Place could use a major upgrade. Staff was excellent. However heat all over (including halls and fitness center) was way too hot, big energy waste. Also very disappointing; only one treadmill and one exercise bike working in fitness center, all other equipment "out of order", my husband and I could not both get in a workout as the only working equipment was in use.

Room was ok, a smell of some sort that you got used to. The amenities were basic. Microwave is a community one in the lobby. Water and cups also in the lobby along with vending machines. On site parking a plus ($10/nite). Located across the street was a strip mall that had a Trader Joe’s and a Starbucks. We chose the hotel for its proximity to TD Garden which we Uber’d to. Fitness room was good (6 am-10 pm). Breakfast was very basic (6 am-9 am). What I noticed was the common area carpets needing to be cleaned. The internet was an unsecured network. I had wireless connection but difficulty sending emails. I saw a hotel shuttle, so if traveling without a car, a definite plus.

The room was spacious and everything was very clean. The furniture probably needed updating but as we were only staying for 1 night that wasn’t a problem but an observation. WiFi was apparently not working and was to be fixed in the evening but it wasn’t and therefore checking flights proved tricky. The general area around the hotel doesn’t look great but there was a cinema and shops about a 6 minute walk away. We discovered that too late. More advertising of nearby facilities would be good. For the price it was what we needed.

We requested a shuttle service. We called three times, but had to wait one hour and 20 minutes before they picked us up. We were waiting outside from 2:03 pm on July 22nd, and the driver passed by around 2:20 at high speed. He didn't even look to his side to see if there was someone waiting.

Our recent stay at the La Quinta Inn in Somerville was a very positive experience. The staff made us feel welcome and ensured our comfort even before check in. The hotel's location was pretty convenient, being within walking distance of public transportation, as well as a shopping center with dozens of stores and restaurants. The hotel's shuttle service was a major benefit, available on the hour throughout the day. We used it for airport pick up and drop off, and the drivers were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience.

The fact that they knew I was coming late, they told me their shuttle does not run after 10pm. This needs to be displayed in the expedia app/website, that way I won't have bothered renting the room.

Shortly after check in we checked out. Upon arrival, a man was smoking behind the bushes immediately outside the lobby, the area smelled like pot and a homeless person was occupying the bench complete with their belongings and yelling loudly. The hallways were dirty and stained. Our room carpet was also dirty and the bottom of the bathtub had the worst wear we have ever seen which made it visibly dirty, stained, unsanitary and not okay. We contacted hotels.com regarding our reservation right away. The agent called the hotel and was told no manager was available until the following morning and to not worry they would request the refund. We checked out and rebooked at a hotel down the road - assembly row by Marriott. There is no chance this hotel represents the La Quinta brand. While clearly on the budget end of hotels in this area, the expectation to any guest is for cleanliness, maintenance and safety. This morning hotels.com had a difficult time reaching a manager and then was told no refund would be offered. This is not ok - we did not stay, our rooms were not in acceptable condition nor was the outside lobby area secure. We understand only La Quinta is able to make a refund based on our reservation type. Please do the right thing, refund our stay and conduct a review of this hotel’s condition. It’s a disgrace for the brand.

Small rooms, dark low corridors, dirty carpets, and the whole place smelled of mildew and disinfectant. Breakfast each morning was so crowded people were standing up eating in the lobby. No housekeeping unless you “reserve” it two days in advance, and on our last morning there was no hot water. Unacceptable at over $300 a night. They jack up prices on busy weekends, but cannot provide cleanliness or service to match.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was great. Loved the location. We were close to a shopping area and took Ubers to and from the Boston area. The room was not great. Very outdated and not very clean. The rug was gross. The box spring under the mattress was dirty-black looking. I dropped something on the floor and leaned over to pick it up and noticed finger- or toenail clippings under the desk/table. The room darkening curtain has little holes in it from being so old. The breakfast wasn't good either. I understand it is a hotel breakfast, but I have had better.

The room was in good condition and the sheets were clean. I was disappointed in the shower. There was hair in the shower and on the shower curtain from the previous stay and I could tell it wasn’t clean. Also, that place could use some updates. The elevator is so old, it was squeaky and made me nervous to use it. If I’m paying $300 for a night, I expect a better environment and better quality. I would not stay there again.

Well I just woke up to go pee. It’s 1:14 am on Tuesday May 13, 2025 and as I’m about to go back to bed, I look down and on the towel I used to shower with prior to sleep on the floor is a bed bug. Mind you I’m here with my family to go to Children’s Hospital for a follow up cardiology appointment for my 5 year old daughter and now I have worry about bed bugs and whether I bring them back home. I’m extremely upset and concerned for my family.

The room was smelly and there were two large, curly pubic hairs on the bathroom floor. The hallway was dirty with water stains and looked like it hadn’t been vaccummed in weeks. At breakfast there was a confrontation with a guest and the hotel staff requiring police to show up and intervene. There was yelling and chaos. The computers in the “office are” were out of order however the staff thankfully printed what I needed but it all took extra time and inconvenience. Would not stay here again and would not recommend to anyone

The property is really outdated but the main issue is that it is visible dirty. The fridge door outside was dirty, the carpet was stained/dirty around the edges, the sink was not properly cleaned upon arrival and did not drain properly.

The room was old and dingy. The bathroom light would go out on its own while I was in there then come back on. The bathroom fan was extremely loud and clanky. The Toulet was old and dirty. The toilet was extremely loud and used a ton if watertoileseat

No frills at all. Hotel is old and needs updating. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was tiny with no space to put anything and the sink outside of the bathroom also had a tiny surface. Our room was right on the highway and you could hear it. Area wasn’t the best but safe enough and in walking distance to Assembly Row which was helpful because there was NO water to drink anywhere in the hotel and even the vending machines had none and ice machines were out of order. The price was less than other hotels, but still too high for what you get. We won’t ever be staying there again. It’s unfortunate because the location is good. PS shower was good in terms of hot water and water pressure. We did not eat the breakfast.

