The hotel is conveniently located near Path train, restaurants, and close to Hudson River with views of Manhattan skyline. Parking is outside and gated but doesn't have any security patrolling it. The suite is a bit tight when you open the sofabed. The kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave, electric stove, & coffee maker. We checked out from the front desk a toaster so we could toast our bagels. You can check out other items to use but make sure you return it to the front. Overall, this place is a good choice to stay at.

Great room in a good location! The PATH station to World Trade is only a few blocks away and there are several upscale and casual restaurants around. The hotel’s paid parking is inside a secure lot surrounding the building. We came for a short stay to go into NYC and to visit the Statue of Liberty. Our city view room had an outstanding view of the Freedom Tower and surrounding buildings. Take a walk to the Hudson Waterfront and go out to the end of the pier at 1 Harborside Place for some great views. We talked to a proud local resident fishing there who said he thinks it’s the best spot for a frame-worthy picture with the city lit up at night.

Good location with a short walk and quick PATH ride to WTC. It’s a quieter option with NYC at your door step. Room was fine with kitchen we did not use. Parking was 1/3 the price of NYC. You also don’t get hit with resort fees like hotels in NYC.

I loved how close the hotel was to everything. We walked to the Path station and went to the city both days. I loved that there was a little convenience store in the lobby and you could rent crock pots and things to use to cook in your hotel room. I also loved there was a kitchen in the hotel room.

I had an issue with my room the first night (it smelled like someone had smoked in it but I couldn\'t keep the window open because I was facing the light rail station). I had arrived very late at night so went to the front desk first thing in the morning. The staff was amazingly responsive. The general manager was *amazing* and moved me to a new room right away (I went to get coffee and he personally checked the potential room while I was gone to make sure everything was perfect). Had a wonderful stay and slept very well after that. The laundry facilities were free and easy nice (bring your own soap; Its possible they will give you soap if you ask. I always have detergent sheets in my luggage in a ziploc bag, so didn\'t need to ask). The kitchen had what I needed for making breakfast and could have made a simple dinner too (there are additional kitchen things you can "check out" for free, so just ask). The bed sheets were spotless and the bathroom was very clean. Also, being a very short walk from Whole Foods is fantastic since you have a kitchen in each room. The hotel is also a very short walk to the Path train at Exchange Place which is one stop for NYC.

Overall OK. Laundry room free. No breakfast. Little pantry at front desk if needed. Room was comfortable with little kitchen (refrigerator. Dishwasher. Toaster. Coffee maker and stove top). I use the parking and paid 88.89 for 3 nights. Close to public transport and PATH to New York was a 5 minutes walk. Only downside was there was a stong smell of humidity in the room but I opened the windows to bring fresh air in. I heard the cleaning lady in the hall only once during my stay and she didn't come to my room.

Within walking distance from the NJ Exchange Place and Path station. So if you plan to travel to NYC using public transport, this is a good place to just park your car and then come back and sleep in for the night. Parking costs $25 per night plus tax, so be mindful. The staff are nice and friendly. Overall good experience if not great.

The room was clean and comfortable and so was the bed. The location was great too. Unfortunately the shower didn’t function properly. It came out as a trickle and most of the water went directly down the drain from the lower faucet. I let the staff at the front desk know but they didn’t even offer an apology.

Shower head is not working properly and shower sink blocked. We asked the front desk to send someone to take a look and answer was our shower are all like this. At the time we left, the water was still sitting in the sink. Also, stayed for two days and no one cleaned our rooms. We were told that 2 day stay does not get this services.

I could barely breathe in my room because there was an overwhelming, pungent smell of urine. It’s a pet friendly hotel so I assume it’s dog urine on the carpet. I asked the front desk if they could change my room but they said they were sold out for the night. I told the front desk again in the morning and they said they heard and apologized but didn’t offer any concession. I called the customer service and they said they made a case but never followed up with me. I’ve been busy and just looked through my emails and still see no follow up, and I haven’t received any call from them. The location is convenient, there is some parking available though I also got the very last spot that evening, and the staff is decent. But I wouldn’t stay there again, or any other pet friendly hotel for that matter.

I've stayed here twice. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable, location is great for me near work, and price is excellent, especially with the perk of parking. And the staff is always extremely pleasant. I'm looking forward to my next stay!

Bring your ear plugs - they put me on the path track side. Trains every 11/13 minutes and then frequency slows down after 1am before it picks up again in the am. Poor windows & shower. Seems like I get a crappy location every time I use hotels.com now a days for some reason. All the 4-5 stars are Europeans who use kitchen in unit and path to the city. Absolutely nothing in the area as well.

Nice place with kitchen. If you are going as family it was like 1 bhk house. Very spacious. Only drawback was if you are staying multiple days they don’t clean the room. They do not collect dirty towels and deliver new towels. At the end of 3 day stay my room was overflowing with trash .

We were quite lucky. Got the high floor room on the quiet side of the building with a nice ocean view. This luck might be related to my relatively high " status " with Expedia. Also: large rooms (1 BR suites), with comfortable beds. Still , the hotel has a major structural flaw: the internal walls are too thin, which causes all kinds of concerns about privacy. Snoring of your neighbors comes to you at ease. No breakfast served by the hotel. But plenty options are available outside.

