Boardwalk Resorts - Flagship

We enjoyed our three night stay. The rooms were clean as were the common areas. The pool area was large and our son had fun swimming, however that area could use renovating, hot tubs were down while we were there. It was very walkable and the boardwalk is right in front with the beach access a short walk down from the entrance. The balcony was large, didnt come with any furniture, but nice to stand on in the mornings. There were bike rentals/basketball court/playground and mini golf right next door which was a great find! We also used the shuttle that takes you to other areas of the city and the driver was very good, with a party bus feel. That was a highlight for our 8 yr old. I found the gravel parking lot on the side very convenient easier in and out than garage. The kitchen was stocked with basic amenities and was great to have. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Other than being near the concert venue we were attending, I don’t have any complimentary words for The Flagship. Outside of the ground and 7th floors, everything needed an upgrade or replacement. And had I known the parking garage was closed and we would be scrambling for an unmarked space in an open gravel lot or spot on the street, we would have made a different choice.

The pool is not open but yet you pay resort fees? I think a portion of the resort fee should be refunded as all the amenities of the resort are not available, Signs everywhere saying pool closed UFN?

The property is nicely situated on the inlet and has lots of amenities. Though the amenities were present, they were not convenient as they have varied and limited hours. We went to the restaurant, which has a beautiful view of the inlet, but waited an hour to be served and eventually left without eating. The property did not seem well cared for as there were several lightbulbs that were burned out in the unit where we stayed. In addition, this resort did not provide wifi and they requested that we remove our own trash and strip the beds. Ultimately, it was not the experience that we expected and were glad we only chose a one night stay.

There were only two elevator working and I was on the 22 floor so it was a lot of waiting.

My stay was nice. Loved the scenery. The view from my balcony was beautiful. Cons: elevators and the wait times for the elevators. Staff would reprogram the elevators to go to them directly causing guests long waits to get to and from their floor. Overall nice vacation resort.

I loved the room and the balcony. Nice view of inlet. Elevators are best in AC in my opinion. Location is great for walking. Parking is also cheapest I've had here. $8 Arrived for the snowstorm and made it that much better. Pool is out of commission so that was bummer. Overall would recommend. If you need casino, oceans and hard rock are 10-15 mon walk.

The whole experience was absolutely horrible. The front desk staff were very unprofessional and rude. They are STILL doing construction on floor and in the garage.

For it to be a resort it was very outdated and everything inside of it closed to early from the pools to the dining. You have to pay for parking as well which was ridiculous.

The view from our room was amazing. The room was a bit outdated but kept clean. The absolute worse were the elevators. The programming should be updated and for our short stay, we consumed a great deal of time waiting for the elevators. As we were on a higher floor, the stairs were not an option either.

Room had water leaking through the window which soaked the carpet. Door to balcony had a huge gap so it constantly let in noise and loud wind. Room was poorly cleaned and had some mold.

Will NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. Room had roaches, light in the bathroom wasn't working, sliding door to balcony wasn’t working. We arrived early so front desk clerk said for us to return by 3pm that room would be ready, she said she would call us. We returned at 4:30 and clerk was rude and never even looked at us, she said room wasn’t ready that check in was at 4pm but it was already 4:30pm. She took forever for our check in never said anything else, after my mom gave her credit card she never explained the process to the floor number, I asked what floor she ignored me, a customer said 22 because of the room number. She didn’t explain what was charged and nothing about parking. After finally getting our room we noticed light in bath wasn’t working and the door to balcony was stuck and hard to open. We called maintenance and the came which they were really nice and fixed it. One said to leave the sliding door cracked open because it would get stuck and hard to open. Later in the day after we went out to eat and returned, we looked for cups in the cabinets and found roaches in all three cabinets and a dirty cup filled with liquor. The floor wasn’t cleaned or even looked vacuumed. This morning the receptionist cleared manager sad she could not do anything about discount because we booked through Expedia. Please READ REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING HERE. The place looks cute outside and in main floor but once you go to the upper floors it doesn’t match what it says. CSR SUCKS

The property is in disarray because of supposed renovations but there were none going on while I was there. Pool was not in the greatest condition and the rooms were not professionally cleaned. The rooms are old. Rugs need to be cleaned. Mold and mildew is in the shower as well as very dirty grout lines in floor and shower tiles. Lighting in the bathroom and dining area was extremely dim. The inside door to the patio was not secured. Wind blew it open a few times. Thank God we were on the 26th floor so no one could access our room.

