Delta Hotels by Marriott Muskegon Convention Center

I picked this hotel for the pool which was closed when I got there. I knew there was no breakfast but no coffee station either? There is a Starbucks in the hotel but the barista didn't know how to make a latte. $50 a night incidentals charge is just unnecessary. Not recommended.

I loved the location and overall it was great. The improvements to the restaurant were nice. The only problem I had was the hot tub was out of service. Big bummer

Only one elevator was working and hotel was very busy. Main elevator stopped working on our last night and we had to use the staff elevator. Hot tub was not working at all for the 6 days we were there. Cost not worth quality of stay. Restaurant was pricey and food not that good.

Nothing special. For the price I paid I could have had a better experience elsewhere. The air conditioner in the room was super loud and even louder when I powered off. I let the front desk know my 1st day and 2nd day. They supposedly "checked it out" while we were out but there was no difference. It was me my husband and 2 children in a double queen room. The fridge is half the size of any mini fridge I\'ve had in previous hotel rooms...and there was ONE drawer in the room for all four of us to put our things in. I had called previous to checking in and was told we would be able to use the pool on the day of checkout even after our check out time. The day came and they said we could not. The pool was nothing like the pictures water was green and the decks windows that brought in sunlight were covered for part of our 3 day stay while they were doing some kind of outdoor work. Restaurant had the friendliest manager I\'ve ever spoken to and she tried so hard to be accommodating but unfortunately the restaurant food in the hotel was terrible. The breakfast buffet was decent nothing memorable. I\'ve always stayed at holiday inns and been satisfied I just wanted to try something different this time but I would not stay again.

Disappointed that the elevator was broken and so was the hot tub. The only reason we booked was because of the hot tub, and to get there and the elevator was down on a holiday weekend was very disappointing.

Rooms were clean and updated. Staff was nice, and had a printout available of local bars and restaurants on the counter which was nice. Only real issues with the stay…Only one elevator was working and there must’ve been some sort of bike race the weekend we stayed there. So there were guests taking their bikes in the elevators to their rooms. Understandable…but with only one elevator working had to wait for elevator to go up and come back down 3 times before we could even get on it. Had window open for breeze and was alot of late night noise from people leaving local bars I’m assuming. Not the hotels fault tho. And had an emergency of sorts at hotel around 1:30am because fire truck and ambulance showed up with sirens blaring and lights flashing. Overall I would stay again.

This hotel was very nice. The staff were friendly and it was so clean! However, it was expensive and due to several factors, did not feel worth the $300 nightly expense. The hot tub was closed for maintenance. The Starbucks (on premise) was out of espresso. One of the two elevators was broken and caused 20 plus minute waits to get into the elevator. The bathroom door was a barn style slider and was terribly difficult to maneuver. I hope that next year when we go back to Michigan’s adventure we can enjoy all of the amenities that we pay for in the hefty price tag, because it really is a nice hotel!

Parking exits poorly marked. Parking garage disgusting

The hotel is in the perfect location and was very nice. However, there was a lot of riffraff just hanging around in the parking garage and wandering around in the hotel. They were not staying at the hotel… Just lingering around. Even in the stairwell. If there was security, walking around the parking garage, it would’ve been better.

Clean and comfortable. Had a really nice stay in Muskegon.

Staff are very nice! My only complaints are that the whole first floor smells like cigarette smoke and is attempted to be covered up by air fresheners but thankfully the rest of the hotel smells clean. Are room was tidy but lots of hair on the floor and linens.

Front desk gentleman nice and knowledgeable. Room clean. Kinda smells like they use to smoke in the hotel. Bathroom was decent. Hairs on the shower floor when we arrived. Bathroom could benefit from an exhaust fan. Parking connected and free. Quite a bit to see in walking distance.

We were not impressed. The cleaning crew was loud and annoying. They played loud music and sang well past 7pm. There was medication left on the carpet in the hall in front of the rooms they had cleaned. Our room was ok but there was a bottle cap under tne sink that shoukd have been caught if they had swept the bathroom floor and there were hairs on the clean towels. We were on a staycation and used points for part of the cost. However I still paid over $100 and expected more. At the very least a clean and relaxing space. The man who checked us in was fantastic and really helpful. He was the best part of the hotel in my opinion. Due to the really good location, I hope the owners find room for improvement.

Our room was great. Everything was clean and well taken care of. The food was great nice and fresh breakfast.

Room was clean when we got there. Impossible to rate the cleaning staff, a three night stay and the room was never cleaned. I had to contact the front desk for towels and coffee refills for the next morning. Let the trash stack up it was never picked up either. Not sure if I will be staying there again. For the price of the hotel I expected better.

