Come: The hotel itself is clean but in need of major updates. This limits the overall quality of the stay. The gym has no free weights. The breakfast could use some help. Pros: The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There’s a microwave and fridge in the room and you can open a window if you want air. The gym has cardio machines.

NO FREE GUEST PARKING As a parent visiting my student at the local University it is very disappointing that there is no parking associated with this property. If you have rented a car to get around the area there is NO FREE PARKING. The parking deck nearby is @$30 a day to park and Ramada DOES NOT validate parking

The property is in a shady looking part of town. Traffic is rough and no onsite parking. One spot for unload and loading. Parking is two blocks away. Now, I never really felt unsafe, staff is friendly, but the building is older. Older not in a classical sense, but it is not modern, shows its age in a mediocre way.it was very clean and staff was great. .

I was really worried upon arrival ...NO onsite parking. However the staff answered the phone before the 3rd ring and provided address of nearest parking garage. Bedding was very clean. Area not so great kids playing in the street kept me awake until after MIDNIGHT.

Condition of the Hotel is PATHETIC. Major Lift not working for 4 days. The breakfast finishes at 9am though the closing time is 10am. Service staff STARES at you if asked for REFILL. Mangers says SORRY for not SERVING Breakfast, informs they EXHAUSTED SUPPLIES. I stayed with Family for 6 days and was VERY DISAPPOINTED with RAMADA BRAND.

The parking in the area is limited. Call the front desk to see if their private lot has spots! Window AC units in the rooms were loud and the breakfast is very limited. Good size rooms and clean.

Great stay! Very clean and safe to stay in. Surrounding area is a little bit sketchy at some times but overall I had no issues. Close to Journal City Station (six minute walk). Staff was friendly and committed to helping customers and our room was much larger than anticipated even having a kitchenette in our one bed room.

Room was disgusting. There was dead cockroaches in the light fixtures, live ones in the bathtub, there was paint splatter all over the floor and ac/heater unit, there was cracked tile everywhere fixed badly with caulk. I thought because they were a “wyndham” hotel, there was going to be some level of quality control, but this was literally the worst hotel expertise I’ve had.

We used this hotel while visiting NYC because it was cheaper than the city and a super easy commute on the PATH train. However, we still paid over $200 and it was awful! It’s located a fast 5 min walk from the PATH station but it’s a very sketchy area. Our room, although large was filthy. See my pictures but I didn’t get one of all the long black hair I had to clean out of shower. The lobby has a nice bathroom but our room hasn’t been updated since the 70s and it desperately needs it. The light fixture hung from wires, the furniture was stained, and I have no idea was this goopy mess was between the tub and wall! Yuck! I would stay away if I were you!

Parking was very difficult to find and too expensive, in my opinion, for the car to not even be in a secure, well-lit or even convenient location. The room was too much too, considering that the only AC available is a noisy window unit, and the bathroom has zero ventilation. I guess it's good that the AC drowns out some of the street noise. I didn't feel that it was very clean. I'm not a germophobe at all really but was not comfortable walking around without shoes. It's an old building, which I get and normally appreciate, but could not shake the feeling that I was paying that much for lazily for converted low-income housing. The place was a bit of a maze and the breakfast was mostly gross. Unless your reason for staying at this location is literal proximity to that specific neighborhood or there are no other options available, I'd skip.

Staff were very friendly. The room was very dirty. The heat was constantly on. You can hear people walking upstairs. The bathroom had blood on the back of the door and there was still garbage left in the room. The hotel is close to the New York subway. Reasonable price

Excellent location for a quick trip to NYC via PATH train, hotel itself was good enough for the price, could definitely do with some TLC in places however, but the bed was very comfy! Breakfast was good enough, consisting of toast/cereal/french toast, sausage/egg, fruit etc - bound to burn it all off walking round Manhattan!

The hotel itself is great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was larger than I expected, and clean. The breakfast wasn't very impressive but it was free! The only problem with this hotel is its location. It's confusing to get to and traffic is always backing up on the street out front. We lucked out and found street parking nearby.

Nice comfortable bed. Carpets are old since its an old bldg small bathroom for em 406 but room is good size I like that there is a smaller room with a full size bed that is private. The hair conditioner you cant get it out of the bottle. Small doors and elevator and no lobby ramp for wheel chair easier access

My girlfriend & I stayed at the Ramada for one night for a wedding we had in Jersey City. It wasn’t amazing, but got the job done. The included breakfast was really nice. The room was very clean, just not very updated. The air conditioning unit in room was loud, but kept us nice and cool. The hotel itself felt safe, but you know the city is nothing to write home about. All in all we would stay here again!

