We found our room smelled of smoke. The bathroom shower stall was grungy and had a broken shelf so we had no place to put shampoo. The pool was murky anf the area surrounding it was dirty.

The hotel, although saying they had free WiFi, did not. One elevator was out of service the entire stay. The rooms are nice, and you can tell they’re just started a renovation of the hotel, but does need work in terms on breakfast service and cleanliness at breakfast.

We arrived late Sunday and immediately were not impressed. The grounds had trash all over and the lobby looked like it hadnt been mopped in days. One elevator didnt work and the other was slow. Once at our floor the carpet was dirty and was in need of vacuuming. Was told ice machines on 3rd & 5th floor. No ice machine on the 5th floor what so ever and the 3rd floor ice machine didnt work. Our room was clean despite mold in the shower. The next morning for breakfast at 8:30 the only thing good was the coffee. Waffle station was disgusting! Eggs and sausage were terrible to say the least. Not what we expected from a Wyndham hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, will never stay there again!

We got stuck in the elevator along with five other people and consistently pressed for the call bill and no one addressed us or the broken elevator issue. We stayed in the elevator as it moved up and down up and down without stopping for over 20 minutes my eight year-old son was terrified. Eventually the way to stop on the second floor, and everyone got off and walked down the steps. The front desk staff act as if they had no clue that we were pushing the call bill on the elevator.

The hotel has 2 elevators but one is still down for repairs. The first room we received has roaches crawling on the door, wall and counter. The second room had a constant burning smell. On our last day, we were woken up early by the fire alarm going off. Not the best way to be woken up especially with a baby in the room. I vowed this will be the last time staying here. It has really gone downhill over the years.

We killed two cockroaches in our room. Ceiling was peeling in five places. Bathroom ceiling had mold in two places. Room looked odd. Has places where no furniture was like they removed a couch or something. Elevator barely operated. Only one worked. Ice machine was dirty

Only one working elevator. Our first room didn’t have a luggage rack. The furniture was really old and worn.. two of the pillows on my bed were flat as a pancake. My daughter kept hearing noises near our snacks we had on the table, The next morning she saw a mouse in our room. When we talked to the manager, we were given one credit of $ 78 for our four night stay and another room on a higher floor. 5th floor was a little better, but in the bathroom the bathtub had a huge brown bug crawling back-and-forth in the tub. Needless to say we did not use the shower.. We checked out the next day.

Bugs, cockroaches in the bathroom, smells of weed all over the hotel. Outside property liter with trash, wine bottles, and cigarettes. Didn’t feel safe. Our AC was making a terrible noise and they replaced the unit within 30 minutes so that was the only good thing I can say.

We did not stay more than 5 minutes.Room was filthy. Bedding was staind and or dirty. Rented 2 rooms and first thing my parents saw was a cockroach and our room the linens were noticeably not changed and we were 100% sure after checking that we had bedbugs in our room. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Recommend a Hilten Hotel. We stayed at the closet Doubletree. Highly recommend, clean rooms, decent restaurant, VERY friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay!!

Upon walking into the room, the floor was not clean. One of the dead bugs I noticed was a roach. The shower looked like it had just been used and when I went to the bathroom at night, there were roaches scattered when the lights came on. The bed was comfortable. I did not take advantage of the breakfast.

The room was nice size but wrong furniture and cheap floors. Bathroom door was slightly off so u had to hold the handle up and push or go with a noticeable crack in the door. Advertised free breakfast but honestly it wasnt worth the effort to break your sleep to go get what was on the bar... stay in bed you will value the more rest than the effort to go get disappointed for that to be your first meal of the day.

The hotel was okay. We stayed for 2 nights. It was pet friendly which was nice. Our suite was very large which was nice. The first night we didn’t have cold water and the water was very hot! The second day we had cold water. There was one elevator because the other was broken and we were on the 6th floor so there was a lot of waiting on the elevator, we took the steps many times when we didn’t have a lot to carry. But on the day of check out it was a challenge with everyone leaving. The breakfast wasn’t spectacular. No cups for the waffle mix so everyone was using the juice cups and filling it up too full and the mix kept spilling over the waffle maker. It was really messy. But the positive was the bed was comfortable and the suite was large 2 rooms.

