Expedia said there was a pool. The pool had been closed for six months and the staff told us the pool was not going to be fixed. Expedia said there was a game room. The game room had been converted into the hotel's storage/repair room. The hallways felt dingy and were in disrepair. The room door was slightly stuck in the door jamb. The shower had no curtain nor curtain rod. The tiles in the shower were dirty and tiles were missing. The ice machines and the 3rd and 2nd floor were broken. Finally, the coffee cups have no lids. All of the staff I spoke to were pleasant and as helpful as they could be.

No hot tub as advertised. No outdoor pool as advertised. The indoor pool area was dirty, pool water looked murky and the enclosed area was hot and stuffy. Property appeared very dated and run down, poor breakfast offerings. Outside of hotel appeared quite sketchy, would not stay here again.

I should have looked at the reviews, this place was a nightmare. Had I known it would be this bad I would have never booked. The hotel is dirty and rundown. Took them 45 minutes to get us a room because the room they originally gave us was not cleaned. Pool is disgusting, hot tub is non functional. Breakfast is stake donut holes. Pool room has expired license and black mold. Sauna is broken. Ice machines are broken. Someone tried to open our door at 4:00 am. Just do not book here, run away!!!

There’s is no hot tub but it says there is on line and shows one in the picture. Days inn and baymont are the same hotel in one building. You have to go to the desk to get towels and tp they only came and cleaned the room 1 time in my 11 day stay only after I complained . Smelled tearable in the halls. There’s black mold on the window sills in the pool room. But if I book a hotel that says it has a hot tub it’s very disappointing to find out they don’t it’s back filled with cement.

This hotel doesn't deserve a 1 star. DO NOT STAY HERE. This is the nastiest hotel I have ever been in. They advertise a hot tub which they do NOT have. The pool is disgusting and the concrete is moldy. The pool area does not look like it has been cleaned in years. If you have allergies beware as the pool area stinks of mold/mildew. Room was filthy. Baseboards falling off the walls. Bathroom has moldy grout around the tub. Tub is stained and a steady stream of water running from the tub that could not be shut off. The balcony was nothing but a weedy area outside the sliding door with a bench and tons of cigarette butts covering the ground. Lamps did t have light bulbs. I would sleep in my car before sleeping in this dive. Upon being told by the hotel manager we could cancel our 2nd night without a charge we have been trying to get a refund for over 3 weeks and the hotel manager answers the call and hangs up once he knows what the call is in regards to.

We didn't even end up staying at this property as we did not feel safe or comfortable. Building was very run down and outdated. There was only one way to get in and out of the building other than emergency exits. Pool and hot tub were advertised and it was not until I arrived at the hotel that a sign was posted by the front desk that the indoor arcade and pool were closed for maintenance. This was one of the biggest reasons why I chose this property to begin with. Customer service was not great when checking in or when I left after less than 10 minutes of being there. Staff was also extremely rude to my husband on the phone when they called to find out why we left.

Pool was not open, did not effect my rating. Call and check if you want the pool. Not sure what was wrong, they told me chemical balance issue. There was a field in the outdoor pool with nice grass, I did not ask but, I hope that was not the chemical balance issue...lol

The website said there was a hot tub, got there and it had been cemented in, our toilet seat was missing a screw so it kept sliding every time you sat down. Breakfast was an option of donut holes or cereal. People who are diabetic like myself couldnt really eat.

The pool was dirty, the game room was a room with games in it but non worked and you need a separate key, the elevator shakes back and forth violently, and the placement of the door to the bathroom is questionable. Bring power strips as there aren't many chargers.

When I arrived at the hotel it smelled like cigarettes. I did a video walk through of my room when I arrived and found cockroaches. The rooms were dirty, sheets were stained, bathrooms were dirty and the small patio area was covered in trash. Nothing about this hotel was clean or safe.

The room was not cleaned well you could tell it wasn’t vacuumed nor dusted I found trash and plastic wraps from possible previous occupants and the bathroom had mold and chipped paint I will definitely not be returning I was forced to stay because I didn’t get the insurance plan to protect me from the cancellations and they refused to refund me my money but I’ll definitely not going to return

I booked a room to stay for myself and my kids for family weekend at GVSU. I was mortified at the smell and how dirty everything was! The hallways carpets are completely stained, the room had BLACK MOLD on the shower and the shower tile grout was disgusting! I was so afraid to sleep with the screaming, and filth we left.

Absolutely disgusting. Cockroaches (fresh;y hatched) in the lobby, the floor in the room was sticky and we had to keep our shoes on the entire time. The shower was covered in mold. This place should be condemned and the people running it should be fined. I’m honestly appalled that they haven’t been shut down yet.

The entire hotel is an older building that has been renovated into two different hotels that are somehow combined. It’s like they tore down outer walls on both buildings and added hallways between them. The signage pointing to the rooms is very confusing since both buildings’ signs are still on the walls. We’re on the second floor and the sign doesn’t have our room number. You can only find our room after passing a hallway to the other hotel. The tub has black stuff in it, the bed has some kind of stain on the sheets. The toilet seat is broken. The furniture is in terrible shape. I’m afraid to look in the mini fridge.

The room its self was fine. It was clean. The bathroom was super small. Could barely shut the door after you walk in. The shower felt like you could fall through at anytime. When you first walk in the hotel was beautiful and then you get past the lobby and it was kinda gross looking. It is a very unsettling feeling walking through. Seemed to be in a bad area. We were ready to leave by the end of our two day stay.

