Meadowlands Plaza Hotel

Traffic was noisy at night. This did not impact me personally, but there was a sign at check in that there is no water on Mondays from 10am-1pm due to bathroom renovations. I would not be happy if I was not informed of that when I made a reservation for that time frame.

Very convenient and close to MetLife Stadium for events. The accommodations and staff exceeded my expectations. The shuttle driver did an amazing job at getting us back from the concert, but with a 10 passenger bus, it took multiple trips. If the hotel had a larger bus or more (they did have a Honda mini-van too), but not at capacity for after event pickup. That said, the crowd was patient and in a good mood and the driver was creative in getting back and forth for multiple trips.

We enjoyed our stay at the Meadowlands plaza. The bar downstairs was fun and the shuttle really came in clutch for us. Dont forget to tip your driver ( they are the best) staff overall was very helpful

Everything was wonderful, except for the elevators, which were slow.

The perfect place to stay if you attend any event at MetLife stadium. The shuttle that is provided to guests makes it easy to go there and get back.

Easy and fast check in process. I went for a game at MetLife stadium the hotel offers transportation to and from the game with adjacent American Dream Mall pick up and drop off location at level 1 parking garage A. From there you take the bridge on level 2 to MetLife Stadium is 3 to 5 min walk . Breakfast was good and included inside the hotel restaurant la reggia and it was good .The hotel offers free transportation to places around the hotel area including the Secaucus Train Station that easy connect you with a one stop train to Penn Station in New York. Overall great hotel if you're going to a game at MetLife stadium will definitely book again.

This hotel was better than expected! Price was great for a girls trip to the NYG vs Niners game!! The shuttle service to and from the Mall/stadium was amazing. The shuttle even picked us up from a close by sports bar afterwards! The guest were nice and quiet and the staff was amazing and helpful. The room was clean and spacious nothing was broken. Ibwould 100% stay here again!. Also we were able to park for free before the game! Hotelcis in a nice area and there is a restaurant/bar in the lobby.

My only sad face 😢, is there's no pool. However, the hotel's breakfast buffet was great!! Real breakfast options... eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, different breads, variety of juice, and the coffee was delicious!!

Although the hotel is definitely outdated, i would say my only feedback was the bronze elevator walls were very dirty. The employees were all very nice and the beds were comfy, overall very happy with our stay!

We stayed there for 2 nights during our visit to take in a football game and New York City. The staff was friendly and helpful and our room was spotless!

This facility is old. If your room backs up to the interstate, forget about getting ANY sleep. The road noise is extremely loud. The room size is great. It is equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. Our shower was dirty. There was no soap in the bathroom. The towels were suspect, so we went to Walmart and bought our own. The water gets nice and hot, no bed bugs, mattress and pillows were comfy, parking is free. The breakfast is TRASH. Pancakes were horrid. How do you mess up pancakes??? You could definitely taste the whole “pan” in those cakes. Just awful. The juice tasted spoiled or fermented. Selection was not a thing. Maybe it’s a northern thing though. Their would be riots in the street if that mess was served up in the south. The hotel is a mile from the convention center and 8 miles from Manhattan. If you’re a runner or walker, the walk or run to the convention center is a nice one. Safe and super clean neighborhoods. Cute homes. By all means get breakfast at Carnegie’s and skip that crap they serve at the hotel. You won’t regret it. The staff at the front desk were young but professional. The hardened uninviting northern exterior sits firmly on their faces but they were professional nonetheless. Overall it was a decent hotel. There were some wins: Parking, location, professional staff, room size. Losses: Breakfast, noisy room due to street traffic, thin walls, dirty shower, no hand soap, old facility. I definitely would not stay there again.

Of all the hotels I've been to, this is undoubtedly the best. Cleanliness and service are 10/10, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely return and recommend it.

Room was clean although one of the beds had a brown stain on the sheet. Did not use that bed. Shower looked new and was nice and clean. Overall a nice place.

It’s nice hotel. Elevator and hallway look old but bathrooms are newly renovated.

