Super 8 by Wyndham Bemidji MN

Megan arranged the accommodations so we wouldn't have to walk up the stairs (room was on the 2nd floor, and no elevator) however we had to change from 2 queens to 2 doubles. Room was clean, beds and pillows very comfortable. I was concerned about noise (road and right across from breakfast room), however it was very quiet. Breakfast was eggs, sausage gravy & biscuits, waffles, cereal, coffee, juices, 3 different fruit cups. There is also a wide variety of teas and coffee in the lobby. We would stay here again. Would like to see them have queen beds on the first floor.

Key would not work to get into building two nights in a row, the part of the hotel we stayed in is not attached to the main part is was located on the other side of the parking lot.

Overall good stay. People friendly. Only down note was no elevator.

Key card would not open the building I was assigned to. I was given a physical key to open the door. There was toothpaste spital in the bathroom sink.

This property is very run down, staff was not helpful. No air conditioning in hallways, no elevators. Had to change rooms as air conditioning did not work

After driving 12 hours, I just want quick checkin, not bubbly conversation. Dean did that. Bemidji has terrible road noise, so our room in back building was great. Card reader not great. Reading other complaints, I wasn’t surprised when card didn’t work. So I pushed card up and down hard twice, and green light came on. Same with outside door on other end. Management really has to tweak the readers. Room had large relaxer chair that was covered with crumbs and only one nightstand. Would of much preferred smaller chair and two nightstands for eyeglasses. Breakfast was ok.

Extremely clean! The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The breakfast was so so but the coffee was great! The bathroom door didn't latch and the faucet was hard to pull to start the water flowing. We were on the 2nd floor of the annex building, and there was no elevator! We had to schlep our bags up the stairs. Also, the key card didn't work on the door to get into the building, but they gave us a hard key to use. Overall a pleasant stay.

People were smoking outside the building(not 30ft away) when we arrived. No elevator to accommodate 2nd floor room. Odd smells throughout the hotel. Our room was a little outdated, but worked. Breakfast was in a small area, and there was not enough room for everyone and it was very warm in the breakfast area.

No elevators…Build before code and “Grandfathered in.”

I'm baffled that this hotel was rated 8.0. Desk employee at check in was surly and unwelcoming. Common areas were dirty. Room seemed to be clean but bedspread was stained. Internet was extremely slow.

They wanted me to pay the same fee that was paid 2 months prior at check in. They stated they didn’t have the payment until I pulled up the receipt and they magically found the payment. The bathroom floors looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in months. The card reader for the exterior door didn’t like to read the card so it had to inserted multiple times before it decided to unlock

The front desk staff were very friendly and easy to work with. The room we stayed in was very dirty, mold growing on thd walls and the odor was disgusting. The outside of the property was also run down and unmaintained. As i walked down the hallway, the rooms were filled with multiple minority families living in the rooms.

It's a Super 8, so i wasn't expecting much. However, I do expect a clean room. When we walked into our room, we were greeted with a strong musty smell, so we turn on the AC thinking maybe it would filter the air a little. It helped, but was so loud you couldn't hear the TV. The tub surround had mold all around where it met the tub, an the floor could have used a good mopping with CLEAN water. I do think the sheets were clean. Our son's room was basically in the same condition, only the flip lock was broken off his door. His theory was, someone kicked in the door at some point in time and the hotel never fixed the lock. The desk clerk did his job, but was not the friendliest. I do not recommend this hotel.

The carpet has stains and the room smelled like smoke

The room was dirty. I needed clean sheets as there were unknown stains on " fresh" sheets. The room was very musty. And my dog found an old rawhide chew that

I will never return to a Super 8. It was filthy. The air conditioner was so loud and did not cool the room. There were permanent stains on the carpet. The dining room for breakfast was unfit to eat in.

