Stayed 3 nights

I arrived at 2 PM and although I was aware check in was at 3, the person at the front desk seemed frustrated. I travel a lot for work and I know the hotels can make exceptions, especially when the property is half way full. A good hotel can always accommodate a customer. I also find it unfair that the area is under construction and there's no mention about that anywhere on the website. On Friday afternoon and evening the noise from the construction was loud until 8:30. Also, since the property is under construction, the golf course and other amenities are not available. And on the subject of amenities, there was no mention of any of them at check in. I also found annoying the noise from the highway nearby. You can hear the vehicles. I thought a resort is supposed to be a calm place to relax... Not the best spot for a mountain resort.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay and visited the Biltmore estate which was the main purpose of our trip. The hotel is kind of an odd spot though, and the GPS had trouble navigating due to all the construction.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful, upscale look! The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I also enjoyed the workout room, and the breakfast and drink bar were a nice touch. The food was pretty good as well. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!