When we arrived, I had already checked in online - I was told I needed to give my CC again, so I did. Never asked if it was something special (there for a birthday) wasn't asked if we wanted to upgrade the room - every time I left the person at the desk was on their phone - one time I walked up to the desk I even had to say excuse me because the desk person (a gentleman) was so engrossed in his phone he didn't even notice I was there - the pool had to have a separate key card, they didn't provide towels at the pool, you had to bring your own, the phone in my room was broken so I couldn't call room service even if I wanted to. The Breakfast was on time, and they left it up for a few minutes past 9, which was nice for those who were on their way out, they could grab something. I had interacted with the cleaning staff on my floor, and they were very, very nice to give me fresh towels (I had the do-not-disturb sign on my door, but they were cleaning, and I asked quickly; they were very, very friendly).

The property has 2 names shown, which is confusing when trying to find the place. I was sure if I was at the correct hotel. Upon entering there were 2 side of the front desk. When I got into the line for the name of the hotel I had booked the front desk person rudely said over here. I left my coat and hoodie there and the hotel would not bother to look or check their lost and found or even contact me. It is still on going. I was told different things by the same lazy front desk person. First that they throw everything away, then on a different call that I needed to speak to a manager that is never there, and that he doesn't know when the manager would be there because they come whenever. I don't understand why someone can't just check the lost and found. Very poor customer service. Bad attitude and bad area. I would not recommend staying here.

Upon arriving there is broken glass all over the parking lot. In clear signage. It was 3 pm check in time and no one was at the desk. Assign Read have a seat in the lobby and will be back shortly. Bathrooms are locked. We waited 30 minutes before someone actually came never apologized for the wait even filled out the early check in and told them what time we’d be arriving. Even completing early check-in you have to redo the process standing at the desk. The halls and elevators smell like marijuana and cigarette smoke. When telling the front desk about someone smoking marijuana in a room on our hall there was no urgency to address it. Seems that long term stay is priority. The entire hotel needs upgrading or simple repairs. The breakfast, if it can even be called that is awful the food is old and dried out, limited options and quantities. There is no extended time for breakfast on the weekends. The pool area is atrocious old in a very odd room that smells terrible. The pool is murky and taken over by rude kids unattended by adults. You have to have a special key card for the pool and exercise room. They do not offer it to you at the desk even though they should when you check in and it expires long before your stay is up and they don’t tell you that either. There is a a sign on pool room door you have to get towels from desk and the desk said towels were in pool areas and they were not. It was like pulling teeth to get towels. People loitering after dark.

I would not stay here again. The staff is incredibly rude, I didn’t ask for any special requests just simply checking into my room, lol. Once we got to our room the shower was leaking onto the floor and a tile was busted in a few spots. The hotel smells like cigarettes at all times. Didn’t even consider the pool or hot tub after we saw our room. The surrounding area is “sketchy” as well. Spend the extra couple bucks and book something more downtown.

I had expected a better experience with the hotel being a Baymont. Check in was easy online but, then once getting a room key, I was charged an additional $50 for a deposit. The room was average. The carpet next to the bed was badly stained and warn. I'm not sure why but, the smoke detector was missing and what appeared to be laundry dryer sheets where shoved in the hole where the smoke detector once was. The TV remote didn't work. The bathroom was ok with exception of the tub would not drain. It appeared that the water in the tub after a shower was slowly leaking under the laminate flooring and seeping up when stepping on the floor. The pool and hot tub where not in service. And finally the breakfast options were limited to 3 types of cereal or a bagel. That was all that was available. The staff was friendly. Oh! And the parking lot was full of glass. Likely from car break-ins.

For starters, the listings for this hotel are quite deceiving. The rooms are not anywhere near as near or clean as the photos suggest, and their pool has been closed since December. We booked this hotel due to it's lower price and it having a pool we were hoping to relax in. It was also close to downtown and made getting to activities we had planned a breeze. That's about all I can say in the positive for the hotel. When we checked in the process took forever, their card machines are down, and in the process of being upgraded. The bathrooms on the first floor are out of order, so if you need to go right away you might as well hold it. After check in we went up to our room, upon opening the door it smelled awful, like something had been rotting or sitting wet for a while. Inside we found the bed unmade, there was juice on the counter that was growing mold in it, and then a pile of wet, musty towels in the bathroom. Needless to say we requested a different room. The woman at the front desk was very sweet and happy to give us a different room just down the hall. The room was cleaner, however the toilet seat wasn't fastened on the toilet and moved each time you tried to use it. There were chips in the paint and tile of the shower. There was also what appeared to be a blackish mold on the ceiling in the shower. Our toilet backed up and I tried to ask for help at the desk. They handed me a plunger and just said to bring it back when I was done. Staff were also unprofessional

Expedia showed this property as what looked like a nice new hotel. This hotel was a remodeled days inn and was remodeled very poorly. Expedia charged $150 a night for this hotel and in person was about $60. This hotel is in a sketchy part of town and I would not recommend to anyone.

When i pulled up to the property the area didn't look safe, there were a lot of people in the parking lot, it looked there was a fight and a lot of commotion. I took my family to another site for safety reasons. Thus I never checked in and went to another hotel

The property was located in a bad neighborhood. It advertised a hot tub but did not have one. The inside looked like an an old hospital with mismatched carpet. The adjoining room door lock was not able to be locked from both sides leaving me feeling very unsafe. I left without asking for a refund because my safety was more important.

There was a roach crawling in the bathroom. The ice machine was broken on the 1st floor and we had to go to the 3rd floor. The breakfast was not continental, and the bagels were frozen. The pillows were ridiculously soft. This hotel needs a major update and cleaning.

The website said there was a hot tub, got there and it had been cemented in, our toilet seat was missing a screw so it kept sliding every time you sat down. Breakfast was an option of donut holes or cereal. People who are diabetic like myself couldnt really eat.