I got bit up by bedbugs very uncomfortable

The property was dirty with food and my daughter found 4 dead roaches and 1 live baby roach in their room. Ended up leaving the hotel to go stay at another one and still haven't heard from a manager regarding this issue and a refund. Terrible don't ever stay here.

Hair in tub, damaged walls, dirty carpet.

They ran out of coffee at 7:00 am with no replacement. Their little bistro which sold coffee never opened the day we were there. Although the room was very clean, there was no lighting in the bathroom shower. Only very dim lighting over the sink. The furniture was beat up. The carpets in the hallway were threadbare and torn. The wallpaper in our room was peeling off the wall in spots. The staff was mostly friendly although there was a nasty attitude by the woman in the restaurant. She was downright mean to us. Check-in folks were pleasant. Staff in general were courteous. The views are about the only excellent thing about this property. However I would never stay here again.

Room was beautiful but, the wind that blew through the room from the unsealed balcony doors was a little rough. It got so bad at one point we had to sleep in the living room with the bedroom door closed and towels blocking the draft.

It was in an area that had good views and access to water. The rooms were a nice size. The outside was very tired looking and the parking garage was closed. The parking was in fields on each side of the hotel. It was limited and not level so at night it was not safe for me to walk with a walker. I valet bell service.

The room was very clean and spacious we really enjoyed the sunrise as well.

It was a good stay but the lighting in the room was dim

The mattress was terrible. One entire side sunk in, very uncomfortable. The furniture in the bedroom had stains on them, but other then these, the property was okay.

The staff was very friendly. The room had a beautiful view. However, the interior seemed old and outdated in the shower was nothing to brag about.

Good distance from the beach where it’s away from the crowds but also not too far. Only complaint was the bed sheets which had a small stain but the housekeepers were able to replace it.

The view from my room was really nice but the hotel is aging and hasn't been well kept. It was just ok.

No compliments besides the weather in which was not their control. Room was spacious and clean. I wanted a little getaway and got just that. Oh and the balcony view…. A one!!! Def going back and pray my experience continues to be positive.

Great pricing, location, room size. Having the kitchen and balcony was priority. View was spectacular (28th floor). Will definitely be back!

Had issues checking in..BUT the staff tried everything possible to accommodate everyone. Very professional and courteous.

The staff at the front desk was the most unprofessional and disrespectful group I have ever experienced in my many years of traveling. I would never want anyone to lose their jobs, but they need to be working far away from the paying customers. Double booking rooms, entering rooms while I’m in bed with my wife, talking recklessly, you name it. Simply put, just straight up ghetto! Completely unacceptable! I would never stay there again or recommend this place to anyone.

Have stayed here many times as a guest of an owner with no issues. This time, rooms were not ready and despite assurances that I would contacted, it didn’t happen. Was not able to get keys until close to 8:00 pm. Spoke with Sara (mgmt.) about remuneration and was offer 1/2 extended late check out. Disappointed and frustrated. Overall, room and amenities were acceptable. Kelsey’s restaurant was great.

Our room had been previously occupied by HEAVY smokers. We tried to move our room & the hotel said nothing else was available. We literally slept with the door to the balcony open & the AC could not keep up. We asked for a comp in lieu of another room & got nothing. We were told that Hotels.com was responsible for any comps. House keeping came a began to spray cleaner which made the situation worse. Im still congested from the combination odor. Horrible experience.

Check in was at 4, and was told by the rude staff that Hotels .com overbooked the stay so my family will not have a room available. After speaking with the manager, we were able to check in around 6pm. Do to overcrowding, the elevators were slow

This has been my favorite getaway place for years. The staff is amazing but the accommodations are old and dingy. Location is great and it's quiet. I hope this place gets an update.

Not a good experience. Had to wait for room to be cleaned, check in at 4pm and not ready till 5. front desk nit informative or friendly. When asked about when room would be available, as we had dinner reservations with family, the response was “I don’t know what to tell you, you’ll just have to wait” noisy, room not very clean, not updated at all, no lighting, front desk was not friendly or gave information

- The location was excellent - quiet, but still close to the beach and close enough to the entertainment district to be accessible without having it in our faces. - The front desk staff was more interested in their phones and in each other than helping me. - The pool staff was great. - The hot tub water was milky looking. - Everything about the place was worn, from the rooms to the corridors to the balcony, to the pool. - It was adequately clean but didn't look sparklingly polished.

