This is a gorgeous historic property. Many restaurant options. Fabulous extensive grounds with pool, athletic facility, gym, tennis,pickleball, golf and swimming. If you stay in the convention rooms there is lots of walking to and from the main building. They provide a shuttle around the property for ease of guests. It is the grande dame of Asheville.

Great place to unwind or there is plenty to do. We have been staying here for over 20 years and still look forward to each trip. Golf, piano bar, great lobby with giant fireplaces, spa, gym, views and close to Blue Ridge Parkway! all this without leaving the property (except Parkway). Couples and family friendly!

Omni had turned a national treasure into an overpriced tourist trap. Valet park for $40 a day or self park for $30. $22 cocktails in the lobby. $240 per person per day for use of the onsite “spa” pool or take a shuttle off property to a crowded Holiday Inn grade pool. A couple can enjoy dinner with a view for $300 on the terrace. After all this high end pampering you will be rewarded at check out with a long line and a 30 minute wait because the electronic check out is out of order. Stay away. Stay somewhere else when traveling to Asheville.

The fees. It's already of questionable value given the cost, but the added fees are crazy The parking situation was not great. Self parking was $25 a day! There was a resort fee of $35 that I am not sure what it covers because everything we wanted to do was extra. Perhaps for someone staying there as a resort it may be a better deal, but we just wanted to stay a night in a lovely place in the middle of a long road trip, and in that case, it was a very expensive stay with little value beyond the pretty property. The interior of the main historic building, where we stayed, could also use an update with worn and torn stairs carpets, etc.

The hotel is awesome. The bed is super comfortable. They had just reopened from Helene and the staff was friendly and helpful. The price of the spa day pass is ridiculously high. We are locals and celebrating a birthday and trying to put money back into Asheville. It was a big treat and we’re not used to spas but my husband and I were only able to use the hot tub and the pool together. Everything else is divided by gender. We spent $400 on two day passes after paying the nightly rate and only spent two hours in a hot tub. This part should be included in a stay at the rate they charge. Super disappointed in something I considered my bucket list but we learned to ask.

The place was nice but they charge for services not available. We paid an extra $40 per night for services not advertised or were we informed of and some not available. They nickel and dime everything after paying almost $500 a night to stay. They advertise their spa pool as if every guest has access but it’s 18 and an extra $250 per person if they have tickets available. Will not stay again.

A big property with an excellent SPA. However after 10pm you don’t find any bar and/or restaurant open. Some of the furnitures on the rooms require replacement.

Staff was great but everything else was a bit dated and overcrowded. It was a lot like Las Vegas - line for everything, reservations to even access the pool, mass produced experience and less like the Grove Park Inn of the past. We won’t be going back any time soon.

Nice views. Huge property. Not very accessible for mobility challenged. Rooms nothing special. Dining prices exorbitant. No spa appointments available at all. Outdoor pool required a drive on a shuttle.

This is a very unique historic property with incredible views. The property grounds are really well kept and the lobby bar is worth the stay. The property could use a refresh however, the carpets and rooms are tired and stained and the property looks like its due for some standard maintenance.

This property definitely has some charm, but could use some major updating. The lobby is welcoming, but upon closer inspection, there needs to be repairs to the ceiling. I stayed in the original lodge and the bathroom shower looked like it needed a lot of work…to the point that we decided to skip a shower there. $600 a night & you’d think you could at least be comfortable showering. It’s a beautiful property but extremely dated, and needs a LOT of work for the prices they charge.

It was a very nice stay. Grout in shower could use a deep cleaning, air conditioner unit was loud all night even when we increased the temperature so it would run less. I was very aware I was in a basement room due to low ceilings and mountainview was a bit of a stretch for the room we were in. We were on the golf course and kept the curtain closed because everyone playing through could definitely see into the room. We also needed to request foam pillows because two feather pillows were too flat for comfortable sleep.