The thermostat obviously was not working, couldn't change the temperature in the room.the remote to the TV wasn't working. Had to change the channels on the back of the TV and he water in the shower was barely Luke warm. Ran the water for 5 minutes with no change in temperature

Bed was detached from the wall and very squeaky… water in the sink was cold… when I turned on the shower the knob fell off… O discussed this with the front desk reminding them this is the 2nd horrible experience that I’ve had. Really these rooms should not be priced at $100 when they have lap these defects!!!

Easy to find, cheap price but it has no a.c. It’s just a fan that doesn’t cool the room down, I woke up drenched in sweat. They need a second elevator as the one was always in use and it was hard to not bump into anyone as you were getting off. No wifi unless you sit on the first floor to use it. If I ever pass through again I will NOT ever stay here again. 10 out of 10 don’t recommend.

Chose this hotel because of the name. I’ve stayed in other La Quinta Inn hotels and they’ve all been very nice and wonderful places to stay. This was a one night stay while working in town. The elevator looked like there was a shooting or fight that had occurred from the dents all over the walls. The room itself was not very clean. There were bottles of products under the sink area. The shower was mildew/moldy. The curtains were stained. The chair was stained. The blanket was stained. At breakfast there was old food that no one wanted in the warmers because it was not fresh or being replenished at 9:00. The milk was gone. There was no cream cheese for a bagel. The waffle station was covered in batter that was spilled all over the irons and counters. Empty cups were left and no one was around to clean or take care of anything. The water in the shower was at best warm. Not even hot. Sometimes cold. Over all just a poor place to stay.

Good size room. Close to the stadium for The Weeknd concert and easy to get there and back! Beds were comfortable. The room has some cosmetic upkeep needed, but we were there to sleep and didn’t care.

What the—? was the Housekeeper doing in the hall, talking in Spanish LOUDLY on her speakerphone after 6pm!? Was she standing round, or stocking her cart? I thought it was an ignorant guest with their door open or in the hall. I had to ask her to keep it down. When she didn’t, (Se Habla Ingles?) I had to call the front desk to make her shut up! You know who you are. Is THIS what is to be expected of this La Quinta? “The Check Please”. The room is in need of attention: chipped and warped furniture, sloppy repaint or in need of repainting. I’m never coming back!

The staff were inattentive, the facility was rundown, and unclean. Our room, although recently updated, was dirty and unfinished. Housekeeping did not come clean when asked. Fridge and microwave did not work. The continental breakfast was disgusting and food was left out in counters uncovered. There was a horrible odor to the facility, trash was all over, and people roaming the property at all times. Staff were constantly walking around watching tv on their phones and ignoring the dirt and trash. The gentleman who helped me at check out was the friendliest that I had experienced in the entire stay. Will not stay there again.

I made reservations months ago. I drove 4 hours and as I pull in they call and say they are full that I don’t have a room. We were here for a concert that started at 7 having to stand and bicker with the front desk until 8. I missed half the concert. They then finally said ok we have a room so we go to drop off luggage and it’s had one king size bed for four adults! This has been a horrible experience and I need to be compensated for all of this mess! I am furious

At check-in the customer service was great! Once checked in we checked out the room and everything seemed fine. Left out for a few hours to get dinner. Came back to shower and the shower wasn’t working my husband went down to let front desk know. As he’s at the front desk my niece sees a roach! As he’s at the front desk I tell him so he can let the lady at the desk know. She switched our room and in the process we see 2 baby roaches. Get to the second room (only so we could try to find another hotel. There was no way we were going to stay there and bring roaches back home with us! I refuse to bring something back I didn’t come with!) my son and niece pull the covers back to 2 gigantic stains on the bedding. Literally arguing with the lady about a refund. She tells me I’d have to wait til morning for her manager and if he against then he’ll refund. No way! We’re going to settle this now. There’s nothing to think about with seeing a whole family of roaches and another room had big stains on the bedding. We were only there because it was close to the stadium where we had tickets for a game the next day. Went through so much before I told her to give me the general manager’s number! She didn’t even seem to be surprised about the roaches. I had to spend more than what we planned for another hotel and was nowhere near the stadium. So thanks to them my hotel stay rate doubled and my time tripled just to get to the stadium! Would neverrrr recommend them ever!

