3 pm with the charge of 25$ extra. Next morning however we had hotel staff knocking on the door at 11 am stating we need to check out and when explained that we had a 3 pm check out we were told no need to leave now or they could give us until 1:30pm no charge. It would be nice to have had the late che k out we were told or later check out options

We not expected to put down an additional $100.00 deposit to secure our rooms. We did have a telephone in our rooms. If we wanted 2 keys for our room there was an additional fee. There was a language barrier between staff and guest.

The front desk clerk seemed irritated and said nothing of amenities or breakfast times. The room had many areas of disrepair. The elevator and entry/exit ways were poorly maintained and needed attention. Ice makers on floor2 and 3 were not functioning. There was bad smells in several areas like hallways and one of the bathrooms in our room.both office chairs had pealing leather and at least two light shades looked like they had gone through a battle. We stayed in room 315.

After driving for 12hrs, my reservation was canceled by Wyndham. It seems that they overbooked the hotel and left multiple families without accommodations that were scheduled in advanced. I was not able to find another hotel that night, so we had to sleep in the car at a truck stop. Staff at the hotel acted like they didn't care nor did they try to help resolve. The Expedia crew was awesome because they spoke to the Wyndham Staff on our behave but ultimately nothing could be done. DO NOT and I mean DO NOT spend your money at this hotel. Also patrons were complaining because the elevator was broken as well.

There was no room cleaning for the 4 days we were there. I understand that sometimes you may need to request it or resources are limited, but after asking 3 different days, I got 3 completely different answers on the reason...front desk said I'm supposed to put out a card on door, another front desk person (different day) said no problem, we'll clean it tomorrow, it never happened. I ran into one of the staff cleaning ladies and asked politely any chance the room could be serviced. She indicated they only cleaned rooms on certain days but would make an exception for me. I said I don't need it clean but if we could just have fresh towels and toilet paper (we only had two towels and were out of toilet paper)...Why would the staff who work in the same property have 3 different answers...it made me think the front desk just said anything to pacify the customer but had no intention of following up. If I was told up front, that rooms are only cleaned on xx day, etc, it all would be fine and I would accept that. I just felt the staff either do not know or purposely misrepresented.

Parking was horrible very crowded. Parking lot was small for larger vehicles no matter where you parked. It was construction vehicles in the parking lot very tight fit for vehicles. In our room, couldn’t get the AC to work correctly went to the front desk asked for help. Nobody ever came up to show us what was wrong with it. There was trash behind the nightstand. We had stuff in the fridge and the setting was set so cold that any water bottles or cans that we had froze solid there were three people in our room went down to the front desk and asked for another towel. We were questioned as why we told them we have three people in the room. There was only two towels in there and they asked why we couldn’t just use the same towel for two people Upon check-in. I had already pre-registered online then the gentleman at the front desk wanted me to fill out a paper with all the information on it that already did on the Internet, so I couldn’t figure out why I was filling out everything again that already filled out once before I got there I had already put a card on the room when we got there they wanted a different card. I told him I was paying cash. It went from $50-$100 for paying cash which was fine all in all the entire stay there was very inconvenient. I’ve been at other facilities by this company. It’s been great unfortunately we will never stay at this establishment again

We left before ever checking in. Upon arrival there was a man on the bench outside the door drugged completely out “tweaking out”. Across the street was a homeless camp. We pulled around and parked for about 10 minutes before driving off. In that 10 minutes we witnessed a drug deal and a prostitute being dropped off! We left and went elsewhere. Never even checked in.

the hotel was in a very unsafe location due to homeless persons staying adjacent to the hotel. We were also harassed by a drunk in the hotel parking lot and he made sexual gestures toward us. The hotel only had one rickety luggage cart and it has almost never available. The lobby was under some construction and messy and there was trash piled up on the 3rd floor near the elevator. Even when I told them about it, they ignored me and it was still there the next day. I will never stay there again.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for four nights during NCAA tournament. We had a family suite during that time. Overall, the room was fine for us. However, the rest of the hotel was generally dirty everywhere. It was hard to understand the staff, as they seemed to have come directly from India. We appreciated that the hotel had breakfast included in the rate, but the food was generally poor. Milk was sour, very low quality, food, poor quality, coffee, and utensils that were always missing. In general, the breakfast was not worth eating. The main benefit of this hotel is the location not far away from the downtown arena. We booked this room on Expedia. We found out when we got home, but the hotel had also charged us double for the room that we stayed in after calling back multiple times to get this problem resolved, we had to contact our credit card in call this transaction as fraud. I do not recommend staying here.

Property was well below standards I would expect for a Wydham Garden hotel. Icemaker on floor didn't work. Phone in room didn't work. Hallways were hot and musty. Dead bugs on the floor right in front of the front desk! Also Breakfast was poor - no hot water or hot tea bags, juice was always out. Yogurt left on container with no refrigeration or ice...

Clean room. On the small side. Ground floor outside elevator very sticky/dirty. Breakfast was not good. Waffle mix like water. No fridge for yogurt, milk. Powder like scrambled eggs. Rubber like sausage patties. No biscuits and gravy. Poor service of Breakfast area. Nothing like pic on website. No hot sauce or salsa to put on dry eggs.
