There is no gym or fitness area. The photos of their gym on their website and on the Hotels.com booking page are deceptive. Per their own employees at the front desk, the gym has been closed for a very long time, at least a year, supposedly for renovation, but no work on the gym has taken place. It is simply closed. The hotel prefers to deceive people into thinking they have a gym by leaving those photos and amenity description on their website. If they choose to not have a gym, that is fine, but they should shoot straight with customers and list it as having no gym so people can make an informed decision when booking.

Very disappointed as couldn’t keep up with training plans since the gym was closed. The carpet inside the room is very dirty and smells. Shampoo, conditioner and soap were not present in the room and we had to ask to get them. Reservation was for 3 adults and 2 kids, but they didn’t have enough towels. The only positive about the experience was the team members at the front desk. They greeted us kindly.

The condition of the property is below average. They have two elevators for 8 floors and one was out of order since my check in and check out. There was a long waiting to get into the Elevator and that takes the time as well. Carpets in room were very old and smells. Breakfast was the same repetition everyday. The only positive is the location and easy access to Timesquare and city vibe. Overall I do not recommend this stay.

Old hotel, in need of many updates. Our room had a broken door, ceiling tiles in bathroom were broken. A/C not working well. Damp musty smell throughout. Breakfast was lacking, no fruit or yogurt available. Eggs were tasteless. We wanted to take a single piece of pastry back to the room and we were stopped, told no food out of dining area. Ice machine was accessible only from front desk. Asked 3 times for towels and pillows before finally picking them up from the front desk. Never did receive the pool towels I had requested. Would not recommend.

We had tape holding our window shut, rooms were never refreshed or made up, and if we needed anything we had to go down to the front desk to get it. Neighbouring doors were broken in half, hotel smells musty, and can barely use the pool because they run swimming lessons in it so it’s closed to guests.

Wi-Fi is unusable. Rooms are smelly, noisy and very outdated but pretty large. Beds are the most uncomfortable I ever had and need to have a chiropractor appt now. I should have just slept on the floor and. not use Wi-Fi.

I booked this hotel for their pool. My kids have been wanting to use a pool so I got this hotel. We check in around 3:30-4pm to find out their pool is closed from 3-7pm. We wait until 7pm then we get restricted to one side on the pool while the other is being used for a swim class. There was 13 kids playing on one side of pool the entire time. Their website says pool is open from 7am to 10pm they even had signs by the pool with the same hours. If I had known this I wouldn’t have booked with them.

The rooms were filthy, stains in the carpet, bed and walls! It looked like blood, and the ac didn’t work, room doors were cracked. Room was blazing hot in the middle of the night in summer! We were given a box fan which did not help at all; and they simply told us that it’s cuz the units are old. The pool was foggy and nasty, totally different from the pictures online; same as the breakfast, same stuff everyday and none of it was good at all. They lure you in with the pictures but then you enter and it’s the complete opposite. All the lights were yellow giving an eerie feelings, and lights are dim in the room so you feel like you’re about to get snatched under the bed. 1/5 stars, only good thing about this place is the people who work there are nice

Checked in late, the sheets had dried blood on them when we got in them and urine on the top Although they did give us a new room, the staff was very complacent and not friendly at all The staff in the morning was much better appreciated. The girl who gave us some free toothbrushes since our flights were canceled. We had no luggage.

Rooms are very bad. Carpet looks like never cleaned. Very stinky. Washrooms terrible. Always need a plunger. Online pictures showing very clean and perfect place yo stay buy reality is opposite. Do not look at lower $$$. It will.spoil ur vacation mood. Will never come back and will never recommend.

Very disappointing – would not recommend My stay at La Quinta Inn in Secaucus was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, cleanliness was clearly not a priority. Our room was never cleaned during the entire stay, towels were not replaced, and trash piled up. The bathroom was old, poorly maintained, and showed clear signs of neglect. Breakfast was another low point – poor quality, very limited options, and served in an unhygienic setting. Worst of all was the complete lack of customer service. There was no courtesy, no willingness to help, and no staff engagement at all. The location is the only decent aspect, but it does not make up for the lack of basic hospitality standards. I would not return, and I do not recommend this hotel.

Front lobby looks great and staff was friendly enough. The rooms however were very dissapointing. Looks like they have not been refurbished sinced the eighties. Carpet was littered with cigarette burns, walls and paint was scratched. The couch was stained with what appeared to be multiple different stains of varying colors. Furniture and TV extremely dated and the bathroom was gross. Water stains, buildup in corners, bulging brown areas that appeared water logged. Breakfast was above average and the dining area was very nice and clean.

