This is our 3rd stay at this Marriott. We always have a great experience. Great place to have dinner, have a drink at the bar, the African American bartender was so great and personable. The pool and hot tub clean. Nice outside area with a Firepit. 10/10 recommend.

The room was good until I lifted the blanket up and seen all the stains inside. You couldn’t see them until you lifted the blanket up towards the sun. The pool area is amazing. They don’t keep up on the maintenance of the pool. Bugs all inside the pool. When the manager came to clean it. He did it half ass and left the dead bugs all in the thing you use to remove them and it still was a lot of bugs in the water. Jacuzzi was great!

My first stay at your hotel was wonderful, which is why I chose to return. However, this recent experience fell short of the standard I expected. I booked a suite with a king-size bed, but at check-in I was given a room with a full/queen bed. I was not informed that the room type I reserved was unavailable, and I would have appreciated clear communication about this. I arrived late and was very tired, so I didn’t realize the issue until later. Because the smaller bed wasn’t comfortable for me and my partner, I had to return to the front desk at 6 a.m. to request another room. The second room I received also had concerns—the bed was extremely firm, which left my back sore, and the shower walls did not appear to be fully cleaned, as there were private hairs visible. I understand that mishaps can happen, but room accuracy and cleanliness are very important to guests. I kindly ask that these areas be improved so future stays can meet the level of quality your hotel is known for. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback.

Balcony wasn’t swept before we got there. There were slices of onion laying on the balcony like someone had pulled them off a sandwich. Stain on the chair. Stain on bathroom wall. Concierge lounge wasn’t what we expected. Overall a good stay just disappointed in what we got for the price we paid.

We were in town for one night & didn’t get to use the pool or weight room due to time constraints. Staff was friendly. The one negative was we could hear the entire conversation of people in the room next to us. I don’t know if this was because we were placed in an adjoining room (we did not request this or know the other guests) & the doors have no insulation. However, it made going to bed at night & sleeping in a bit more difficult. Thankfully I travel with ear plugs!

For the price, I wish there was a tub and microwave in the room, like at The Comfort Inn (which is half the price and has a free breakfast). Getting on the internet took 1/2 an hour. I had to go to the front desk to get on with my phone, and they said I had to talk to support by phone for my laptop. I finally got connected in both instances, and no one knew why. I ordered room service and asked for potato chips, which they forgot - but later brought me two small bags at no charge. The service was nice, but for the price, I'll go to The Comfort Inn next time (if there is one in Dayton).

The front desk staff and the restaurant staff are both excellent and the location is very good, at the University of Dayton. However, the walls of my room are very thin. I could hear every word coming from the TV in the next room. Also, the hallway carpet looks old and tired. It is clearly coming loose in several stretches of the hallway.

I've stayed here several times in the last few years and usually had a great experience but this time it was just okay. On the plus side, my room was clean and comfortable, room amenities worked and fairly up-to-date although the mini fridge could stand to be a little bigger, and it was good value for price I paid. There is also ample parking and the area feels pretty safe although not much to walk to. On the minus side, there seemed to be very few front desk staff throughout my stay, the lobby seemed more like a ghost town than on previous visits, and although I was attending a large annual event for which the organizers had reserved a block of rooms here, the desk clerk upon check-in had never heard of it. When I requested a housekeeping item one night at the front desk, it took forever to arrive. During the day the housekeeping staff are very noisy as they clean and at one point were shouting in the halls at 8 am. Not sure if this place is having service issues or I just caught them on a bad day but it wasn't as good this time.

It was a very busy weekend and hotel was full of all kinds of guests. There was one person working the bar and one waiting tables and sat down for dinner and after at least ten minutes wasn’t even waited on. The he manager filled our water and that was it. I walked out. We didn’t even have enough towels for our room guests. It was way too expensive to not have top notch service and I’m disappointed.

When i checked in their system was down. I did not have a key to my room the complete time i was there. I ask one of the employees where i could get a cocktail. He said " i dont know thats over. Only to find out later that they had a restaurant AND lounge at the hotel. My question is...why did an employee have a key to my room but not know that his work place has a loung? When i pulled the covers back there was a small dead BUG on the very white sheet. Lets just say not real impressive. Might i add that i have been taking care of a sick relative for five months. I just wanted a luxurious well needed break. And this is what i got. Every time i left my room i had to have someone let me back in. I felt like a prisoner.

I've been working as a traveler for work and my most recent contract was in Dayton for 13-weeks and I can say this is BY FAR the best hotel in the Dayton area! And I have stayed at at least 8 hotels since my contract here and they have varied from deplorable to desperate. This hotel was a slice of heaven when away from home. I regret not staying here earlier; however one night the price was over $300.

The bed was really hard and rather uncomfortable. The pillows were feather pillows and went flat as soon as your head hit them. Other than that, it was clean and updated nicely. The bar was a nice feature, however was extremely expensive. My glass of Reisling wine was $14 and hubby's double bourbon pour was $21. Needless to say we only had 1 drink each. The location was close to the Fraze Pavillion which is why we chose this location.
