I really liked the hotel and the decor. The bed was very comfortable. I was worried about the airport noise, but we did not hear it. My only negative was that the gym equipment was in desperate need of repair. Several pieces were broken. And we always pick hotels that have gyms as that is a part of our lifestyle.

The rooms are great having just undergone a refurb. The staff especially the one doing the evening meal/bar service left a lot to be desired. Took ages and kept disappearing out back for half an hour at a time and clearly didn’t want to be there. Stock management is also an issue in the bar, none of the wines advertised were available, those that were ran out after one glass and at lunchtime ran out of English breakfast tea. Shuttle can be full especially if you are at one of the later terminals,had to wait over an hour and then it was full of people who parked their car at the hotel only.

I had to wait 50 minutes for a shuttle. Although I called at 2am, and the shuttles are supposed to run every 30 minutes the shuttle didn’t get there till 2:50am, and after I called a second time.

Was disappointed in shuttle service airport to hotel. I was in after 8pm. Had to call twice and waited total of 25 minutes with no pickup. Finally got a ride from embassy Suites shuttle after I told driver I had been waiting for Sonesta for 25 minutes..

The inside is really nice and clean the staff are really nice and helpful. There is an airport shuttle that brings you straight to the hotel even though I had a rental. The only thing I didn’t like was that a roach crawled right over to me when I was eating at the table in my room. It was one of the roaches you’ll see when you’re at someone’s house because they’re not clean. That was literally the only bug I saw so I’m assuming it came from someone’s luggage prior to my stay! Other than that the hotel is nice, clean, up to date, and cozy I loved my stay and would go back whenever I’m in Philly again!

Carpet on 1st floor hallway was extremely dirty...not what you expect to see as a guest. Very limited housekeeping. Front desk advised that housekeeping for guest rooms is only performed every 6 days!? Unbelievable! Can not recommend this hotel!

Stayed 1 night for a 5am flight out the next day. Short, easy ride to airport in the morning, 6 minutes. Newly remodeled, bright, clean. Comfortable rooms although the space to store items was on the small side. However, this hotel isnt really an extended stay type of place imo. Bed was comfortable, too. I'd stay again if presented with same early morning flight situation.

Most everything was great. Overall, I would probably recommend. The front desk staff was matter-of-fact. No welcome or warm fuzzy greeting. But got the job done. The walls are tissue-paper thin. I could hear the person in the next room using the bathroom and they were playing music until 3 AM. There is no way to continuously run the fan, so nearly impossible to sleep. The bed was really comfortable. The room had everything I needed. I’m not sure I would call the bar in the lobby a restaurant. I didn’t see a menu anywhere and the all-business front desk lady told me I could ask what they had to eat because, “Sometimes she has food back there.” I ordered food to be delivered instead.

My daughter and I went to a concert at the eagles stadium. The hotel was close and not congested. We loved the way the living area was a separate room from the 2 queen sized beds. It was perfect for us to get ready for the concert.

The hotel was ok. Did not like the fact there was no microwave in the room, the sound on the tv only worked on certain channels, you could easily hear people in the hallway, there was no continental breakfast. The breakfast options they did have were very limited & had to buy it. There was no complimentary coffee had to buy that as well & wasn't very good. overall I would not stay here again.

Nice hotel. Pullout couch bed was extremely uncomfortable and getting bedding for it was inconvenient. Lobby was very nice and stylish. Room was nice. Floors were a bit dirty but nothing terrible.

I didn't like that I had to wait to check into my room, It was after 7:30 pm? She said there were no rooms ready because of the airline customers, there check in/ out is 8 to 8. I did have a reservation that was prepaid. The ladies behind the check in counter that night and morning were not friendly AT ALL. Both were on their phones and I had to wait for them to finish their conversation.

They cancelled our reservation and it was a challenge t o fix this issue onsite. They then gave us the wrong room type, and when they moved us to the right type, the room was occupied by other guests. We ultimately moved again to a clean room - but not worth the hassle at all.

Check in was rather long, over 30 minutes. There was a couple at the counter with another person waiting to check in. A group of 5 flight attendants from Spirit Airlines walked in and went to the front of the line. While they were being checked in, 2 American Airlines flight attendants walked to the front of the line and were checked in ahead of me and the person already waiting. I understand they are getting off of work, however, it was inconvenient to those of us already waiting in line to be checked in. There also appeared to be a problem with the check in computer system, as emergency card keys were provided. The room was clean and comfortable. It was just an overnight stay, so did not use the gym.