The room was not lit properly, it was not cleaned, sofa and bathroom are not good. and I saw ants in multiple places. Could not sleep whole night, I had to wait until next morning to vacate only because I could not get another place to stay that night. I asked for at least partial refund for that night if not full refund, front desk guy first said full refund will be given, but denied immediately a minute after dont know why. would not recommend this place to anyone.

It has an odd smell in the hallway and the room. Sofa bed was in poor condition. No bedding was given for the sofa bed, had to go downstairs to the reception to get extra beddings. Room key always malfunction. Can be a little bit noisy as close to the motorway. Lovely breakfast and great location.

The hotel is old. It was fine for a quick, one night stay, but I wouldn’t go back. The locks on the doors are old and loose. The couch in the suite area was not comfortable. The table and chair like something out of an old Office Depot. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was bare but clean. Front desk staff were friendly. One elevator out of service. Parking lot is sketchy. To be honest, this hotel is probably better than some others in the area, but I’ve paid comparable prices, or maybe a little more, for better places. Hope they can do some updates because location is convenient for events.

It was terribly cold ouside and the cold air came in the room through a hole in the wall. They couldn't change our room because the hotel was fully booked. I had to try to cover the hole with towels and crank up the heating. The room was still freezing. Never staying at LaQuinta again.

Overall the place was a good price and location to metlife stadium. Room and place in general was very very dated and is need of renovations. 95 is outside so it's pretty loud at night, especially as one of ny windows did not shut all the way. Staff was very pleasant and the view of NYC was also nice.

The keys stopped working everytime we left the building. We had to go back down stairs from the 9th floor to get both keys reactivated every time we left and came back. Also there was no ice machine on the floors. We had to take the elevator down to the lobby and ask for ice from the front desk. Door felt unsafe, very loose. Anyone could force it open without effort. Room has a hole in the wall where the door was hitting it because the door stop was to close to the wall. Burn mark on the carpet and furniture was ragged. Did not get the room we requested. We paid for double beds but instead got a single and a hard cot.

It’s located close the American dream mall and met life stadium. The hotel itself needs some updating or at least the room we stayed in did. The heat didn’t work in the bed room area so we had to use the one in the sitting area and keep the door open. The only way the shower would work is if the bath filled up too. The door to the room didn’t feel that secure either. The handle felt loose and you had to play with it to get the door open. The staff was amazing.

Breakfast area wasn’t the cleanest, piles of trash under cabinets with no bag, it wasn’t an actual trash can. Staff kept taking phone calls at check in counter instead of helping guests there waiting.

I booked 2 queen beds via Expedia drove 9 hours to arrive and just at 2:15 pm/ 45 mins. before check in but nice lady sd. rm, not ready. When I returned late at night to check in NO ONE was at front desk? They are short staff. Finally after waiting about 15 mins. after 9PM. I had to come back down to learn that I was given 1 king bed? I've a fam of 5. Had always & only booked 2 queen beds. Hotel was full capacity I was told Expedia do switch rooms in their end without notice. I asked for cots, the guy sd. they don't have. My teenage boys determined to sleep in the van instead & as a parent I really wouldn't feel comfortable in a strange/new city. So I went bk down @10PM , another manager quickly told me he's never seen cots b4 while another CSR who was already off duty said we do have! He was already off duty, took me up to 6th floor and grabbed them for me while I quickly went up with him and felt so bad as he missed his Uber. By now I forgot his name but I did leave him a tip in an envelope when I checked out. I am so grateful for him . Due to short staff, there was no house keeping even on the 3rd day. Only 1 set of towels? Not tidy enough. All staff were very nice but it's not their fault when full capacity yet not enough staff. Pls. give the nice employee a raise or a promotion who went above and beyond to even miss his Uber, just to get me cots! If it wasn't for him I'd make a scene. I forgot his name by now but if you inquire you'll find out - Checked In Oct.17/24

The staff was great. We were on a very tight timeline and were desperate to check in early. The woman working the desk was very nice and was able to accommodate us. The property itself is in desperate need of an upgrade. The room was suitable for sleeping but not anything you would want to spend any additional time in. The bathroom sink barely drained. The door knob was broken off of the bathroom. The toilet seat was barely hanging on. The mattress was very old. But again they did accommodate my need to check in very early so I wasn’t going to complain. I did let them know at checkout that the room was in desperate need of attention. If you’re in need of a place to crash and clean up then it works. If you’re looking for any amenities or luxury look elsewhere.

