Very nice hotel, except for the pool. It looked much bigger and more fancy on the Internet than it’s really was. It was a bit dirty, sometimes there were no towels, the water was salty and cold, and generally the size of the pool was not adequate for this class of a hotel

Hotel was undergoing renovations so had parts of the lobby closed off ad well as had no lunch options nor in room dining. There was a fire alarm that went off on the Sat. Nt. of my stay. It was very disturbing & disruptive. Staff was non-apologetic & didn’t offer much guidance. Views & location are great.

We booked for the pool and it was basically unswimable and not heated. Gym equipment was sad and outdated. The elevators smelled like pee. The rooms are outdated and carpets were dirty. Our blow dryer had an inch of dust on it, just replace them… the only upside to this hotel was the view of the skyline and that the path was steps away. Overall not worth the price, will never return.

There were still considerable renovations occurring throughout the hotel which were meant to be completed so moving around the hotel was problematic (eg, restaurant not operating, travelator to enter the building did not work the whole time and an elevator that was mean to be used instead was under repair for 2 days. Which meant that they opened a walkway to the main bank was of elevators which would have been preferable to use for the duration while the other amenities were inoperable. We stayed for 6 nights based upon many factors which included them having self service laundry services which they were shown to have according to their website (vague, but stated, ‘laundry services’) and google stating there was self service laundry) which was not the case at all. All they offered was a send out laundry service at the most exorbitant pricing I’d ever seen in my life). If you have young children who require clothing to be frequently laundered I’d definitely wouldn’t suggest staying here for any length of time. When I spoke to guest services regarding the laundry the woman was the rudest person I’d ever spoken to in a hotel. She was argumentative, told me that it was not their fault the information on google was not correct and not the hotel’s responsibility and repeatedly talked over the top of me and offered no help whatsoever. Based on this conversation alone, I would not recommend staying here. The staff do not care for their guests and it showed.

Nice property. Very clean and beautiful rooms. Amazing view of the city, river and the harbor. Nice and friendly staff. We had a great time. The only complaint I have is the parking. The self parking is like two blocks from the hotel. Have to pay for parking. I Had to walk with my luggage for two blocks or about ten minutes. If you don’t want to walk you have to use their valet parking which is expensive. If you get out several times a day you have to pay $$$ valet several times or walk all that distance several times a day and pay $ as well. They should offer some sort of shuttle from the parking to the hotel to compensate for the inconvenience of have to pay for parking plus walking all that distance with luggage.

The stay was excellent with options for breakfast and a number of great food locations close by. We traveled for GO Fest, and I would likely seek out another room at this establishment for more than one night of the festival were to return to Jersey City in coming years. It was a great time, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and the bathroom was well kept.

I expected more for the price we paid. View was awesome but there was a cockroach in our shower. And we walked outside the back of hotel and got locked out - no reentry but there were no signs posted. Had to climb the railing to get to the sidewalk. Overall an average experience for a great experience price. And the cockroach..... eeewwww! My husband said - welcome to the big city 😆!

The hotel is in undergoing renovations, but clearly had no condition of receiving guests during this time. The staff were absolutely careless and unwelcoming from the beginning. The lobby was completely occupied by machines, dust and an improvised front desk. There was not even place to wait for the car or to check in with the bags. The room was ok, but clearly in need of a deep clean. The coffee machine looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Besides all that, the ongoing renovations created so much noise in the rooms that was impossible to sleep after 7am. Checking out I was assisted by Rigney, the only staff member who actually was interested in listening to the whole situation.

This js the second time we stayed here. First time was in 2017 and the room was okay then but 7 years later, the hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. Room didnt seem that clean. The bathroom had spots of mold and lots of water damage on the ceiling. There was a huge leak in the ceiling right by the elevators and the carpet smelled horrible (musty/ moldy).

