Extended Stay America Suites - Secaucus - Meadowlands

This was my second time staying and I will stay again. The location is great. Close to the city. There’s free parking and I felt very safe her as a solo traveler. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. That’s a joy to have in this day and age. The rooms are tidy and clean and have the standard amenities. The bed is comfortable and the bedding is perfect. And most of all the price is amazing especially for this area. Sometimes these long term hotels can be a hit or miss but this one has been consistently good. There’s not a lot of noise or sketchy people. The only thing I can’t speak on if breakfast because I didn’t partake but every other aspect is top tier. If you need a comfortable no fuss and affordable place near the city I’d recommend it highly.

My room had a strong disgusting odor and the bathroom had rust everywhere. Bed extremely uncomfortable.

Found that this hotel was very run down and dirty. In need of a lot of updating, maintenance, and care. Little to no amenities, and the breakfast is just coffee and muffins/granola bars. Hair in the showers, linens were dingy, hallway smells like dogs and cigarettes. Handicap accessible doors were out of order, doors were heavy and hard to open. Would not stay here again.

This hotel is right up there with the Carousel Hotel when it comes to being dirty. There was trash all through the hallway way as we made our way to our room. Everything was old and outdated in our room. They don’t do a good job with cleaning this place, there was trash in our room behind the little night stand. I only noticed it when I pulled the nightstand out a little so that I can get to the outlet to charge my phone. The best thing about this place was the staff, they were pleasant and attentive. I would not recommend this hotel and I don’t know why I let my friends convince me to stay here because it was minutes away from American Dream.
