Super 8 by Wyndham Lees Summit

It was an ok stay. One night, the police woke up the whole hotel looking for someone. Banging on doors in the middle of the night is not for the faint of heart. Also, breakfast wasn’t that great. Coffee sucked. And, no elevator. Cost more to stay on first floor. Weird. The location was great.

Hot water pressure was garbage for the sink, there were pee stains on the toilet seat, chemicals floating on the surface of the pool water, the ac didnt work all that well, and my streaming device wasnt able to connect to the wifi.

Moderately priced, this property is clean and well maintained. The concrete parking lot is cracked, but I only cared about the interior condition. Right off of the freeway and main Lee Summit arteries, but very quiet. An Aldi next door and restaurants within walking distance. For a stay in Lees Summit, this is a good choice.

This property needs an immediate remodel. The parking lot pavement is dangerous for walking and driving. There were people hanging outside behind the building at all times of the day and night so I didn’t feel safe. The owner of the property has a bad temper, especially towards people of color. My hotel room was busted up. The shower had holes in the walls. The sink counter was falling off. Out of nowhere an exterminator came to spray for bugs in our room while we were laying in bed. We had to ask for an iron and ironing board as these were not automatically provided for guests. The complimentary breakfast that was provided only consisted of cereal, apples, and waffles. The door to our room did not close well. It looked like it had been kicked in a few times. The only perks was that there was hot water when taking a shower, the bed sheets were clean, the room was spacious and quiet, and Aldi’s is nearby in case you need snacks.

Reserved for a young adult in town visiting. Check in was easy, staff was friendly & efficient. It’s a little rough, but it was fine for younger adults. They enjoyed the pool, clean & temp was great. For people not familiar with the area, based on appearance you may not think it’s a safe area, but it is. Special thanks to the front desk lady! She was wonderful!

This hotel is good for a short term stay. I stayed here for 18 days straight. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I didnt have to worry about noise or anything. Be careful walking in the parking lot as there are many holes and you could be easily injured and do some damage to your tires. Very nice area and there are plenty of food options close to the hotel. The free breakfast wont have alot of options but overall i would definitely stay here again.

we arrived 10 minutes prior to the 3:00 p.m. check in time and the lady behind the desk told me to wait until 3:00 p.m. She did offer me coffee while I waited, but I went back out to the car. The room itself was clean overall, the bed was comfortable. However, the bathroom floor was dirty, we could even see dirt/dust in the corners along with hair that was not our hair, as we had just arrived. The parking lot certainly needs attention as there were many pot holes.

It was terrible we came here for the pool and they never once told us the pool was down and we got dressed to come down and swim and seen a note on the door saying it was down due to maintenance! They were waiting for a part… it was terrible all the way around had people hanging outside asking people for cigarettes every time you came out the door to leave! They also had terrible carpets, carpet was lifted up by the bathroom floor, and it was full of crumbs. Didn’t look like the room was even vacuumed.

Bed was comfortable, pool only open to staff, safe area tho

I had tools stolen out of my vehicle and I was promised that the indoor pool would be open and the whole reason I booked that room is for the indoor heated pool and it was unavailable

The whole hotel was filthy!! Our king size mattress had a huge hole on one side and we found roaches. I would never recommend any Super 8 motel!! Just nasty.

There was some sort of odor/smell in the lobby which made me wonder about the cleanliness. The "breakfast area" is in the lobby and very small. Overall just not a good experience.

The property says no smoking. But the entire second floor smelled like Marijuana from the time we got there till the time we left. Bugs in the rooms. Roaches in particular. The staff was not helpful. Had to leave a $100 cash deposit when we got there. Would not take a card. Ridiculous honestly. Will never stay there again

How to put up $100 cash at check in in case there's damage to the room. I guess got into the room very, very dirty. The only clean thing in it was the sheets on the bed. There was dirt on the chair dirt in the bathroom. On the toilet paper holders, the kleanex cover the window cell had ants on them. It was not what I would consider a place.I'd want to stay very often. Have photos, but site will not let me upload them.

Booked this motel because of it's price and it's relevance to the bike route I was on. This is an older super 8 that is in dire need of a complete overhaul. Fixtures, interior is pretty beat up and dated. The over all feel of the place is sketchy.. they must have a moisture issue because they had a dehumidifier in my room that ran the whole time I was there. Had I known the condition of this property I probably would have peddled further out of my way for something nicer

Over all not bad but had a weird noise almost like a inning water through pipes all night long made sleeping very difficult

Pretty much a free bag motel. Awful cheap perfume odor throughout! Shampoo and soap was of low grade quality. Towels and washcloth were of low quality, perhaps could substitute for sandpaper! Television needs to be replaced. Very poor picture! Front door was locked Sunday morning well after 7AM. Hallways lighting very poor. Not a lamp in both rooms! Room lighting very poor. Difficult to read anything! Overall rating had been pre-selected and couldn’t be changed! Mercy! Even the trash cans at the front door need to be emptied!

