Magnolia Omaha Downtown - Old Market

We had an amazing stay for our one year wedding anniversary. The staff were all friendly. The front desk made sure we had everything we need. We also got a complimentary bottle of champagne in our fridge. Our shuttle service was amazing! 100% would stay again!

We had a terrible experience at this hotel, we had booked this hotel specifically because of its shuttle service to and from the airport. Upon arrival, we called the hotel to confirm the shuttle’s pickup, but they informed us that due to a shortage, they couldn’t pick us up. They suggested we take a taxi or Uber instead. It was clear that we weren’t their top priority, as they had other passengers scheduled for pickup at the same time and left us out. The primary reason we had booked with this hotel was to avoid Uber and taxis, as our destination was within walking distance from the hotel. However, the front desk lady at the hotel was incredibly rude and unfriendly from the moment we entered. On our last day, we needed the shuttle back to the airport. The same person who had been so unhelpful earlier was the one assisting us again. She was upset that we had asked for the shuttle and insisted that we had to be on the shuttle schedule, not a last-minute option. She refused to check our reservation until I insisted so many times to check and sure enough we were on the schedule. To make matters worse, the driver received a phone call from the front desk lady while we were on the shuttle back to the airport. The driver was yelled at by the same front desk lady. The poor driver was visibly embarrassed and felt terrible about the situation. This experience has left us deeply disappointed and has made us decide never to book with this hotel again.

Located 3 blocks from down town "Old Market". Tons of shops and restaurants, bars! The hotel rate was good but the parking cost at $32/day made it just ok.

Historic building but kind of old, dirty vibes. Exterior door lock to parking area was broken, didn’t appreciate the lack of security there. Free stay for dogs was a plus.

Shuttle did not pick me up from airport although it was scheduled. I had to pay out of pocket for Uber. Once I got to hotel, I was locked outside in the cold for 20 minutes before staff let me in. There was no hairdryer and I had to run around with wet hair, there were no robes as advertised, there was no water for the coffee pot. At breakfast, the eggs were cold and the potatoes were burned. I sent it back and was told we would only be charged for our drinks, the hotel charges us for the meals anyway. We had late checkout and the cleaning staff barged into our room without knocking prior to our late checkout time. I will never stay at the hotel again and if I could, I would refuse to pay for such a horrible experience. The hotel was pretty but it does not make up for the horrible stay we had

Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Housekeeping was very loud at 8am. $32 for parking is ridiculous.

Property was very nice and loved the convenience of the downstairs bar/restaurants. On site parking was safe and secure however it is expensive even if you self park.

Nice place. Price was right. The history and location was just right. Van ride from airport to hotel and back was right on time. Complimentary historical postcards is a nice touch.

Usually this is our favorite hotel to stay at in Omaha. We were really disappointed at the cleanliness this time. There was hair in our shower and on the carpet, the carpets on the floor hallway were unclean and stained, two sets of elevators were broken. The staff were excellent and valet was also excellent.

After changing rooms twice our room was fine. The first room hadn’t been cleaned prior to our check in. Still had trash on the floor from previous guests as well as food leftovers and sticky residue on nightstands. The staff were helpful and moved us to a second room but unfortunately the air conditioning didn’t work in that room so we were moved to a third room and that room was fine. Parking was convenient and hotel within walking distance to shops and dining. Again even though room conditions were not good, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful .

The staff were very nice and attentive! The room was beautiful and yes clean.

Lovely historic hotel! I've traveled all over the U.S. and this was probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. It's just a few blocks to the old market area, close but not too close to the interstate. We will stay again on our next visit to Omaha.

The ambiance was great! Staff was also amazing! Just a little disappointed how dirty it was. Hair ties randomly on the floor, confetti was never picked up from the previous guest, and the floors had a bunch of stains.

The carpeting in the room and hallway was dirty. The rooms were not ready. The check in staff didn’t see it was an issue.

Property has aged. Rooms and hall way smell musty and like animal urine.

My experience could have been more pleasant. Upon checking into my room, I immediately noticed it was not clean. To my horror, as I inspected the bed for bed bugs, I discovered empty alcohol bottles under the mattress. This was extremely off-putting and made me question the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the room. Additionally, I did not have a good night's sleep due to feeling like I was sleeping in dirty sheets. The overall hygiene of the room was highly questionable, and it left me feeling very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I arrived late at night and had no choice but to stay there. This was a disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to others based on the state of the room and the lack of cleanliness.