The convenience and location are what makes this hotel a viable options for (business) travelers like me. It definitely needs a major upgrade: the rooms are very outdated with old fixtures especially in the bathroom, limited electrical outlets, and the gym is so tiny with limited equipment and space I opted to walk along the river as my workout rather than be crammed into a tiny space jockeying to use the limited dated equipment. But above all it was the foul smell. Once you get on the elevator and any floor with rooms there is just a terrible sewage like scent that follows you everywhere, and it was most prominent for me in the bathrooms. Truly awful. It does score major points for the staff service. There was not one person whom I interacted with who wasn't helpful.

Despite being located in NJ, it's actually very convenient travelling to downtown NYC via PATH. Hoboken (great dining options and lower priced than NYC) and Newport (shopping) are also just 1 - 2 stops away. My room came with views of midtown NYC. What I didn't like were the thin walls. We had a noisy neighbor for 1 out of 6 nights we stayed and their voice permeated all the way passed midnight. The other peeve is the toilet light that switches off automatically after a preset time (it did so while I was soaking in the bath tub).

Clean hotel, great front desk staff. Bed had a large dip in the middle. Turned the mattress around and was able to sleep more comfortably avoiding being bent as I am a stomach sleeper. PATH train is very close to hotel so very easy to access Manhattan. Helicopters do fly down the Hudson at all hours and did wake us up a few times during our stay (which is obviously not the hotel's fault). Breakfast buffet was excellent though pricey. Very few options to eat past 11pm in the area (and none at the hotel) unfortunately. Overall a good stay and enjoyed our time.

Payed a little bit more for NYC view (as shown on their web site) - it was a rip off. Looking directly out the window was an apartment building and water, same as web site called "River View." Called front desk and they said if you can look anywhere out your window and see part of the city then considered NYC view. You can probably look out most of the windows and see part of the city.

At hotel! Big spacious and clean room! It was quiet for a city. I had a wonderful view from the odd side of the building, where I saw Manhattan. It was gorgeous! The rooms temperature and temperature control was working well and easy to navigate. This is a great place to stay! 10/10 ! Will be staying here again

Pros: Beautiful views. Close to PATH. If you are traveling with kids there is a great playground next to the hotel. Cons: - Long lines to check in/out - Pillowcases not comfortable, we had to ask for additional pillowcases - Our room was on the 4th floor with a balcony that obscured half of the window, blocking the beautiful view. - Regrettably, the hotel staff failed to provide us with clear instructions for the parking discount coupon's usage. Consequently, at the time of departure from the parking garage, we were unable to redeem the coupon and had to pay the full parking fee. - Our room was missing the hairdryer. - Long lineups at times during check in/out or any queries. - No one picking up the phone when calling reception or housekeeping

Great location and overall great hotel. My one complaint is that all the beds have lights underneath them that light up anytime someone walks by them. In the middle of the night if someone gets up the room lights up. And you can’t turn them off. We had someone come up and give us black tape to cover them up.

Loved the location and the proximity to both the PATH line and ferry lines to Manhattan but our check in process was a NIGHTMARE. The hotel claimed that we had cancelled our reservation and that they no longer had our reservation, which was impossible as I had already received confirmations and reminders from Expedia just prior to our stay. As front desk ( which was makeshift as hotel is going thru Renos ) made us figure out this issue on our own, 3 other sets of guests tried to check in and same problem, they were all told their reservations were cancelled. This was obviously a hotel issue and not Expedia as once I was able to reach someone at Expedia, we were told the reservation should be in their system. Then after almost an hour of dealing with this, we were told that since it was 3pm and check in was not until 4pm, we would get a text once our rooms were ready. We never received said text and when we returned to the hotel at 10pm that night after a long day in the city, did not receive an explanation as to why we were never sent a text. It was the most unpleasant and nerve wracking check in process ever. Also told nothing was open or available to us as hotel was going thru renos, wish we would’ve been informed of this.

When we checked in it seemed other guests were having the same issue including our friends who were getting married and staying in a suite. After half an hour the hotel was eventually able to book us a different room at no extra charge. Hotels.com was able to contact the hotel to confirm our original booking and even refunded the original charge, which was a nice surprise. I don't know what would have happened if they didn't have extra rooms. The front desk looked like a temporary setup. I'm not sure if the hotel was undergoing renovations and that maybe affected the reservation system. The system they used was incredibly slow. I would not risk an important visit by booking here again.