When you walk in, it’s smelled so nice and the lobby area was so clean. The room was clean however the bathroom had a few garbage items on the floor and the sink was slow to drain and was backed up. Since we only stayed for 2 days it was not worth complaining to anyone about.

Love staying at the Delta when I come home. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Fantastic property. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms and common areas clean.

The room very clean & housekeeping was excellent, I did not like the fridge with the 2hr timer, and would have liked a small microwave to warm coffee or leftovers. Other than that, we had a very good experience. 😊

Only complaint is bed mattress was not comfortable. That might be more of a personal opinion. Very clean and friendly service.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was very nice as well, not too hard. I enjoyed food from the bar and coffee from Starbucks. It was a pleasant place to stay.

Hotel was very clean and updated. Bed was hard as a rock. The restaurant is okay for breakfast but don’t recommend the dinner food.

An average hotel with paper thin walls. The bed was not very comfortable and air conditioning took forever to cool the room down. Bike Time was happening (unbeknownst to us when we booked) and the noise was quite loud from the bikes and crowds, both inside the hotel and out.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel as a family. We love the downtown location. Walking distance to all the great restaurants, museums and parks is a plus! The hotels rooms are updated, the staff is very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the bed/pillows. Even my children were complaining of stiff necks and parents with stiff backs. We have stayed at others hotels and this is our top choice stay in Muskegon.

Room had to be moved because of leaky ceiling. Noisy because of bike week and windows didn’t keep out sound. Outdoor space by pool ugly noisy view. But otherwise nice room and amenities.

The hotel definitely looks excellent on the outside and entrance. However the rooms interior decor does not commensurate the entrance reception look. The room was clean but not detailed clean for what it costs.. 300 on a sat. There are no microwaves in the room! The complentary water bottle was half full yet not opened- must be a manufacturer defect but such little things matters alot. The blind haf no black out curtain only a see through white curtain. This place is heavily overrated for 279 plus tax n feea equaling 300 yet no microwave. Overpriced. If you are gonna be here with children and needs to heat up their food, do ursef a favor and go else where.

Having access to a gym and a pool for early morning exercise was really important. Also, the staff was very responsive and very professional. When I reported that the sink was clogged, maintenance was available to fix it within minutes.

I booked a king. They told me during checking that they overbooked and gave me two beds instead of a king bed. Staff was nice but this was disappointing.

We were double charged for our room.

I made reservations with my bank card many days in advance, then, two days before my scheduled stay, i had my bank account hacked so I had to deactivate my card. Drove 4 hours with 3 kids planning on staying 2 nights we had planned for 1 month. Took out $2k from the bank. I told three people about my situation and yet was turned away. At the hotel we ended up staying at (that took cash), each person behind the front desk as well as the cleaning crew recieved a cash tip. My kids and I would have loved to stay at your hotel, wish you could have accommodated us. Maybe take a look at your no cash policy. I am a graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in Hospitality (Hotel Management)

The staff were wonderful

Staff was quite courteous. However, the process took a long time, as there was only one person at the check-in counter and there was a long line of people waiting to check in.

Walking distance from downtown

This is a very nice hotel. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Property is in very nice condition and the staff members are very helpful and friendly. Walkable to many attractions in the resurgent downtown of Muskegon. Great value and we will return!

We enjoyed our time at Delta. The area is very walkable and has many features. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with great amenities.

Nice hotel, great location

The hotel is in the perfect location and was very nice. However, there was a lot of riffraff just hanging around in the parking garage and wandering around in the hotel. They were not staying at the hotel… Just lingering around. Even in the stairwell. If there was security, walking around the parking garage, it would’ve been better.

The location to the Frauenthal and downtown entertainment is amazing. We stayed here this time last year too. Last year there was an "incident" where the police were called in but was contained to a conference room. This year we returned to find the hotel surrounded by police. I am not sure if this is normal in Muskegon. We did not feel safe and there was no explanation when we asked at the front desk.

Breakfast is not included and the restaurant is expensive. There are better options within walking distance.

The hotel was very clean, check in/out was very easy and Lisa our bartender was attentive and extremely efficient

This was a great location for us to stay while attending a wedding in the area. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff was friendly.

The staff was friendly. The bar was amazing. Best espresso martini! It was nice to have a Starbucks in the lobby in the morning. The room was a little bit industrial and sterile with the decorating, but it was clean.

The hotel itself was nice and clean, not a huge fan of all the extra charges at the bar downstairs. I got charged for a plastic cup with a sticker because it’s for a social zone, got charged extra for the round ice in a drink instead of normal ice and the drink prices don’t really make sense. My shade in the room was broke and there was a giant stain on our floor.