It was perfect. My wife and I went for a Jets game and to see the city. The hotel was in the middle and with the bus stop right outside, it made commuting very easy. The staff was polite and helpful, and didnt mind helping a tourist figure things out. I recommend

The front desk was fantastic. They were super helpful, kind and friendly. In particular we had a great encounter with front desk clerk, Joe. He was super professional and an overall great vibe. Unfortunately as for the room, it was just OK and that’s me being nice. We stayed here in 2021 and the rooms were bright, modern and overall comfortable. This time around the room was outdated. The rugs had red paint stains. The tub was dirty looking and the faucets are peeling. The blue couch had a rip in it. Just overall run down room. But you get what you pay for so if cheap is what your looking for, close to nyc and many close by restaurants and shops then I guess this is good. We stayed here before for about a month in 2021 for a renovation in our home and this time we stayed for 2 days because we sold our home and needed a couple days before the move to another state. I hope Wyndham renovates the hotel.

Bad customer service they place don’t have no upgrade. We have terrible with the hotel they give to us a dirty bedroom and the customer service guy. Tell us go to sleep in another place after they charged me $451 for only 2 nights. I’m come back the next day for talk with the manager ! she was nice! She help to us to receive the money back!

The staff at this property is very courteous and the rooms are quite comfortable. The general condition of the building appears run down. Paint peeling off exterior, etc. We even passed a broken door on our way to our room. However their breakfast buffet was top Notch. Not only did they have well prepared food with all what you need and expect in a breakfast buffet and more, but the staff served it with pride, courtesy, and the biggest smiles.this alone made our stay memorable. It was a great way to start our day!!!

The hotel is dated and not well kept. Rooms are decent and the location is ok. The free breakfast felt like eating at a prison cafeteria. The staff watches you eat like hawks and literally count how much food you eat. You are not allowed to take not even a glass of juice back to the room. They will literally chase after you, grab it from your hands and pour it out in the trash in front of everyone. And this happened multiple times in the 20 mins we were there. You cannot even take a few creamer packets back to the room even though there is a coffee maker in the room. No fruit or yogurt selection either. I stayed here in 2023 and it was not like this at all. There must have been a change in management and it’s not for the better. I would never stay here again. Disgusting how you treat paying customers.

Location was great!!! Food and shops right around the corner. Walmart a few mins away. Bus 320 right across the street to Port Authority. $4.95 each way. Can pay cash, card, or Apple Pay on the way over but you have to use Apple Pay or purchase a ticket at a kiosk. Some security says ticket only. I recommend downloading the NJ Transit app to purchase the ticket and doing it that and you can also see when the next bus is coming. Your gate is 314 at Port Authority, the kiosk or app will tell you this also. Hotel was nice enough for a quick weekend stay. Price was reasonable. Like others said, it needs updated. Even the toilet paper holder was old and rusty lol. I’ve stayed in worse though. Would definitely stay here again due to the location and ease of the NJ transit bus getting to NYC.

The breakfast was very nice every morning and all the staff are very nice and helpful. Good folks. The facilities were all clean, grass was nicely maintained. However, you can tell this property is old and hasn’t been renovated recently. I had a suite with two rooms. Both air conditioners were set as low as they can go (54 degrees in the outer room and 60 in the inner room) the room temp. never dropped below 76 in the outer room and 72 in the inner room. There were stains on the rugs and the closet door stuck. It looks like someone patched up places on the wall and decided not to sand them down. It felt shabby and for over $700 for three nights that is not acceptable.

Bathroom sink was clogged, could only use it in quick spouts. People next door had a kid screaming loudly for sometime, the aroma of weed in the hallways was nauseating. Breakfast area wasn’t the cleanest, piles of trash under cabinets with no bag, it wasn’t an actual trash can. Staff kept taking phone calls at check in counter instead of helping guests there waiting.

This property was okay for a quick stay. The hotel is clearly outdated but it’s not the worst I’ve seen. Beds were comfy and running water was hot. Tub did take awhile to drain but once maintenance came, it worked fine. Ceiling in shower needs repairs. Fridge and microwave were clean. Overall it’s not a 5 star hotel but it’s okay. Pool was fine. Breakfast was basic sausage egg and waffles, option of making your own toast. Staff was polite.

We stayed one night at this hotel. Pillows are horrible and 1/2 the size of regular pillows. No shower products were provided. The room was outdated and there were hair particles in the shower. The breakfast was bizarre as you needed a voucher. You also were not allowed to bring your breakfast upstairs so that was very inconvenient for us when we have young children. Overall will never stay here again. Only good thing was the location. Close to Olive Garden.
