You get a lot for your money. Free buffet dinner and complimentary drinks were a huge plus having just arrived from the airport and not wanting to leave again. The rest of our family trickled in at different times and were still able to eat at the restaurant downstairs. Spacious rooms with a living area, pool/hot tub, great breakfast. Will definitely make a point to stay at other Drury hotels. Very comfortable.

The staff was welcoming and pleasant. The room was clean, and the dining area was lovely. On a five night day requested house cleaning once was out of the room for over 12 hours and the housekeeping did not happen. I was told that I could come down to the desk to pick up towels and toilet paper if I wanted it. The parking lot wasn’t great if you get back later at night (10pm) there wasn’t a spot and I had to park on the street even though I paid for parking and then I got followed in by two random guys. Luckily the front desk was keeping an eye on it and it appeared to have someone go deal with it. Overall, I liked my stay in the facilities and the people who worked there. But for how expensive it was, I was disappointed at the broken laundry room, the parking issues, and the inability to get the housekeeping done for a long stay. I would give this place another chance. Although I definitely wouldn’t count on the laundry facilities working.

Of all hotels I’ve stayed at in the twin cities, I find it very hard to beat this one if you’re looking for a great experience for your money. The property is very clean, we feel very safe without being in an inconvenient location, and we were very comfortable in our room. All of the staff we interacted with were attentive and friendly. For the price, having all of the above, plus free breakfast, free pseudo dinner & drinks service, a clean pool and hot tub, AND free parking, I doubt you will find anything comparable! VERY highly recommend!!

Excellent stay! Great free kick back food and drinks. Very nice and clean hotel. Nice pool and hot tub. Pool area closed at 10:00 p.m. Pool should stay open later. The only complaint we had was that one of our comforters was dirty. Had two stains on it that looked like blood or marker.

Couldn't use the pool or hot tub. several birthday parties with young children not staying at the hotel. At one point, there were 11 children and 6 adults in the hot tub, and upwards of 25 kids in the pool. Spent a lot of money to use the advertised amenities, and then couldn't was not ideal.

On the upside, the breakfast and dinner offerings were convenient when traveling with children. However, I was disappointed to find the very uncomfortable sofa bed full of popcorn seeds and the reclining chair smelled of urine. A pair of sunglasses was also visible underneath the chair, which made me wonder when the room was last cleaned.

We stayed here the year before, and thought it was great, but we thought it had slipped in one or two areas. The good; room size and comfort, friendly and helpful staff, excellent and abundant breakfasts. The cleanliness was the main issue. The halls seemed to collect debris (popcorn, napkins, etc.) that remained there for several days. While the rooms and elevators were nominally clean, a lot of “stuff” seemed to collect in corners and around door jams. Ir seems like the hotel cleaning staff needs better vacuum cleaners. If there wasn’t so much flotsam and jetsum throughout the halls and rooms, I woukd have given the hotel 5 stars.

Front desk staff were great. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Meals, snacks etc were excellent. Housekeeping was weak. Only stopped in twice over a five night stay. We were constantly calling the front desk for fresh towels.

The hotel was beautiful. The check in staff and others we met were stellar. Parking was easy and the extras like evening drinks, snacks and great breakfast were very nice. The fridge is small but cold. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and it was easy to control the temp. We couldn't get the fan to run contiously for white noise, but the hotel was very quiet, so noise wasn't an issue. Our room was nice as long as you didn't look down. The carpet, coffee table and chair were dirty. The full length mirror was covered with very low smears. The couch was not assembled correctly. It was disappointing and sadly made you question what else wasn't clean. We were on the 3rd floor so the grime wasn't from dirty shoes.

