Hotel is under MAJOR renovation! Lobby is completely torn up. All lobby common areas are closed. No work out room! No one on the hotel staff ever addressed the construction mess or inconvenience. Oh, and by the way they charged us full price… $350.00 a night! Our room had been recently upgraded, so it was nice, but overall experience was not good.

Unfortunately we were there during construction being done to hotel, it was dirty with one elevator for entire place while stairs were out of service. For the price you pay to stay here their guests should be compensated for the inconvenience and dirtiness.

The hotel overall was nice. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. We were very disappointed to arrive at the hotel to discover that the elevators did not work and would not be fixed for 4 days. We had my 77 year old mom with us who has a bad hip ama it was torture for her to go up and down the stairs. It changed everything about our trip as we could not come and go for breaks in between activities because she couldn't go up and down the stairs. So I am very disappointed about that.

I spent double on this hotel but deemed it worthy because it was the holiday,unfortunately their coffee machine broke and they did nothing to resolve it that day. The next day a water main break, so no shower that night, no offer of drinking water. Just seemed like they missed at an opportunity to show their worth. I’ll think twice before staying here for that cost.

Hotel completely torn up for remodeling. No lobby or main entry. Workers everywhere. Entry through side door by pool, just a total mess. Refused any adjustment and just told us we could cancel and find another hotel if we weren’t happy.

I didn't like how on the fourth floor at our balcony it wasn't cleaned and it was molding. Above you could have seen a hole in the roof where birds can fly inside. There was bird poop covering half of the balcony. A bunch of spiderwebs too. Their toilets clogged easily, water overflowing too.

The room size was great, we loved the bunkers for the kids. Given the price point, I would expect better soundproofing. The people above us were so incredibly loud until after 11pm and then again beginning at 5am. It sounded like kids were jumping off of a bunkbed. The bathroom was fine but tiny given the price point. Breakfast was typical mid-range hotel fare. We had a gorgeous view of the water but that view also contains the back of a building and all I the dumpsters. Balcony is very skinny. Plugs were only on one side of the bed.

My only issue I had was the room location itself. Room 204 is right next to the "pantry" which I assume is the housekeeping area. After about 430 AM there was a lot of banging and just loud noises through the wall (which is the same wall that the head of the bed is on). It was also and joined room which normally isn't an issue but the people in the room next to mine were extremely loud as well. Not sure if the walls are very thin or what the issue was but I have never noticed any hotel, as nice as this one, with so much noise. Also one thing to note, the gap between the door and the door frame was quite large, not to where you could see in but this allowed a lot of light and hallway noise in as well. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was extremely clean. Only giving 3 stars total due to the above issues. I believe if I would have had a different room, I wouldn't have had any issues.

This stay was pleasant until the family checked in above our room. The walls were so thin that we could hear every step. The family staying had children who ran about till 10pm and hit the ground running at 6:15am. It would have been a much more pleasant stay if we didn't hear everything with our neighbors.

Beautiful property and you can see Lake Michigan from the hotel. Sunset Park minutes away so we saw beautiful sunsets each day. Absolutely gorgeous and convenient location to downtown, post office, restaurants and many stores nearby.

Everything was wonderful here. Clean, staff was helpful and polite, beds were comfortable and plenty of parking. My issue was the breakfast. When I pay a little extra to stay at the Hampton, I do expect breakfast to be better than what they had. Most of the food, if it wasn't gone, was cold and they ran out of coffee.

The room above ours must have had a jacuzzi that woke us early each morning of our stay plus there was a garbage collection early as well. The coffee was weak. The place was clean.
