Days Inn by Wyndham Bismarck

At check in they make you get a key app on the phone. They also said that I booked a one bed room and I booked a double queen room online. The key app is terrible and can only be used by one person. They charge for elecronic key cards. My husband got an electronic key card and it canceled my key on the key app. I then went to the front desk since my key app wasn't working, so they gave me an electronic key and it canceled my husband's key. The conditioner and bodywash were empty in the shower. There is no elevator. The internet wasn't working, which means the TV was also not working. The fitness room is just 3 different cardio machines. It's a place to sleep and the beds okay, but I would never stay here again.

No control of heat other than opening window in winter. Fridge and microwave not operational. Broken furniture. Dirty carpets in corners and behind side table. Hot tub not functional in pool area.

The room was good other than noisy neighbor, the pool area was so dark, and the hot tub stopped working. That was the reason we booked this hotel

Pool heater didn’t work wasn’t warned about till I arrived and had already paid, multiple drunk people that made the hot tub uncomfortable while trying to relax.one had got right up in my personal space far too much. Part of the bed had a round piece of metal stick out that I slide my leg down removing skin when I went to get on the bed. While they had said that the pool hours were 11pm it was well past midnight before I quit heating yelling from that area. Just a horrible experience from top to bottom will never stay again as we have stayed multiple times in Bismarck for soccer tourneys. Will make sure to avoid and tell other members of the soccer club to avoid too. Worst hotel experience I’ve had.

Our room door was very difficult to open. Once open - when shut again from outside it could be opened without key card. Bed Pillows were strange. Half the size of regular pillows. Won’t stay there again and will not recommend. Needs Major remodel

First the tv didn’t work, toilet kept running, and it was dirty and small. Then they sent us to another room next door that had black mold but the tv worked and we were so tired after driving 12 hours we just stayed. Would not recommend. Also went to workout in the morning at their “fitness facility” ( treadmill, elliptical, and bike were the only things in the room) but one of them worked!

This property is old and not kept up very well. The lamp shade in our room was damaged, the floors may have been vacuumed but the carpet was so old it didn't help. The shower head fell off, my husband put it back on. The hot tub had jets that put out as much as a person blowing a bubble. The one GOOD thing was the made to order breakfast. Surprisingly good for a free breakfast, and the cook was very congenial and pleasant. Put some major bucks into this facility and it will help.

Pool heater was not working, lobby smelt like smoke, hallways were filled with marijuana smoke, floor of room near bottom of bed has not been vacuumed, no Kleenex, no bday wash in shower. Door was insanely hard to open.

This place was dirty the floors and bathroom was disgusting and our key cards had to be changed every day because they stopped working. I was never asked for my id at check in which i thought was odd. An icecream bar was on the floor in the hall for 2 days it was finally picked up but no one cleaned or mopped the floor where it layed. The toilet was dirty and barely flushed the tub looked dirty, caulk was missing and moldy in multiple places.

The place stank of marijuana and cigarettes, the room was super dirty, the bathroom was full of urine, and when I went to the front desk to ask for assistance to even clean the bathroom, there was no one to help me.

Bathroom was filthy around the toilet, on the walls and tub and mold on the ceiling The bed frame was out and when you get up it gouged my bad leg There was dirt, lint and stuff all over the pillows so we didn’t use the pillows and sleeping on top of the bedding in case they were filthy. My son paid 100$ for a week in a hotel and it looks as tho it’s a 5 star. This would equal to a no star

First, we were given a room that stunk to high heavens, enough to make you sick. Second room was filthy but had been sprayed with Lysol or some other disinfectant. We were offered a "suite". but it only had one bed and there were three of us. Then we were given a room on the second floor that had not been cleaned or beds changed or made. Bathroom was filthy with mold all around the tub. The toilet was not anchored down and moved around when you sat on it. The face of one of the drawers was off and leaning against to wall. I replaced it so as not to be charged for the "damage". When we brought the above to the attention of the desk clerk, she became agitated and made rude comments about us to another clerk or possibly a manager. Needless to say, we will never stay there again.

We checked in, went for supper and then checked out. The hotel had good reviews and a high rating but was very far from those good ratings. The front desk needs an update and looked dirty. The hallway was dirty, the walls were scuffed. The room was dark. The walls were messy patched stucco and screw holes where the air conditioner had been. There was dried blood on the pillow. The smell made both of us instantly feel sick. Hoping Expedia can help us get a refund. Checked into another hotel immediately. Not a great way to start a trip.

First room. Bathroom wasn’t even clean. Hair in the tub, waste in the toilet and a fake nail on the floor. 2nd room we were moved to the door barely worked was afraid to leave my room as it took 5 plus minutes to get the door open every time. Pool was dark and dirty.

The staff was great and very friendly. The surrounding area has a lot with walking distance. The room however was dank and had a weird odor. For some reasons the pillows were all small, like travel pillows. Some of the lights didn’t work and the tub had mold in the caulk lines.