Horrible beyond belief. Carpeting in and outside the room was filthy and not maintained during our stay. Toilet paper not within reach of toilet seat (and I'm 6'4") No cup holder for soap. Bathroom counters not wiped down during stay. No place in shower to put soap and/or shampoo. TV smaller than my computer monitor. Two lamps inoperable (not just the bulbs). Complaints addressed to manager (no older than 25 years) and were dismissed out of hand. Have filed complaint with Expedia, AAA, and my credit card company for refund.

The room was big, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and nice. Breakfast was alright. Had warm alternatives, but nothing healthier for my wife. No yoghurt, fresh fruit etc. except a banana.

Terrible property. Check in was smooth and fine. Boomed 2 rooms. Both rooms AC not working on a hot day. Come morning no hot water. When complained very casual. Checked with other Tourists and all had the same issue. This was at 700am in the morning. Finally got water came after 900am after maintenance came. Property is so old Inc e can see for themselves. Not worth the rate was charged. I should get a refund and am now thinking of disputing due to deficiency in basic services.

The staff was friendly, room was clean. The bed is way too soft, I felt like I was being swallowed.

The hotel was comfortable but didn’t have hot water several times that I tried to bathe.

Excellent stay, only complaint is that the shower had no hot water in the morning. Not sure what happened. I didn’t file a complaint or make them aware it was an issue. Other than that everything else was great!

Good older building our room had an uodated bathroom. The only thing is if you are on the highway side it can be loud. Very convenient location.

Updated bathroom was nice, although not much counter space. Nice to have fridge and microwave in room. Breakfast was just ok. I didn't care for the linens- especially the scratchy blanket.

Nice clean hotel close to the stadium and dream mall. Basic buffet breakfast. Cons are the tv in the room is too small. Also was in a room on the side of the expressway and I could not sleep at night with the noise of trailers and tuned up engines rambling on the road

This was a very surprising hotel stay. It was a very reasonable price for the hotel night near NYC. The staff I encountered everywhere was terrific, pleasant and welcoming. It was a very old establishment but charming and clean. Needs some TLC from a facilities standpoint but nothing in drastic need of repair. For a short term stay it is one of the most impressive rooms I had for the cost. Also, breakfast was real not the typical hotel make your own waffle station but rather in a restaurant with real cooked food by someone with culinary care.

Maddie at the front desk was amazing. The shuttle service was incredible and took us wherever we needed to go. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable.

When you get to a hotel five minutes early to check in and you can’t while all the other guests got their rooms that were there earlier than you, well that starts the experience not great as the check in was already painfully slow and the thought of waiting in the line all over again seemed crazy over again, five minutes to four. Free shuttle to hotel after the concert was poorly organized, confusing and we ended up getting a Lyft back because we were tired of other groups cutting in front of us and shuttles picking up in areas that weren’t labeled as pick ups nor were we told that those were potential pick up locations. Shuttles are small and so trying to shuttle over 100 people in groups of six to maybe 12 took an insanely long time. All told it took us two hours to get back to the hotel which is about five minutes away. Understanding there was a lot of traffic in the area, but a representative from the hotel to keep the shuttle line organized and guests informed would have helped immensely. It is not pleasant to be in a hot parking lot garage for over an hour in an unmoving line at midnight. Breakfast was decent at least. Bed was comfortable. Water could’ve been hotter. Also didn’t appreciate the call from the desk that check out time was 11 when it was hardly 10 in the morning. Overall I would not recommend.

I won't stay here again. Required the ID's of all adults staying in the room. Had to go out to the car and get another adults ID. Then they photo copied them. Inconvenient and I don't like the idea of people having a photo copy of my ID.

