Room was small but adequate. Cleanliness was impeccable. Bed linens were nice but a king bed should have four pillows of the same density. The shower control knob was missing and there was no control to change between overhead and handheld heads. A huge surprise was a charge for parking in the hotel parking lot. I was there less than 12 hours and at the minimum, you are required to pay for 24 hours. Worst of all, this charge was not advertised. We’re told if you don’t pay, you will be ticketed. This is a separate charge from the room. I’ve paid for parking in big cities before and it is always advertised up front and paid to the hotel.

The property itself is fine, however, they have an additional parking fee that is annoying and difficult to deal with when you arrive at the property. It would be so much better if they either included the parking fee in their total cost or if they just let it go because the space itself does not actually require you to have special parking.

That was done really well and well maintained. In all fairness the hotel did issue me a credit for the poor service and inadequate conditions. But definitely not worth the money for the conditions. I spent some time in the lobby. Lostening to other guests many had the same complaints. Sheraton you could do so much better.

New clean 3 elevators so don't need to wait at all. No daily chambermaid. Plenty of parking and not near any school or other venue so charging $7 a day is absurd money grab. The hotel experience itself was wonderful . Clean new rooms comfortable. VERY soundproofed and quiet though on a main artery.

Bedbugs!! I just got back from a trip to Chapel Hill. I stayed 2 nights at the Sheraton in Room 308 and was bitten all over my back and arms by bedbugs. I noticed a small bug on my bed the first night and didn’t think much of it because, well…. It’s North Carolina in summer, so I just flicked it off. After the second night however, I’ve now got a row of bites on my right back, several on my left back, and numerous on my arms. I called the front desk to let them know. The receptionist was very kind and attentive and even asked me if I wanted anything so they could make up for it. I told her no, and that I just wanted to make them aware so they could remedy the problem. She told me she would have her manager reach out to me. He/she did not reach out, which is disappointing to say the least. The rooms are nice, the hotel is in a good location, but nobody really cares about those things if they’re going to be gnawed on all night by bedbugs. My trip literally consisted of airport, hotel, university, restaurant, hotel. I spent no time outside except to traverse to and from my rental car. I’ve since sanitized everything in my luggage to make sure the problem didn’t make its way into my own home. Management should have at least followed up with a call. Will not stay again.

The hotel was just OK considering the cost. The room is small with inadequate seating. The balcony had one table and one chair not very reasonable for two guests. The room had an odor that we were able to resolve since we brought our air purifier with us. Restaurant is just a bar and never saw the breakfast buffet

Pros: clean, modern, friendly and helpful staff, nice facilities. Cons: A/C did not cool our room very well (could have been because we had a unit at the very end of the hall). Pillows were way too squishy (needed 4 of them to hold your head up and still had a sore neck in the morning)

The HVAC system in our room was incredibly noisy. Every time it came on, it sounded like a train was barreling through the room. Since it was too hot to turn the system off, Sleep was impossible.

This property is in driving distance to UNC. The restaurant was closed so the meals were prepared and brought down to the bar area by a robot who sung jazz (we liked the robot). The rooms do not have microwaves. This would have been useful.

The sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel is a nice, clean hotel. However, the rooms are very small and the food choices are limited. It is located not too far from UNC Chapel Hill, which opens up food options, but I did not find the the hotel food that good. The staff is nice and helpful.

We asked the front desk for extra pillows the morning of our arrival around noon, none were delivered. So I used the app that afternoon around 4pm, and still no pillows appeared at 7 until we went to the front desk after coming from dinner around 9 and waited there until we could bring them up ourselves. That was disappointing, but other than that the renovation is great, and a very pleasant location.

Hotel was fine, clean and modern. The service? Not so much. I purchased a two night stay with breakfast included and this was apparently unfathomable by the staff. Upon check in I was told: we don’t serve breakfast, sorry you’ll have to contact hotels.com to get your money back. Mind you, not only am I a Marriott rewards member (with club access), there is a breakfast bistro in the lobby. I eventually got a manager to apologize for the confusion and say she’d provide us with vouchers in the morning. The next day, I literally had to relive this again and explain why the breakfast should be included. We received vouchers for one day and were asked to come back the next day for the other vouchers. Which, for principle’s sake, I did. And…I went through this aTHIRD TIME! Absolutely crazy that no one knows what’s going on in this establishment. Customer service is not a priority here.

The receptionist when I checked in was the rudest check in I have ever experienced. When I arrived there was no greeting only a “I need to see your ID”. I was handed my room key with no explanation of what my room was, the paid parking was required or where the elevators were located. I had a Club Room and asked what that meant. I was told I would need to pay for access which made no sense. Finally she said oh Club access was just added to your stay? Please fire this receptionist as she ruins what would have otherwise been a lovely stay.

The person who checked us in barely looked at us and gave us a lousy room (near elevator and shared wall with ice machine), hotel was far from full, so no excuse. Every other staff member was amazing and we loved our stay despite the mean check in lady and less than optimal room.

Nice hotel. Good location. We were traveling with an infant and suggested a room further away from other guests (for their convenience) but staff apparently forgot about us because housekeeping never cleaned the room? We we’re only there for two nights but it was pricey and I was disappointed when we returned to unmade beds and used towels!😞 Otherwise, it was a good experience.

This is a very nicely renovated property with modern style amenities. The room was equipped with everything you would need, and very quiet. The bar and bistro area were made for socializing. The food was very good. The pool was beautiful, and appeared to be new and very clean. The only thing that would improve this property is if they had a free shuttle to the UNC Chapel Hill campus and Franklin Street as advertised on Expedia. Overall, a wonderful stay and I would return.

The property was nice with very friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay. The one downside was the dinner we had at the hotel restaurant; my daughter and I both ordered the filet mignon and it came out with half a carrot cut into 2 small pieces, maybe one mushroom thinly sliced into 5 pieces and that was it with the filet. It was mediocre at best. My wife ordered a salad bowl and it came out extremely salty. She couldn't eat it. The food was not good (especially given the price); which is weird because we ordered the fish & chips for lunch earlier and it was great. So we are not sure what happended there. Otherwise, the hotel was perfect. We would return and recommend to anyone wanting to visit Chapel Hill.

stay was fine, no free continental breakfast or complimentary coffee area, the bar closed early 10:00 Friday & Saturday, was disappointed in that. other than that it was fine. Also no shuttle offered to airport, very disappointing, cost $83 for Lyft!

Gps is hard finding this place. Food and drinks are too high. To be a high end chain its below expectations. Also ordered the morning breakfast that was 63 bucks, came 1 hour late, was colder than the mini fridge. Manager did credit me for the inconvenience. Would stay again but it needs work.
