Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Bismarck Waterpark

I had read reviews of poor service at this hotel and decided to try it solely for the pool - I wish I would have paid more for better service now. The only positive of this hotel was our children getting to go down the slide. The man working the front desk was not interested in helping us or any of the other customers we saw him interact with. There were no towels left in the pool at 9 pm on a Friday night. We asked for more pool towels and he said it was too busy and they didn’t have any more. We then used our room towels so we didn’t need to walk back wet. Going back to the front desk, we asked for more room towels and he said they didn’t have those either - he didn’t bother looking up from his phone while texting. We said there were only 3 towels in our room to start with and we reserved the room for 4 people. After 12 hours in the car we all wanted to shower. He said we could come back to the hotel desk ourselves at 11pm and he would have towels ready. Heading back to our room to shower with our used pool towels, we found our pull out couch for our children had no bedding and none in the room. We were told we needed to come back down to the front desk to get bedding and pillows ourselves. Again, we reserved the room for 4 people so the hotel we had pre-paid services for, including housekeeping, can anticipate how many room towels, pool towels, and bedding we would need. We certainly felt like an inconvenience to the man working, which certainly became an inconvenience to

Pool says it opens at 6am but no lights or Waterpark were turned on

The hot tub timer knob was broken and very hard to turn on with rusty pliers. and the floor around the pool was very slippery. I saw 4 other quests and myself slip on the wet floor.

The property needs a little bit of a facelift but the staff seemed friendly and helpful. No towel hooks in the bathroom for towels, and always seemed to be short towels in the pool area.

The fitness room was my only complaint. The water cooler was empty, the tv didn’t work and the clock needs a battery!😬 Otherwise was very pleased!

Wouldn’t stay again. Asked for sheets and pillows for pull out and never got them. Asked for extra towels and they didn’t have any clean. Never had clean pool towels available. Pool had way too much chlorine. Breakfast was pretty bad. Waffle batter was sour.

We stayed as a family, 3 different rooms and we all had different rates? When in the poi area there were so many adults drinking inside the pool we pulled our kids for safety. Nice hotel but not for family

It was a decent hotel. The guest laundry facility was out of order so that was not good. We didn't try the breakfast because it was just like every other hotel breakfast. The worst thing I would say is that housekeeping started knocking on our door at 9am the morning we were checking out and came back about every 15 minutes which was super inconvenient when we were trying to pack up and had to keep stopping to answer the door. This was even after we said we are working to get checked out we'll let you know when we leave.

Pool closed for cleaning at 10am. Could have waited til check out at 11. Kids disappointed! Breakfast fair

Exercise room was a disaster. Only one thing worked. Filthy in exercise room, and the hotel in general. No water anywhere. Paint splatter all over the bathroom.

Was very dirty and ran down! There was toothpaste in our sink from the last people and black stuff in the shower that would have easily been gone if it was clean. There was hair on the sheets and there was no place to hang any towels. Extremely dirty and way over priced! Definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Room was Filthy. Hallways not much better.

This hotel is very run down. The deadbolt didn’t work on our door which left us feeling very unsafe while sleeping. The bathroom was dirty and when I brought it to the front desks attention they tried to gas light me and told me it wasn’t dirty (There was actual feces on the wall). The tub was dirty and dingy and had mold growing under the bath mat that looks like it has never been replaced.

The carpet was full of stains. Hasn’t been vacuumed at all. Trash on the floor by the bed. Used room key left behind. Dirty bathroom mirror. Hair in the bed sheets. Very dirty.

First off the we stayed in the multi bed queen suite for 2 nights. The bathroom had 2 towels and 1 hand towel and no wash clothes. The bathroom stunk of stinky feet. The shower curtain was reddish at the bottom and had black stains on each side of the curtain. Hair was wrapped around the toilet base. Doors had dirty hand marks and rust all over them. Towels stunk like they weren’t washed with detergent. The carpet was so dirty that your feet start to stick. My toddlers feet looked like she was walking on the street. The 2 nights we stayed I had to ask for pool towels every time we went swimming and each time they said they didn’t have any clean and Always in the washing machine. The morning of check out I went down to get more towels so my family could shower and the front desk person said all the towels were in the washer! The pool room was gross. Hair everywhere. the water slide stairs were moldy and dirty. The tiled flooring was super slippery. We won’t ever stay here again!