The facility seemed nice at the lobby. The rooms however, it felt as if the carpet hadn’t been cleaned since the inauguration of the hotel. In the bathroom we saw hair tangled in the drain floating with the water. I wouldn’t be surprised that they don’t change the bedsheets and their cookies are terrible. Other than that, the location is downtown so there are plenty of spots to eat, it’s pretty quiet, and yes, they are pet friendly. It was easy checking in and out.

Super clean and it felt safe. Great location to walk to several restaurants, theaters, the Old Market and CHI conference center.

While the lobby is beautiful, my room has seen better days. There was rust on the bathroom vanity, paint flaking off the walls, missing gauze curtains (the inner rail was there, but no gauze curtain), damaged curtains, and paint layered over flaking paint ("landlord special" style). Regarding housekeeping, the linens, carpet, and bathroom seemed clean, but there were dead bugs along the windowsills and the coffee machine was missing a carafe, making me wonder what else they might be forgetting when they clean. The shower had pitiful water pressure and was barely able to reach a tolerably warm temperature. My stay wasn't awful, but it was disappointing. The whole room has a sense of a lovely renovation that's now crumbling from neglect.

Lovely hotel, room was quite large, walkable to so many things in the Old Market. Will definitely stay there again!

Everything about this hotel is mediocre. The room does not have any outstanding amenities, the tv is very old and does not have a guide, the shampoo dispenser fell apart on me, the staff booked me complimentary car service to go to dinner and they never showed up. Had to book a last minute Uber so we didn’t miss our reservation. Truly nothing remarkable about this hotel. Will not be back.

The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. The BEST pillows. Great location, great vibes, and great staff.

The only complaint is the slow WiFi. It’s terribly slow.

The surrounding area is in a seedy part of downtown, you don’t want to be walking around after dark. The shuttle is completely unreliable. I called a day ahead of time to arrange for the airport shuttle to take me to the hotel and it never arrived, i had to call the hotel 3 times and each time was promised the driver was on their way to the airport. The hotel staff did apologize for this however and were very kind in their response. I tried to use the shuttle again as it is advertised it will run within a 3 mile radius, it was not available once again. The standard rooms are on the smaller side compared to other hotels. The bathrooms have a sliding door which is fine to close but opening is a bit difficult. The showers are built on a narrow platform so you have to step up in order to climb into the shower. They do have a safety handrail against the wall. The showers have a thin curtain barrier so water does pour onto the floor even if you’re being careful. The facility is kept clean and the staff is friendly. However, the lounge is kept locked when the bar is closed which is between 2 and 4pm and immediately after 10 pm on weekdays. The courtyard is very pretty and available anytime but if the weather is inclement there wouldn’t be anywhere else to commune outside of your individual hotel room. It would be a pretty venue for a wedding as I’m sure they open up more of the hotel common areas in that case, and it’s just fine for an overnight stay.

Great hotel with a lot of character to it. Never heard a noise, shower set up is not ideal as the curtain doesn’t keep the water in the shower, tv needs upgraded, bed was super comfy. Overall we would stay here again.

I stayed in the executive loft. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Loved the lay out. For those who do not know, please note the bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. No water or sink in the living room area downstairs. I would stay again but water downstairs would be nice if you want to make coffee. Glasses up stairs n the bathroom would be great as well. A few little things I would change but still a wonderful room and AMAZING staff.

This place is super cute but the rooms have paper thin walls to the point you can hear the room next door urinating.

Alfred was the best and most cordial front desk host that I have met in a long time traveling. His respect and dignity that he displayed toward me as a customer and my coworker was top notch. I will stay here again just because of his service, attitude and attention to details. A man that demonstrated compassion and care for a fellow human being that we were able to observe one evening. 5 star service

Front hotel staff was not very friendly or accommodating. We arrived for check in around 3:10 and asked if we could get in prior to the 4pm check in time. They asked for my cell and I said we would just wait. I was told it should not be long probably a few minutes, so we waited in the lobby. While we waited we watched several people with no reservation show up and check in to a room immediately and others with a reservation show up and get their keys immediately. While we waited the staff chatted with each other and did not address us once. Finally at 3:55 my husband went up to ask about our room questioning that others have shown up with and without reservations and no one else waited for a room. We were then told he could switch to a different room to get us in a room right away. Why this wasn’t offered at check in and we waited for so long is a mystery. The staff at the desk was not very friendly or accommodating. I chose to change and cancel our next two bookings at the hotel to find one that has more of a customer service attitude. The resturaunt was good and staff was excellent as was the room attendant and room service.

