Nice room, comfy bed, great reception and check-in, good location, reasonably priced. Bar in the lobby is limited, as is food in the hotel lobby restaurant. The restaurant next door is nice but has Downtown Chicago pricing with OK food and drinks (you pay for the location). Parking lot is clean and safe. There is a "stargate" across the street :)

This hotel is in the boonies of a decrepit old waterfront. Come back in ten years or so after the area develops. The room was unusually large, but there was no hot water and the sink drained only VERY slowly. The lamp was right under the thermostat, so you couldn't have both light and reasonable temperature regulation. The WiFi didn't work. There was no back-up door lock (the "flipper" that keeps the door from opening), only a regular door lock. Having said all that, the bistro had a very tasty late evening selection and the waitress was super-friendly. And when I checked out and listed everything that was wrong, they adjusted my bill by a reasonable amount.

Allowed us a super-early check-in with great service and friendliness from the staff. Our room is great with an excellent view. The pool was quite crowded and having one of the hot tubs out of order and the other with jets not working made it worse but stuff happens and I’m sure it’ll get fixed.

Had the perfect room to watch the fireworks display from our balcony. We liked having the two dining options on the property. Enjoyed the view from our balcony. When checking out it was VERY busy and there were no baggage carts available, after waiting for an hour on one. We carried our luggage, cooler, etc to our car.

well it's never fun to show up and find out that the indoor pool and hot tubs are not available. I never would have reserved the room knowing this information. The Lady at the desk did not have a great attitude either. While alternatives for pool existed, not the case with the hot tub which is what we were looking forward to using. The place overall looks aged but we were ok with it.

The pool was gross. Our kids didn’t even want to go in it because it was so murky. Not sure if it was under treated or over treated, but that’s the first time our kids have refused a pool.

Indoor pool drained amd out of commission. We got the room in order to get away and let our young kids go swimming. I wish there was a heads up on the pool before we booked.

The dj for the wedding played till until midnight you could hear every single and even what the dj was playing. Soap scum or like mold in the corners of bathroom walls, and uncomfortable hard beds. Other than that place was nice

The view of the water is beautiful, but I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom had hair on the sink, and smudges around the sink. The toilet did not look cleaned. The ground was sticky and had some sort of residue on it. The inside of the fridge had food spillage. The room also had a very off smell. We were so uncomfortable with the quality of the cleanliness in this room we actually went out and bought a disinfectant spray and wiped down all of the surfaces and sprayed the furniture. It was the only way we would have felt comfortable staying in the room over the next few days. If this weren't a work trip and my company wasn't paying for the hotel I would have switched hotels IMMEDIATELY. Highly unacceptable. I would like for a different hotel with similar views because this one is not worth it.

The food at the restaurant was wonderful. The service was abominable. We waited at least 15 minutes for a server, then a half hour for our drinks. Our food was served and was cold before the wine was served. Our hotel room was fine, but a little dirty. (Hairs and spiders in the bathroom.) For the price, this was not an ideal experience.

Our stay at the Shoreline Hotel was disappointing from start to finish. For $400 a night, I expected at least a comfortable and reliable experience, but what we encountered was far from it. The bathroom had visible mold in the corners, and the wallpaper was peeling in several spots, giving the entire room a neglected feel. Walking through the dimly lit hallways, with their dated fixtures and tired décor, made me joke with my wife that we’d checked into the “Tower of Terror” from Disney—only without the fun ride at the end. Breakfast service was very limited, and even the basics felt poorly handled. The condiments for the in-room coffee were already opened and sitting in a cabinet, which did not inspire confidence in cleanliness. Location-wise, this hotel is not well-supported: Uber is nearly nonexistent in the area, there’s no reliable public transportation, and getting around without your own car is extremely difficult. For the premium price point, there was no significant benefit to justify the cost. Overall, this was a poor experience—one I wouldn’t recommend to anyone visiting Muskegon.

