Property is beautiful with tons of extra amenities however for the price we paid for the room, we were disappointed that the rooftop pickleball and bowling alley were both an extra fee. We declined playing for that reason and find it pointless to stay in a hotel for this kind of money that charges extra for non food amenities.

Everything was enjoyable about the stay with the exception of an over crowded pool and hot tub limiting use of those amenities. Also the queen beds were very uncomfortable resulting in poor sleep quality for all in our group.

Location was perfect! Walk to restaurants downtown, river walk etc. hotel was beautiful, great amenities. Parking was my least favorite. It was expensive to park there, $41 in garage $45 valet but it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again bc the upside made up for it

Great central location in downtown area. We had some minor issues that were resolved quickly. Staff was very responsive and friendly. Room decor was average but the river view was fantastic. Lots of shops in the building so you can purchase anything you might need without having to go outside.

Very nice hotel. Clean and staff is friendly. However not very organized. Long line up for valet parking. Waited at least 20 minutes. Room was not ready 2 hours past check in time. Had to wait an additional hour. Very loud area where hotel is located. Rooms are cute but small, very thin walls…. Could hear everything. Nice hotel and served its purpose.

Paid a lot of money to stay there and had to pay for parking on top of it. Also only had one working elevator, which we then had to go up 10 flights of stairs because we could never get on one. Also had to take those 10 flights down with all of our luggage, or we would’ve waited an hour for an elevator.

Parking is remarkably inconvenient unless you pay an extra $45 +/- for valet service that isn’t included in the “total cost” shown by Travelocity. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and well trained, and the room was clean. There was a beautiful view of the river and the city to the West by Northwest. The pre-paid breakfast was definitely unremarkable at best, probably more sub par by local standards, and not worth the cost. But.., there really isn’t much available close by, unless you retrieve your car and drive somewhere.

I stayed at this hotel previously (10 months ago), so I thought I knew what to expect. This stay however disappointed me. There was many, many strands of hair in our restroom upon check-in. Hair present on the vanity/sink area, stuck to the shower curtain, shower walls, and on the bottom of the tub. Unsure if it wasn't thoroughly cleaned after the last customer or if the housekeeper wasn't wearing a hair net. Either way, it was absolutely gross! I will try another downtown hotel for my next stay.

It is a beautiful hotel and it is old. But room wasn’t cleaned very well. There was dried blood on pillow case and sheets. Toilet and shower are in a separate area from the sink, so when you use the bathroom you have to go to another room to wash your hands. No door on the room with the sink/ counter/ mirror to give you privacy while getting ready. A lot of homeless people outside the hotel. Lots yelling and screaming Grand Rapids was dirty drug addicts running in traffic and getting in your face while your trying to cross the street.

Our bed sheets were stained. The bathroom had a dark liquid splattered on the back of the door, walls and light switch. They did comp our parking for this issue. Still disappointed as I perceived this to be a high end hotel.

This has always been my goto for stays in Grand Rapids, never been disappointed in the past, but this time cleanliness of the room was a disappointment. Dust all around the edges of the room and around the base of the bed. The elevators looked as if they had not been wiped down or cleaned in quite some time. For the cost of my stay, I expected better. Will think twice about staying here next time I’m in Grand Rapids.

Unfortunately the cleaning service was problematic. There was a significant amount of mold in the bathroom shower. I called and asked for my room to be cleaned—the policy now is every 5 days—they cleaned and the mold was still there. I am severely allergic to black mold and I now have a sinus infection. A simple thing like bleach kills mold. There should be better housekeeping .

I did not like that our hotel room was dirty with black mold in the bathroom tile. Carpet dirty. Walls cracking, patches & bubbling. Closet not having a door and there was no microwave. Could hear people talking normally in the room next door.

The bathtub drain was broken and unclean. When I tried to take a bath dirty material came back up into the tub. Also found numerous hairs not belonging to my husband or myself upon entering shower. The next morning for checkout (at 11) our door was knocked on no less than 3x by housekeeping making me feel rushed. It was rude. We were checked out by 1030. I’ve stayed here before but was not impressed this time.

Super comfy bed and sheets! Beautiful decor. Room was pretty small and bathroom was uncomfortably tiny and difficult to get ready in. No counter space for toiletries and makeup. Overall we had a nice stay, but it wasn’t worth how much I paid for the room.

Nice stay Our rooms bathroom was way too little. The water closet was too industrial Noisy between walls . We could hear our neighbors talking VERY clear! Chair stained, entry doors so tiny. Very interesting. Great location!!