This place was absolutely filthy. When we pulled into the parking lot, the woman working the evening shift was outside the front door smoking. When we went in, she never greeted us u til we said hello, but it was clear that we interrupted her smoke break. When we got to the first room, it had a terrible stench and then noticed that the tub was inundated with black mold and a huge wad of hair in the drain. We went back downstairs and asked for another room, and that one was even worse….same stench, and even more mold. Went back downstairs to ask for a refund, only to find the desk clerk outside smoking again. She said she would okay the refund if the third party entity would agree to it.

The back door to go to the rooms from the outside is broken and therefore stays unlocked. Room was pretty dirty and the ac has black mold on it. The only good thing I can say is the linen was clean and there was enough for my stay.

Room wasn’t vacuumed before our stay. Comforters had blood stains. Sink and tubs wouldn’t drain. Broken dresser drawer sitting next to tv. TV’s wouldn’t work.

Sheets and bedspread appeared to be clean but had several dark stains; one like had been blood. Room stuffy and had no AC

First room given, door handle broken, 2nd room toilet running, had to remove tank top and repair it. No desk and chair, I had computer work to do, no microwave, no fridge, tiny room, terrible wifi, had to switch to cellular data. Great breakfast

We have stayed here many times in the past with no complaints. On this stay, when my wife took a shower there was no shampoo in the bottle. Thay have shampoo and conditioner bottles secured to the shower wall. They apparently just put a new TV in the room, a nice big smart TV that has to be connected to the internet to stream all of the channels. You would think that it would be all set up and connected to the internet, but no it wasn't. Of course they give you their WIFI password when you check in, but I tried several times to get the TV to connect to their WIFI but it never would. I used my Hotspot on my phone and it worked with no problem. The light fixture in the bathroom has three bulbs in it but only one was working. The sink in the bathroom barely drained. The air conditioner/heater looks like it was replaced and there are gaps along the sides that I could feel air blowing into the room. I took towels and stuffed them in the gaps to keep the air and the fly's out. We stay in Bismarck quite a bit and we don't stay at the fancy places with all the perks, we don't need them. A little maintenance goes a long way. I don't usually leave a review but this was not a good stay!

Great hotel on a budget, clean and comfortable. My only complaints are that the big fancy TV did not work (said it was not connected to internet, so I guess it was just a “decoration”), and the breakfast was lacking (only margarine and grape jelly with the toast? Not cream cheese or peanut butter?). It is possible the guy was just setting it up, I was there kind of early, and he seemed to be huffing and puffing. I ended up having Raisin Bran.

The bed was in such poor condition that my wife and I were pinched to the middle of the mattress like a taco.

The room itself was quite clean. The locks on the doors need to be updated! Closed the door practically slamming it & came back & was able to open it without key. On several other occations, the key card just would not open the door. Walls in hotel are paper thin! We could hear screaming children all night, TVs playing & even went to get ice with my daughters having to listen to the bow chicka bow wow coming from a room. The woman who checked us in was very friendly & informative. The guy behind her probably could have been more helpful to her with answering phones while she was checking people in. Breakfast was meh. If your interested in the whole fresh eggs/sausage/bacon then your golden. If your like me who can't eat those things, you'll be disappointed with no waffle maker, pastries etc. The pool area was clean & the bathroom area with shower was nice. Fitness room has 3 pieces of equipment in a small room. Some weights would have been cool. Heading out the door anyone who walked by at the same time as me got a ear full of employees bantering about another employee needing to care about their job & so on. "Thanks for staying," or.. "We hope you enjoyed your stay!" would have been a lot more professional then 4 trips back & forth with our stuff listening to the hotel drama.

Room was noisy. Carpet was dirty, almost 'sticky' to the touch. Top drawer of the entertainment center was broken, the broken front of the drawer was left leaning against the wall as you enter the room. There was a hole in the wall above the 'desk' with capped wires exposed. The bed looked like it was sat on, so i double checked the sheets, and they were clean, but not put on the bed very neatly or tightly, so i remade the bed. We had stayed at this property before, so a bit disappointed in how our room was. Oh, also i could not connect to the wi-fi.

The beds and the pillows were very comfortable! The staff was pleasant. We had to keep in mind that this was not THEIR hotel, they just worked there. We saw awards in the lobby from 2012. Everything about this hotel dates farther back than that. It's terribly in need of a gut job and remodel. Sheets and towels were stained. We booked for 2 nights and stayed because it was non-refundable. Never again. Our check-in guy was awesome and the gentleman who cooked our Sunday breakfast was fantastic.

Dated hotel and rooms. Thermostat was broken and we weren’t able to control the temperature. Lights didn’t work. Few places to plug things in. Key lock on the door worked only after several attempts. Not worth the $100 to stay a night. I will not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

This was a last minute booking due to a family member’s medical emergency at the local hospital. The staff here has been wonderful! I would stay here again.