The views were beautiful however, our room was super hot, even with the “ac” going. I felt the rooms were very outdated for the nightly price, and the floor in our room was filthy. The staff were great though and the rest of the hotel looked rather clean as well.

I had a room next to the elevator and it was particularly loud. The shower had multiple hairs in it. Overall the staff was friendly. For the cost I would have rather stayed somewhere less expensive.

Clean comfortable room with two restaurant choices, one in the hotel and another just outside called the Boathouse. The Boathouse was a great place to have dinner and drinks. The hotel also has a nice pool and hot tubs, as well as a store to get any forgotten necessities. Rooms are good size but they need some updating.

I love this hotel. I’ve stayed here 2 times now and will definitely come back. The only thing or really I have 2 complaints, one is the shower pressure. It sucks! And the second thing is, for the price of the hotel, there should be breakfast accommodations but there isn’t. Maybe you should consider it?

The room was spacious, with a nice balcony that we couldn't use because of the weather. Lacking good food options, especially for breakfast, although the person serving was as delightful as can be. Also, the bathroom was large but had a very small sink area. Suggest shelves or a table along a blank, empty wall would help. Barely room for one person's toiletries, let alone 2.0

Staff was extremely attentive to our needs. My wife is paralyzed on the left side and in a wheelchair. We requested a lounge chair and foot stool for her to use in the room and it was delivered immediately. The handicap accessible room is the best layout we have seen and beats other major chains attempts at a handicap accessible room.

The service and amenities were excellent. We tried to check in early, but room with a lake view was not available. We went into town to have lunch, and when returned, we were offered a beautiful lake view room for our honeymoon vacation. All staff members were friendly. We enjoyed the view of the marina and appreciated the cleanliness and timing of our room housekeeping services.

Staff were incredibly rude. Night clerk yelled at me on the phone more than twice. Day clerk also yelled at me. All over our health issues. No empathy no understanding. The rom was dirty- they were out of so many things were out of in the lounge. Will not stay here ever again. Would warn others if they have health concerns this property is not helpful.

Marcus and Demarcus were amazing - they moved our room away from the elevators upon request and without question, and were extremely kind and helpful! The bistro and restaurant are awesome - love the hours for the bistro, too! Ice cream in the gift shop is the best! Beautiful views, lovely decor, and all you could ask for in one location!

Always stay here when in Muskegon. Friendly & helpful staff, views of Muskegon Lake & Marina, Lake House Restaurant just steps away. Downtown Muskegon, with restaurants & bars nearby. Not much shopping available. Grand Haven has more shops & boutiques, but it’s close enough for an afternoon of shopping.

We liked that it was close to the Marina and the Express Ferry to Milwaukee. The staff were great! Check-in was a breeze. We had an issue with our deadbolt lock not working. The staff person came up to the room and looked at it. He put in an order to have it fixed. He told us someone fixed it, but he didn't (I guess that staff person wasn't great). The door was a bit squeaky, also. We had a great dinner at the Lake House and a very nice breakfast experience the next morning at the hotel Bistro.

We had a great stay here. The only thing is there is not much to do (walking) in the area. The downtown shopping was really minimal. We booked this property because it was within walking distance to the downtown. But again there was not much there. The grounds around the hotel is nice and they had a nice restaurant on the grounds (Lake House). The room was small but had everything we needed and was clean.

The a/c was very loud and ran 24/7! Did not sleep well because of the noise. The advertised continental breakfast was nonexistent the first two mornings and was very disappointing the last day! Beautiful hotel and very nice staff!

Overall excellent place. No complimentary breakfast of anykind. The bar is extremely overpriced and not a good beer selecion. Not a fan of pigeon hill. For some reason mone of the local pizza will deliver there...

Nice spacious room, clean and quiet. Good views overlooking the lake and the marina. Staffs are friendly. Opportunities for improvement: breakfast at the bistro is expensive and not very good.
