There’s only 1 pool Which turned out to be okay there is no arcade on site but it is right up the street there was no breakfast included And the room and Hotel REEKS of Smoke Best thing was the 1 pool and the walking distance to the beach

The staff at check in was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and because I was early they gave me a room that was ready before mine. They were also helpful with any questions I asked. Wish the pool would have been open longer. After a very long time in the sun and enjoying the Boardwalk we could have used the pool.

The staff was helpul . The rooms need to be updated , painted, different bedding. Mattress was excellent. We thought the pool was open, it was drained and being worked on. There were alot of homeless people around and we understand that is out of their control. The Cafe next door was a grand plus. Not sure if I would return.

The area is a little shady but no problems. I wouldn't walk alone at night unless there was another person or group. Pool wasn't opened. Had to ask for a mini fridge which they quickly gave us. No coffee pot in the room. No shuttle to the Boardwalk. Room was small for 4 adults

Room was clean, AC was nice and cold, staff was helpfull and attentive to any questions or concerns. Got me extra blankets with no issues. Only dislikes were small perking space had to leave keys, a bit noisy whike trying to sleep, hall ways getting to the room needed some TLC, they have peeling wall paper and carpets need some cleaning.

Property is decent for the most part, nice pool, good price and conveniently located within walking distance of the beach and boardwalk, it’s nice they have off street parking if you drive down don’t have to pay for parking or anything and you can walk to stores nearby I had no complaints will book again, clean room, decent cable and fair price I enjoyed my stay

Parking at the hotel is not ideal. Cars pull 3 deep under the hotel and you give your keys to the desk attendant. If you are parked in the back spot and the person in the front spot needs out, they move your car. I didn't like that idea at all. There is an open lot next to the hotel where you can also park, so we parked there. The hotel had a smell of cigarettes and weed. The bathroom had a red stain in the corner behind the door that looked like blood. The towels were like sand paper and covered in hair. The hotel is in need of a major update! The hotel served it's purpose for 1 night but we would not stay there again

Definitely would stay again for a night or two. Room was comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Parking was free. Pool looked very nice. Only drawback was no mini fridge. No coffee maker but the cafe downstairs had my breakfast ready to be pick-up in less than 20 minutes!

Location was very noisy, room was dirty, smelling of smoke. It was difficult for me and my son to breathe. It was a nightmare, i checked out as soon as i checked in. The only good thing was the valet parking

The hotel was not clean. Bed skirt had stains all over it. The carpet was extremely dirty. The bathroom very old and run down with rust everywhere. And the bed sheets smelled like perfume. The area was much worse. And it was not cheap by any means. Might have expected it if it was cheap. Will not stay again. Staff was nice though, check in went easy and fast.

Giant roach in our room. Filthy mirrors, bathroom. Iron is erratically placed on its holder. For some reason the mini fridge is placed on the desk. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a while. Left immediately. The google maps rating is a lie. It’s a 1 star hotel.

I stayed at the Howard the 29th of November, I extended my stay until the 1st. The beds were nicely made but the carpet is outdated old and dirty. I was laying in bed and started to itch on my left arm. The itching didn’t stop I then hopped up and looked at my sheets and there was a tiny bedbug. I gathered my things and left. I will never stay here again.

Dirty room with with a bad smell. Headboard was peeling and there was pubic hair on the bathtub. It was so bad that I just checked out the same day. Avoid at all cost.

First day I arrived there was hair trimmings in the bathtub and on the toilet. The bathroom floor was dirty and the room smelled musty. I noticed multiple strands of hair under the sheets. For clean towels we were asked to grab them from the front desk instead of someone brining it up to us and only provided 3 towels at a time (which could barely fit around an adult due to the small size). Housekeeping only came once out of the whole week we stayed. We also had leave our car keys at the front desk each time we returned just in case they needed to move it for another car. Overall I wouldn’t recommend from my experience.

The costs were extremely high for the property area/ Interior room space with no updates any where in the building/ expecially in the bathroom area with stained tiles/ toilet/ old worn smelly carpet etc old outdated television / no smart abilities to stream iTunes video for entertainment purposes for young children

The Front desk was very nice their customer service sks were expressive.we arrived about 30 minutes before check-in and they checked us in right away. They also accommodated us with a 1 hour later check-out with no problem at all.The hotel smelled very clean and disinfected. The rooms were extremely clean also I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Close to the boardwalk. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The area around the hotel is a bit rundown with trash littering the streets. Nevertheless, I did not observe any other reason to think the place was unsafe. It was a good stay for a relatively low cost night in Atlantic City.

I had a good experience there. Staff was good. They have a wonderful diner for breakfast. I haven’t eaten there for lunch, but I’m sure that’s good too. I’ve been going there for 10 years. Consistent food good portions. I would definitely go back there.

Howard Johnson is a hidden gem in Atlantic City.mainly because of the super helpful staff and clean building.they are soon to open the pool.the restaurant within has not so good breakfast food,it seems to be rushed and not fresh.the cashier is not friendly at all.it is clean and always crowded.the hotel price is very reasonable.I have stayed here many times and will again.

Clean rooms and lobby. Just a regular hotel no bells and whistles. Perfect for a a few nights stay. Close to the casinos and the river restaurant attached is a great breakfast spot! You do pay for breakfast though.

The hotel is conveniently located 5 mins away from the boardwalk. The staff is polite and helpful, and Perry’s Cafe is located on the first floor. A good option for a low budget getaway!