The scenery was so beautiful! However, our room experience was awful. The room was extremely outdated and the furniture scratched up. Unbeknownst to us, our room was an accessible room. We were told only when we inquired, that because we booked through a party, independently of the hotel, when you request a king bed, they will automatically give you an accessible room, we guess as punishment for not booking through the hotel directly. Needless to say, everytime we took a shower, the bathroom floor was flooded with water! So much so, that we had to place three large towels down each time to soak up the water so we didn't slip and fall!! We called the front desk to ask for another room, but they said the rooms were sold out. That they will check and get back to us, but they never did. To add more insult to injury, the toilet would only flush one time properly. The second time, you would have to wait several minutes and try again. I must say, for the large amount of money spent for the experience of Omni Grove Park Inn, it was "underwhelming" at best! We received charges for $35 per day, for a "resort fee"? No idea what that was for?? Paid $25 per day, to park at the hotel we paid over $2,000 to stay at!! The total experience, except the breathtaking views and dining, was a money grab from the moment you pulled up! We have stayed in wonderful hotels downtown Asheville, but wanted to "try" another experience, and didn't mind paying the higher price. Will not recommend this hotel

Common areas of hotel were stunning and beautiful however the Vanderbilt wing rooms were older and not up to par, the hallway carpets were soiled and unattractive. So overall the resort common area was beautiful but rooms were very disappointing.

For the amount of money this place was, we could of gone to the Holiday Inn which would of been alot nicer, up to date, cleaner. This was a special anniversary trip and we wanted to do something alot nicer. But, the room robes were tattered up, old, the hallway on the second floor smelt like something had died in the air vents! It was truly uncalled for. Also, we had tompay an extra 30$ to park our vehicle in the garage which was full one night and had to park at the sports complex half a mile away and walk to the front door. They had the last section of parking garage blocked off which could have been easily used tompark more cars. We have a handicap plate and there were only a few places to park that were full. The positive sides were, the foyer with live music was nice. The seafood buffett was ok. Lets talk golf, we will never play the expensive course again! You could not find the next holes, no signage! The course was not well maintained, the greens were horrible, not food or restaurant on site! Such a disappointment.

This property is very nice except that rooms in original building look very dated and the bathroom is tiny.. there is a step up which is very dangerous.. shower head in so low that I had tobdick.. I’m 6’1” tall. very outdated!!

Stunning property, but it was in the 50s and the heat was broken. Management knew this but did not advise or offer to move us when we complained. They brought a space heater. For the 5 star price, just not appropriate.

Beautiful hotel, but our resort view room stared out at a bottom floor bed of rocks and you couldn't see anything else so that wasn't worth the money. The beds were not comfortable in. The food was not great in the restaurant, but the ambience and the hotel itself is amazing.

We loved the resort and spa. The property was in great condition and the area was beautiful in the midst of the mountains. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the food was great. Its a robocall nightmare to try and reach these people. I never could get anyone on the phone. My son had to go to the hospital and I had to cancel the trip. I couldnt reach them directly or through Expedia. The only humans I was able to get on the phone were either unable or unwilling to help and would not give me a number to the resort itself. I never was able to speak to anyone. I wouldn't ever book there again.

We loved our stay. The staff was outstanding! Especially Kevin and corey. There was one waitress named kimberly who wasn't very nice. I know she was buys and my father is elderly and demanding, but she kinda threw down his desert and didn't offer to replace his spilled wine.

Wonderful historic property. Enjoyed learning about the history of the Inn and enjoying time in a place with so much history. The service was excellent! we had 7:30 dinner reservations at the sunset terrace. We arrived at 7:30 but they didn't seat us until 8. The person we checked in with, the person who seated us, our waiter, and then a manager all made a point to not only apologize, but do it sincerely. They also comped a round of drinks. Honestly we had no issue with that slight delay as we enjoyed a drink in the ambiance of the amazing grand hall while we waited. The views from the sunset terrace are breathtaking as well! We loved our entire visit which included a round of golf and a day at the spa. Highly recommend the Grove Park!