Property was clean and staff was friendly. They’re renovating which is definitely needed. Our room was large but dated. The surrounding area is a mixed bag.. some nice, some run down - but that’s Atlantic City in general. The hotel is located at the far end of the boardwalk so it’s quieter. Nice ocean views from the balconies. Convenient parking garage at the hotel for only $7.50/day. Is it the nicest place I’ve ever stayed? No, but I’d stay there again.

Love the fact that it has a balcony with a great view not a long walk to the beach

I have been coming here for over 40 years. Now I have a granddaughter I bring. I feel safe quiet we love balcony allowing for fresh sunshine and ocean air. I will continue to bring my granddaughter and I’m sure soon she will be bringing a friend.

Great location with affordable parking options

Property needs upgrading. The pool is small. The rooms were nice and spacious. The kitchenette and refrigerator are a plus. We had a nice view of the ocean. This property is not on the boardwalk. The closest casino is Showboat. It’s about a 5 minute drive.

The property is a little away from the actual boardwalk where all the attractions are, but you get the calm view of the water body right across your room and the beautiful sunset is a bonus.

I liked the balcony and view of the ocean from my room. The location is not close to the board walk where the casinos are. However it is about a 20 minute walk .I didn’t like that as soon as you passed the Ocean resort walking towards the Flagship , it was like a ghost town . There were no boardwalk trollies or bike taxies that go to the Flagship. It felt unsafe. The hotel does have limited shuttle service, limited is the key word. The hotel itself needs updating . You can tell the lobby had some type of updating which was minimal at best. The over all feel and smell of the hotel was old . Elevators were slow and hot. Room was spacious, just musty and outdated . The bed was flat and hard. The bathroom light was dim, had one bulb out. Carpet was musty and stained, old decor. Not to mention the tacky sign by the sink that stated if you didn’t clean the dishes in the sink thoroughly and put them back in their place, that you will be charged $ 50.00. There was a check out checklist that states you must strip the bed, including pillow cases, remove used towels from the bathroom and place them by the front door and place all garbage from the room / bathroom and discard in the one supplied trash can under the kitchen sink. I’ve never seen anything like this in any place I’ve stayed in my life. Then there was an envelope for the maid service requesting a tip, Are you kidding me? This was my first and last time staying at the Flagship. Do not recommend.

Love staying here. I enjoy the balcony and looking out over the water. The new restaurant is fabulous. Very comfortable and relaxing

They advertized a blue water grill, it closèd months ago. The only food options were hot dogs and vending machine. They asked if I was using the parking, I said no. They billed me for parking anyway, even though I did not drive there . This place is equal to a budget motel but they charge resort prices. Never go there

Check-in time was slated to be 4 pm, but upon arriving at my room at 5:33 pm, housekeeping was still in the process of cleaning (picture attached.) Location is not good. In a bad area of Atlantic City. You need to walk a significant distance to even get to a remotely decent area of the boardwalk at the Ocean Casino. The only on-site restaurant is closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. They don't offer any coffee in the lobby. Only one coffee pack provided in the room which makes 1 cup of coffee. Called housekeeping, and they refused to provide any extra coffee packs. I then saw a couple housekeeping staff in the hallway, and they gladly gave me a few packs after I asked. The value for your money here is just not great. We did attempt contacting the hotel through Orbitz customer service about a partial refund as hotels normally always charge an early check-in fee, but they refused. Hopefully they will be able to improve on that customer service, and would be a good idea to have your restaurant on the 6th floor always open for breakfast.

Nice place i have stayed there a lot over the years, love the balconys. only problem was no restuarant in the motel.

The room its self was great... check in was easy.. the pool was nice... the restaurant stay away... the restaurant staff all need to be replaced or retrained they put us at a dirty table... then moved us to another dirty table... by the third table we were just over the whole restaurant... if you put us at 3 dirty tables what the kitchen look like

Hotel location great right across from the boardwalk. Only problem was hotel restaurant was not open the middle of the week. The pool was great as was the hot-tub. Restaurants in Atlantic City were problematic and a long walk from the hotel.