I have no room to gloat about this, just sharing raw experience over time. I've stayed in hotels, counting it all up, for almost two years. The parking lot is average, it isn't bad, but you should pay attention to where you put your feet, it's not friendly to distractions while carrying stuff. Other than that very common really nonissue... it doesn't get cleaner than this hotel. Both rooms I've been in have been spotless. They don't overpromise breakfast like many super 8s do, and is much the same, but with more choices than average. Not empty on cereal and milk by 7am. I've seen many different kinds and styles of housekeepers, and both i interacted with here made conversation welcoming and simple. I had trouble keeping up with how nice they were. Much respect for their work ethic and attitude. The one gripe i have is electrical. All but two outlets in the second room(walls, lamps, power strips, ALL) were so loose it may not make contact at all if you wiggle it, or make those very noticeable and unmistakable arcs and sparks, visually and audibly. I only needed two but they weren't where i liked them. Will stay again, many times im sure.

The bed was one of the best and the room was freezing which I love . I had booked a king and got a double queen so that was a bummer. The towels and tub were gross. The room was next to the pool and smelled like a pool. Would I stay there again ya if I need a quick room but not in my first 10 picks.

Service checking in/out was fine. Cleaning people were friendly. Rooms were somewhat clean, bathrooms and beds were clean but floors were suspect as you could see hair and other dirt or debris in corners. Chair was stained and looked filthy. Would not sit on it. A/C unit was abnormally noisy. Too much rattling noise. I know, you get what you pay for. I don’t think it’s too much to ask of any budget motel to maintain rooms and ensure furniture and rooms are very clean.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The toilet ran constantly and the fan in the bathroom was very loud.

Check in was time consuming after a long day and once to our rooms, the light switch inside the door didn’t work in either of our rooms. We reserved 2 king size bed rooms and both had 2 queen beds instead. Was disappointed. Don’t think we’ll stay there again.

If your property is so badly managed that you have to shake travelers down for an extra $100 CASH on top of the room rate, it’s time for you to just call it a drug den instead of profiting off of it.

The staff is EXCELLENT. Very knowledgeable and great personality! We will definitely be staying there again.

This hotel is running a SCAM. I wish I had read through the reviews other people had left before trying to book at this hotel! The front desk employee was incredibly rude and condescending to both myself and to the representative from Expedia that was attempting to help me. The other staff member we had contact with was nice. I would highly suggest management to review video/audio of how the front desk staff is treating his paying customers. RUN FAR and FAST from this hotel!!! We will never even consider booking there again and we will make sure to warn as many people as possible.

Was clean , and staff was really helpful !

Ice bucket in our room was moldy. Went to the front desk to ask for a clean one, l and he made us wash it. There is no elevator for handicap accessibility or to carry luggage up to the upper floor. Also, they expect a cash room deposit, or you pay extra to use your credit card to put an incidentals hold on your credit card, which you don't get back. I would not recommend staying here. Staff was friendly, but that is about it.

Friendly, quick staff

I feel sick to my stomach right now because even rehearsing it effects me. I have never been treated like that before by a "staff member". He treated me horribly and I'm tempted to take this to court. Ok so first off all I did was pull into the parking lot and he yells at me that check in isn't until 3! I mean what the!? I have never been approached like that. Second he saw my dog then and didn't say anything. So I left and came back at 3. He was outside talking to so guys and saw me getting my dog and all my bags out of the car. I hadn't slept in 48 hours. Was driving. Ok so then I get ready to go and I had a difficult time getting my dog through the door due to fear of doors. Guy is just watching! On top of all of this the dog is my emotional support dog! He is lucky I don't take him to court. Ok you don't accept dogs. I get it but why was he so rude to me. I almost called the cops on him for being so aggressive about not allowing dogs. He responded with "No I call cops on you! Leave now!" I'm not joking. I'm not from that city but I will definitely not recommend this place. Not with staff like that☹️😡

It was a good deal for the price. There was a Perkins Restaurant (even open Thanksgiving Day) and an Aldis Grocery Store very close by. Bathroom fan which came on with the light sounded like it was broken or about to break but it didn’t bother me after a while. Tub contained a non-slip mat and there was no water softener, which I like. Rea Bed was good, although I prefer a queen size to a king because I am small. Still that is not the motel’s fault. Breakfast was good but standard. Bottom Line: I would stay here again.

Not worth it, we left the property to walk around town because it was disgusting. We stayed the night and just not worth the money. I did t want to eat the breakfast because it just didn’t feel clean and the food looked old.