Two out of the four lamps in the room were broken and did not work. The bathtub dripped loudly all night, long and all day long. There was mold on the ceiling above the bathtub that they had tried to cover up with paint. I work in the paint industry was very evident that that’s what they had tried to do.

It was very clean for an older motel, staff was pleasant, and very clean

The amount of stains and filth on the floor and furniture almost made us walk right out. The bathroom had hair from the previous guest(s). It was not kept up and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone else.

Just noisy guests most of the night so not a good night sleep

Room was depressing bedspread dark gold,carpet dark brown, drapes orange, furniture dark brown, entire hote l extremely out dated. Would not recommend

The air conditioning vent was loud and made it difficult to sleep.

The room was comfortable and had very nice beds. The staff should have been a little more friendly and welcoming. At 8:15 in the morning, the hot food for the continental breakfast was gone. The attendant said he didn't have time to refill it. He could have at least restocked the cold or grab and go items. There was almost nothing left. The breakfast went until 9:00.

Bed was so uncomfortable that i slept in the recliner chair and that was still bad. Almost slept on the floor or in my car. Location was good. Staff was nice

First impression was not very good, but room itself was great. Most comfortable bed my wife and I have ever had in any hotel.

There was a door leading outside downstairs from our room. People were coming in and out all night. It did not stop till after three in the morning. On top of that, the cleaning crew was incredibly loud opening and shutting all the doors to the room. The walls at this hotel are paper thin. We had my nephews memorial the next day and myself, wife and kids were all tired from being up all night. I called the front desk and nothing was resolved. The woman who checked me in was excellent regarding customer service, very friendly and polite. But she was the only one there and clearly had more work than she could handle. My checking took me more than 20 minutes because of issues with the people in from y of me. You need to hire more people and stop taking advantage of employees like the woman who checked me in. She was awesome but it is clear that this hotel would just like to overwork people. I will never recommend staying here to anyone.

You pay for what you get, and with limited options on a holiday weekend this hotel stay was priced for what we got. The front desk service was slow and they did not have a room available for us at the check-in time. We had to wait around 15 minutes while the front desk worker continually called housekeeping to see what rooms were cleaned. We were asked if we had “other plans” and that we should go do them until they had a room ready. It took multiple attempts to confirm that there would be a front desk worker available if we came back later in the evening. When we checked back in at 10pm we finally got our key and were told to go to a different building. The new building had a foul odor in the entry and hallways. The carpet in our room was grimy feeling. The bathroom was not stocked completely with shampoo and soap. Luckily we brought our own so it wasn’t an issue for us, but it may be for others. The room had an A/C unit but was loud and rattling throughout the night. Overall it was not a pleasant experience I highly recommend looking elsewhere unless you are booking on short-notice like our party was.

I had booked two rooms with this property, one of which was supposed to be a suite. I arrived at 3pm to check in and I could only get the 2 queen bedroom until the other was cleaned. I go back to front desk one hour later only to find out there were no more suites and I wasn’t getting one after I booked it the day prior. How does a website not know it wouldn’t have a certain accommodation type? Lady was talking in circle and was very hard to follow. I was also supposed to receive a discount with onekey cash and I paid full price for both rooms at the original time of checking in. The lady acted like me getting a standard room was an upgrade and no other fees would be charged. Lady had a hard time speaking English. I don’t find this place to be clean either and is very outdated. I am disappointed with my stay and won’t be coming back and I absolutely don’t recommend this place to stay at. Lots of noise being close to highway as well.

The front desk attendant was on the phone the whole time, was very dismissive and extremely rude. TV was broken, Fridge door wouldn't stay shut, huge green flashing light on ceiling, half the lights didn't work, bathtub was extremely slippery and did not drain.

Staff didn’t know what was going on…the bathroom was dirty, the bed sheets had stains on them. Access doors were not usable. There were gaps open to outside around the AC unit. The front lobby was very dirty and nothing had been vacuumed or swept. And then to top it off, we were checked in under someone else’s name……even after giving the woman on the front desk, our I.D. What an absolute mess…….will NEVER stay at a Motel 8 again. The worst place we have EVER stayed at.