Most staffers were very pleasant. There was a misunderstanding with the room cleaning however, due to the maids not speaking English. They knocked or just entered my room 2-3x daily. Sometimes they’d empty trash & clean bathroom 2x, some days not at all. Yet I received 2-3 reprimands under my door saying I had NOT let them in. I spoke to a night mgr (Franklin?) but the behavior. & memos continued. Very off-putting & uncomfortable for me as a guest. Yet also confusing to the maids, I imagine. As I suggested to Franklin,perhaps a week or 2 of ESL training would benefit the guests AND the maids going forward; because the system at present is NOT WORKING. Also had an alarm go off in my room the first night about 3am. Roman couldn’t turn it off so kindly offered to move my room, but I was too tired as I’m recovering from surgery. He also gave me ear plugs which helped, but it was not exactly a comfortable night sleep. The next morning at 9 the maintenance man came & removed the alarm in question. It was never replaced, nor was I offered any reimbursement for any or all of the cost of my first night. Rather shocking considering you advertise as a comfortable & reliable hotel.

Enjoyed my stay at Meadowlands Plaza Hotel… The hotel staff / restaurant staff / front desk / and Hotel Shuttle Driver were awesome! Breakfast buffet had plenty of options and the nearby walkable restaurants with urgent care was a huge plus!

It was very easy to get to from I-95, and the FREE hotel shuttle was SO helpful getting us to the Secaucus train station to get into NYC. The price was super reasonable for a nice sized room with 2 queen beds, and the parking was free. The bathroom had been renovated recently and everything was very clean. We had a view of the city skyline from our window. Highly recommend as a budget-friendly, clean, convenient, safe place to stay when visiting NYC!

We came from a long way and arrived early. They accommodated us and checked us in right away. Room was immaculately clean thanks to room service ladies. Even though we told them we didn’t need anything they still cleaned the room during our stay which was nice. Breakfast was added bonus with fresh&hot coffee, milk, juices, scrambled egg, seasoned potatoes, sausages, toasted bread, pancakes, syrup, grape jelly, peanut butter, cream cheese, bagels, muffins, cereal etc. There were coffee machine with single use coffee pods, microwave, fridge in the room. Ice machine and vending machine were available on the same floor with the room. There were plenty of free parking spots. Great location to visit NYC. 8 min. walk to Front St - Hudson Ave for bus route 129 stop, which takes you to Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan in 25-30 mins. Never had any issues about delay etc. Hotel also had free shuttle service but we didn’t need it. With their competitive price and great service, will definitely be our first option in this area.

Love my stay , really convenient location for MetLife stadium events and even for tourist on NY city since they offer shuffle to the Secaucus station and train can take you directly to pen station (Madison square garden) , but I don’t like was the front desk white Chik(glasses) of the first day what an attitude

Great hotel. Would stay there again. Due to local ordinance, all adults must show their ID card (driver’s license, passport). This is NOT the hotel’s policy but town officials. Nice place, close to NYC. Restaurants are close by.

The hotel was clean . The front desk staff was great . The thing I didn’t like was the buffet no bacon. And the greeter was rude ! And was taking the coffee and hot water off the serving table before 10:30 am. And when asked she smirked .

The hotel appears somewhat dated as you enter the lobby, but if anything that simply adds to the charm. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom has clearly been renovated very recently. The hot breakfast buffet was wonderful, and the staff in the restaurant were also very friendly and attentive. The only negative to the hotel was after we’d had a particularly long day, we return to the hotel to find a party being held on the mezzanine which was directly underneath our room. The music being played was so loud you could feel it through the floor. I approached the front desk and asked about the end time for the music and was told it “should be end between 11 and 11:30.” They were apologetic but there was nothing else offered to compensate for the fact that we literally couldn’t go to sleep. It was disappointing that music at that volume would be allowed to be played until that time of night when you’re literally paying to sleep here. All of this being said, I would still stay here. I’d just make sure to ask that I’m not on the second floor, directly above the mezzanine.

Great fit for us for 3 nights. Good sized, overall clean room. Really nice shower. Convenient to NYC and American Dream Mall. Lots of parking available. Carpets need cleaning. Breakfast was included and good but same exact options each day. Would definitely stay again.

It’s close to American Dream. The food on the breakfast buffet was lukewarm. We were in the room showering when housekeeping came knocking on the door telling us that we need to check out it was 10:05 checkout is 11. We also got a call from the front desk reminding us that check out was 11. We knew that and was already packing up. So we immediately left the room since it was obvious that they didn’t want us in there much longer.