Checking in was a nightmare, the lady that tried checking us in confused me for “Emiliano Rodriguez” and said we had checked out even though gave her my license Twice. She did not introduce herself or make any eye contact with me or direct conversations with me, which I found very disrespectful. She triple charged me for the “accidental fee “ which out a hold on those funds for the weekend.she also never communicated to me that she was trying to fix this or find a solution but instead called someone else and they took over . Not only did they charge me 3 times for the accidental fee but then when I checked out they charged me twice for the room Which also put a hold on those funds …. Overall my first experience here was not what I expected for how much a paid for a one night stay. I did receive a $50 gift card from the last lady I spoke too which was very much appreciated but didn’t really do much with all my funds holding.

Would’ve been 5 stars if we didn’t have to wait 5 hours for our room AFTER check in time. Check in was at 4:00. They said they had no rooms even tho we booked 6 months in advance. Had us pay $350 for our room but wasn’t able to actually get the key until 9:30 at night. Worst customer service experience ever. But the hotel itself was very nice & super clean. Not sure if I would ever go back after that though unfortunately.

Check in doesn't start until 4 pm. We got in the long line to check in to our room only to find out our room wasn't ready and we would get a text when it's ready. We were staying because we had a concert my wife and a few women had to get ready in their public bathroom instead of their rooms. We got a text hours later while we were at our concert. We walked back and had to stand in line again to check in. We only got to enjoy our room for a few hours. With no late check out offered. It happened during mother's Day weekend when I was trying to spoil my wife.

I used the app to request 1 out of like 15 rooms that were available early that morning. When we arrived at check in time at 4pm, the digital key in the app that we were going to use was supposed to be easy to access our elevator and room (no front desk necessary) didnt work. We had trouble finding rooms and someone to help. The Hilton app offered chat service for help, but response was not timely. After a half hour of trying to find the front desk and another 15 mins of waiting in line, they preceed to tell me the room is not ready. We pick a different room, easily find the elevators now and the digital key worked good, and so did room keys. Room was clean, ok view of the river, nice shower and bathroom, had some lotion bottles along with shampoo, conditioner, and hand bar soap. Only had washclothes and hand towels, no large bath towels. Bottom of sitting chair was broken that had small thin boards with nails sticking out, anyone could have gotten hurt. Nice size tv, bed was comfortable and clean but could have used a comforter on it, it only had two flat sheets. Ordered Wolf Gang Puck pizza and it was delicious! We loved how there is restaurants inside the hotel. The event we went to was at Van Andel, so we used the Skywalk from the hotel to walk all the way to the arena without having to go outside. I would rate the stay 4/5. They could have had more ways to be able to find your way around the hotel and made sure the rooms were maintained a little better.

We arrived on time for check out waited in line over an hour to check into our room to be told our room wasn’t available they would call us IF it became available unless we wanted to except a room down grade. We had a 7p concert the reason for our stay by this time we were unable to eat dinner we had to rush to the arena. This was the absolute worst experience I have EVER had with a hotel I would never recommend this so called upscale hotel to anyone. Staff was very rude such as a take what we offer of leave attitude. But naturally bill my card.

I grew up not far away, so I knew that the Amway was the closest hotel for the conference happening at the DeVos. Of course, despite the Amway affiliation, it IS a Hilton, and it’s a very old building in the architecturally gorgeous downtown district. It was also FULL, due to ArtPrize. From the valet and bellman, to the ease of getting tables at the on-site restaurants, to the fabulous and knowledgable waitstaff at the restaurants… we always feel like being Hilton guests gives us a VIP pass and the Amway Hilton did not disappoint. We were able to spend a “business” trip with some friends in the same business, and do it very comfortably. The bathroom was the only “less than stellar” issue, and the front desk was quick to send someone the two times we called (on the first and third nights of our three-night stay). The service more than made up for the fact that old buildings have occasional issues.

We stayed for Billy Strings at Van Andel Arena for Halloween and was pleasantly surprised we didn’t have to walk the 10 minutes several blocks away outside in the snow. The skywalk took us directly there. Great hotel.

Room service only available from one restaurant and ends at 10 PM. This is a 4 star hotel it should be available 24 hours. Very small bathroom with a public toilet. Small room not worth the price. Not pleased with the stay definitely not 4 stars! Will not stay there again. Only good thing was the staff.

The property was clean, the staff was very attentive and helpful. There was plenty of dinning around the area but not in the hotel. For breakfast we ate at the hotel restaurant called the Kitchen, had an overpriced serving of underwhelming french toast. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was cramped with minimal space. The parking was not included and cost an additional 40 sum dollars a night. Total score I would say 3.5 out of 5 stars. Really nothing special, but If needed I would stay again