Front desk staff was beyond rude to customers ahead of us and to us.

I would not go back to this hotel if you paid me. If you can go anywhere else in Bismarck, do it! Terrible service. Room I booked on Expedia didn't match what I got, but refused to give me any accusations. Manager was downright disrespectful and rude when confronted. Told me if the room wasn't what I wanted that it was early enough in the day to find something else but would not issue a refund, despite the room not being at all what I selected. Run down hotel. Dresser was missing a drawer, closet door was off its tracks and just leaning there, hair all over in the shower, banged up walls, stained carpet. Dimly light and creepy hallways and pool (which the water was dirty and cloudy) was cold and over treated with way too much chlorine. I travel with my family a lot and I can not stress enough to go elsewhere. There a lot better places in Bismarck that won't bait and switch you and then treat you like just another dollar bill. These people don't want you to enjoy your stay, they just want your money.

At check in the staff were chaotic, unorganized, and looked unprofessional. When we got to our room there was no handsoap, lotion, or conditioner in the bathroom. The tv was not connected to the wifi, that didn't reach that room, so the only way to watch tv was to connect it to my phone's hotspot. The bed was also uncomfortable. The only reason I didn't go back to the front desk was because I felt very confident the 2 guys there would not have a resolution for anything.

Front desk, Amber, was very helpful. Wednesday morning,the cook made the best scrambled eggs!!!!!

I liked the breakfast and the room was acceptable. Finding plug for all the electronics one typically has was a challenge, but I recharged everything in shifts. The room key policy is unacceptable. They want you upload a "room key" on your phone. If you do not want to load the app, they charge $5 (non-refundable) for a key card. If you upload the app and lock your phone in the room, they will issue a key card at no cost. I WANT MY $5 BACK!

The staff was exceptional. Friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was great- we checked in late at night so didn’t get the little order sheets but it was not a hassle to get them from the front desk in the morning/we also booked one day too many and the management was able to help us cancel it without Trouble- they were so Nice!

The staff all were extremely kind and helpful especially Mo at the front desk. The room was comfortable and the beds were very soft. The hot breakfast was so convenient and well cooked. I would stay here again and would recommend highly to friends and family. Thank you for all you did over the two weeks we were guests!!

Good price and good location for easy and short access to the places I needed to go.

When we arrived Door B (the door we were told to use) the latch was broken. Some people were also having a tailgating party and were parked right by the door. We had to walk around garbage and beer cans. At least in the morning when we left they were picked up.

I liked the location. Very easy to find my way.

My room smelled terribly and police were constantly there. Guests in old vehicles with no/loud mufflers were regularly being started up in the parking area outside my room. Someone's 1980/s truck sat in the parking area both days with a floor jack under the front axle. The room windows did not seal and I heard a constant whistle of wind all night with a constant light ND March Winter breeze blew through my room (not even that would get rid of the smell!).

Unaware of construction going on nearby, kept awake most of the night by sounds of concrete saws and drills. Also annoyed by loudness of other guests near soda machines, along with a lot of unsavory people smoking and hanging around the entrance we were told to use

it is right off the interstate for easy access on and off an there is a good number of restaurants in the areas.

It’s at the corner of a busy intersection and entrance was hard to find.

The room itself was clean and was fine. But you could hear the people in the room over. Also, you could hear people yelling outside all night. Walking into the side door there was multiple people just standing around and smoking weed. We even got to watch someone get arrested from outside our room window. Wouldn’t stay here again.

When I entered room 112, I was immediately confronted by an offensive odor. I opened the window as much as I could to dispel the odor. Then I left. When I returned to sleep for the night, I found the odor was giving me a headache. Wanda, the desk clerk, was helpful in giving me another room, for which I was most grateful. The cook did not show up in the morning, so there was no hot breakfast. I stayed at this hotel 3 years ago, and it was much better then. they really need to get their act together.

Their breakfast was like a restaurant with made to order eggs and hash browns!!! I was in town for two certification tests and I’m sure the breakfast helped!

The room was very comfortable. It was very quiet. The TV was great because it was big enough that I didn't have any issues seeing without my glasses. And the hygiene supplies in the shower. Like the shampoo body, wash conditioner and lotion were amazing. They smelled good. They smelt very fresh and cleansing on my body. It was just great all the way around. Breakfast was awesome.I showed up kind of late in to the breakfast but they provided me with ample food very quickly and it tasted delicious

The property was being worked on so it was not at its best. We chose the facility for its location and the"made to order" breakfast. The location worked well but the made to order breakfast was disappointing. Most of the food was pre-cooked and eggs were only available at an additional charge.

Nice, average hotel to stay in. It was quiet place to stay at a decent cost. The breakfast was fabulous. It's probably what will keep me coming back.

Totally adequate for a place to sleep and a shower. Fresh made breakfast was an unexpected bonus.