A comfortable stay at this hotel, that is conveniently located close to trains into Manhatten. The room was larger than expected with kitchen area and large bedroom area. Breakfast was sufficient with a reasonable choice. Helpful staff on reception. Recomended.

Older hotel that has smaller than usual “queen” size beds and a small bathroom. For the most part, it was ok except for the louder than usual street traffic due to the uninsulated window ACs. So, bring ear plugs.

They had a fantastic breakfast and the beds/pillows were comfortable. The hallways and elevators smelled weird but the room didn't. We had plenty of space in the suite.

The hotel itself is not bad. It's older but well maintained. Luis another of the front desk staff was very helpful, professional and polite. He booked me into a better room so the remainder of my stay was fine. The breakfast was good. A variety of cooked food, breads and pastries. They can add more fruit selection. I took issue with Victoria, one of the front desk staff. She was very rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. She was the first person I interacted with and that soured the trip for me. She also booked me into what must have been the worst room in the hotel. It was next to elevator, over the street and reeked of stale cigarette smoke. I did not sleep the first night.

I am NOT going back to NJ Ramada ever again nor I will recommend to anyone. Period. On November 6th 2023 at 7:15 pm ET, the lady at the reception RUDELY denied airport shuttle service because I was 15 min late. Total mood killer! I hope Ramada provide some hospitality training to that lady. Other staff members were awesome though.

I did not like the $250 incidental hold in my credit card or that they photo copied my driver's licence and credit card, in addition to putting my card in the machine to capture the chip approval. This photocopy was kept in a file slot at the front desk. This process leaves the possibility for fraudulent charges to be made due to the photocopy captures your name, billling address, full credit card number, and your security code. In this age of identity theft and financial fraud. I can't believe a better process has not been established

Desk staff rude and disrespectful. Was highly disappointed that there was little customer service at all. No good morning, no thank you for your stay, just attitude. I asked about the deposit return of $250, which I was not told about, and all I got was “we will process it”. I’ll never recommend this hotel to anyone. I understand they are renovating but you’d think they would be more accommodating. I have difficulty hearing and the desk agent wouldn’t speak up when asked. Bathroom toilet area was extremely small. My husband , who is average weight has difficulty getting up and down in the cramped space. Had my sons, who are larger sized men, been with us, they would never have fit. Hall way in room was extremely tight. Again trying to maneuver bags, and even a larger person would be impossible. The only good thing about our stay was the bed.

Service is Pathetic. Lift breaksdown regularly and is not repired ofr days. Breakfast gets exhausted ealry and then they dont refill. Staff behaviour RUDE. Things did not improve after complaining to Manager.

This property is definitely in downtown Jersey City, with dilapidated apartments and some buildings nearby. But it definitely brought some neat experiences that made it enjoyable like small cafes (City Cafe and Grill) and grocery stores (Sub Hub Market Fresh) each within a block or two walk. 5 min walk to the PATH transit hub and 25 min commute to World Trade Center made it palatable compared to the higher priced hotels and parking garages in Manhattan.

Location is very easy to get to using public transit. PATH station is within a short distance. Fast food and other restaurants are nearby. Building is a bit dated, but room was clean, had all required amenities and staff were excellent and professional. There is an airport shuttle to Newark, but departures are all after 11AM so if you have an early morning flight, call an Uber.

So we are talking NY here and if you have priced accomodations you know how expensive they are. This hotel was old and a bit run down but affordable and I had no issues with the cleanliness and it included a decent breakfast so it worked for me. Very close to Path train made getting over to Manhatten super easy. A mixed neighbourhood but I didn't feel unsafe at any time.

A hidden gem for visiting NYC. Excellent access to PATH. If you’re a tourist and not a backpacker-traveler you may not like the surrounding area. A bit grimy. I thought it was good but that’s just me.

The rooms given were great since it was recently renovated. Breakfast had very limited basic options and ran out frequently. Access to Breakfast area was through only one small elevator, which was always running full

I enjoyed that breakfast was included, however it was supposed to be until 10:00 a.m., yet I had to ask every morning at 9:00 a.m. for more bananas and pork sausages. I was told there were no more pork sausages on 2 of the 4 occasions i went for breakfast. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very rundown, but clean.