There were a few good staff but they were completely overshadowed by one of the rudest, oddest front desk employees I have ever encountered. It was a very expensive stay and we had booked 3 rooms but it was not worth what we paid. I will not be staying there again and I would not recommend others to stay there until they get the staffing situation corrected and modify the prices.

Very nice boutique hotel. Our only complaint is not enough staff. Only one person working the front desk with people waiting three deep. And only one person staffed in the restaurant for breakfast- seating and serving. Our coffee didn’t arrive until after we had almost finished eating. Lisa, our shuttle driver was awesome.

The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Conveniently located.

Great stay! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the restaurant was very cute, and gave off an early 1920s vibe, with delicious food and excellent cocktails. The front desk was amazing and went above and beyond for me. I have a 5 year old, and at check in she was very tired. One gentleman came from behind the counter and got her some of the complimentary cookies and milk to perk her up. When I went outside to unload the car my child stayed in the lobby, the woman who checked us in didn't see her, so she came outside looking for her to make sure she was okay! That was above and beyond what she needed to do, but knowing she was concerned about my child's safety, meant the world. 10/10 recommend! If I ever go back to Omaha, this is where I am staying!

Gorgeous hotel, and the staff was extremely friendly and just amazing.

Concierges and shuttle drivers are top notch!

The service was pathetic. They don’t clean your rooms. We waited thinking maybe it was every 2 days, so we finally asked on day 3 and they said it was by request only. We then requested. They did not make our bed, just brought new towels and took out the trash. Day 4 we specifically asked for a full cleaning and to have sheets changed. Again they didn’t make our bed, just dropped off new sheets and towels, didn’t take dirty cups or anything. We returned the sheets to the front desk explaining we don’t plan to change our own sheets. So in a 7 night stay we got new towels twice, never had a bed made and trash taken out twice. We rinsed and reused our glasses. We were supposed to get a free bottle of wine upon arrival, they never brought it. We don’t drink do we didn’t complain, but it is just further evidence of the awful customer service. The hotel is very nice, the room was nice, the customer service was awful!! We were close to the back door on the bottom floor and the walls are pretty thin so we could hear anytime people were talking in the hall or by the back door. You could also hear anytime the room next to us was running water.

Great place to stay when you’re going to the Orpheum.

The property was stunning. Loved the architecture and staff when we checked in were very friendly and welcoming. The dinner and service at the restaurant was excellent. The area around the hotel felt unsafe.

Love this hotel. 2-minute walk from the Orpheum Theatre and about an 8-minute walk from all downtown has to offer. Great service, comfy beds.

The property was beautiful and we greatly appreciated the history. The restaurant is slightly overpriced, but convenient. We would go back for the nightly milk and cookies alone!

Bed and sheets were very comfortable. Restaurant food and drinks were great and staff what fantastic. Will stay here again next time I am in Omaha.

This is a beautiful refurbished Hotel with wonderful amenities. Cookies before you go to bed, delicious coffee in the morning. Restaurant on site. Highly recommended.

We went to the Bob Dylan concert, we got back to the hotel 9:50, said they were no longer serving that the bar closes at 10, seems odd when you have an event happening and you close down your bar. We wanted to have breakfast the next morning and it was locked up. We were told the cook had a family emergency. The location was great for our concert at the Orpheum across the street but it’s unlikely we will stay at the Magnolia again.

Not very clean. Old bathroom that needs renovations. Understaffed. Service in the restaurant slow but good. Food is good. Cheesecake was the best that we ever ate.

Staff was very accommodating. Quiet and easy walk to ORPHEUM. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It’s classy, the service is great, rooms are clean and spacious, and the hotel bar and restaurant is really good, too. This place also has nice touches like cookies and milk in the lobby at night, and cold water and coffee during earlier parts of the day.