The hotel itself was renovated, clean, and the rooms were spacious. The view is amazing. I was disappointed in the service, however. Check in took longer than necessary as staff ignored us for several minutes while they chatted. Valet service was atrocious. They were understaffed, then refused to take our car insisting that we self-park off site and walk back to the hotel, despite it being late at night. To top it off they directed us to the WRONG parking garage where we could not get validated parking. Our stay was still enjoyable but this definitely cast a pall over the experience.

The property was safe and clean. The staff at the front desk was friendly accommodating. I had a slight issue, caused by me, and the gentleman at the desk was very nice and fixed the issue immediately. The only complaint that I have was it was difficult to find. I would kindly suggest that a big sign be put at the entrance to the hotel.

We landed in NYC early in the morning after a red-eye flight, traveling with a senior and a child. At check-in, the front desk told me they would text when the room was ready. However, I never received any message. I finally called in the late afternoon, and only then was I told that the room was ready. Charged me for a second night when I had this prepaid, one night, cut and dry reservation. I let them know hours before checkout the second day when I received a link to check out again. Contacted them again when I received a second invoice. They let me know a manager was looking into it. Contacted me days later after I got a second security deposit, and $530 room stay charged to my accidentals card. Told me they did an investigation and felt the charge was justified because we had left "personal belongings" in the room. No one once had ever left me a message about things left in the room. I called the corporate number to talk to someone. THEY were very nice, and told me the only way they could ever even imagine someone acting that way is if someone left all of their things, or perhaps luggage in the room. Then, ironically, the hotel tried to say someone saw we left luggage in our room, and reactivated the room (without ever speaking to me and without authorization to use my card?) Anyway - this place is extremely disorganized and will try to lie to cover their own butts. Of course I was never there the second day, and there was no proof of us going back into the hotel, or leaving anything. Just don't bother. You could spend days fighting for your money back.

Alfonso at the front desk was amazing! We took an overnight flight so showed up to the hotel at 6am. Check in isn’t until 4pm. He got us a room at no extra charge! The staff overall was superb. The PATH is right there, just plan for extra money on your Metrocard bc it’s a separate swipe for the NJ PATH and separate swipe for NY subway.

Wonderful spacious room with a balcony and a gorgeous view of he NYC skyline. Visited he Statue of Liberty which launch was just down the street. Lovely young woman moved a few things around to get us in a perfect room. Dinner at the restaurant onsite was delicious. Would definitely recommend it highly.

This is the perfect place for visiting the area: best view of the NY skyline, perfect location for grabbing the PATH to quickly get anywhere in Manhattan; so walkable to every amenity, convenient to ferry for Statue of Liberty, parks, dining, shopping. The Grove street area is just min away and walkable. Loved it! So great for family stay with small children.

It’s in a prime location. Transportation options were great. Everything was within walking distance. right next to the Exchange Place PATH station. Parking was a little distance away. Just a few blocks away and relatively affordable. Still great, given the territory. And the Manhattan views from the hotel were awesome.

Hotel was undergoing renovations so had parts of the lobby closed off ad well as had no lunch options nor in room dining. There was a fire alarm that went off on the Sat. Nt. of my stay. It was very disturbing & disruptive. Staff was non-apologetic & didn’t offer much guidance. Views & location are great.

I was not aware that the hotel was being renovated. It was less open and attractive due to the process and the restaurant was limited. The food and service were good though. Breakfast was excellent, but order it with your reservation.

Breakfast buffet was good. Potatoes were a bit too cool but the selection of food and that you can have a fresh omelette made were excellent! Room and view simply the best skyline view of NYC. Bar was good and food was delicious! We actually didn’t leave the hotel due to the extreme heat! But saw everything we wanted to from the lobby! Very comfortable!