Room was average but needed maintenance attention and a deep clean. The bed was rock hard. Huge bleach stain in carpet right outside the door. Dog barking across the hall. People upstairs jumping on the floors at 1am and we had to be to the airport at 3am. Pool area in need of cleaning. Hallways are dirty.

This property was just plain dirty if I could post pictures I would. Stains on desk chair and sofa chain. Dried big smudges on bathroom door and what seemed like dried yogurt on bedroom curtains. Just plain nasty. My wife and I got in pretty late and it was just for the one night so we dealt with it. In the morning we headed down to grab some breakfast and it was the same only ourselves and another family in the eating area but all the tables were filthy not wiped down. This property has to be one of the most unclean places we have stayed at. Too bad because we’ve stayed at this brand of hotel before and been very happy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel needs a thorough cleaning to hopefully remove the faint oder of wet dog and vomit. The beds and pillows need to be replaced. The eggs that were served for breakfast were not consumable. The pool area is great, but that's not enough to get us to come back.

The bathroom walls and door were very rusted. The jetted tub was not clean and I had to clean it myself before using. Overall the appearance of the room was ok but I felt it could’ve been better. The appearance of the rusty bathroom just threw off the ambience of the room. Bed wasn’t comfy either. Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room we had was dirty, expesically the bathroom! Stains on the bedding, towels. The key cards from the people before us were still the roo. Will never stay here again!

Separate room and work space

The staff was so kind & helpful, a really great stay & the room was really clean. I loved the separation of bed quarters to the living room area.

Rooms were outdated, but clean except for the tub & the inside door frame of the bathroom. Just needs to be updated for sure

Ok. TV didnt work, but that was quickly addressed and we were moved to another room.

Breakfast is what you would expect not exceptional. The beds were very comfortable way above average.

Clean, comfortable, staff was very friendly, quick check in, nice swimming pool with slide. Will stay again when i come back.

Only issue we had was, there were two tv's in the suite. Neithwr remote worked. Stopped at desk and they said they would take care of. Only one worked then.

The noise level was terrible. Apparently every weekend, middle school hockey players descend on the town. The parents go to the bar and leave the tweeners on their own without adult supervision. I called the front desk after 10:30pm about the kids yelling and playing hockey in the hallway. She came up and yelled at them. The quiet lasted 5 minutes. I went out to the hallway at 11:45pm and gave my best "Mad Gma" voice. The talking stopped but the continual slamming of the doors went on until after 1am. Sought to change my room from the middle of the one hockey team the next day only to be told there was no rooms available and that it wouldn't matter as the noise would be the same. The best they could do was offer me a comp meal at their restaurant which was closed until 4pm. We left and found another place to stay. The facility itself was clean, beds were comfortable but the lack of adult supervision of middle school kids was unacceptable and the management allowed it with a shrug of their shoulders was sorely disappointing.

The room above us was very loud late into the night and the heater didn’t seem to work right and the room was very hot.

Front desk was always empty. Had to try different methods to find assistance.

Very nice stay. Met our grandsons there. They had a great time at the pool and at breakfast. Kumar at the front desk made check-in and our stay very enjoyable.

I have stayed here a couple of times in the last month and both times Kumar checked us in. He was very friendly and explained everything very well. So many employees these days do only what they need to and are not friendly. He was exceptional and should be recognized for his professionalism and friendliness!

Bad bad bad Front desk was inhumane and hung up on me. The manager was zero help due to the fact he would not even be bothered to hear or attempt to fix problems was to busy to deal with a guest. Refused to allow me to speak to anyone to fix my issues.

