Best Western Plus Wichita West Airport Inn

Card keys did not work on all the doors. Pool was closed and not available. Lawn furniture in the pool. Shuttle service was no longer being offered. Curtain handle to close curtain in our room was broken off and not replaced. Pieces of the sheetrock ceiling had fallen and were in the breakfast room chairs from the rain. Breakfast had alot to choose from but the hot food was horrible. Stick to the box cereal and packaged items.

Well let's just get down to it. This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. It's very old, worn out and in an unsavory area. The red outdoor exterior lighting makes it look like a brothel at night. The building needs a total update, repairs and paint. The furniture in the breakfast area looks terrible (see pics) and the floor was messy. Breakfast was good overall with good selection and taste. Only one elevator was working The pool was closed for two of three days we were there. The nightly noise, drinking, drug use and partying in the back parking lot until 2am was disturbing and we were unable to sleep. First night, the desk clerk said all they could do is call the police and report it. Second night the desk clerk said they would notify the manager. We reported it both nights at 11pm. Basically they did nothing to stop it any earlier that we could tell and it went on for hours afterwards. The grounds exterior were overgrown and trash was present. The entry door trash can was overflowing. The desk clerk standing at the entry door and smoking with her unsavory group of friends(?) was an extra special touch. Love how the cigarette smoke just flows right into the lobby. Smells great. Our room was ok. Appeared to be clean overall. Appeared to have been updated at some point in the past. Upon checkout, the desk clerk did not ask how our stay was and did not say thank you. We informed the desk clerk that our stay basically sucked, and she did not care one bit and did not reply.

The advertisement says 24 hour a day shuttle and free airport shuttle. Oh they forgot to say, NOT ON SUNDAYS, only reason we chose this motel. When asked they said oh we suggest uber, well duh, could have paid less, stayed elsewhere and called uber. Never again! AND get your ad right!

We chose this place based on the photos of the gym/exercise area. Absolute bait-and switch. The exercise area is nothing like the photos…filthy with a few broken down machines and no free weights shown in the photos.

Stay was good. Hotel is clean, staff friendly. Breakfast was good. Area of town can be sketchy at night but the parking lot is extremely well lit. No complaints.

Most amenities were unavailable. Shuttle discontinued. Pool out of service. Vending machines out of service. Lobby doors were broken. Property was very poorly maintained. Breakfast was amazing compared to the rest of the stay. You can tell the ladies are trying their best.

Broken elevator caused major inconvenience. Vending machine was out of Gatorade. Had to travel to convience store late at night when family member was ill. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best that we experienced at a Best Western property.

I always stayed here because of its shuttle service to the airport. It has been discontinued. I will not stay here again.

Very convenient to Friends University and has all the amenities. But they chose to shock the pool, making it unusable, on a very warm weekend. We couldn’t even use the lawn chairs around the pool. Very disappointing. That should have been done during the week, not on a busy graduation weekend.

I've machine broken on 4th floor

It's nothing like pictures on Expedia. Ran down and everything is dirty . We switched rooms, room was okay. But the halls carpet was very dirty. I don't know how this place gets an 8.4 star rating.

Clean room and great breakfast

Lamp bulb was out. Shower curtain was not secure at bottom and water spilled onto floor. Shower floor looked unclean in certain areas. Extra shower head did not work.

Everything went well until I found bedbugs crawling which really gave me the creeps and i felt uncomfortable I was in room 317 from Thursday Sept 28th until Sunday October 1st .. The cleaning must be more profoundly.. I didnt noticed it until Saturday night and then that morning before check out

Found a bedbug in the room. Would not recommend. Asked for the manager and was told they weren’t on duty so asked for them to call me about a resolution for the bedbug problem and they didn’t.

It was clean, shower had good spray and the water was hot. Bed was comfy. The staff was excellent!

Everything was below average. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and the pillows were very lumpy. The AC would only run every 45 minutes or so and never really cooled off the room (1st floor). The staff said they couldn’t do anything about it. The toilet didn’t have much pressure and TP wouldn’t flush unless you tried several times. Morning coffee was decent.

Everything was as expected. My only issue was that the room was very hot when I arrived and it took a long time to cool down.

