I missed my flight and quickly found this hotel available. Their shuttle service was excellent and check in was ok. Once I reached the room, light didnot work. I went to the front desk and she said yes that doesnot work only lamps work. And the lamps has no turn on/off switch. You have to really plug it in and out. Room has a mushy smell actually the whole corridor has a smell. Bathroom sink was without a stopper so if you accidentally drop something in it it will gone. The most interesting part was next morning for the breakfast. It says breakfast but under that name there were couple of pouches of oatmeal and two cartons of milk in a small container. Some packed muffins. That was all about the breakfast.

Room was adequate and as expected (although all of bathroom fittings were damaged/old and the light fittings and TV did not work, plus the bed frame had very dangerous metal struts exposed that could skin your shins on). The biggest hassle was waiting for over an hour at the airport (outside in 29F temp) for the shuttle, and having to call 3 times.

Great overnight motel at DTW. Shuttle, fridge, microwave, one or two beds. If you want luxury, go elsewhere. If you want reasonable overnight stay, place is great.

The hotel is old and run down. The person at the front desk was not helpful, or responsive to requests. It really seemed like she did not care at all. I wanted a room upstairs, she said nothing was available. I asked for a room on the ground floor far away from the front desk and she assured me we were far down the hallway. We ended up in the second room down the hall. During the night at least a couple times, I smelled smoke. I am guessing people outside on the sidewalk were smoking. My husband called for a shuttle pick up from the airport. After calling 3x to the front desk and waiting an hour he ended up just taking an Uber. The person at the front desk really didn't care. On the plus side, the hotel was quiet and the bathroom was clean with really good water pressure in the shower. The airport shuttle did show up in the morning, so that was good.

When flying out of DTW Airport I have stayed here several times over the years not the newest but it's friendly staff to keeping ur car there to even a few hour stay it always affordable and comfortable.. and free. Shuttle to Airport.. leave ur car and fly out . And get shuttled to the airport.

The first room I went into the lights didn’t work. I then had to go get a new room where there were crumbs and things all over the floor. The entire room just felt gross. The toilet paper roll wasn’t even on a holder just sitting on the floor. The shuttle to the airport was hard to call both at the airport and hotel.

The price was right, parking was easy, staff very friendly and helpful. We needed an ADA room and it was mostly adequate but it is clear the property is depressed as remodeling was often poorly done, for example, paint splatters in the bathtub. Broken hanging bar sticking out in a way that posed danger to the unwary eyes.

Very dirty. Rude staff. One of staff attempted to get into my room 15 minutes after arrival! Without knocking! Lucky for staff member the hook prevented this idiot from entering and putting my life in danger! The end result would have horrific for them if they had made it inside my private room! Demanding CASH at check in is very odd!! Perhaps they have never heard of debit or credit cards!! The clerk stated if Cash not paid that I could stay elsewhere!! Very bad to spring this on someone that is tired and just wants to sleep! Also telling me that when I check out a 5am that I would have no problem getting my cash back! Sadly, when I checked out at 5am the clerk said the safe is locked and no cash available until 830am. How much cash is in that safe overnight!! Pure stupidity!! I asked what happens if paying customers can’t come back! The clerk said after 7 days money belongs to them! Very shady way of getting a CASH bonus! If this represents travel lodge standards?? I will take the clerks advice and never stay at another travel lodge again!! Definitely avoid any travel lodges in the future!!

Property is being allowed to fall into disrepair. Should probably not be taking bookings for this hotel. The room we were put into had a bedframe too wide for the mattress, leaving sharp metal pieces sticking out at all 4 corners of the bed, but hidden by the bedspread. My husband walked into one of them and gashed his shin. I went to complain, with photos of the frame, and the injury. We were moved to a room across the hall, but not even an apology for the injury. I guess it was good we had our own first aid kit. A refund would be nice, and minimal for the injury.

This hotel definitely needs some rehab/tlc. First off, it's very hard to find/easy to spot, there should be better signs off the road. Second, there was no towels in the room, internet didn't work, holes in sheets, sad looking fridge, basic, old looking microwave & no coffee maker/cups. This was a good stay for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. But if you're picky you may be unhappy. On the plus side, the staff was consistently polity and helpful. However, the room was somewhat chilly. When the heater was off there was a cold draft. I suspect the insulation around the AC unit was lacking. Turning the heater on got the room to a good temperature, but it was kind of noisy throughout the night. The blankets were kind of thin and I was chilly. We showed up for breakfast at 8:30. There was only enough waffle mix for two waffles, and the rest of the breakafast spread was very minimal. One of the staff members checked the waffle mix at 8:45, but didn't bother refilling it. Our key card stopped working and we had to go to the front desk to get it fixed. I noticed the same thing happen to another customer in the few minutes I spent in the lobby, so this must be a frequent occurrence. There were signs of general wear.

I could feel all the springs in the bed, the outside light was blazing into the room and the curtains barely helped, the sink wouldnt drain, there were stains on the bed skirt, the walls are paper thin. Great shuttle service though!