Let’s start by saying the front desk staff was the rudest person I encountered on my entire trip to Philadelphia. When I asked if there was designated parking so I wouldn’t be parking illegally. She replied with “outside” in a very rude manor. When given the key we were unable to read the WiFi password OR the room number, but luckily I heard what room she said. When I went back and asked what the WiFi password was she said “WiFi isn’t working”. She was a horrible host. Very snotty. The room desk was covered in crumbs and there were crumbs or something on the floor also. The bathroom by the lobby was not clean either. For paying nearly 400.00 (with a deposit) I expected more…. At least more respect, and not be treated like I was inconveniencing the front desk worker.

The two young ladies that were working the front desk on Monday, September 22 were not professional. They were both on their phones and I stood in front of them for a few minutes until one looked up and then hesitated to ask what I needed. I told here I needed two washcloths because our room only had one and gave her a shuttle time for next morning. She got up and got me towels and then I asked her for coffee and cups for our room. She said "UGGHH you going to make me get up again to go look" We went to a Storage door down the hall. She knocked and no one answered. I told her we were not going out any more tonight so if someone could bring us some that would be fine. She then said well can you come back down here in a few minutes when I can get a key for this room. I just turned around and walked away, I was not going to negotiate getting coffee. The door to that Storage room opened right as I was walking back to my room. Another young lady that was in there gave me cups and coffee. My asking for things I went downstairs myself to get and being treated like i was inconveniencing them was very disrespectful and not a good job.

I travel to Philadelphia often and have stayed at several hotels near the airport. My stay at Sonesta Select PHL has been the best thus far. The room was comfortable and well-equipped and location is convenient. But where this hotel stands out is the front desk staff and shuttle drivers. They were friendly, efficient, accomodating and just great. I will definitely return. The only thing that could improve was the coffee station in the lobby. An option of decaf and tea would be a welcome addition.

We checked in late but called in advance to let front desk know. We are family of 4 and were flying out very early the next morning. We booked a room with 2 beds. The front desk didn’t mention at arrival that our room category was no longer available. We only noticed after carrying our small children into the room. When we called down to let them know the front desk tried to say we didn’t guarantee that room category even though my confirmation clearly stated it. We even paid more money to get the room with 2 beds. The room had a pull out bed but we were told that there wasn’t any staff to make the bed for us. We said we would do it ourselves if they brought the bedding. We had to call several times to get the bedding and waited well over an hour at 1am. They didn’t even bring pillows or a thick blanket.

First I had to wait almost 1.5 Hrs to check in due to fact they was change systems and Wi-Fi was down. Then the next day I leave about 2 o’clock to go too a meeting, I get back around 7pm enter my room to find all my stuff hv been thrown away. Food, drinks, toothbrush and my charger was taken. The bad part of it all I was there for 2days so I was lost at y clean a room and take stuff out refrigerator knowing someone was still there. So of a inconvenience

Not much in the area but I felt very safe staying here alone as a female. Airport shuttle in the morning was great! I did have some trouble at pickup. I called them while I was waiting outside and the first time they drove right past me. They came the second time I called but I did wait for 45 minutes. I’ll be staying every time I fly out of Philly. Very clean hotel.

We needed a hotel close to the airport, and this location worked out perfectly. Despite arriving at midnight to a very busy lobby, check-in was smooth. The amenities are basic, but the bed was comfortable, and it provided exactly what we needed for a late-night arrival and quick overnight stay.

A solid hotel for staying near PHL for your flight the next day. The front desk staff is always helpful & friendly. A big plus is their own shuttle service, which is available every half hour. My only complaint is that the bar seems to have a haphazard schedule or bartender coverage.

Don’t stay here if you thought there was going to be a pool! Or if you had plans on grabbing a drink after dinner. Or if you planned on wanting to eat anything through the food menu- nothing is complimentary & everything is over priced. We stayed here on NYE & when we googled the place- an indoor pool popped up, & it said complimentary breakfast. When I was checking in, I was told they did away with the pool, breakfast had to be paid for and was given a 5star menu for a 2star hotel, and when I asked about the bar I was told they closed at 9pm. (Checked in at 930)

Front desk staff was great, bartender was great, the one housekeeper I bumped into was great. What wasn't great was the lack of food service--despite your website saying that you served dinner, I was told by the staff that you were not in fact serving food on the night of my stay. I was never given a clear reason why. Had your property been up front about this, I could have eaten before arriving. Instead, I had to spend $40 on GrubHub. "That's really cool", said no one ever. When your website says something about a property that turns out to be untrue, that's called "dishonesty", fellas. Do better.

So the desk staff member was nice. The hotel itslef was lack luster and wondering if our room was actually cleaned. There was a dirty towel in bathroom. Nothing in area of hotel. No bar/restaurant at hotel.