Quiet rooms with thick walls. Well kept building. Super friendly receptionist.

Staff was accommodating as the first room we booked in had no air conditioning. They switched our room almost immediately. Somewhat frustrating that you couldn't use the key card to enter the back door.

Honestly the bed was the best part!

Older hotel, did stay as they had no rooms and were over booked. 3 people came back to the desk while I was there (maybe 15-min) all had been given keys to already occupied rooms. Pick a different place.

Front desk was rude this morning. No eggs for breakfast

We checked in at a time that is normally pretty busy, but we didn't have to wait long and was in our room pretty quickly. The front desk team was experiencing computer issues that rooms were not being released due to not being cleaned, which was a glitch because they were ready, and they were handling the issue with some unpleasant guests that had to wait a bit longer to work through it wonderfully! When we arrived to ours, the TV was on and there was a bit of trash on the dresser, we thought someone else may have been assigned the room, but it was just missed by the cleaning team. The room was spacious and comfortable for our overnight stay. If I am ever in the area again, we would stay here again! Easy off and on the main highway and not far from many options for dinner.

All the staff there were so kind and attentive! Genuinely one of my best hotel experiences yet!

Tripped in parking lot, fractured a bone, went to hospital so did not spend a lot of time there. Staff was very helpful.

Check in was a little slow because I had to wait on a group, but otherwise our stay was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great! Didn't have time to use the fitness room, but it was a nice size with a variety of equipment.

Excellence!!! Perfect in every way. Cleanest hotel I ever stayed in. Not one hair in bathroom… haha! Friendly, all staff, and breakfast was great. I ate later and it was well stocked. Coffee was always good. Great bed, pillows and I thought about sneaking out towels but didn’t. FYI. They don’t take cash. PS. I’m a hotel snob and this place rocks!!! I reserved two rooms, when checking in I only received the key for one room saying the other party already checked in. This was not possible since we drove there together. I went to get the other party so he could show his ID only to be placed back at the end of the line for another 10 min wait. I was then given the second room key and I asked is someone in the room and was told I hope not. I wen to the room only to find yes someone else was there. I went back to the front desk to another 10 min wait for the staff member to go and check on the room. They came back and said I know what happended and gave me another room key. On arriving to the room there was no microwave I went to call the desk and no phone. So I had to walk back to the front desk and was told not all rooms have microwaves, it took 45 mins to for them to find a vacant room with a microwave and the staff member was not happy saying I had to search all over this place to find one. The second room's shower started backing up after 5 mins of use and by the the end filled the tub up to their calfs. And the ice machince did not work on the 4th floor.

The area felt very unsafe that the hotel was in. They no longer have shuttle service to the airport either which was why i chose this hotel.

Great, convenient hotel near my conference. Free breakfast was good. Quiet hotel; ask for a room on the backside of the hotel if freeway noise bothers you.

Extremely hard to find, poor directions in finding the hotel. The hotel is hidden and in a dark area, underneath a large freeway. No hotel sign with lights on it. The front door is on the opposite side of the building from the parking lot.

Clean and comfortable. Good value. Staff was cheery and friendly. Breakfast was amazing! Plentiful and varied. The person keeping the fresh baked biscuits, yogurt, eggs, sausage and the most delicious home fries mixed with red and green chilis well stock was wonderful.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and nice. The only complaint I have is the breakfast was cold. So we decided to eat breakfast elsewhere the next morning. I had seen a comment about hard pillows so I had brought my own but the pillows they had in the room were great. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Clean room and great breakfast

The hotel is always clean and the staff is very helpful. I stay here twice a year for business. I did not care for the breakfast that I usually love and brag about (totally my taste preference). Eggs were overdone, the breaded meat was microwaved and soggy, and gravy was very thin and tasteless. The link type smoked sausage is a huge plus on the menu. I am only making these comments so that the hotel will see them and maybe make some changes to bring back the great breakfast that they previously served. Great stay otherwise. I will be staying again next month.

The place is clean, easy to get to from the freeway. The breakfast is the best as far as hotel breakfast can be. The price is well worth the stay

We arrived really late. The service was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My teenage boys rate everything by the breakfast and it was definitely 2 thumbs up.