Concierge and bellman services were exceptional! Champagne was left in our room for us to celebrate our honeymoon, which was a nice touch! Until we were charged for it unknowingly when checking out… We were disappointed that there was no chance of utilizing the spa, but overall it was a positive experience.

Spectacular building property amenities and location-- I was here in 1993 and was burned in my mind. One of kind spectacular- the rocking chairs, fireplaces the terraces the trails and views . Room was comfortable but AC didn't work great ( thank god for the windows and breeze was divine) and it was a little dated decor for the price( separately from the historic nature of the property you want to keep- the whole building feel a little dated/ the storn feels dirty ) Dinner at Edison was exceptional in every capacity - the view , the food , the drink the help. Trh grounds are spectacular- breakfast was amazing. Our waitress was literally wonderful. The staff is helpful but a bit slow and reception was unfriendly - didn't say welcome or hello or make much eye contact. Not allowing a guest to even tour the pool grotto when we were nt staying long enough to actually use it is ludicris. Hiding the most famous amenity is just rude and impacted how I felt about coming back.

I had a wonderful time at the Grove Park Inn. I had a mountain view room and it was nice. The hotel is beautiful and huge. They have a lovely fireplace in the lobby where you can relax and listen to the piano. The spa is amazing but the spots usually fill up quickly and require a 3 month in advance booking. The restaurants on site are very good and there are a variety of food options available. I also enjoyed lattes and snacks at their coffee shop. The sunset terrace area was also one of my favorite spots where I spent time in the evenings. The view of the Blueridge Mountains was very calming and beautiful. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make my stay more comfortable. They brought me a microwave to my room upon request. An elevator staff member named Lish gave my mother and I a mini tour of the historic Palm Court area on the second floor of the main building. It was a pleasure meeting Lish and learning more about the history of the Inn. If you are not staying in the main building, I would recommend taking a ride in the main building elevators since they are so neat. I flew to Asheville to visit the Biltmore Estate and it was not at all far from the Grove Park Inn. I am glad I chose to stay at the Grove Park Inn and will surely visit again.

We had a great stay at the Omni Grove Park with the family (2 adults & 2 kids - 7 & 13 years old) for Spring break. The hotel is located just a few minutes away from downtown Ashville which is very convenient. The property is beautiful, with amazing views of the mountains all over the hotel. We experience amazing sunsets! The hotel restaurants are great with plenty of options for relax or more formal meals. The lobby is beautiful, great to play board games with the family or have a night cap by the fireplace. The piano bar was also very fun for a quick adult's time! I just wish the hotel had an outdoor pool available to all guest (the pool area that you see in the photos is reserved for the spa guest and you need to get a daily pass to use it). Although it has an indoor pool, the experience is not the same particularly in such a lovely setting. Apart from that, great hotel for a family vacation in Ashville.

Service was great, room was fabulous! My only complaint is the food. Although there are numerous restaurants to choose from, it appears the same items are offered in most of them. 23% up charge for room service seems steep as well. Especially when you are spending $12 dollars for a plain cheeseburger. The best meal was the BBQ buffet in the Blue Ridge room and the breakfast pizza from the coffee shop. It's sad to see how corporate Grove Park Inn has become.

We enjoy staying in historic hotels, and this is a very unique one. Our only complaint is there were no extras, no music in the lobby, no coffee or tea in the lobby. Only one of the restaurants serve breakfast, and the only option is a $32 buffet. The extra charge of $30 for self parking and extra $40 "resort fee" are customary but still frustrating after paying $459 per night to stay there. We have stayed in several nice historic hotels and for the price expect a few perks.

It was a splurge, for sure, but worth every bit of it! My advice would be to absolutely take advantage of the spa and be sure to make dinner reservations in advance because they do book up. The buffets for dinner and breakfast they are amazing!!

Only one of the 4 restaurants at the Omni was open. (The Bar). Very few options for dinner and over priced! Pet fee was also extravagant at $250.00/stay. Not worth it!
