InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront by IHG

Our river view room was lovely! Staff was ever helpful and I really appreciated the cafe downstairs for a morning coffee and a walk across the bridge. Everything was accessible from where we were in downtown St. Paul. I would love to come back and stay here next time I am in the Twin Cities.

There was no bar in the room as far as I could tell. Front desk staff was very friendly. I did the valet parking, so yes, it was easy and they were quick getting my car when I checked out. Very pleasant stay. The bed was really comfortable. The room was nice and quiet.

Upon arriving at the hotel it was a surprise to find there was no self parking available, no parking garage. Valet parking was the only available on site parking. Very confusing at first so driving around in busy traffic and rainfall with a busy pull up to hotel. I did not see any information about the lack of a parking garage in the hotel information to create awareness. Once in the process valet assistance was great. Our check in was smooth but arriving in our room we found a room so small in the corner of the floor we were assigned to. Our biggest issue was the inability to change the room temperature. There was a thermostat control on the wall but it attempting to change the temperature was useless. We left for the evening and came back late so we did not feel we could call front desk for maintenance assistance. Some people may not mind sleeping with temperatures in the mid 70 degrees, but sleep was almost impossible for us who like to sleep cooler. Made for a miserable night.