I love almost everything about the Drury Plaza hotel - except it seems impossible to get the room serviced. I have stayed here multiple times. Some times we get a letter under the door by 830am Sunday saying sorry we can’t do the room because you have the do not disturb sign out. Other times, nothing, but we come back to the room at 5pm and it’s not done. Still other times the towels are changed and nothing else is done. I recognize the same staff at the desk and in the breakfast buffet, but they just must not have enough housekeeping staff. For such a good hotel the housekeeping is sadly lacking

Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic. We booked a King Suite and really liked the way the room was set up. One thing I personally did not care for was the doors on rollers for the bathroom and the bedroom. Moreso the bathroom door as it does not provide the very good privacy.

Everything was great except our room did not have a bathtub so we could give our child a bath. The staff informed us that no rooms in the hotel had bathtubs, and I did confirm this on the hotel website. However, hotels.com lists not only pics, but rooms advertised with tubs on the website. So not an issue with the Drury Plaza, more hotels.com did not have proper information on the booking site.
Everything was great except our room did not have a bathtub so we could give our child a bath. First time to St. Paul/ Minneapolis for the 3 of us (10 year old, husband and myself). We stayed for 4 nights and we loved it and would stay there again. Great location close to a lot of things and super close on I-94. The bathroom door is a sliding door and if you very big on 100% privacy this might not be for you, as there are small gaps between the frame and door, we just closed the other sliding door if someone needed some extra privacy. One of the sliding door were of the hinges and they fixed it shortly after we reported it. Staff is amazing, everyone is working hard and very friendly. Hotel is very clean, breakfast and afternoon snack/ meal is great and plenty to pick from. We went to the pool and hot tub a few times and enjoyed relaxing after a day of shopping. There are parking fees which I think are reasonable being in a bigger city also 24/7 surveillance, but there is parking on the street as well. The mattresses were too soft for my liking but the other two slept great, so personal preference. I really liked the small living room space with the desk, chair and sofa, gave us plenty of room to spread out, overall a very good hotel for the price.

Beds were comfortable and the shower was great. All the staff was friendly. They offer a very good selection of hot and cold breakfast items. They also give you free drinks at 5:30 with appetizers that you really could make into a meal if necessary. The staff was always refilling and cleaning up. The pool looked great but I really didn't ge the chance to use it, but many guests did. For dinner there is a wonderful sports pub called "Bulldog" just about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Offers great food and a variety of beers. I would stay here again for sure.

From the minute we walked in, the service, professionalism and friendliness was very noticeable. I think every single employee greeted us like we were the only ones there. And we weren’t. They were full due to a music festival but the breakfast was always stocked and we even got 3 free drinks from 5:30-7:00 every night. The employees were fantastic. Truly never had such friendly people at any other hotels where we’ve stayed. The fitness center was top notch with lots of equipment and it was also very clean. If we go back to St Paul we will be staying here.

Pros: amazing room, amazing breakfast. Especially great service by Shelly at breakfast. The lady making pancakes was great too! Cons: Female bartender should not be in service. We've been coming to St. Paul for a while, tried a number of hotels, and this was a surprising gem. Staff were fantastic and really seemed to like working there. We'll be back--100%!

Too many people so i was trying to be patient. I got in late and was exhausted after a 4 hour drive. I got a ton of attitude from Jackson but assumed the hotel was busy and probably dealt with a lot. Missed out on my drink vouchers but wasn't really explained the kick back area and all. The next day Justice turned it around a bit but i was told I'd d get a call back about it. Never did. Later that day, I wanted to ask about it all, and sure enougg i got Jackson and my buddy that was with me mentioned that he just had an attitude with me and seemed jusr stans offish from the beginning. Wasnt apologetix or even seem like they gave a damn. I know he knows who I am and that sucks because theres a bartender with glasses that made one of the better old fashioneds ive ever had. Unfortunately, I do not have specific names. My stay was 6/20/24 - 6/22/24 When I first checked in, I swiped my key card and the indicator turned green but the door would not open. I returned to the front desk after several attempts. The gentleman at the desk who was assisting me checked with a manager who told him I should go back and push the handle down harder. The man at the desk would not have it. He got someone to watch his post, escorted me to my room, and confirmed the problem. He immediately got me a new room and contacted maintenance. The woman serving at the bar on the evening of 6/21 was efficient friendly and helpful. She noticed that the woman working at the desk was struggling and checked in with her to make sure all was well. One of the gentleman working in the buffet area seemingly for the entire weekend was similarly friendly and helpful and made sure that my daughter and I were well attended to. I encountered many other staff members being extremely helpful to guests. I think that they were short on staff as is pretty normal in the industry, everyone seemed to just fill-in, help out, and make sure the guests were well cared for. Excellent, excellent staff at this hotel.