The staff was very nice. They had to move me to another room because the air didn't work. I was put on the first floor and the lady brought my cart to my room. Anytime I called or went to the front desk, the staff was very nice and accommodating. I would have given 5 stars on some things... BUT...when the weekend comes, a lot of loud ppl come in smelling like weed and noisy when they come in. Outside of that...when they get when they are going, it becomes quiet again. I love staying here because it is close to my family. I only moved because the game was at the stadium and on Saturday the rates doubled and they were sold out. One of the ELEVATORS still don't work. It's been like that for a while. Would I stay there again ....yes yes yes. That is the only hotel in Capitol Heights that will ever get my business. Thank You staff!

Got there. Checked in, AC didn’t work in a room, front desk was great and changed my room for me, however getting off the elevator and on the 2nd floor there was a very strong chemical smell. It was so bad after 20 minutes I had a headache. I gathered my things and the front desk was nice and refunded my stay

Rundown property, dirty, poorly maintained. In scary location with people loitering around the parking lot. Very noisy, scary clientele. Not at all what you would expect from a La Quinta. Pictures are deceptive on their website. Police called to property while we were there. Absolutely awful.

SKETCHY, we picked this for being close to the stadium, but we walked in and walked out. Never stayed there didn’t feel safe with my kids. Management won’t refund our money but we still didn’t stay there. Don’t do it. Look somewhere else, place is dirty, falling apart, and unsafe. There was another family checking in at the same time that did the same thing as we did.

I did not like a lot of people smoking marijuana in the parking lot. It was a little unsafe to be around that. The area around the hotel is too dark and do no recommend to walk around at night. Overall not a good place to stay with family. I think the hotel is becoming a shelter.

Rooms were good. Pool was fine for the kids. Breakfast was fine. Elevator was slow so we used the stairs. Chicken restaurant across the street was great! Close to many food places and convenience stores.

We stayed here while visiting Washington DC, as it's affordable and close to the metro. We stayed here about 6 years ago and obviously weren't expecting the ritz. The entire hotel smelled of strong weed and cigarettes. The room we were first assigned to smelled musty and full of weed, the front staff was great in allowing us to move to a new room which didn't stink. The breakfast was bland, bagels, toast, apples. Waffles if the dispenser worked. The cleanliness of the place wasn't great, and I think the smell of the overall hotel was the worst part. Also, one elevator worked which is fine but it was super slow.

The outside of the property looked abandoned when we first pulled up because the fence was all bent and the sign wasn’t on. The front desk employee was nice, the beds were comfortable but the rugs throughout the hotel were so dirty. The breakfast was terrible. Both waffle makers weren’t working, the eggs were cold and rubbery, stale cereal, & the coffee wasn’t hot. This was at 7am when breakfast was just available. Thank goodness they had packets of peanut butter and jelly so we could have that on toast or a bagel. I wouldn’t recommend staying there.

Aside from the rudeness and lack of respect from the staff and the shower not working, the breakfast did not look appetizing at all. There was waffle batter all over the counter and waffle makers and with my earlier experience, I didn't try anything else. I wrnt out for breakfast instead.

Very easy to get to the Commanders stadium. Delys in getting our room assignment, but lots of people checking in at the same time, computer issues that day. Otherwise the stay was great. Very good breakfsat bar with several options.

The breakfast was not the greatest. The sausage was like rubber, the cereal was stale, the waffles were getting stuck on the waffle maker bc they didn't have spray, and it was super messy; no one maintained the area to keep it clean. My ac wasn't cooling for the 1st 2 nights the bed was hard and there were baby roaches the elevator smelled like piss the first night bc someone urninated in there. The only good this was that they had DOVE products to shower with was great!
