Holiday Inn Express Hotels & Suites Rockingham West by IHG

Only thing I didn’t like is when we came back in at 1am we were locked out of our room an the side entrance where we parked had to walk all the way around the hotel just to get in

Overall the stay went well. Couple issues. Elevator was out of order at first, but that happens sometimes. The bathroom sink was draining slowing, should be an easy fix. Thanks

Very nice room. Door key was a little finicky but we got it to work. Overall very nice and we hope to stay there again.

No tv service. They use Roku. No one could tell to use it. Parking was terrible.

Didn't get a chance to use the breakfast or the pool. The staff was great and the room was superb.

I booked this Hotel because of a laundry (after a week on the road I needed to wash). Very disappointed to find out that this facility does not have one. Other wise it was a great stay. Staff very helpful, room very nice & clean & beds very comfortable.

Room had a few pieces of trash on the floor. And pool could have been a little bit cleaner. Overall it is a nice place and convenient for me while home with family.

Pool was filthy which was a huge disappointment bc we had really looked forward to swimming after our drive. Hotel overall was old and in poor repair. Toilet had to be flushed several times for water to go down. Hallways smelled of mildew as did room but they were different bad smells. Staff were rude both at checkout and check in. Breakfast was poor. Seemed to be located in a bad area. I will not stay there again. However, the Holiday In Harrisburg was amazing! I’d stay there again and again!!

The front desk staff is very good and helpful. That being said housekeeping needs to be better. We had 4 women staying in our room, we asked the front desk before leaving for the day if they could make sure to have housekeeping leave us fresh towels and toilet paper (there was only 1/2 roll in room when we checked in) We were told that if the do not disturb sign was not on the door they would go in and clean the room. We were gone from 10am until 9pm that day. When we returned, we found that the room was as we left it, 4 dirty towels and no toilet paper. Our phone in the room did not work and our hair dryer did not work. We were able to get towels and toilet paper from the front desk that evening, and they were very sorry, said they would let management know. I realize that sometimes things get overlooked, but with so many things not working in the room and also with housekeeping not even checking the room as they are supposed to, I think that needs to be addressed. Everything else was good, including the small gym and continental breakfast.

This stay was better than the last few I have been to. The front desk receptionist was amazing, kind and helpful. She was quick and friendly. The pool was clean along side the room. Breakfast was above board especially when you have people like Marsha working for your establishment. My son went to get pancakes and only one came out. The batter bag was empty. He was okay with the one, but Marsha noticed that he was waiting. We sat to eat and she sought us out to ask if we wanted more. Next thing you know, this employee showed up to our table (without being prompted) with a stack of pancakes butter and syrup for the three of us. This is not the kind of service you get anymore. Way to go Marsha for going the extra mile when you don’t have to!! We come to Rockingham pretty often because we have family in the area. This is one reason we will continue to use Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites wherever we come to town from now on. Thank you for a great stay and wonderful staff! Can’t wait to see y’all next month.

The bathrooms were dirty and tub and shower had many hairs on it. The whole hotel had a bad smell and was very dim. Maybe just outdated. It wasn’t the typical Holiday Inn experience.

The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. Also the breakfast was great as well. The staff and GM were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that travels to the area. Very nice stay.

Although the room (210) was clean for the most part, there were areas that weren’t cleaned at all, and there were several items that should be addressed by maintenance staff. The bathroom sink area was dirty. It appeared as though someone wiped the countertop but did clean it. The TV (which was in my opinion rather undersized), mirrors, and sink/ countertop had a layer of film on it. The top of the shower wall had fake eyelashes laying on it. The bathroom door was off, making it difficult to close. There was some paint splatter in places on the shower wall, door, and wall probably from previous ceiling repairs. Unfortunately, it was certainly in an area that should have been scrubbed after a normal checkout cleaning, but never had been done. The center drawer in the dresser was unable to close unless you pulled out the other two drawers, lined them up and shut all three at the same time. The faces of the drawers were misaligned. The door that conceals the refrigerator was difficult to open due to it dragging on the floor, creating a rub spot. The tiles in the bathroom were not level, creating a small tripping hazard. The floor outside the room in the hallway was creaking under the carpet. The men’s bathroom nearest the lobby/ front desk door was almost off the hinges due to some screws being very loose.

