My only complaint was the gate at the parking garage! We had to make several calls to the help desk bc the machine wouldn’t read our cards or credit card. Also, paying $20 every time you left the parking garage is a rip off.

The pool is out of service which I did not know. Would never have booked. Used to have a beautiful rooftop pool. :(. Basketball court is also out of order. Property is going downhill. :(. It’s sad because used to be such a luxurious place.

There is only one elevator running for 16 floors. The water in the shower would constantly fluctuate between hot and cold. When I was checked in the concierge double billed me and it still hasn't fallen off 4 days later. I will never come back to this property

I didnt like that the pool and other ammentities were not availible although they were advertised. Not from New Orleans, so I didn't know you had to pay for parking during the stay. No refrigerator or microwave in the room.

The room they gave me was dirty, bed was undone & used rags in the bathroom. They eventually gave me a new one but the hotel is dated and dirty. Stains in the hallways, mildew in the walls. My toilet was stained and old.

Not what I was wxpfrom a Marriott Hotel. Only 250ml of water between us, only 1 normal tea bag, toilet flush letting water into cistern all night so couldn’t sleep….. pillows were about 10 years old and flat. Breakfast was a disaster and the cleaner was entering the room without knowcking before we had checked out and I. The room. Carpets were filthy as weee the corridor carpets which were also bubbling in places.

Property was not as pictured. We literally booked it only to sleep in between 15 hours of driving. Shower did not drain so was standing in water up to our ankles. Air conditioner rattled the entire room nonstop. Carpet is mismatched where they pieced it together in the hallways and was noticeably coming up. We checked in at 4 am and left at 9 am. Staff was nice but of all the rooms they could have put us in we were overlooking the roof of the adjacent building

The front desk staff was friendly and so were the valet staffers…. My only complaint is the quality of the rooms and hallways. The room just felt dirty and old and the beds were extremely uncomfortable

This is a beautiful Marriott hotel located on Lake Ponchatrain. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is super clean and smells great. The restaurant is wonderful and reasonable.

I booked a king room, but was given a double queen room. The front desk said they only had 1 king room available, but it was handicap accessible. I accepted the double queen and proceeding to our room. I use the bathroom when I got in the room and 30 minutes later the toilet was still running. The toilet ran the whole time we were in the room. I contacted the front desk and they moved us. The rooms need to come with a fridge. We had 2 different rooms and neither had a fridge.

The service is always amazing. From the valet to the front desk to housekeeping. Amazing, friendly and helpful! BUT wow, this hotel needs some serious work! The beds are AWFUL! We had to change rooms due to the bed being broken just to be moved to a crooked, squeaky uncomfortable bed. Awful! The air conditioning was as so loud… there was a LOUD banging every 20 mins that kept us up all night. The room is in serious need of attention. Nightstand falling apart. Bathroom rusted and faucet coming out of the wall. The hallways are horrible and desperately need attention. The carpet is torn and buckling everywhere. The ice machine was broken but on our floor so had to travel to another floor. We come to NOLA to visit family twice a year for four to five nights each time and would love to stay here due to convenience and being on the lake, but will have to find another option, unfortunately. I can’t believe the Saints athletes stay here. Hopefully they have upgraded beds and rooms!

Our trip was a family trip. I recommend this hotel, there are many positives regarding this hotel that far exceed my negative. Hotel was clean and all the staff ( front desk , housekeeping and wait staff) were super nice and friendly. Can’t say enough about how nice all the staff were! Restaurant was nice and clean and food was delicious. The gym was adequate but there was another gym on the property if u wanted to pay additional money to use. This hotel is next to the water with concrete walking/jogging and bike paths. We walked , jogged multiple days from hotel ( which was right there at water and paths were right there). My only complaint is that the beds in the double bed rooms were only double beds. My wife and I are use to a king bed but can very comfortably sleep in a queen but the double beds felt small to us. If it’s just 1 person to a bed then that’s great but if you have a family that may have 3 or 4 people with multiple people sharing a bed, the beds felt small and cramped. Now the room was nice and clean and roomy . The room could have definitely fit bigger beds. Anyways that’s our only complaint was sharing a double bed, didn’t sleep well with being so cramped. Besides the double beds being small the room, hotel , restaurant and staff were all nice to great. We would stay here again .

