It was fine. The pool is SMALL. Can only fit 18 people. There were very minimal guests. No towels at the pool in the morning but there was a half eaten slice of pizza on the table. The room we got was huge, so that was awesome! The breakfast was decent. Could use a new showerhead in the tub. It leaked all over. The beds were pretty good. No elevator. Which would have made a difference when I booked. Our family of 5 comes with a lot of stuff and it was a pain to lug it up the stairs. The hotel is in a good central location.

This place needs some updating. Pool is small and really cold. The food was fair. Waffles, off brand cereal and biscuits and gravy. It was a place to sleep. For the price paid, i feel it was high considering the condition of property.

The staff was very friendly, and did their best to be helpful. The pool is tiny, and the water was cloudy. No spa/hot tub. The pool area had a strange metallic smell. Photo of pool area on website does not appear to be actual photo of this location's. Some strong and unpleasant odors, mostly in hallways. Room seemed to be at least partially redone not too long ago, and were nice looking. Three of the four lamps in the room did not work- two of them because there were no light bulbs in the sockets. Staff did get two of the lamps working for us when we let them know. I did appreciate the Dove toiletries, and that the fridge and microwave were clean and functional. It was also relatively quiet, even though it appeared to be a busy weekend. Please note: pets are (or have been) allowed here (may account for some of the odors) and there is not an elevator in the property, which is two stories. All in all, not the worst hotel I've experienced, but not what I would expect for the price we paid.

We had a great night. Thank you! Our only complaint. The pool was freezing. My kids could only handle swimming for barely 30 mins and they came out purple and shivering. We wanted to swim in the morning but all 3 said no. It's too cold.

It’s an old hotel (no elevator- just fyi). Pool is tiny and not great looking (as far as water quality). Breakfast had 3 types of cereal, peach yogurt, a couple slices of toast and waffle machine in which there was no syrup left at 9. They were very slow to restock and even take the garbage out that seemed to be overflowing. The place was also a mess (not to their fault necessarily), cereal spilt garbage on the floor (which people should have cleaned up behind themselves but they didn’t and the workers didn’t seem to care to come pick it up either). The room itself (we had 2 queen beds) was fine. It was clean and had a fridge and microwave. I probably wouldn’t stay here again as there are nicer places for similar cost but it’s not the worst. Ohh no hot tub, which I knew from the amenities break down but just be warned …

The room we had was noisy from the room next to us and from above. Not sure anything could help with that. The parking lot has a lot of holes and broken up asphalt which was especially concerning to us seniors, one using a cane. Even though the rooms are older and were in need of some painting, we were comfortable there. Clean and tidy when we got there. One thing you should consider is hand rails in the tub/showers. Since there are only several handicap rooms, that would make the accessing of bathing safer when older folks stay in a regular room.

Overall was pleased. Quiet inside and staff was nice. Area seemed safe and wasn’t worried about parking outside like some hotels I’ve stayed at. Staff was nice and allowed us to switch rooms, when first one had a cigarette odor. Next room was great. Only thing I was sad about was pool was closed indefinitely, so check before you go if you want to swim. Was a bummer for the kids

This was quite possibly the dirtiest hotel I have EVER stayed in! The carpets in the halls and in the rooms were tore up, stained and dirty. The walls looked like they’ve never been wiped down… dirty handprints on the walls, boogers on the wall in the bathroom, handprints on the headboard. There was a hairball under the sink and mold in the sink. The shower head was so corroded and gunky that I felt dirtier getting out than getting in. The eggs at breakfast were very discolored. And, the whole place smelled like pot and pickles. Ewww!!!

There was a very noticeable odor upon walking through the doors. Desk staff very pleasant & helpful. Hallway carpets very worn. Mold in BR( so no shower), AC fan was very loud, as were hallways.

Easily the worst continental breakfast I have ever had and I do not have high expectations for an included breakfast. All bread, bagels, English muffins were stale, coffee was undrinkable (and I can drink some bad coffee), not one piece of fresh fruit to be found. Whenever possible, we have chosen AmInn for the past 20 years but this will be the last time.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness didn’t hit the mark for us at this property. The common hallways and stairs didn’t look as though they had been vacuumed in a long time. Upon arrival, the building had a strong odor of weed. The 2nd floor ice machine was gross. The room was averagely cleaned. I did not use the blankets at all as they were stained. Found garbage from a previous guest still in our room. Overall, I truly feel the staff were trying, but it just missed the mark. The staff working the breakfast were also trying to man the front desk. I believe they were running short staffed. I don’t want to drag them too much as they were very accommodating to our large sports team family. I feel they are right on the cusp…some improvements and it could be a nice property. However, on the flip slide, if it continues down this path…it could be considered a dump in no time. The breakfast was low average. Please note the pool area was nice, however, the pool is VERY small. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

Light fixtures older, left my plugin charger. The lamps not equipped with cord plug ins. The TV had to use my own Netflix account to watch TV. Room was clean but they didn’t change to TP or add another roll.