We were so pleasantly surprised with the amenities included in our stay (breakfast & light supper/drinks). The large lobby & common area was inviting, the hotel is fresh, awesome staff and a nice room. Our room had separate sitting & sleeping rooms with the bathroom in between. We were walking distance from Xcel Energy Centre and many local sights. It’s also only a couple blocks from a green line train direct to Minneapolis. Highly recommend!

Overall, it's a good hotel but I wouldn't choose to stay there again. It's clean, the rooms are nice, and it's conveniently located in downtown St. Paul. I was looking for a hotel that was within walking distance of Xcel Energy Center and this is less than a mile. The area, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Walking back at 10 pm was an adventure down poorly lit roads with lots of addicts and unhoused individuals. While we stayed safe, there were definitely some moments where we were approached by groups of people wanting money and we felt unsafe. Driving through the area at night is similar as many of the same people are wandering, sitting, or standing in the middle of the street. I sat through three lights at one point because I was unable to get around the people standing in front of the car. This isn't the hotel's fault but it's something to be aware of. What I didn't like about the hotel is that they charge for parking but don't have enough parking available. The first night I found a spot but then got blocked in by another guest because they just parked in the middle of the lot. The second night, even the fire lanes were full of parked cars and I had to park 2 blocks over. The only other issue was trying to get food for breakfast. As soon as they refilled any of the hot food, it was gone. They could not keep up with the demand so I ended up eating elsewhere. It's a lot of money to pay to not be able to use what you're paying for.

We loved our stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel-Downtown St. Paul & will be back!! The hotel decor/design was casual modern (lots of comfy lounging spaces) and set within a historic/old building. Our room was great! Double queen suite…we stayed 2 nights. 2nd floor, so we had the pretty stone arched windows. Safe environment & surrounding area. Very nice, friendly staff (everyone was so pleasant even though it was busy). We walked to the Palace Theatre at 8:30pm (Aug) and walked home from the concert (Charley Crockett!) at 11ish and felt safe for the most part. One of the biggest bonuses of staying at the Drury were the free dinners! (& free drink at Happy Hour, if you drink.) We splurged on lunch on the town, but ate dinner at the hotel both nights. The food was pretty good…as were the breakfasts! A lot of options and again, very nice & pleasant staff. Saved our family at least $200. For us, that more than made up the $15 cost of parking! Simple safety tip: know where the stairs are in relation to your room. And know which elevator you take (as when you take the other one, you can get slightly turned around. NBD but the stairs is important (fire safety gal here!)

Beautiful hotel, easy check in, safe area. Only downside was it was quite busy for the kick back so a different side or entree was empty each time I went back up. Kids loved the pool. If a Drury is available in the city I'm staying in, it's the obvious choice!!!

Very nice hotel. Staff is friendly and very accomodating. We had 2 meals there- First one was meatballs, mashed potatoes, salad, soup, green beans. It was good quality food too. Real plates and silverwear. The other meal we had was breakfast. Eggs, sausage, fried potatoes. They also had fruit, pancakes, oatmeal, waffles, and cereal. It was a good "spread" for both meals definitely not like normal hotel food. They also gave me a card for 3 free drinks I didnt get a chance to use it. The room was spacious and had plenty of room for me and my 2 daughters for 2 nights. We will be going back for sure.
