Lots of things were not working properly. The pool and hot tub, juice machine and pancake maker at breakfast. Breakfast was nothing like pictures. The mattresses were not comfortable. The water fixture in the bathroom sink was loose slid back and forth. The staff was extremely nice!! The hotel over all appeared to be clean.

The pool was very small and the hot tub was not operating. The outside area - parking lot, neighboring properties - seemed a little sketchy, no easy way to walk to nearby restaurants except through various parking lots. The rooms were in good shape, the staff was pleasant.

The overall breakdown of this property is that it has the basic hotel accommodations, but where they really lack is the option of the pool ability. The pool is in a very unsafe condition and should be closed off until any/all repairs are made. Tiles braking as you walk on them, hand rails very loose, windows breaking away from its structure, mold growing on multiple areas due to insufficient exhaustion of the humidity within the pool area. It should be closed for anyone's safety.

Nice and clean, lots of construction going on, outdoor swimming pool is a joke. So small, not even as large as a jacuzzi. Clean room, but towels were scratchy and not soft at all, Actually hurt my skin while toweling off. Location is problem, very hard to find and crammed behind other buildings. Parking was hard to drive, very curvey and had large tractor equipment at the front door. Would not go again.

The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is because the pool was being renovated and there were big orange cones and yellow tape up in the indoor pool area, which is already small. Everything else was wonderful.

The beautiful five-story hotel is just minutes from Downtown Asheville through the tunnel. Guests have access to many stores/restaurants within walking distance. Underground parking is available to a limited number of guests. The hotel was one of the cleanest I ever stayed. It smelled clean upon entering. Check-in was a breeze, and the staffers were apparent and willing to assist. The comfortable lobby is inviting. There is also a tiny convenience center in addition to a small business center that has a few computers and printer access. The other guest amenities include a small gym, an excellent indoor/outdoor pool with a go-between door, and a small spa. The breakfast area is huge, with indoor and outdoor seating with views of the mountains. Breakfast included pancakes, eggs, breakfast meats, cereal, oatmeal, yogurts, donuts/danishes, and robust unlimited coffee. (24hrs) We were upgraded to a vast and comfortable two-room, full amenities suite with balconies with a view of the Great Smokies. The king bed was soft and very comfortable. The shower had good pressure with an integrated soap dispenser. There were plenty of towels. Highly Recommend Go for the Art, Music, and Food!

Good breakfast options, large rooms, comfortable beds and quality linens and towels. We chose the underground parking option and were able to take the elevator down with the luggage cart to easily unload. Our only complaint was the pool area, which was in disrepair. The flooring around the pool was loose and was slippery when wet...which was always since it was the pool area. I almost fell and I was walking carefully.

The hotel was extremely and smelled fresh when you walked in. The staff was friendly and polite. Our room was very clean. I take my own wipes, Lysol and toilet covers. When my husband and started wiping things down there was no dust or debris on the wipes. The sheets was also ultra white and clean.

I love how big the rooms are. There is tv in the rooms and in the living room. 1/2 toilet and 1 t/b. The beds are comfortable and the ac is really cold. The breakfast was good too except for the pancake machine that always runs out of batter. The hotel is near a grocery store and lots of restaurants around it too. The toiletries were Dove. The front desk wasn't there when i checked in had to wait for 5-7 minutes before she showed up. I like that they have a mini convenience store in the property.

What we did not like was that while taking the 1st shower, instantly the bathroom flooded. Also it was very noisy above us. Sound like something heavy being dragged back and forth. Otherwise everything else was good.

The room was clean, but there were other issues. The light switches were either not there or in a strange place. When the heating unit,which was in the bedroom, came on at night it was so loud it woke me up. I had to get up, go to the sitting area and lower the temperature to shut the thing off.

I had an ok stay because the hotel was fairly acceptable when it came to cleaning and was really close to downtown and the freeway. I was only dissapointed because the pool was small and jacuzzi bubbles didn’t work, wi-fi didn’t work and I made a reservation for 4 but only received towels for 3 every day I stayed there.

Room was wonderful. My only complaint is that the staff closed the breakfast room at 9:30 and it’s not supposed to end until 10. They also started putting up chairs and turned off the TV’s at this time, while there were still a good amount of people eating. Otherwise, everything else was great. Front desk staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.

The staff here makes it perfect! It's already a great hotel, but EVERYONE from the front desk to the cleaning crew is the best. My favorite part is at breakfast the gal who makes pancakes for you and is so efficent and sweet! Keep it up.

I chose this hotel because of their photography of swim out pool and hot tub. Dont be fooled! The hot tub was out of order and apparently had been that way for months. The pool was sealed up to the outside, cold and dirty. My room had a dirty bathroom and I found food scraps along the bed and under the desk. The breakfast was marginally edible. When I asked for a refund they refused stating a no refund policy. Horrible. DO NOT STAY HERE

The rep that booked my stay and the website said this place takes cash so I brought cash to pay well turns out they only take cash at checkout? So you have to pay with a card checking in what sense does make??? Anyway I was treated very rudely had to cancel my business meeting early and they canceled my reservation and was threatening to remove my things from the room. Even though I explained the situation to the front desk before leaving to my appointment that morning, two hours later @ 12:00 they were calling me telling me I had until 12:30 to take of my payment or they were removing my things?! Needless to say this is no way to conduct business I mean this f they can take cash on checkout then why couldn’t they of at least held my cash as collateral until I could finish my business meeting and find my bank to redeposit the cash? Ruined my business meeting ruined my whole trip!!

Very good location for Asheville. Only about 1.5 miles from downtown. Outback restaurant adjacent to the parking lot. A lot of construction work being done with a crane in front of the building, but it wasn't bad. The staff was great and the room was spacious and clean. Good breakfast included each morning. I liked the property and I would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn.

The building and location were beautiful with views of the mountains. The service was excellent. Breakfast on the porch with cool mountain air was very nice. Outback Steakhouse located next door was convenient for evening meal.

I was told my room on the second floor would be quiet but it was far from it. It directly overlooked the entrance where all the cars pull up so constant car noise and people talking. The location is handy right by tunnel road. Nice clean room and good toiletries. Nice breakfast. Good staff. The lobby smelled of disinfectant which was tough to take. Not fancy but a practical, convenient hotel.

Unique hotel with underground parking and 6 stories. Great view into the valley. Close to restaurants, grocery, and gas. A little bit difficult to find using GPS, ended up driving through parking lot of adjacent business which must happen frequently.

Room was very clean and had good amenities (safe, microwave, minifridge, coffemaker, blower). Good A/C, daily housekeeping. Walls are not that much soundproof as the website states, you can hear people and the housekeepers in the hall and in the room above, but not so early in the morning.Breakfast is awesome, hot and with many options to select from, and the coffee was very good for a hotel. Hotel is in a good, safe area, with an Outback Steakhouse in the backyard and many food options and a supermarket at walking distance. Only 4 minutes to dowtown Asheville. There is plenty of parking spaces. The frontdesk employees are very nice. Didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi, but thwy seem clean and well maintained. Would recommend and stay again.

The hotel itself is good. Breakfast was the same everyday. The juice machine wasn't cooling. The staff is very good, always smiling and greeting guests. The entrance to the hotel is inconvenient. You have to really look for it. The front of the hotel parking lot smelled like garbage.
