Can’t beat the location. We’ve stayed here before. Some deferred maintenance but it’s old so I don’t take objection. The staff were great! Parking spaces are tight so take the little car. Again, it’s all about the location. We stayed in 102 this time and you could hear every footstep above. But the room itself was great.

Motel was in nice area of beautiful little town. Beds were comfortable. Heating in hotel lobby area was broken, so we could not gather in communal living area with our friends who also stayed at the motel. Apparently, plug in heaters were available but manager would not allow them due to safety fire hazard concerns.

Got to park right in front of our room! Everybody does! Great check in. Comfy bed.

The staff were wonderful! They had a firepit with snacks and smores! They are pet friendly. The location is perfect. It is diagonal from The Spotted Trout. Very walkable to everything in Blowing Rock on Main Street. The Inn rooms are very roomy! Large bathrooms with its own heater. It was very clean. The towels are very soft. The beds are hard, but can be good if you have back issues. Our remote didn't work but that's an easy fix.

The location was number one. Easy way around. Parking was easy as well. Traffic noise was there .

Like the proximity to downtown shopping, trails, and dining. Room was clean. Parking is a bit tight. Would stay here again.

The room was not as nice as I was expecting when looking at the pictures, but was fine for mostly just using the room to shower and sleep. The most frustrating thing was when we checked in they said there may be issues with parking and that night when we got to the hotel at midnight there were no spots. We had to park blocks away and walk in the dark. I understand you can't control non-residence parking there, but obviously you have had issues in the past if that is one of the main comments when checking in. Also understand it is a bigger issue during the day due to the volume of people, but since the majority of things in the city are closed by midnight, if not all, there shouldn't be an issue with parking unless you are allowing rooms to have multiple cars. I complained to the front desk and they game me an email to communicate with but haven't heard back yet!

It could have been so cute with all the decks and porches. No lights outside. Tv was all streaming

Bed was terribly hard. Floor was dirty and needed to be mopped. Feet became very dirty just trying to get dressed after showers. We’ve have stayed at much better establishments for less money than we paid for our trip. We spent two nights. Very dated room. Leaky shower faucet, closet light (which provided majority of light for the room) and fan above bed was powered on the same switch. Turning off light left us without the fan.

It was an awesome stay. The room was great with an electric fireplace and it was so cozy. We were able to walk every where downtown and it was great not to have to get in the car. We are already looking forward to our next trip!!!

Very clean and quiet place, with a great staff.

It certainly looked clean but the floor hadn't been mopped and the white tile bathroom floor was visibly dirty with shoe marks. We arrived after hours and we were only staying one night. The office didn't open til 10am (hours are 10-6) so we couldn't request anything or access more creamers and coffee pods for morning coffee. It was keyless check in so you're on your own. The microwave wasn't plugged in and it took some moving the fridge it sits on to plug it in. The body wash they provide is enough for one person. Room 101 is on the end and sits on the street... it's noisy from the cars and trucks all day and night. The beds were comfortable but the headboards or wall behind it smelled musty. The place has a musty, moldy smell but that's due to age I'm sure. You get what you pay for and this was on the lower rate end. Buyer beware. We wouldn't stay here again.

Location! Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is "old". We were in room 110. First evening we could not get the ac/heat unit to work. There was an ant in the bathroom tub. We left the unit for a hiking trip the following morning. When we returned to the unit ants were all over our toothbrushes and bathroom window. We do not like to complain but decided we needed to call. The lady on the phone was very kind and accommodating. She upgraded us to a king superior room. This room was clean and a bit updated. We even stayed and extra night. I can't say enough how nice the staff was! Please be aware it is very noisy (if you are a late sleeper) which we aren't so the noise did not bother us. There is a "huge" hotel being built across the street (construction noise starts early). A little disappointed as Blowing Rock seems to be losing the quaintness of a small mountain town. We enjoyed coming to BR for so many years and hope the growth will slow down a bit :-)

Staff was friendly and helpful. The tv cable wasn't working and they came out in the evening hours to get it fixed. There wasn't ventilation fan in the bathroom. The carpet was old and looked dirty. There wasn't EV charger

This was my first trip to Blowing Rock. I took my mother for her 70th birthday. We loved the cute little Inn. It’s walkable to everything in town. The room itself was spotless and cozy and the beds were comfortable. We travel often and were very impressed with the upkeep. The staff was friendly and there is parking on site. We both said we would be back to stay at the same property. My mom plans to take my Dad back soon. I would give higher stars if I could❤️

This hotel was perfect location and spotless!

The only thing I would change is adding some blackout curtains. The bright “porch” lights on the bottom floor shined so bright through the bamboo blinds that it was hard to sleep without a pillow over my head.