When checking in at 7pm, they asked us to do a review for them. Room was not ready when we got to the room, nothing had been done. They didn't believe me so they went to check. They said sorry it was marked as a clean room. They asked us to wait until the room was ready so even though it was late in the day, they didn't offer a different room. So I asked where is the public restroom, where it had no toilet paper. They apologized again and were arguing with each other. So we went to have something to eat. They were finishing the room while we were driving up, we were on the first floor and the curtains were open. We were in the pool (one slide not a water park as advertised) the next morning, they made everyone get out of the pool and it won't be back open til noon. When we got our bill they said because we used a discount app they would not give any discount for any of the issues (app gave a $20 discount), we paid over $150 a night. When I asked for something to make our time with them more pleasurable, they continued to argue so I asked if they still want me to give a review as requested when we checked in, they said go ahead. And stated we said sorry and that the room was marked clean so it wasn't their fault. Then wanted my email address so the manager can get ahold of me to discuss our stay. We haven't been contacted by management.

Vinny and the front desk staff helped me correct a reservation problem after failing to get resolution on the website.

The front desk manager was not friendly at all and was not accomodating to us sitting and visiting in the front lobby until 11pm. He was going to charge us $100 to use it for 45mins, ridiculous! Will never stay there again.

We stayed here overnight to be able to have a family night and swim. My kids loved the pool! I will say that I’d stay here again strictly for the pool. The one staff member was rather rude to my FIL who specifically requested a first floor room due to mobility issues. He was promised a room on first floor but ended up staying on third floor. There were stains on the bedding and the pull out couches in which you can use as another bed (esp since we had 2 adults and 3 kids) were dirty with food crumbs in the sheets. The breakfast was decent!

I was very disappointed with our stay this time. When arriving, the night employee did not know how to check me in as I had used Expedia to book. It took more than 15 minutes to get my keys and only after she informed me that my “digital card” used on the app was declined and needed a different form of payment. I had to show her my receipt that it had been paid and my online banking to show the debit had been made. Some how she conveniently figured out the process after this. The room we were given was not clean. The bathroom floor had Cheetos and hair on it, the bathroom counter had dust and an earring back on it. There were dirty marks/smears and what appeared to be blood spots on the walls and door. The extra blankets were not folded and were literally mushed into the closet as if they were left there from the last occupants. Lastly, the bathroom toilet was not fully functional. Toilet paper would not even flush. The building definitely needs some upkeep and the staff needs some additional training to say the least.

Spacious, clean and comfortable. Great service. Good breakfast. Priced accordingly. Easy access from the Interstate. Great location for food and dining. Located on the edge of a residential neighborhood, so it is safe area for walking.

I would stay here again, clean and quiet location. Close to resturants and shopping.

Room and hotel was decently clean but had some wear and tear. Seemed to be in a decent area around resturaunts within walking distance, which was nice. Room was very warm/muggy when we arrived but AC worked well to cool it down.

This was such a great stay! The room was clean and modern, the shower pressure was perfect! We truly enjoyed the breakfast! Close to all kinds of restaurants, shopping and the highway to minot!

I only stayed one night but I enjoyed the convenience of the location

The pool was perfect for our two boys with a giant slide, the room itself was clean enough but the bathroom was NOT. Hair all over the shower and bathroom as well as a huge layer of dust on the top of the shower. We stay at multiple hotels every month and this was the worst continental breakfast we’ve ever had. The eggs were sour and we ended up paying to go out to breakfast.

The continental breakfast was horrible!!! The powdered eggs tasted like powder. The syrup for the waffles tasted awful. Left bad after taste! Coffee was not fresh.

I liked that it was quiet, friendly staff, swimming pool was nice & clean, room was comfortable and clean. The one thing I did not like was breakfast. I liked the options provided, however, the quality and taste of the food items was poor in comparison to other hotels with the same offerings. This one thing would make me stay elsewhere unfortunately as it is one of the deciding factors in where we stay. We have 3 kids and the convenience of a hot breakfast is important and not having to leave to get it. Both mornings the breakfast was terribly disappointing. Overall, we would stay again but I hope to have a better breakfast experience. Thank you.

Clean, quiet, and very nice place to stay. The family just loves the slide and pool area. Breakfast was great.