Staff super friendly and helpful upon checkin. Also came down to our room bc TV said “no signal” and we couldn’t make it work. They fixed it. Hallway noise unbelievable. Noisy people in and out of rooms at all hours. The door slammed constantly across the hall bc the deadbolt was popped out for easy coming and going and also loud banging. Each time. No way the hotel could have predicted that. But common courtesy wasn’t a requirement for staying here. Sheesh. Beds fine. Area clean enough. But the big gross part was the tub didn’t drain. Ew. And we didn’t discover it until we went to use it at 4:30 am before our 5:30 am shuttle. Total grossness. We tried and tried and tried to get the tub train plug out to no avail. Also we would love to have breakfast open at 5 am. Instead we had to drop $20 on airport breakfast sandwiches.

It took about five minutes for my husband to walk into one and gash open his leg. I went and asked for a different room, showing a photo of the bed issue, and his leg. We were given a different room, nothing more. Paint is pealing, bathroom fixtures are rusty, for prints on the wall. Looks like travelodge is just looking to shut this one down and move to their new building across the parking lot. Clearly no maintenance, or cleaning going on.

The manager and the staff were all so very nice!! They were so helpful and friendly and always smiling which I love because I feel like that kind of customer service got lost during the pandemic, so thank you to the staff for being so friendly and always smiling!! Definitely deserve raises!

Was never told that I had to make a $100 deposit anywhere on the booking. Tried to give my card and the receptionist was rude and told me cash only. They said “I should know this since it’s Michigan policy,” must be a different Michigan. Mind you the room itself was $54 per night. The lights wouldn’t even turn on, it had a funny smell, you can’t even use the shuttle unless you’re definitely taking a flight at that time and you have to prove it. Very dirty. Rude staff. One of staff attempted to get into my room 15 minutes after arrival! Without knocking! Lucky for staff member the hook prevented this idiot from entering and putting my life in danger! The end result would have horrific for them if they had made it inside my private room! Demanding CASH at check in is very odd!! Perhaps they have never heard of debit or credit cards!! The clerk stated if Cash not paid that I could stay elsewhere!! Very bad to spring this on someone that is tired and just wants to sleep! Also telling me that when I check out a 5am that I would have no problem getting my cash back! Sadly, when I checked out at 5am the clerk said the safe is locked and no cash available until 830am. How much cash is in that safe overnight!! Pure stupidity!! I asked what happens if paying customers can’t come back! The clerk said after 7 days money belongs to them! Very shady way of getting a CASH bonus! If this represents travel lodge standards?? I spent 3 nights at Travelodge and not once did anyone clean my room. I was told by a staff member that in order to close my room door I have to turn the handle on the door then lift the door and push it in to close it. She went ahead to say I cannot change the room because of the door because they are all like that. No water was provided in the room or coffee machine. Service sucks! I will not be returning.

This is the second hotel that we stayed at with Wyndham and frankly, very disappointed. The first room we were given smelled of cigarette smoke (although it was a non-smoking room). We advised the front desk person to check the room but she decided to give us another room. That room we found that the window was open but the air conditioner was not working. Spoke to the desk person and would try to see if turning it off and turning back on would work. It did not and the room was getting warmer. So,again we were given another room. Air conditioner was fine but no chair for the desk, no trash can. Had to manually turn the television on and off because the remote button wasn't working for that function. The carpeting certainly need replacing in rooms and public areas. We will probably avoid Wyndham hotels from now on since it appears they are not making improvements or updating their hotels. Also, this is the only hotel we have ever stayed in that required a cash deposit ($100). I have traveled around the world and never had to give a cash deposit at a hotel or motel. When flying out of DTW Airport I have stayed here several times over the years not the newest but it's friendly staff to keeping ur car there to even a few hour stay it always affordable and comfortable.. and free. Shuttle to Airport.. leave ur car and fly out . And get shuttled to the airport.

I arrived after midnight and was almost afraid to leave my room. The inside space is poorly lit and almost difficult to navigate. I would not recommend traveling to this hotel alone at night as a female. Also the air conditioning unit was broken in my room.

I missed my flight and quickly found this hotel available. Their shuttle service was excellent and check in was ok. Once I reached the room, light didnot work. I went to the front desk and she said yes that doesnot work only lamps work. And the lamps has no turn on/off switch. You have to really plug it in and out. Room has a mushy smell actually the whole corridor has a smell. Bathroom sink was without a stopper so if you accidentally drop something in it it will gone. The most interesting part was next morning for the breakfast. It says breakfast but under that name there were couple of pouches of oatmeal and two cartons of milk in a small container. Some packed muffins. That was all about the breakfast.

This was a good stay for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. But if you're picky you may be unhappy. On the plus side, the staff was consistently polity and helpful. However, the room was somewhat chilly. When the heater was off there was a cold draft. I suspect the insulation around the AC unit was lacking. Turning the heater on got the room to a good temperature, but it was kind of noisy throughout the night. The blankets were kind of thin and I was chilly. We showed up for breakfast at 8:30. There was only enough waffle mix for two waffles, and the rest of the breakafast spread was very minimal. One of the staff members checked the waffle mix at 8:45, but didn't bother refilling it. Our key card stopped working and we had to go to the front desk to get it fixed. I noticed the same thing happen to another customer in the few minutes I spent in the lobby, so this must be a frequent occurrence. There were signs of general wear.

No way the hotel could have predicted that. But common courtesy wasn’t a requirement for staying here. Sheesh. Beds fine. Area clean enough. But the big gross part was the tub didn’t drain. Ew.