We stayed in the executive suite, which had a king bedroom with a fire place in both the bedroom and living room, a nice kitchen ding area with a large deck off the kitchen. It also comes with an extra bunk type room great for kids and teens and a nice sized bathroom. It’s says tub/shower combo but does not have a tub. It also has a sauna which was broken. We let the manager know about that and a broken lock going to the deck and she responded so quickly. Her and the other lady working there were so kind and attentive to everything. I can tell they are trying their best for the patrons. The issues of the hotel really fall on the owner. It really is such a cool suite, but in much need of some simple updating for their guests. The carpet is old. The mattress was so hard and cheap feeling could really use to be replaced. It felt like a display mattress that wasn’t really made for sleeping. The plus is the kind management, the super awesome location, and the mountain cottage feel of the suite. I’d love to stay here again but we can’t face sleeping on that mattress and not getting a good nights rest.

We have stayed here several times. It is very convenient to downtown for shopping and dining. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any issues that arise. Unfortunately, the walls are paper thin. The pet policy should really be reviewed due to this. The staff was so nice and was able to move us to another room due to a barking dog being left alone next door only to have the same problem in the new room that went on all night.

Location right in the middle of the small downtown area. Older property in need of updating, especially the bed. Price was within the local range but high by my standards. May be as seasonal thing.

We had a room right by the road. We have young kids with an early bedtime. It was difficult to sleep with the sound of traffic.

First time with contactless check-in, but it went perfectly. The room was spacious and quaint, just fit in well with the Blowing Rock feel. Loved the flowers outside, even in the rain. Only issues were that it took a while for the hot water to make it to the fauc, but ets, and I thought the bed was way too hard but my husband thought it was the moat comfortable of our whole trip. Hmmm. Would definitely recommend. So nice and close to everything downtown. Beautiful little town.

Only negative is the light outside the door that shines into the room all night as blinds are not effective to keep light from coming in

Great stay nice staff

We had requested in the initial reservation for an early checkin. When we arrived late morning, we were told the room was being cleaned and that he would call us when it was ready. We checked back in several times until about 2pm when we had to dress in the lobby bathroom to depart for our scheduled event and were told the room was still not available. Upon return at 8:30pm, the lobby was locked and our key and information were in a sealed envelope in the drop box. We were not told this when we departed but read it on a posted note on the lobby door upon our return. So, literally anyone could have picked up and had access to our room. This was very concerning. While we enjoyed our stay, we did not enjoy the lack of or form of communication. Our recommendation would include this concern to anyone who might ask.

Property was spotless. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will return.

This is our third time at The Ridgeway. It is quaint and convenient. The staff is so kind and accommodating. Great communication and ready to assist with any need.

From the start of this trip it was nothing but problems. We got into town a little early and figured we will see if we can check in, walked into the office and the gentleman at the desk told me a pipe burst that morning and we have been moved to a different hotel. He gave us the address and we drove over. No one was working and couldn’t get in contact with anyone. I called back and asked since the rooms had no water can we get a refund i will find another place to stay. I purposely chose “pay at hotel” yet somehow they Ridgeway charged me before i even go there. I called the office and asked to speak with the manager and he told me no. I contacted hotels who said they will give me a full refund yet ridgeway was unwilling to give it and would charge me the room fee plus cancellation fees. After speaking with someone else she told us our room hasn’t been transferred and we are staying there. When check in time came i went to get out key and was told we are transferred again.. having to call the manager again he was told we have a room there to stay in. After that debacle was over later that night they had someone doing construction in the room next to us until 1am so we didn’t sleep! This was the worst experience. Not only that but we found out the pipe burst the day before so they had plenty of time to call us and alert us what happened so we can find other accommodations. DO NOT STAY HERE. This was a horrible experience. Employees do not know how to handle issues.

Always stay here when I come for the horse show. SO convenient and the rooms are so quaint and have character. Staff extremely accommodating for anything you need.

The potential to be an excellent space. Needs landscaping and staffing. In the 20 hours we stayed at the Ridgeway the office was not open. No workers were present. Now that’s a bit much when cutting personnel costs. Did we hate the place? No it had some charm and is an excellent location. Bedroom was small but bed was soft and the bathroom was clean and retro cool. But no workers on site should a problem arise? Not sold on that move.

Room was very clean we enjoyed our stay. The young guy at the front desk checking us in was terrible. Kept us waiting and not friendly at all.

Everything about our stay at the Ridgeway Inn made our weekend getaway enjoyable and satisfying. The check-in was easy, the suite was clean, comfortable, and inviting. Every staff member was friendly, courteous, and accommodating. We definitely plan to return here the next time we travel to Blowing Rock. It is conveniently located and a great bargain for the area. I couldn't recommend it more highly for a couple's getaway.

The location is perfect. It’s right off the Main Street in Blowing Rock. Very convenient to shops and restaurants. Once we parked the car, we could walk everywhere else!

This Inn is in the PERFECT location in the heart of Blowing Rock. You can walk to everything. The check-in was easy, room was clean & quiet and everything in perfect condition. We truly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

The property was so nice than what I expected. It was completely refurbished. Clean and well maintained. No front Desk. No room service post Evening. Self check in and check out.

best price for the time i needed to be in Blowing Rock. Some remodeling has been done. Website and Expedia have different information about breakfast.