The staff was super friendly and the hotel makes it so quick and easy to check in. When I got there I just picked up my keys. There’s a shopping area about a 10 min walk that’s super nice and has good restaurants. The hotel is good, you get what you pay for furniture is outdated but at least the rooms were clean & have a microwave to warm up left overs.

I was stranded at Logan Airport by thunderstorms. I booked at La Quinta Inn and Suites. When I called to ask about getting a shuttle to the hotel, they were great, friendly, and helpful. I also took the shuttle back to the airport 5 hours later. Everyone from the front desk to the shuttle driver was friendly and sympathetic to my sleep-deprived self. The hotel itself is a bit shabby, but my room was clean, the shower was excellent, the bed was comfortable. This is not a luxury hotel, by any means, and if you are frightened of less-than-rich guests in the lobby, banged-up elevators, and a few wobbly things, you won't like it. But it was perfectly acceptable for what I needed.

The room could have been cleaner (rug/vacuuming) and there were gloves/wet rag left in the room after it had been cleaned prior to our arrival. The bed was comfortable. The shuttle bus to the airport broke down that morning, but DJ at the front desk called a cab, paid for it, and we were off to the airport. DJ apologized profusely, but we only ended up 15 minutes behind schedule.

The receptionist at the front desk, older lady with white hair was very rude to me upon checking in. I did not realize that I had two reservations for the same days. I thought that one was canceled.. she was very aggressive on how she spoke to me.. "Mrs Quarrick so what do you wanna do". Such a simple mistake on the person who was suppose to cancel my 1st reservations . The receptionist did not inform us about breakfast or traveling to the airport upon leaving... she also gave me keys to the room that weren't even activated so I had to walk down and asked a different receptionist Jackie and she was polite enough and activated them for me.. the only reason I can't remember the lady name cause I was so upset.. long travel to get help by someone rude.. The inspection paper in the elevator is expired from two months ago.. there was a rip in the carpet so we had to keep making sure that the door closed all the way cause it kept getting stuck on it. Wasn't gonna complain and feel more uncomfortable there so I bared with it.. I would not stay at that location again.

I called from the airport to make sure the shuttle was coming and the lady at the front desk said one was leaving at 3. I called again at 330 and she put me on hold and had another person answer to say the shuttle would be leaving again at 4. I had to push to find out what happened. Apparently she forgot and deferred to her coworker to avoid taking responsibility. I ended up booking an Uber after sitting at the airport for an hour and a half. Aside from that, the tub was missing the drain plug, pubes on the bathroom floor, and it seems they were unprepared to accommodate everyone for breakfast.

My husband and I had 2 opportunities to use this hotel, when we were leaving on our vacation and when we returned. We interacted with 5 receptionists, a few facilities staff (didn't need them but they always said Hi), 2 shuttle drivers, and an unknown person who returned my texts and emails. The experience was topnotch all around. Check in went smoothly as did check out. We used the shuttle service to and from Logan, easy and efficient. We were able to leave our vehicle and paid one of the most reasonable rates around. The best thing was having our room ready with the lights on and the bed turned down after a long day of travel. 5 star review!!

This hotel's location is very convenient and affordable, if you can say that about any hotel these days. It is in walking distance of an amazing shopping and dining area. For business travel to Boston, the T station is a doable walk from the hotel. There is no need to rush as the Orange Line has a train arriving every 4 or 5 minutes. While the hotel is pretty outdated and shows the wear and tear, the rooms are clean. The kitchen staff keep the breakfast area clean and well stocked. But the best part of this hotel is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful.

When we drove in, we were a little unsure of the area, as there the area around the hotel had a lot of trash, appeared run-down. But a quick walk around the corner and you're in a beautiful, lively area with great restaurants, shops and the river. The shuttle service to the airport was exceptional.

our stay was just great. We were near some great restaurants, the subway into the city, beds were comfy, desk staff was wonderful. The only thing we found disconcerting was the neighborhood! We did not feel comfortable walking from the T after dark so we timed our arrivals. The streets around the hotel were trash lined and uninviting.

The breakfast area is too small. people were eating in the lobby. We suggest you move the paper plates and utensils to the left of the cereal, where there is more room. The corner they are in now is the most congested. The first day, you ran out of eggs and the sausages were cold. Coffee was good. Whole wheat bread would be nice. There is a thermostat on the wall in the room, but no instructions on its use. The control by the window worked well. Stains on the carpet at the entrance of the room (215) were not appealing. When we booked, we don't recall seeing a parking charge, although it is possible we simply overlooked it. Staff were friendly and courteous. Online check-in was easy and quick.

No one at desk to check in, breakfast was poor- no one monitors amount of food placed out, eggs full of water, sausage swims ( drowns) in grease, breakfast hours not enough for number of guests, lack of pride by staff. Can’t recommend this place.

Good: Staff, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice with hot waffles, eggs and other standard fare. Free shuttle to the airport is a nice feature. Bad: The property is dated (which is fine), but the carpets in the rooms and corridors are filthy and smells of mildew. The carpet in the room was sticky to walk on. The property needs to be refurbished without any doubt.

The price reflects the dated and worn condition of the property so I might stay again. Hallways are dark, carpets are old, bathtubs are filthy, etc. Absolute worst breakfast of any "free" breakfast hotel that I've stayed at. And why do you let the staff slouch in the front lobby chairs on break? Highly unprofessional...