I had an early morning flight. Uber and taxis are scarce at that time. The front desk called the manager and she came in early to drop me off. Now that’s service above and beyond!

Kind helpful friendly staff

Our door didn't lock on the outside, but did on the inside using the deadbolt and safety lock. They made us move upstairs with no elevator and offered no help. Our tv went black after 3 minutes. There were stains on the floor. The lamp shades were cracked. The hallway was filthy and so were the stairs. The room smelled musty. The desk chair fabric was cracked and peeling in chunks. The staff wore airpods and were talking on the phone while taking care of our registration.

No communication with guests during extremely severe weather. Power outage and no follow-up on if anyone needed assistance. No staff present during or after severe weather and power outage.

Nice location. Some road noise but not bad.

This was right! Next door to a Starbucks. I loved that I could walk 10 feet and get my morning Joe! The location was very nice. Stores and restaurants around. Downtown was only 10 minute or so drive. The staff were really nice. The parking lot was clean as was the room. The breakfast was a traditional continental and it was hot. I would stay here again.

We have stayed here a few times this past year. The staff have always been friendly, helpful and easy to find! The location is in a busy area which is both a pro and a con....really close to restaurants and stores if you don't feel like driving but also not a relaxing outdoor atmosphere. Inside is showing a little wear/age but always clean! We realize we could have beautiful lake views from some of the newer/larger chains in town, but for the price, when we considered how much time we are actually in the hotel room, Super 8 is the choice for us.

It was clean, quiet, the water was hot for showering, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and plentiful. What more could you want from a motel ???

Best Super 8 I’ve ever stayed at. They had breakfast, eggs sausage waffles. Space was small and crowded so we ate in the lobby but staff kept up with restocking. Staff very friendly. Room clean and comfortable, well maintained although did have a 1990’s vibe, nothing looked worn or tattered. Beds comfortable, towels thin but they gave us four. We didn’t use, but the guest laundry room looked nice

Continental breakfast was clearly done with minimum effort. What if you don't like biscuits and gravy the scrambled eggs were cold and half filled with water Wednesday. Slices of some type of white bread. That's it no bagels English muffins etc. The fridge had a gallon of milk for the cereal and that's it. No yogurt etc.Why did they bother.

On arrival, the property appeared clean, if dated. Front desk clerk (FDC) was professional and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. A floor lamp did not have a bulb in it and a desk lamp did not work. FDC sent a very pleasant and friendly young man with a new bulb. The floor lamp worked for awhile but started flickering. The young man found the desk lamp unplugged. He plugged it back in. It worked, for awhile. It then started flickering. We now know why the bulb was removed from one and the other was unplugged. This left us with only one source of light. The bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. The next morning we went to have breakfast at the hotel. The time was 8:30 and breakfast was supposed to end at 9:00. When we saw the breakfast area, we almost walked out right then. The place was filthy! There were crumbs all over the counters and the floor. There was absolutely no food to be seen! There no food in the warmers, there was no cereal. There was no bread or pastries! When I say there was nothing, i mean it! Again, breakfast was advertised as ending at 9:00 and this was 8:30! My wife says even if there had been food, she would not have eaten because of the lack of cleanliness.

Breakfast was basically nonexistent

Only thing I would recommend is water in the breakfast bar. I had to walk to the workout room for a cup of water. Also, the kitchen ran out of food and plates before 8:30! There was another hour of serving! The food was okay though. (What was available)

Convenient location. Lots of dining options near by. breakfast provided but they should consider having yogurt available. Eggs ran out early and would not be available for at least 20 minutes. Staff to monitor often to negate such an inconvenience.

are room was ok. the bed was not the best the pillow were not the best. the final was breakfast. were out of the eggs and biscuits and the counter had food all over it. the coffee was maybe black water.