Great customer service. The front desk employee was very knowledgeable and help us with the area and some great places to eat. The room was clean and equipped with enough wash clothes and towels. The beds were comfortable and the location was great for what we came for.

Easiest hotel check in I've ever experienced. I showed up, they asked for a picture ID and handed me the room card. I don't have to give a credit card deposit or sign anything. The staff was friendly and the hotel and room were nice. I read other reviews about the parking deck so I had no trouble with it. I will stay here again.

I notified them of my late check in and my booking was canceled and charged a no show fee anyway, which caused some confusion on what I was being charged. I requested a crib... Didn't get it I requested extra towels.... Didnt get it Also, the valet takes a long time but you can leave your key with the front desk once you've already established a valet ticket number that you can use for your entire stay. The hotel is very nice but needs updating. I almost tripped on carpet that's buckeling in the hallways The mattress is an outdated metal spring mattress. You can literally feel and hear the springs. My husband and I both woke up with back pain. Also, no USB ports! We couldn't charge our devices because they only had outlets. They didn't even have a clock or a lamp with the USB ports. It's so outdated that the lamp is turned on by turning the switch by the bulb! Lol This hotel is overpriced for it's outdated condition but I like the location and views of the lake. It was quiet and clean. I won't return because of the price I'm paying and I'm getting a terrible mattress, outdated rooms and mediocre service. The bar lady was amazing tho! She’s very sweet and kind. Overall everyone was nice but my requests were not addressed… poor communication

My stay was one of the most memorable things I have seen. When checked in my mom’s room was not blocked due to her fear of elevator. Kim, the desk clerk went above and beyond the call of duty. First she gained my mom’s trust and then she accompany my mom on the elevator to the 11th floor. WOW, my mom was able too get in and out of the elevator afterwards. Thank you Kim for doing an amazing job

Couldn’t check anyone in and there was an angry mob in the lobby. Not enough cleaning staff to have rooms ready. Half our group just went and booked a different hotel.

The Hotel itself was okay but not the expectations when I requested a "birthday" acknowledgement. I requested some kind of birthday recognition the day of my arrival to be in the hotel room even if it cost me. The lady I spoke on the phone with told me it would be done and not to worry. Well the day came and as we walked into the room, there was no birthday acknowledgement at all. This was very disappointing and ruined the surprise for my wife. I'm not sure what happened but we were let down and I hope this doesn't happen to someone else.

This was my first time visiting the hotel, and I was very pleased. It’s an older hotel, but it’s very well kept and the parking was very reasonable. It’s close to the mall and several food spots, in addition to being only fifteen minutes from the airport. I had a great experience and would definitely stay there in the future.

Hotel had no soap, they had hot water for tea in the mornings but the water was not even warm unless you said something. Restaurant and hotel food was barely acceptable. Expecting much more from a Marriott. I am looking for an accommodation and would expect one please reach out to me to arrange some sort of discount.

I would have given this hotel a 5 star but there were a couple things that I would have preferred. OK The Cons: Covering First I chose this hotel over the others because I seen a restaurant and Starbucks in the hotel and I am all about amenities. The restaurant had very nice people there but the food was horrible and didn’t even really look like much of a restaurant we walked in and it was pretty empty, which was a sign that it would not be good.food looked and tasted microwaved. Starbucks was horrible, only offered 2 flavors. Also I didn’t realize this while booking but for a higher end hotel there was no pool Orr Jacuzzi. That really dampened my anniversary stay because me and my husband like to take an evening jacuzzi dip and could not do this. Two things they don’t tell you while booking… 1- they will hold 200$ when you get there and they charge max at $20 day to park. The pros: The hotel was very clean! Room was clean and a ok size for a standard room. We had a nice city scenery which I love. The staff were ALL so friendly and willing to answer my questions. Valet parking was offered for an additional charge of $26 which is convenient. The area was a safe place and was very close to everything. Overall I do think the hotel is a little overpriced for the quality of amenities. Next time will Probably stay somewhere with a better restaurant and with a pool for that price. Way over priced.

The staff that works at Bistreaux Metairie, the restaurant inside the Marriot , gave top tier service and really went above and beyond to make every meal experience we had so warm and welcoming. They are a good part of the reason we rebooked this location to stay for our business trips to Metairie the last 6 months.
