The elevator was temporarily out of service and the staff went above and beyond and carried me and all of my luggage to my room on the third floor. Which was no easy feat as i am morbidly obese.

Unfortunately they did not tell you that the hotel was under construction. Strong paint smell, workers stuff everywhere. 1st room they assigned me had pubic hair on the sheets in both beds. Desk attendant apologized and offered another room. The breakfast did not have anything but water, apple juice and weak coffee. Bathrooms had no amenities… they were stripped due to construction.

The staff was vary nice & professional. The sole issue was that the elevator didn’t go up so you had to press down & then get in & then press an upper floor to be able to go up! That was a bit of a pain! Everything else was nice & it was clean & the beds were comfortable.

The breakfast was great and staff were very friendly and helpful. We chose this hotel over several others b/c it had an outside pool. The pool was closed. We were never told of this prior to our visit and feel we should be compensated for not having this service available.

We enjoyed our stay however they were doing a lot of construction work. The workers were very apologitic for all the construction debris around. I didn't know about the construction ahead of time. But overall we mainly stayed in our hotel room so the construction didn't bother us.

For the price the hotel was fine. It’s an average hotel that could use some work on the details such as ceiling in bathroom had cracking paint, door to bathroom wouldn’t close all the way, elevator walls had been wiped down but you could see where they stopped due to it being streaked, room had an old moldy smell, etc. Pool was under repair and no where on their website was that mentioned. We weren’t planning to use the pool but if someone reserved expecting to they would have been pretty upset.

Didn't expect it to be under construction when we got there. We couldn't use the front entrance at one point. Got a call stating the elevator was going down. Our room didn't seem to be complete. The toilet half worked. It ran most of the time. No hairdryer. Was only suplied enough towels for 1 person for two people and when asked for more, The attendant said she wasn't sure if she could provide 2 extra washcloths because everyone was asking also. Oone could tell that not all rooms were booked due to construction so there should have been plenty. Checking out always seems to be sketchy. I paid at the facility but they said they couldn't provide a receipt. Probably my last time staying there.

They are doing huge renovations of the whole property but we did not know prior to arriving! So it smelled very strong of paint fumes and pretty noisey. Room was already updated so it was pretty clean and nice. Kind of hard to get around with the renovations too. Less parking but I think that’s bc of renovations too!

The staff is friendly enough. But they have been renovating for a while and it's ongoing and a mess. I understand having some mess but there seems to be little progress in getting it done. There is painter's tape everywhere, including over the peephole of the door to our room and several others. They aren't mindful of that as a safety issue. My husband saw a cockroach running through the room. We won't be back.

We stay here when we come to Kannapolis and don’t feel like driving back home which is often, and we’ve always had a wonderful experience.The hotel is extremely clean, which made us feel comfortable right away. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, with no hassle at all, perfect when traveling with a child. The staff truly stood out: everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. They made us feel right at home from start to finish. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to other families looking for a smooth, stress-free stay.

Room was moldy and wet. I’ve never smelt anything like it. Last room in the hotel so we couldn’t switch. Mold on the ceiling. When we woke up our clothes felt damp. Don’t stay here. Room 400 is disgusting.

My stay was very disappointing. The room was not clean upon arrival. When I requested replacement sheets, those also arrived dirty. On top of that, I found spiders and water bugs in the room, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Overall, the cleanliness and upkeep were far below expectations

The blind only could close half way so the parking lot lights lit up the whole room making it very hard to sleep and certainly hard to sleep past 7 o clock. Very weird. Also the AC took several times of Turing off and on to finally start working

The room was okay. House keeping was on point. The microwave didn’t work and when I brought it to the lady at the front desk attention she acted as if she didn’t care. I asked her to warm up my food since it didn’t work and she got an attitude. The breakfast sucked. I will never stay at this location again!

Spark was well located with IHOP and a Chinese buffet across the street. The receptionist was one of the nicest I have ever encountered. She texted me to see if the room was to our liking. It was quiet, even though we were next to the elevator. Bed was comfy. Shower had good hot water. Decent place to stay, and a great value.

Water leak in the shower. The shower head was shooting a stream of water toward the shower curtain. The rod that supported the curtain was bent and sagged, The vibration or water from the shower caused the curtain to slide back from the wall. As that happened, the leak sprayed water on the floor causing a safety hazard. The shower rod needs to be replaced and the leak fixed before you have someone hurt and a possible lawsuit.

Convenient to the interstate. Very quiet. Clean. Floors are laminated and not carpet. We loved that! The downside is that the room does not have a fridge in the room as advertised. The breakfast is very minimal-less than any hotel I've ever stayed in. We don't usually eat breakfast, so it was not a deal breaker for us, but it could be for many.

I would love to tell you about our stay but they lost our reservation when the hotel switched from the Comfort Inn and they could not accomodate us even though we had a conformation number from both Comfort Inn & Spark. So we had to find a hotel at 10pm that night that could take us.

The beds were NOT comfortable, at all. The A/C unit was very noisy. The front desk clerk took a message (we saw her write it down), she confirmed with us face to face, we requested Clean Towels, total room cleaning not necessary, and pick up the pile of towels at our door and leave clean ones on the bed. Returned that evening, soiled towels still on the floor and no clean towels had been delivered. The front desk staff were all VERY attentive and friendly. It was a place to stay while going back and forth to the Hospice House, that's about it though.

We were coming to the Charlotte area for a banquet and our wedding anniversary and on the way to the hotel, we received an email telling us that our reservation was cancelled due to overbooking. Luckily I had checked my email or we would not have known until we got there. They stated that they were paying for another reservation for us at the Quality Inn (motel) because "They had checked and there was nothing else available anywhere". When I looked it up, it was a low quality motel that looked like it would charge by the hour (Its the Quality Inn at 80 Transit Ct Concord if you want to see how horrible it was). Luckily, a quick search on Hotels.com and I found plenty of nice places with rooms available and got a reservation elsewhere. When I called the Spark, the employee I spoke with (Daryl) could care less about our plans or the impact of their cancellation on us. He said it was "Hilton's fault" as "they overbooked" and the Spark had not control over it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel itself is accommodating and comfortable. The rooms were clean. We stayed on the 4th floor and it was quiet. The A/C unit was really noisy. The refrigerator was really loud. Complimentary breakfast ends at 9am during the week so we never made it and they are serious about their 9am cutoff. The staff was friendly and helpful when we needed anything- extra towels, new linens. Our room was straightened everyday and we appreciated coming back to a made bed. The only complaint that I have is that it feels sketchy at night. There is a Salvation Army Station adjacent to the hotel and people convened at random times of the night and overnight. There is another hotel also very close and many people walk back and forth to the QT gas station and that too feels weird. The parking lot is well lit but it didn’t feel safe walking with my little ones after sundown. All in all it provided a comfortable stay just keep mind your surroundings at night.

The property is in a location where there is a lot of people on the street fue to be close to a shopping mall. A lot of people sleeping on the street in the surrounding area that dud not make us feel safe, specially leaving my car outside. The staff was helpful and they attended our needs well. The room smell but I think they turn the AC off and the musty smell is on the carpet since it is not well ventilated.
