I did not like that property was undergoing renovation and offered rooms that were unihabitable. Expedia should require that their clients be notified that a property is going through major repairs and that travelers could find themselves in a room with is dusty, no iron, no ironing board, no coat hangers, no way to regulate the temperature in the room, no hot water in the sink and shower (in metropolitan Detroit in January), no doorknobs in the bathroom, only one staff member on the premises who could take as much as thirty minutes to be present at the front desk who is only able to understand and apologize, and call the manager who does not respond to phone calls. After one terrible night, no one responded to my complaints until I called Expedia and requested a cancellation and refund. This facility should not be allowed to rent rooms that are substandard, dirty and unsafe. It makes Red Roof look bad as well as Expedia.

I didn’t stay as my room was very dirty. No light in the bathroom and bath tub and toilette were dirty. Crumbs all over the carpet. Dusty everywhere. The beds were made but sheets were stained. I couldn’t stay it was gross.

These are one of the CLEANEST rooms I’ve ever been in! Not a single speck of dirt in the whole room, no bugs of any kind, bathroom looked great (a little small, however) it was perfectly clean all around. The bed was super comfortable, I slept like a baby. My only downside was that there’s no mini fridge or microwave — so I had to eat out all weekend, which isn’t a big deal considering the amount of money I saved just by staying here! Check-in was quick and easy! The second night my room key wasn’t working & the kind woman in the office was super quick and helpful to fix it for me. Overall, the room is a little small but it’s very clean and the customer service in the office was great! Will definitely stay here again.

Room was dirty, dog food on the floor, floor looked dusty, sticky, washroom seemed it had not been cleaned at all. White Towels didn’t look clean either. Thankfully we just needed 5 hours to catch a quick sleep before heading back to Chicago. Never again. They need to out more effort in cleanup!

Dirtiest room ive stayed in in a long time. Had to wipe down the chair because it had human scabs on it, the toilet was filthy, the knobs on the ac/heater were broken. Something was growing on the lamp, pretty sure it screamed at me. Some audacity to even think that this was fit for public use. Id be ashamed if I owned this

Terrible experience. I arrived before my family and had to leave before they come because that is not a place to bring them. I arrived at 2am and as soon as I got to my rooms corridor I sense the smell of cigarette and weed. Once I opened my room’s door everything seemed to be okay but when I got to the bathroom I panicked. The tub was covered in hair as if somebody had shaved and left everything there, the toilet surface was stained with dried urine.

Very uncomfortable spring mattresses. Dirty. Smelled bad. Heater/ac from the 70s/80s with the controls faded and wrote on with sharpie. Shower wouldn't adjust the pressure right and there was a loud ringing the whole time you showerd. Comforters we're dirty. You have to walk up stairs with luggage. No elevator. No amenities. Unsafe area. Door didn't lock properly. You can tell people we're living there. I would say it's good just for a night... But that's all I stayed and I couldn't sleep because it was so uncomfortable.

The front office employee when we checked in was kind and helpful. The remote for the TV wouldn’t work. The door looked as if someone tried to kick it in. No ice. The towels shed lint like snow. The lights over the bed were inoperable. I did sleep comfortably tho, which merits an average star.

At check-in, we were surprised to learn that they require a deposit of $50 CASH ONLY. Checking in staff was rude and hinted that we probably have never stayed at hotels to know cash deposits are common and expected in USA! We had no cash with us! There were mosquitos everywhere. People smoking pots till late night next door caused major inconvenience for us. Only positive side is that the rooms were reasonably clean.

I booked through Expedia and because my flight was delayed till the next day the Red Roof in staff REFUSED to change my check-in date to the next day and considered it a cancellation simply for the fact that there was “no manager on duty,” which also a terrible business aspect of this business to not have a manager available in some way to deal with these kinds of situations. Overall, terrible customer service experience from the front desk, customer service, and guest services. I lost money because of the terrible and inadequate customer service relatability of this business. I never received a call from the manager the following day when I asked guest services to specifically notate that in their email on the complaint I filed. I will never book with this company again and will continue to share my feedback with others that ask about the Red Roof inn. Thank you for a terrible experience.

Hotels.com listed free breakfast. They have no breakfast. We also had to pay $50 for "incidentals," which was nowhere mentioned when we registered and paid for room. And they only accepted cash! In the room there was no iron, no ironing board, no coffee maker and no shampoo. They did bring those items though - but we had to ask. Couldn't get the TV to work. We called the desk and were told, "I'll make a note." What??? So no TV. On the positive, the bed was comfortable, but nothing exteaordinary. The shower was OK, but not great pressure. Overall, if I had known, i would have booked somewhere else - even if i had to pay a little more. I'll know for next time - and now you know.

It was a nice hotel. It was outdated but clean. Nowhere to plug a USB. Looks like part of the hotel was for long term renters. It was quiet and served it's purpose. Right behind McDonalds so we could grab coffee and go in the morning.

We pulled up and there were police partially blocking part of the hotel. There was also a big janky yellow bus with black plastic taped on the inside of the windows. Looks like people live in the hotel. Grounds were not clean nor did it appear safe. I was supposed to be able to cancel and the hotel refused to cancel. Expedia refused to cancel. I had ro scramble to find a hotel that would take dogs. And now 2 hotel charges on my card. I think the high reviews are from people.getting a discount to review or people livong thefe. Expedia should be ashamed the even have the hotel lsted. it was def NOT safe or clean.

We did not even check in because property was very neglected. There were men hanging out in the trees. There was a man bringing in his big black dog he had no control over! We felt VERY UNSAFE!! I went in and told them we would not be checking in and my daughter found us a much better hotel.

The lights by the doors were so bright that we couldn't read the numbers on the doors at night. We were not told exactly where our room was, so we wandered around to find it. We did not find it until we walked around the entire property. Too bad there is no breakfast. The safety lock on the door was broken. The shades did not darken the outside lights.

I stayed at this inexpensive hotel for 5 days for work. The first room I got had a sink the dripped and and didn't drain plus the microwave didn't work. However, when I requested a different room, I got one one that was fine. The bed was very comfortable The area was safe and next to MacDonalds were i walked for coffee every morning. I would stay there again for the price
