Enjoyable hotel. Staff was outstanding. Front desk and breakfast staff were so friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcome. Pool/hot tub area was extremely nice. Facility was clean with lots of places to sit in the breakfast and pool areas. Enjoyed a few games of pool, air hockey and skeetball in the upper level game room. Absolutely would stay here again.

The hotel is a very nice hotel. I do think it is overpriced. The fitness room was tiny but the swimming pool was large with a hot tub. Part of it went outside. It also has a gaming area which was a plus. I did encounter a bug issue in our room (not bed bugs) which was bothersome and still waiting compensation for.

The staff was very helpful abd welcoming. They have an adult only swim time starting at a time that children should be in bed. Breakfast was great. The beds were very comfortable, and parking was close, free, and easy.

The facilities were beautiful and clean, and the staff were very welcoming and professional, but the pool was out of order, which was the main reason for my stay at this location with grandkids. Hotels.com did not warn us, and because I booked through them, Holiday Inn could not issue a refund.

Friendly staff, had a hard time with room card not working, took at least 4 times to desk to get fixed. We were at opposite ends of building from front desk, so getting to room and key not working and having to go pee was a problem. No towels in pool and hot tub area was a problem also.

Great breakfast and pool! The kids loved the Michigan shaped pool and awesome hottub that was indoor/outdoor. Our room was clean. The bathroom fan was dusty but other than that, everything was great. Perfectly located to every restaurant and just a short trip to downtown Holland. Will be back!

I like the idea of dutch style theme, however it appears to have lost it roots. The pool/ hot tub were nice, but the rooms are outdated. Wallpaper is peeling off of the walls, build up of debris around the toilet, and housekeeping was slow.

The pool and hot tub are really nice. The front desk also really nice and helpful. Breakfast was great and also very good coffee in the lobby. The problem is the doors. Our first room was first floor next to exit door at the back of the building and we had to move. All the doors to the outside and also the 2nd floor door to the arcade area slam so loudly. Stay in the middle of the building and it should be much quieter so you can sleep.

During most of my 2-night stay, I was unable to access the internet. I did ask for help at the front desk. It was suggested that I reboot my laptop. I did; I got internet; all good. But then it happened again. Rebooted several times and at several different times. Never again got internet. Also, the vending machine was sold out of bottled water, and no cold water was available in breakfast area. There were water fountains, but who knows what kid's mouth or what person's germs were on those.

Loved this hotel. Our only complaint: Our room was at the end of the hall next to an exit door which had no spring on it. From 5 am in the morning on, we heard the LOUDEST continual BANGING from that door. Please… put a catch or a spring in that door! Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful.

The hotel needs to be updated for sure! No smart t.v’s in the rooms and furniture is dated. Other than that it is clean, staff are friendly and the pool area is nice.

Front desk was great!!!! Entire hotel very clean. Breakfast included but they start taking things down at 9:45am. 2 of my children were unable to eat. Ran out of pancake mix. But overall a great stay. Lots of places to eat near by.

Started around 12:48 in the middle of the night. A grown man started pounding and yelling on our door trying to break it down. My wife was terrified called the front desk. He didn’t seem too worried about it. Then through the night someone kept knocking on the door, needless to say didn’t get much sleep. The worst part went to the front desk the next morning didn’t seem to worried about the issue

Our room was on the second floor and the hallway was very darkly lit. Just felt odd. Our keys stopped working on the second day. We had three rooms in our party, separate reservations, and all keys didn’t work. Front desk was able to get us new keys. The first night, December 30, the pool area was empty but we still had to go to the front desk for towels. We were told they’d put more out but they did not while we were there. Breakfast had a hard time keeping up on Jan 1. Pancake machine had issues and people were waiting for eggs for 10+ minutes. We were notified of a water shut off 11-3 on Dec 31. The note was under our door when we woke up. Given only two hours notice was just a bit odd. An indication of what would be affected as well as offering water bottles would have been nice. Overall a fine stay.

The time we spent there was great, but we had a unforeseen issue that we had to depart early when it told the front desk they said no problem they had credited it back to hotels.com but when i contacted hotels.com to find out about the credit they said Holiday inn refused. very poor training wasting my time about 1 hour on the phone people should have more respect for peoples time.

The colored hotel with a Michigan shaped pool was exciting for my younger daughters! The staff was helpful and easy access to our room with two elevators. Breakfast had many choices including pancakes, muffins, bagels, toast, and a warm item that changed each day such as biscuits and gravy. Close to dining options and the Dutch Village. 15-20 from state beach! Overall a great stay! We will be back!

Great place, very clean! A little pricy for the amenities. The Breakfast Bar deserved maybe a 2 Star. Selection was not very good. Eggs, round Hash Brown patties, Sausage Patties. Cold Cereal, small selection of bakery items. We ate there the first morning but the second morning we opted to visit IHOP.

Breakfast is very generic and bought from Cisco in already prepared form. HIE used to have the food actually prepared on site, now they just microwave it and it tastes like it. This is probably industry wide now though.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. Choice of eggs, meat, and potatoes were different every day. Yogurt in a cup was offered from a small refrigerator. Cereal, make your own pancakes along with fresh apples and bananas to choose from. The room was okay, just your average size, nothing to brag about. The swimming pool looked huge.

This was a really nice, very clean quiet property. The only issue we had was that there were 2 very large groups, a tour bus full of young people and a large group of young men. The facility housed them well except for breakfast. The rest of us had very slim pickings, and were unable to be eat until late due to these groups and all their belongings taking up the entire area. Better arrangements are needed for this type of situation.