Had to switch rooms twice because both where disgusting

I was disappointed that for two night stay, they didn't clean the room all they did was make the beds and didn't get any new towels , didn't replenish the coffee machine. the reason I pay more to stay at Holiday expresses for clean room , good beds and consistency

This hotel has to be a joke. I came from out of town to receive a key to a room that was already occupied. Then, the second room provided had someone above it who stomped around all night long. This was the absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had at any hotel. Not worth the money!

I liked the jetted tub in my room as well as the hot breakfast. Also, the Wi-Fi and the variety of TV channels.

My husband races and when we came back to the room he was physically and mentally exhausted and sacked out quickly! Thank you for the best hotel visit we’ve had in a long time! This will be our hotel choice every time we visit Rockingham Dragway each year!

This is a nice little quiet place to stay. I didn't hear anything, once I was in my room. That's the most important thing for me, as little noise as possible.

clean, nice friendly staff - only issue, had someone in next room who had TV playing loudly into early hours of the morning and then their alarm clock went off and they must have kept hitting snooze because it kept going off as well.

Our room was huge. Clean and the bed was absolutely comfortable. I loved the fact that they provide Dove soap and I have very sensitive skin so I usually have to bring my own soap. I was very surprised…Very very clean. Thank you

Overpriced for the quality and the location. The stay was adequate. Furniture in the room could use replacement -wear and stains noted although the style of the lounge chair was nice.

I have consistently enjoyed my stays at this hotel, from the moment of check-in to the time of departure. I have been a loyal guest for several years whenever visiting family in the area, and the level of service remains exceptional. One of the most notable aspects of each visit is the warm and professional welcome provided by Mrs. Vee at the front desk. Her energy, knowledge, and dedication to guest satisfaction are truly exemplary. Having stayed at numerous properties within the IHG portfolio, I can confidently say that Mrs. Vee is among the finest representatives of the brand.

I enjoyed the courtesy that they extended by letting me do an early check in as I was there for a formal event and needed to get dressed! The staff was really friendly and check-in was quick. The establishment was clean, comfortable and welcoming ❤️

We had to wait to get in room because it was not ready by 3pm. 3pm was the time i was told to arrive. I got in the room at 4:27pm.

The staff was very professional. They made sure that we had everything we needed. They were quick to get something that we might had needed. Very professional.

Staff was great as when we arrived the fire alarms were going off because of a power outage from a sudden rainstorm. The front desk person handled it well. The computers were down but all went well.

Our stay was very nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my request and needs. There were a couple of things about the room we noticed. The door was sticking or dragging the floor but it did close and lock. The tub wasn't draining quickly, water was standing while showering.and bathroom had a sewage smelled somewhat.

Hotel staff is super nice and pleasant. Bed was super soft. Area not so great. No restaurants other than fast food.

Close to the airport

I grew up in Rockingham NC, and went back to attend my 50th High School reunion. Was travelling alone so safety was a big factor for me. Haven't lived there since graduation. Felt safe and was very convenient to the reunion location. Great bed, helpful, nice staff and breakfast was good. Had a veggie omelette, sausage, and potatoes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's in Rockingham.

It’s a well maintained area considering where it is. (end of the lot). The staff is very friendly and informative also. This was my first time staying at this establishment and I’d would do it again.

Arrived after midnight due to us attending the Darlington Race. The sweet young lady at the counter was so welcoming and friendly! She checked us in and got us on our way to our room quickly which was nice because we were so tired from the day! The room was absolutely beautiful and exceptionally clean! Beds and pillows were very comfortable! Breakfast was really good!! We had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel!!

The breakfast was sooo good. The beds are so comfy and the staff is very friendly. I love that they have it fully stocked with the dove products in the bathrooms. Would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn Express!