Breakfast was fresh. Coffee was kept full. Individual rooms were clean. TV/internet cable did not work properly for 2 days. It would turn off every 3-5 minutes, show a warning "weak or low signal, Check antenna cable connection" for 2-3 minutes, then turn back on. I informed management, they tried for a bit, but never got it working correctly. I did let them know that it still didn't work on second day too. Other lodgers said they had the same problem, so I couldn't change rooms. I was told that the rate would be adjusted or compensated. I was informed when I checked out that the Manager was unavailable until after 11:00 am. I was told only he was authorized to do that. I was unable to stay to speak with him, so it didn't happen. Also, Carpet was sticky, with dirty dark stains in common areas. A nasty bloody looking tissue was in the corner of the main stairs going up from lobby for two days. I would not stay again.

Microwave didn’t work in the room. Front desk staff was nit helpful and didn’t seem to care much. My daughter fell in the slippery entry way and the front desk staff just said, “oh” no apology, didn’t check on her- very poor customer service.

Overall it was a good stay. The only issues we had was that our “peep hole” didn’t have a covering so someone could see into our room. Easy fix with some paper towel. The walls are extremely thin, unfortunately we had some very loud people above us that kept us from being able to sleep.

We stayed at Americann Inn because girlfriend had surgery at The hospital right away next morning. The gentleman who was working that sunday was very polite and helpful when we needed extra towels for our room and apologize because the tv.didnt worked.He came in and got it going after saying sorry about this happening. If we need to stay in Burnsville again we will stay there again

I was charged twice for my room. Once by the hotel and once by orbitz, the third party through which I found the hotel room. When I went to the front desk the next morning to find a solution, I was told that I needed to contact my bank. When I said I don’t think contacting the bank would do anything because the hotel directly owes me a refund, she printed and handed me a receipt. I asked what the receipt was for and she said, “do you see the last four digits of your card number on here anywhere?” (I guess orbitz pays for the room with their own card numbers) When I pointed out that yes, I did, and showed her where my card number was listed she told me she had to call the guy who checked me in the night before. He didn’t answer. So now I am waiting for a call back to determine what the next steps are. I was told several times “ma’am, I don’t know what you want me to do” despite showing my bank register that I was double charged by two parties for the same room. I was being very clear and calm when explaining the situation so it’s disheartening to be treated as though they do not appear to have any urgency in assisting in a problem they created. This has happened to me twice now at this hotel & I will not be booking through either site in the future. The room was fine, the hotel/bathrooms/building grounds are clean. I booked a stay here for 2 double beds. We arrived after my daughter’s dance competition at 9:15pm. We had to wait at the front desk for someone for 15 minutes. They had a sign to push the button-I did multiple times. Then I get told due to a water leak my room was not available. The next option was to upgrade us to a king room and roll away bed, we had 2 children with us. It was late at night with overtired children and I did not want to look around for another hotel. So 3 of us crammed into a king bed and one slept on the cot. I spoke to the front desk again at checkout asking if I could be refunded atleast partially due to the inconvenience. I was told to contact Expedia as I paid and booked through them in advance. Then the hotel refused to refund at all, even when contacted again by Expedia.

It was fine. The pool is SMALL. Can only fit 18 people. There were very minimal guests. No towels at the pool in the morning but there was a half eaten slice of pizza on the table. The room we got was huge, so that was awesome! The breakfast was decent. Could use a new showerhead in the tub. It leaked all over. The beds were pretty good. No elevator. Which would have made a difference when I booked. Our family of 5 comes with a lot of stuff and it was a pain to lug it up the stairs. The hotel is in a good central location.

When we checked in, it was obvious someone had smoked in that room so we got another room. This room was having repairs being done in the bathroom. Used soap in the shower. Hairball in the bed. Carpet was fraying. Main hotel areas smelled like smoke and something odd. Easily the worst continental breakfast I have ever had and I do not have high expectations for an included breakfast. All bread, bagels, English muffins were stale, coffee was undrinkable (and I can drink some bad coffee), not one piece of fresh fruit to be found. Whenever possible, we have chosen AmInn for the past 20 years but this will be the last time.

The room was clean and tidy. Everything worked well. The hallways and stairs need some serious updating with some new carpet and paint. The far back staircase has two spongy steps that need to be repaired before someone goes through them. Breakfast was great. The staff was great. The hotel is good, overall, and I would have no problems staying here again.