This hotel is centrally located in a very walkable city. It was between the two PATH stations with trains into NYC. The views were lovely and it is also close to the Hudson River Walkway. Some rooms overlook the Lite Rail trains, so they are noisier.

It was perfectly set up for exactly what I needed - a long-term stay in a convenient place for transportation links, food, etc. (e,g, laundry facilities really surprised me). Staff were very helpful and courteous. Unfortunately the property is right at the sharpest corner in the light-rail system, and the noise on that side is pretty bad.

I was then met by an employee named George, whose behavior was shockingly rude, dismissive, and just not nice or welcoming. Instead of offering understanding or help, he made the process difficult and confrontational. He spoke with an attitude, showed no empathy, and made it clear he did not care about the situation. He insisted on up charging me to move to a quieter room, which felt punitive and completely unnecessary after I had just checked in. This treatment alone would have been upsetting, but what happened regarding my emotional support animal made the situation significantly worse. I travel with my dog because I suffer from severe anxiety and depression, and the first employee had immediately acknowledged this without issue. George, however, chose to challenge it, question it, and turn it into a problem. Instead of showing sensitivity, he insisted on charging a seventy five dollar fee and repeatedly said we could speak to the manager about it. Being treated this way during the holiday season, while managing grief and anxiety, was incredibly hurtful. It made me feel dismissed in a moment when I was vulnerable and already struggling. This was not simply poor customer service, it was a complete lack of compassion.

My stay at this hotel was disappointing overall. The staff was generally rude and unaccommodating. I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. From the start, the staff was unwelcoming and unhelpful. We lost power in our 7th-floor room for five hours, and the staff provided no explanation or reassurance. Check-out was handled coldly with no apology or compensation for the inconvenience. Additionally, the rooms were dirty upon arrival, and the sheets weren’t changed even after two nights. The service was far below acceptable standards, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Look elsewhere for a more professional and hospitable experience.

I did not have a good experience. I came there with family and there was a lot of inconvenience. We stayed there for 4 nights and the hotel staff was reluctant to clean the room when we asked them to clean. Even when we needed extra toiletries and towels we had to go down and collect it ourselves. That’s not how you treat your customers. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone else.

i checked in at 10pm for 1 night and went to bed immediately after. at 1:15am, one of the staff members tried to swipe into the door but the security latch was on. i woke up as he left and saw no one was out there and thought it was probably a mistake. 5 minutes later, it happened again and i asked what it was for. the staff member brought along a security guard with him and informed me that i should've been checked out by 4pm since it was a day room. i was very confused and said i literally just checked in and it made no sense. i even asked him what name was the reservation under and he said my name. they seemed confused too and apologized. next morning i went down to check out and asked about the matter and they said it was a glitch/error in the system (which was very odd). i am definitely not very pleased with this stay. especially as a sole female traveller, having the hotel staff try to enter in the middle of the night like this without confirming? i don't know if this happens to other people but i didn't sleep well that night after and was paranoid the entire night. all they did was just saying sorry and told that it was a glitch in the system. subpar service.

Ive stayed here several times. Everything has always been good. Location is great. I don’t remember being charged a parking fee in the past but I could be forgetting. So that wasn’t great. Just one more fee when the price is already going up. But mostly I was not thrilled with one aspect of the service. Only one roll of toilet paper provided in the room (no extra) and when I called down for another, I was told I had to come down to get it. I would think one extra roll would be in the room upon arrival. And no offer to bring up an extra. Not great service in that manner. Otherwise the service was friendly and helpful as usual.

Sonesta made my work trip convenient and comfortable! I loved how walkable the area is and located just a block away from the Hudson Riverwalk. Great area to bike, easy access to LightRail and PATH. Will book again and recommend to colleagues.

This is a nice hotel for the money. The kitchen is not equipped for cooking any elaborate meals, but it's fine for simple things. I appreciated being able to eat a few meals in. The location in Jersey City is very convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, and public transportation.

The staff was incredibly helpful and super friendly. It was great to have free laundry and a kitchenette. The hotel is a short walk to several coffee spots, CVS, and the light rail which stops at the PATH to NYC and there's a Ferry to NY very close by as well. Would definitely recommend.

As a native New Yorker who moved away and often visits, I highly recommend this as a great (sneaky) spot to stay. There's not much by the hotel, itself, but it's a short walk to all the fun stuff in Jersey City and it's a 7-10 minute walk to the NJ Path or ferry that takes you to NYC. Whole Foods is nearby, so you can stock your room to save money.

I stayed 2 nights at this property when I visited Jersey City for a business conference. It’s a no frills, basic, clean and in a great location. Walkable to The Exchange and plenty of dining options.

One of the receptionists was pretty bad. She wouldn’t even look up to acknowledge a guest or say hello. Others were better. The prices of the items from the pantry were ridiculous- I paid close to $9 for a half gallon of milk (not organic). The restroom for guests on the 1st floor was terrible - no paper towel to wipe your hands and something else was missing too. This was at about 10:30 am. There isn’t much by way of bars or restaurants late in the evening (9:30 pm or later). Despite all of that I would stay here again as the rooms were pretty decent.
