Econo Lodge Menomonie On The Bay

AVOID!!! Looks like a good place but by far the worst hotel experience i have ever had. The front desk staff was nice but everything else sucks. I shouldnt have stayed there but it was already paid for. My rooms sheets wasnt even changed when me and my wife were there. Didnt realize till morning after we woke up. We got in super late like 11pm at night. Something was smeared on the the sheets and mattress pad on the side of the bed. I have pictures. After my wife asked the front counter in the morning if we could please get the sheets changed because we didnt know what was on it. We came back after a whole day out visiting my family to the sheets not changed and all they did was wipe it off. So gross. So my wife went back down to the desk and asked for for a fresh sheet set and we ended up putting fresh sheets on our selfs. As for breaksfast in the morning forget it go else where unless you want a jimmy dean sandwich you heat up in the microwave or 3 kinds of cereal to choose from along with boiled eggs. I know its continental and complimentary from them but i have never seen so low of choices to choose from in a hotel. I have stayed at cheaper hotels and got more when it comes to breakfast

Location is great. However, the room had cob webs, not many but still, the TV is very small, seam in the top of the tub is black and needs to be cleaned and lastly, the pillows were rock hard.

Very clean room and very helpful staff.

It was fine for a one night stop. Some of the pillows and the mattress were firmer than we like. The breakfast was sufficient; fruit, yogurt, cereal, breakfast sandwiches, boiled eggs, juice coffee. Staff was pleasant

We had to clean our room when we got there because the restroom looked like it didn’t get cleaned at all, simply pulled back together. Urine spots had to be cleaned off the toilet, there were red stains in the sheets from someone’s nail polish, and there was a loose pill found on the ground right next to the edge of the bed. We checked in with a dog and were lucky we found the pill instead of the dog.
